RAINBOW DASH POV
I opened my eyes and blinked. I felt a little light headed. I opened my eyes some more and saw all my friends. "What happened?" I asked. Feeling a pain in my wings. "I saw you stuck on a branch. With your wings hanging down." Twilight said."Oh. I'm in the hospital right?" I asked unaware of my surroundings. "Ya. Your Ponyville hospital. Me and applejack carried you there." Twilight said. I thanked her and Applejack. The doctor walked in. "Can you put this mask on?" He said. I became skeptical. "What is it?" I asked. "Oxygen" the doctor said. "For what? I can breath fine." I said, still feeling light headed. The doctor put the mask on me. "Your dizzy right? This'll make you feel better faster." The doctor said. I accepted it. I stopped feeling lightheaded and I sat back in the bed feeling quite comfortable except for the pain on my wings, right hind leg, and head. A nurse rolled in a wheelchair. "Okay we're gonna go see if you need surgery or not. So they're gonna give you a check up Ms.Dash." The nurse said. They rolled the chair up to my bed. "I can still walk." I said. Then I felt a throbbing in my back hing leg. "Sorta." I said. I sat on the side of the bed and hopped up and limped over to the chair. "I'll just walk there." I said, not liking the thought of being in the uncool chair. They just shrugged. "Just let her go." Twilight said. She knew I was as stubborn as a mule. I hopped in the chair and decided that the chair would be a better idea. They wheeled me down to a room and helped me up on the table. The doctor looked at my cut arms and legs. He looked at my wings and said,"Her bones are badly broken, causing to misshapen the wings. She may be in the hospital to recover for up to a month. " A month?! I felt dizzy for a moment. I thought of the day they would release me. It would be back to my normal life. " A MONTH?!" I shouted. "Rainbow! Calm down!" Twilight said. "NO! I don't wanna be in the hospital for a month! Not even a week! Not even today! I wanna go home!" I screamed like a small filly getting a feather flu shot. I was lost deep in thought. What would I do? Should I try to escape? "W-will I feel the surgery?" I asked. "No. We will knock you out for it. And you'll feel extremely happy before and after!" The doctor said. Trying to cheer me up.
FLUTTERSHY POV
Rainbow Dash started hyperventilating all the doctor said was surgery and some knock out stuff that will make her really happy. "What's wrong?" I asked. Rainbow Dash stared at me with her magenta irises and said, "I don't wanna feel really happy. I won't be happy I'll just be really loopy. Loopy enough to feel happy." Rainbow Dash explained. So that was it. She was afraid of the gas. " Rainbow Dash, it would be better if they put you under. You won't feel the pain." I said. "You would actually feel the small pain. But you'd be so out of it that you wouldn't even care." The doctor corrected me. "But I don't wanna be out of it! I don't care if you knock me out but I won't be happy!!!!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Rainbow Dash please, just calm down. We can either have it today or tommorow." I cooed. Coming back from talking to the doctor about her laughing gas fear. "Um. Tomorrow. So I can have more time to sulk." Rainbow Dash huffed. "Is tomorrow at noon a good time for you?" The doctor asked her. "Whatever." Rainbow Dash grumbled. Hours went by.
RAINBOW DASH POV
I woke up with a feeling if relief. Then a rock formed in my stomach. I looked at the clock and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. What time was it? I rushed and hopped to the clock. 11:00. No! No! No! Only an hour!!!! I moaned and went back to my bed. I didn't feel tired. But I was nervous. The next thing I heard was,"Hi Rainbow Dash!" All the doctors taking care of my and my friends had a special key to get into my room. They don't really want me getting up to answer the door. They came in with a huge bed cart. It was time. "NOOOOOO!" I howled. "Rainbow Dash calm down. They will put you under." The doctor said. " THATS THE PROBLEM!!!!" I shouted. They put me on a hospital bed. They rolled me down some halls and some corridors. They put me in a clean hospital gown and took the bandages off. You could see the bone. I gagged at the sight. It still hurt really bad. They took me to another room. "Where are we going?" I asked. "The anesthetic room." The doctor said. "Huh?" I asked. " That happy gas stuff." Twilight said. My eyes widened and my stomach flipped. They took me into the room. "Would you like the mask or the iv?" A young nurse asked. "Um, a.... Mask?" I said. "Nervous?" She asked me. "Ya." I admitted. She almost immediately had a mask out. "Ok so. This is just laughing gas 'cause you're a little nervous. But you'll just feel very happy. Like drunk." The nurse said. She was coming at me with the mask. My heart raced. "Can you um..... Lighten the load a bit. I kinda feel a little dizzy." I said. The room spinning. I felt like I could float right off the table. I also could feel them strapping down my wings.
TWILIGHT POV
Rainbow Dash seemed fine. She didn't seem as scared but not loopy quite yet. "Are you ok Rainbow Dash?" I asked. "We are just prepping her." The nurse said. "I feel fine. Just a little dizzy. And I feel like I could float right off the table." She said. I just stared blankly. Well it's good she was in no pain. " Well the nitrous level is really low. Just enough to take the edge off. We'll keep using more and more as time goes on." The doctor whispered to me. I saw the doctor turn the nozzle a little and Rainbow Dash didn't notice. She seemed a little more relaxed. Maybe confused. "I think I have to much. I feel a little more dizzy and I feel tingly." Rainbow Dash said. They injected a shot of painkiller in her wings. She didn't even notice. She wasn't wacked out or sleepy yet but she was dizzy and tingly. "You're supposed to feel that way." The doctor said. After the prepping was done they let Rainbow Dash breathe oxygen for a few minutes before she felt back to normal. Then they put another mask on her. One that went over her nose and mouth. "Now. You are going to feel really happy and sleepy. And silly." The nurse said.
RAINBOW DASH POV
I was really scared. The laughing gas didn't make me happy. It just took the edge off. The room started to spin a little and my vision was getting wavy but that's all. The nurse put the mask over me. The wavy vision came back again and I felt like floating. I also felt a little happy. I tried to break through the feeling of the loopiness that was coming over me. "I don't like the feeling." I whimpered. "It's only been on for a minute Rainbow Dash." Twilight said. I still felt a little happy, almost as if a filly got no homework on a Monday. But the happy feeling was spreading over me and I shivered for a second.
TWILIGHT POV
I read all about laughing gas! It makes them like happy and relaxed. Sounds like a good experience.
APPLEJACK POV
I was out of the room for a second because I had to use the fillies room. And when I came back they had Rainbow Dash hooked up. "Howdy Partner! How are ya doin'?" I asked. She only whimpered. "I HATE this feeling. I'm not happy at all. Just utter disgust." Rainbow Dash complained. "She must not be under yet." The doctor said. "I feel a little bit. My vision is wavy and I feel happy every five minutes or so." Rainbow Dash said. I saw the doctor walk over to this nozzle and toggle the tank a little. Then I saw Rainbow Dash. She seemed to be calming down. About 3 minutes later she was totally loopy.
FANFIC-Wings
Rainbow dash perched happily on the tree. She gleefully jumped from branch to branch almost as if it was her own personal playground. The tree was a little old. Down in Ponyville more than 20 years old. The other ponies were roaming around Ponyville. Doing about their own business. Rainbow Dash perched from a branch, her wings spread wide. Not noticing the branch snapping she sat happily becoming quite tired and lied down. She relaxed her whole body. Including her wings, which she didn't realize she'd have to use them in a second. The branch gave way. Taking the top branch down too. Rainbow Dash's heart lept as she realized she was falling through the trees. Finally when she hit a pointy branch the top branch hit her on the head, she got dizzy and passed out.
TWILIGHTS POV
I was truly terrified to see Rainbow Dash on the hanging by her wing unconscious. I raced away to get help.
APPLEJACK POV
I lept as a pounding was heard. Someone was knocking on the door. I walked to the door and opened the door to see a frantic Twilight. "RAINBOW DASHS HURT!!!!" Twilight shouted. "Woah, partner calm down. Now explain sugarcube." I said calmly. "Well, I saw Rainbow Dash knocked out with her wing hanging on a branch in a tree!!! She needs help we gotta get her to a hospital!!!" Twilight shouted. "Ok partner,let's go." My voice shaking with fear. I had questions. How did it happen? Is Rainbow Dash ok? I raced behind Twilight. Finally she stopped cold in her tracks. I looked up to see an unconscious Rainbow Dash with her two wings hanging on pointy branches. Twilight levitated Rainbow Dash down and wrapped her wings in a magical bandage to stop the bleeding. Each wing was crooked. As if a bone in the wings have gotten broken. Twilight and I sprawled Rainbow Dash on their backs and carried her to Ponyville Hospital. The doctors said the bones in her wing are mildly damaged. But she would most definitely be able to fly again.
