An Equestrian Girl needs a Doctor

Part One

Peaceful Night had befallen the Equesetrian, Luna's moon stood on high its glowing aurora lighting the darkness for all those who walked in the night. However in the Crystal Empire things were not all that peaceful for a evil deed was about to be committed that would not only effect Equestria but the destiny of the multiverse as we know it.

"My Crown!" Twilight Sparkler shouted as she saw that her crown had been stolen by a strange hooded figure who broke into her room in the Crystal Empire. Twilight got out from her bead and using her newly acquired wings chased the mysterious figure through the hallways of the castle.

"Ugh...Ah" Twilight began to trip and fall as her wings were she was still not used to flying since she was a Unicorn before she became a Alicorn Princess. Quickly the thief began to get away but Twilight had one more trick up her hoof, using her magic she teleported herself right in front of the thief causing her to trip and have the crown fly out of her hoofs and fly right into a mirror going straight through it. The thief apparently a unicorn used her own magic to teleport herself out of Twilight grip and towards the mysterious mirror.

Her cloak was now removed and Twilight saw her, she was a orange unicorn with a red curly mane. Looking at Twilight the strange unicorn gave her a evil smile and said.

"Sorry it had to be this way...princess." With those last words, she went through the mirror and was gone.

From behind the sound of hoof steps were heard as Twilight saw her friends as well as Princess Celestia head towards her, seeing wondering what had just occurred.

"What was all the ruckus about." Applejack asked sounding worried.

"Someone tried to steal my crown and it went through that mirror." Twilight explained, still exhausted from the chase.

Princess Celestia looked at the mirror her face filled with both fear and sadness. "I was afraid something like this would happen one day."

"What is it Princess Celestia." Twilight asked sounding worried.

The Princess gave a deep sigh as she looked at her student. "Twilight I'm afraid that a important and difficult journey lies ahead, but I'm afraid that for something as important as this quest to succeed we will require some help."

"Help." Twilight repeated.

"What kind of help." Rainbowdash asked sounding skeptical.

"We will require the help... of a Doctor." Celestia said.

Twilight did a double take. "A Doctor....Doctor Who?"

Twilight was pacing back and forth in the middle of the throne room in the Crystal Empire, panicking and feeling ashamed at the fact that she had failed to keep her crown which contained the Element of Harmony safe, but now it was in a world were a greedy unicorn lived. Twilight's friends tried their best to cheer her up and calm her down but to no avail.

"Don't worry Twilight, you'll get the crown back soon, I know you will." Applejack said.

"Yeah and then we can have a saved the crown party!" Pinkie Pie added.

"Oh I hope your right, but what if Sunset Shimmer has the crown already, what if she's using it to cast some sort of dark spell what if..."

"Relax Twilight, if this Sunset Shimmer was casting some sort of evil spell wouldn't we notice it already." Rainbowdash said actually brining logic to the conversation.

"Yeah, I guess your right, still I wonder why we have to wait for this Doctor to help us."

"The Doctor is a old friend of mine." Princess Celestia said walking up to her student. "He has helped me and my sister on several occasion, he has seen his fair share of adventure, I know he will be of great aid to you Twilight."

Twilight nodded" I understand princess, I just wish he'd get here soon."

"He will be here, I sent him a message to arrive as soon as possible." Princess Celestia said.

"So is he taking the train or what." Rainbowdash asked.

However her question was answered as a strange screeching sound appeared getting louder and louder. As it did from out of nowhere a strange mysterious blue box began to materialize until it fully generated standing right in the middle of the room.

"What is that." Fluttershy asked looking intrigued at the strange blue ship.

"It appears that the Doctor is here." Celestia said smiling.

Their was silence as they waited for the doors of the strange blue box to open up, however nothing seemed to occur.

"Are you sure the Doctor is in that thing." Twilight asked.

Suddenly a loud bang sound was heard inside the blue box as the sound of voices and shouting could be heard from inside.

"Dinky! Dinky! Give The Doctor back his Sonic Screwdrive!" Said a voice that obviously came from a male stallion but with a strange cockney accent.

"Dinky! Dinky! Listen to your father!"[.i] A high pitched mare voice said. Rainbowdash eyes widened.

"Hey that sounds a lot like..."

CRASH

*"Oh, Doctor are you okay." the high pitched mare voice said again.*

"I'm fine muffin, just tripped over one of the TARDIS cable's, nothing broken but...ah...finally got my Sonic Screwdrive."

*"Hey guys come on isn't the Princess of Equestria waiting for us." came the voice of a young adult mare.*

" Oh your right my big muffin, come on lets go say hello." *The stallion said.*

Soon the doors of the blue box began to open and the first head to pop out was that of a grew pegeasus with a yellow mane a crossed yellow eyes.

"Derpy!" The Mane six said in unison.

"Hey guys." Derpy said waving to them.

"Wait...So Derpy's the Doctor." Twilight asked

Derpy seemed confused. "Me...No silly, The Doctor's my husband Time Turner.

Then emerging from the blue box a male stallion with a spiky brown mane and a hour class for a cutie mark appeared.

"Hello everyone." The Doctor said with a childish grin on his face. Then he saw the Princess and immediately gave a respectful bow to her. "Princess Celestia, a honor as always to see you."

"The honor is all mine Doctor." The Princess said bowing to him as well shocking everyone in the room except for Princess Luna who smiled gently at The Doctor.

The last two to emerge from the blue box was a young grey unicorn with short yellow mane and a full grown pink unicorn with a short purple mane.

"Ah everyone, I'm sure you remember my two daughters Sparkler and of course little Dinky." The Doctor said with pride.

"Hello." Sparkler said seeming a bit nervous to be in front of royalty.

Dinky on the other seemed to be bursting with joy. "Wow this is so cool the Crystal Empire, this so awesome I can't wait to tell everyone in school about it!"

"Calm down Dinky." Derpy said as she tugged the little filly over to her. "Don't interrupt the Doctor business.'

"Sorry Doctor!"

"That's my little muffin."

Rainbowdash leaned in to Applejack and whispered, "if their his kids then why do they call him Doctor."

Applejack merely shrugged.

"Well, that's my name Doctor." The Doctor replied obviously overhearing the conversation much to the two's embarrassment.

"Time Turner.." Twilight interrupted. "I...I don't understand really...why are you here."

"Oh, oh, I want to guess, I want to guess." Pinkie Pie said as she took a huge breath of air and then blurted out without a single pause in her speech, "Your not really a pony but an alien from ancient civilization simply known as the Time Lords from the planet called Gallifrey, however your planet was destroyed during a war, but not just any war a time war, the Last Great time war I'm guessing against a evil race known as the Daleks, and now you are the only one of your kind left, you've been traveling around the universes though time and space for thousands of years, but I want to guess 900 to be exact and you travel in a that blue box thing which I want to guess is called a TARDIS which stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space and you like traveling with companions and your latest one has been Derpy and your two daughters!" Pinkie Pie took a deep breath as she tried to regain the oxygen to her head. Everyone else just stared at her and then slowly turned to the Doctor who clearance.

"Yep she's right." The Doctor said calmly.

"Yeah!" Pinkie Pie cheered still trying to catch her breath.

"Well...Okay then, now that, that's taken care of, I'm still not sure why you are here Time Turner." Twilight asked.

"Please call me Doctor everyone does, and I'm sure either but if Princess Celestia asked me here, I know it's important considering..." The Doctor started coughing and giving second glances.

"Um.., Yes." Celestia said trying to get down to business. "Doctor I have summoned you here to help my pupil Twilight Sparkler retrieve an Element of Harmony."

Here this The Doctor looked at Celestia with confusion. "Um...Excuse me your highness you want me to help retrieve a magical piece of jewelry, no offense but can't your pupil and friends handle this themselves."

"Normally I would agree whole heartily." Celestia said her voice becoming stern. "But I'm afraid the situation is a bit unique, you see that mirror their." Celestia pointed to the strange mirror in the middle of the room.

"Yeah, looks like a normal mirror to me. "The Doctor stated examining it.

"Looks pretty too." Derpy said. "Maybe it's a portal."

"Derpy please a mirror being a portal why would the princess..."

"She is correct." Celestia said shocking The Doctor. Derpy merely smiled in pride.

"This my dear Doctor is a portal to another world, one that we know little about and ,one where Sunset Shimmer is located. I do not want my pupil going in their alone."

"Okay...But why am I here." The Doctor asked again still seeming confused.

"Doctor, you are Equestria experts of other worlds, considering you came from one, if I am not mistaken." Celestia said.

"Oh, see Doctor the Princess thinks your a expert." Derpy said giving him a big hug.

The Doctor merely blushed "Well...Expert me...well I ...yeah your right I your guess."

Sparkler and Dinky looked at each and merely rolled their eyes in embarrassment.

The Doctor cleared his voice and straighten himself up and looked determined. "Well then your highness I'm happy to help out any way I can. Me and my family would be happy to accompany Twilight and her friends to this strange world."

Celestia faced suddenly saddened. "I'm afraid dear Doctor that your family nor Twilight's friends will not accompany you this time."

"WHAT!" Both the Doctor and Twilight said in unison.

"I'm afraid so, this world is very different from ours, sending more outsiders to this world might upset the delicate balance between our respective worlds." Celestia explained.

"So, I can't go with my family." The Doctor turned around and saw his wife and two daughters still in shock about this news. "I...I ...I understand Princess."

"So, we can't go with the Doctor." Dinky said as tears began to roll down her eyes.

The Doctor looked at his daughter staring to tear up as well grabbed a hold of her and comforted her stroking her mane. "Don't worry muffin I won't be long, besides someone has to stay behind as backup in case I goof up."

Dinky smiled a little as Derpy then hugged the Doctor.

"Derpy are you sure you'll be okay with this." The Doctor asked.

Derpy remained strong trying not cry but she too was sad at the fact she would not be able to join the Doctor in this adventure. As they embraced the two of them starred into each others eyes for a few moments that the very love could be felt by everyone in the room.

"You still have key to the TARDIS?" The Doctor asked.

"Yes." Derpy pulled out a small key that she apparently had around he neck.

"Good, always have that one you, never know when the TARDIS will save your life, especially if I'm not around."

"I will Doctor."

After a few more moments of hugs and goodbye's from his family The Doctor was ready to go, he saw Twilight saying her goodbye's to her friends as well getting her saddle bag and getting ready to head off.

"Well miss Sparkle, are you ready to go." The Doctor asked.

"Ready."

The Doctor and Twilight headed towards the mirror taking a deep breath, The Doctor turned to his family to get one last good look at his family.

Smiling the Doctor let out one last word. "Allons-Y!"

His family smiled. "Allons-Y"

With that The Doctor jumped head first into the mirror Twilight following behind although she now wondering if it was such a great idea to have this Doctor come along with him instead of just going it alone.

Alone in the darkest corners of the universe a lone figure watched from the shadow's as he saw on a holographic screen the Doctor and his newly acquired Princess companion jump in the mirror to head of to the new world.

Tapping his fingers the figure could not help but smile. "Finally...It has begun."
