The sun rises on the glorious days of days. The rays barely bounce off the eggs that lay across the ground in Ponyville and all around Equestrian Prime. Eggs laid by mothers and fathers early under the last shinning light of Luna's moon Celestia's dear sister. But on this morning which she usually fill with indulging with early morning conversational breakfast with Luna but on this morning something has really caught her intention. A certain yellow letter with a nice purple and green tie around it only indicating that its another letter concerning the relations of her favorite student and her mate. She had always hoped that she would find a mate but she never would have thought she would end up with the one she raced thought still she was happy for her.

"Monring lulu." Celestia says inkling her head to her younger sister.

"Good morning Sister! I see something has you happy this morning."

Ah Luna. She's never been able to miss a single thing really even when they were younger. Only Discord her and only sometimes Twilight have ever been able to read her emotions from the way she walks and talks.

"Why yes something does. Twilight has invited me to come visit her and Spike for Ponyville's first Bunny day parade."

"Ah! That sounds much interesting! I'm sure it will be much fun! Tell me about it when you return!" Luna says clopping her hooves together.

"Of course Lulu." Celestia says floating the ingredients for cereal.

Twilight and Spike stare at each other both with devious grins. Their morning has started nothing less of strange as nothing is ever normal in Ponyville. They have been talking about this day for many weeks now since Marech started. Bunny Day were eggs lay about waiting for people to find. Most people say that they lay the eggs but in all hindsight Twilight believes something greater lays the eggs.

"You ready Twilight?" Spike asks glancing at the door to the library from the kitchen table where they sit.

"More than you think." Twilight says her back legs tapping away on the floor feeling the void of silence that the two have as she watches the clock for time to start.

The clock winds down and Twilight raises her right fore hoof.

"Ready... Set.... Go!" Twilight yells as the clock strikes eight.

Spike pushes the table to the side making Twilight trip up a bit on her start and soon Spike it out the door ready to win.

"Darnit Spike!" Twilight yells getting up and running after Spike.

"That was never in the rules!!" Spike yells from out the open door.

Twilight sighs and wonders why she had to teach him about loophole She sighs again and closes the door behind her unlike one rude dragon. She watches as Spike begins his search automatically heading for the park. Twilight levitates a basket from the side of the door by the steps as well as two eggs from the bush to the right.

"Maybe this will be easier than I thought." Twilight says giggling to herself.

Thus began the great Bunny Day hunt.

Spike, with a giant smile, smashes through the town moving rocks and bushes apart searching for eggs. Even though he knows he doesn't need to rush he still feels the need to. He feels the need to out do Twilight or else. He shivers at the thought and the conversation they once had.

After a while of non egg finding her takes note to the CMC with a basket full of shared eggs. He feels his stomach growl and rushes over to the girls.

"Hey guys!"

"What is it?" Applebloom asks.

"Yea what is it?" Scootaloo says impatiently her slightly grown wings buzzing at her sides.

"Do you guys think you can help me find some eggs before Twilight get too many before I can catch up? Spike asks frantically.

"And why should we do that?" Sweetie asks rolling her eyes.

"Yea! What would you do for us in return?" Applebloom asks sitting on her flank and crossing her forelegs.

"I don't know ummmm I guess do all your chores for a week?" Spike says hopefully.

"Hmmmm tempting... tempting..." Scootaloo says nodding her head.

"How about two weeks!" Sweetie says happily.

"Fine! Just let me have your eggs too and it'll be a deal!"

"Alright here ya go!" Applebloom says pushing the basket over to spike who promptly pours the eggs into his mouth swallowing them whole leaving three preteens staring in shock.

"Alright now help me find more. I skipped breakfast so I can stuff as many as I can find in my gut!"

"Uhhhh Wha... Why did you?

"I'll explain later! Hunt first!" Spike says quickly starting to look for more eggs.

Deciding to shrug this off for a matter of later the three fillies decide to help hoping to get a good explanation later.

Twilight chuckles to herself seeing the effort that Spike is putting in. Even watching him recruit the Cutie Mark Crusaders. She wonders to herself if she'll have to round up the girls to help her out. She shakes her head dismissing the thought knowing they have their own trouble including Pinkie who hasn't been seen around of late.

Oh well." Even though she doesn't want to lose: she doesn't want to rely on other ponies to help her out quite yet .

With that in mind she turns and looks at her two baskets full of eggs. She really can't wait to see the look on Spike's face at the end of the day. At least than she doesn't have to worry about things she doesn't want to do. Espcially...

She shakes at the thought and continues to egg hunt keeping her mind away from that dark cloud in her brain.

Twilight lets out a breath of hot air in a dissatisfied puff. She stares at Spike as he covered in egg. It really is something of mystery on how one can get covered completely in egg. Twilight shakes her head wondering why Spike would go through all this trouble to try to cheat. In fact she literally has the right mind to just call off this entire thing if what she was going to make him do.

"So, Spike, what have we learned today..."

"Cheating with help isn't a good idea..."

Twilight sighs and face hoofs herself, "What elsedid you learn?

"Play fair and chickens are evil."

It isn't exactly what she wanted to hear but it's good enough. Well the bunny parade is about to start which is a good thing for her.

"Well Spike, a deal is a deal."

Spike sighs, gets up, and head up stairs head lowered is dismay ready for his fate. Twilight is already giggling imagining the looks on everyponies face. Meanwhile at the same time Celestia lands in front of the door of Twilight's abode. Hearing the landing Twilight stands and quickly goes and open the door.

"Hello Princess Celestia! You've made it just in time! The parade is about to begin and the main event is almost ready!"

"Well I thank you for inviting me and I can't wait to."

She stops her sentence and watches as a purple dragon walks down the stairs in a giant bunny costume. Celestia stifles her laughter as best as she can. Though it is hard with the current situation.

"Alright let's get this over Twili... Princess Celestia!?!" Spike yells wishing he could shrink away and disappear.

"Hello there Spike." Celestia says trying her best to keep the laughter out of her voice but failing, "You look very... Exotic."

"Doesn't he!" Twilight exclaims giggling.

"Yea yea yea yuck it up you two..." Spike says folding his arms across his chest, "If only I won..." He mummers to himself.

Twilight and Celestia stand beside one another in the crowd of people. Twilights friends are on either side of them every so often switching sides to talk with others and each other. The pride is going smoothly all thanks to their towns planner.

"Where's Spike by the way?" Rarity asks pondering why Twilight's dragon friend isn't with her.

"He's here. In fact." She says as a giant flower begins to open up for the last float, "He's right here."

Spike hopping around feeling the crowd with merriment and laughing. Rarity covers her mouth with a hoof flabbergasted as well as stifling a laugh, Rainbow and Applejack are rolling on the ground laughing their lungs out, Fluttershy is being Fluttershy imaging all the different suits she could put Spike in, Pinkie is laughing as well, but not as hard as everypony else. As for Celestia and Twilight... Well, They lay fainted from laughing to hard along with a few other members in the crowd. All and all it's a good day in Ponyville.
