A young Saiyan sat upon the edge of a mountain pondering his thoughts,this young Saiyan's name was Zero.Zero,raised on Planet Earth by two Saiyan parents after Vegeta's destruction,was born with bed head like hair that seemed to defy gravity sticking straight up much like Vegeta's but angled more to the right.During his young life he loved to fight like every Saiyan would. At the age of 15 he met the Z Fighters before there launch to Namek where they fought Frieza and soon he was fighting along side them against all sorts of foes. It had been 6 months since the fight against Buu on the Planet of The Kais and now the Earth was finally at a time of peace after so long. Goku and the others went back to living there normal lives. Well as normal as a Saiyan gets at least.
The gang still got together ever so often to catch up on old times after not being able to do so after years of fighting against enemies like the Saiyans, Frieza, The Androids, Cell, and Majin Buu. The more Zero thought the more he realized that, what else was there to do? Sure the world was at peace now and it was because of the Z Fighters, but Zero didn't really have a purpose now that there were no-one that threatened the Earth. Although everyone could finally spend time together, Zero was never really good at being social and he had to admit that he kind of missed all the adventures they went on. Even when him and the others would train, it never felt the same as fighting against someone like Frieza or Majin Buu where he was forced to push his limit without worrying of hurting those close to him. Maybe...maybe it was time for a change, see new worlds, fight new opponents and go on more exciting adventures.
'Maybe Bulma can help me out.'Zero thought as he flew off, making his way to Capsule Corp Industries. As he began to see the familiar building in the city, he recognized some energy coming from outside:The Z Fighters
"Hey Zero, down here!" He recognized the voice as Gohan's
"Hey guys,great to see you!" shouted Zero descending to his friends below "It's been a while." It was true it had been about 2 months since Zero last saw everyone and he had completely forgotten all about their get together. Good thing he happened to be coming here when he did.
"Well then come on over and grab something to eat I know how much you Saiyans like that." Bulma offered
"Actually Bulma there's something important I need to talk to you about." Zero said putting on a serious face.
"Is something wrong Zero?" Zero felt a hand grasp his shoulder.He turned to be greeted by non-other than Goku.
"No Goku its just that I've been thinking a lot and well...I think i should leave Earth for a little bit."
"Now why would you do something like that?" protested Bulma
"Well it's just that nothing has happened to Earth lately and I don't really have a purpose here anymore, so I think I should visit new worlds and see if there's any new adventures for me out there." Zero explained.
"But what if something happens again and we need you?" Gohan Protested
"That shouldn't be a problem I mean some of you are stronger than me so i'm sure you'll be able to handle yourselves if anyone decides to attack Earth.Zero reassured
"That sounds like a great idea!" exclaimed Goku.
"Goku how could you say that we haven't seen him in 2 months and now he's gonna be leaving for a few more years." shouted Bulma
"Don't worry Bulma he'll come back just like he said, besides I remember the adventures we went on as kids." said Goku
"Ok, I guess you Saiyans love to do exciting things, I hope you know what your doing Zero." Bulma sighed
"Don't worry Bulma i'll be careful, anyways I was wondering if I could use one of your Capsule Corp Ships so I can get some training done along the way?" Zero asked
"I suppose,the only thing we still use them for is so Vegeta can use the gravity training so we've lots to spare." Bulma offered
"Great so do you mind if I take one that has the gravity feature?" asked Zero hoping to get going now.
"Your leaving already but we haven't seen you in 2 months." said Gohan
"I'm sorry everyone i'd love to see all of you again, but I really want to get going." Zero said rubbing the back of his neck.
"Alright, follow me." sighed Bulma
One Hour Later
Zero was packed up and ready to go.He kept it simple bring only his Turtle Hermit Outfit, a bag of Senzu Beans he picked up from Korin, and a Photo Album full of pictures of his friends to remember them by. Zero approached the entrance of the ship but was stopped by Goku and the others.
"Here take these."Bulma held out a box of Dino Caps.
"I don't think I need those, I can move around just fine without a vehicle ya know." Zero said turning them down.
"No dummy, these are filled with supplies like food and shelter." An annoyed Bulma said
"Sorry, in that case I might need those, hehe." He took the box from her hand and put them away in the pocket of his GI.He was approached by Goku who had a somewhat serious look on his face.He placed a hand on Zero's shoulder looking at the younger Saiyan.
"Zero, promise me you'll keep training so if we see each other again we can have fight." Goku said putting on a smirk.
"I promise I will Goku and maybe we'll even get to fight at our full power!" Zero exclaimed
"I can't wait until then, Zero make sure you take care of yourself out there." Goku said
"I will Goku!"He made his way into the ship and approached Bulma who was at work getting the ship ready for takeoff.
"So is it almost ready?" he asked
"Just about also I upgraded the gravity system so it can now go up to times 1000!" Bulma proudly stated
"Wow thanks Bulma I can't wait to try it out!"
"It's what I do. Annnnnnnd..done, it's ready to fly!"She exited the ship leaving only Zero at the doorway.As the door slowly began to seal he turned around to look at his friends one more time.They all waved at him saying there goodbyes for now.He waved back moments before the door sealed and the ship began to take off leaving Zero alone to himself.Zero couldn't wait to start his new adventures he was so excited he could feel his Saiyan blood coursing through him.
"I'm so excited I can hardly wait, but I should train in the meantime!" He said to himself. He approached the gravity dial and slowly turned it up to X500 for now to get used to the sudden change.He began flying around the room kicking the air and throwing rapid punches in every direction as if fighting an invisible enemy.
One Week Later
"Approaching planet surface,please prepare for landing in 15 minutes." It had been one week and Zero had been anxiously waiting for his arrival on a new, undiscovered planet and had quickly gotten used to the times 1000 gravity training which had somewhat increased his power.
'Alright one step closer to being able to fight Goku!' He thought to himself.Zero looked out a window of the ship and saw the planet his ship was headed for.It was a planet similar to Earth except more green forests could be seen on the land surfaces.
'I really hope there's civilization here." Zero thought.The ship was soon in the planets atmosphere and was quickly making its way to the surface so it could land.
"I guess now's a good time to get something to eat!" he laughed walking to the small refrigerator Bulma put in for him."Mmmmh I sure love noodles!" he grabbed a large bowl of noodles and began scarfing it down like it was the last thing in the Universe.
Near the Entrance to the Everfree Forest
The Capsule Corp. ship slowly descended down and soon came to a stop on the planet surface.Zero quickly exited the ship and took in a breath of air.
'It feels like I was inn there forever i'm glad Bulma's such a great scientist, I hate long trips.' He thought relived. He began to look around to scan his surroundings.In the distance he saw what looked like a town like the ones Goku told me about where he first fought the Red Ribbon Army,except not covered in snow. He also noticed a large barn about a mile off from the town, but what really caught his attention were the seemingly endless amounts of trees in the fields behind it.
'I wonder what they grow?' He thought as he made his way towards the town.As he approached he noticed the town was not very active until he heard a scream come from somewhere nearby.He looked around to find the source but found nothing.Maybe they're afraid of me.
'It's West City all over again.' He sighed and began to search around for energy sources and found energy in the shape of small...horses? Well it could have been weirder.As he walked toward the highest energy source nearby-which happened to be some sort of tree-house? or maybe a house-tree?-to reassure the locals he stopped when he heard a far cry, but it was more of a battle cry than tearful crying.
"NOOOOOOOO! I WONT LET YOU HURT ANYPONY!" Came a tomboyish voice.
'Anypony?' He thought as the creature got closer and soon he could make out a blue, rainbow haired, pony flying straight for him on a collision course.
*BAM* The small creature fell unconscious to the ground after slamming into Zero who was unfazed by the impact.
'Well that wasn't a great way to start off with this new contact.' He thought to himself and began to pick up the small horse.
'I can just leave it here it really hurt." He thought concerned for the poor thing.'Maybe that high power nearby will be able to help' He made his way to the tree and soon came to the front door.
*KNOCK,KNOCK*
Meeting The Ponies (Edited)
Chapter 2
Zero had no idea what he was getting himself into.
'Please don't get the wrong idea.' He nervously thought while holding the unconscious pony in his arm.The clopping of hooves on wood and the sound of something solid hitting the ground could be heard from the inside the tree.He hoped this wouldn't turn out a disaster but with his luck it probably will.His thoughts were cut off when the door suddenly flew open revealing a purple pony who wasn't even looking his way.
"Hello how can I-" She ceased speaking when she saw what had knock. In front of the doorway stood a large bipedal creature wearing some sort of orange clothing.Twilight noticed it strongly resembles primates although this creature had no fur except it did have a monkey tail wrapped around its waist and had a large spiky mane of it head.She was trembling, not knowing what it would do and if it was dangerous but her emotion soon changed to anger when she noticed Rainbow Dash conscious in it arms.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!" She yelled as her horn became intertwined in magic.
"This is her own doing she ran into me." Zero calmly responded walking inside and closing the door not wanting to attract anymore attention .Twilight was surprised it spoke but that still didn't change anything for her.
"DON'T LIE TO ME!" Twilight used her magic to pull Rainbow Dash out of his arms and placed her on the other side of the library.She was fueled by anger at the monster that hurt her friend.She turned back to the perpetrator with determination in her eyes "Listen, I don't want to hurt yo but-" He was cut off as he felt himself being lifted into the air.He tried to move but he was immobilized, he looked over at the pony to see it using some sort of energy wave to lift him.He sighed not wanting to hurt the little ponies but he couldn't let this get out of hand.He began to build up a small amount of his ki and broke free from the grip.
'How did it do that?!" Twilight was shocked to find that it could counter her magic but she would not give up.Mustering a large amount of her strength she created a magical barrier around Zero.
"Good luck trying to get out of there, nopony has ever-" She was cut off as Zero broke through the barrier with a punch as if it was like glass.Twilight hit the floor in pain from the magic backslash.She could barely move as the creature slowly approached her.She closed her eyes fearing the creature was going to hurt her. But instead she felt something else, a warm sensation washed over her, as she opened her eyes she saw the creature sticking its what she presumed to be hands, like a dragon or griffons just without claws, at her.It was emitting a gold light as she felt her energy slowly returning.
"What are you-" She was cut off with a response.
"I told you I didn't want to fight, what happened to your friend was their own fault they saw me in town and thought I was going to hurt "somepony" as it seems you ponies would say." Zero said
"I- I'm sorry.I didn't mean to jump to conclusions like that." She said with a guilty expression
"It's alright I've had people think way worst about me." He replied. They sat there in silence as Zero healed her. "There you should be good as new."He said with a smile.
"Th-thank you I feel much better now.But if you don't mind me asking just who and what are you and where are you from?" She asked anxiously wanting an answer.
"My name is Zero and I'm a Saiyan from Earth." He gladly responded.
"Saiyan?Earth?I don't think I've ever heard of a Saiyan and definitely of any country named Earth."She said curiously.
"That's because Earth's a planet not a country." He snickered.
"Wh-what your telling me your from another planet? But how is that possible?" She asked not believing her ears.
"Well Bulma is really good with science,she make ships that can go into space and that's what I got here in."He replied.
'Amazing' She thought, she was the first pony every to make contact with an alien.There was so much she could learn from him, his planet, the life there, the science, the-
She was cut off by a loud rumble almost like a growl.She looked around nervously looking for the source and soon found it when she saw Zero clutching his stomach and rubbing the back of his head.
"Can we get something to eat, I'm starved!" Zero exclaimed giving a hearty chuckle.
"Well what exactly do Saiyans eat?" She wondered hoping it wasn't ponies.
"Well we Saiyans will eat pretty much anything that we can but we usually eat stuff like Fruits,Vegetables and Meat." He listed off.At the mention of meat Twilight began to slowly back up fearing that she may be on that list.Zero noticed this. "Don't worry I'm not gonna eat you I would never hurt anything innocent even if I wanted to." He reassured. With that Twilight sighed in relief.
"Well I don't have any food here but my friend Applejack has an apple farm outside of town and might be willing to give you some." She offered
"Great lets go." Zero exclaimed.
"Let me leave a note for my assistant telling him i'll be away when he gets back." Twilight levitated a piece of paper and a quill to herself and began to write.
"Alright, but what about your friend over there." He said gesturing to Rainbow Dash.
"Oh, right I almost forgot about her, hehe, don't worry Applejack's grandma can nurse her back awake." She replied as she finished the letter.
"Alright let's go!" Zero grabbed Rainbow Dash and Twilight then put two fingers to his head.
"What are you-" Twilight stopped when she noticed they were no longer in the library but looking at the Sweet Apple Acres barn-house. "But- No magic- Impossible- I." She could not grasp what had just happened.
"Come on." Zero yelled as he slowly ran towards the residents door. Twilight decided it was best just to ask about it later so she wouldn't have a mental breakdown in front of Zero.She followed Zero over and knocked on the door.
"Let me do the talking." She demanded. Zero nodded and stepped out of the doorway sight holding Rainbow Dash in his arms.The sound of slow hooves approaching the door could be heard.The door slowly opened.
"Oh why hello there Twilight dear what can I do ya for?" It was Granny Smith, a very fragile old green mare.
"Oh, hello Granny, we were wondering if Applejack was around." Twilight responded.
"Oh,she and Big Mac are out in the field buckin them trees." She motioned to the acre fields.
"Thank you Granny, also if it's not to much trouble can you help Rainbow Dash, I think she's unconscious." She asked
"Oh, dear did that poor dear get hurt flyin again?" Granny worried.
"Well no, okay Granny please don't freak out at what your about to see." Twilight pleaded.
"Freak out about what deary?" She asked curiously.Twilight motioned Zero over to the door way. Granny Smith's eyes widened at the sight of a large creature that looked sort of like a big monkey standing in her doorway holding Rainbow Dash. "Who's yer friend Twilight, he sure is a tall one?"
"I know he may seem scary but- wait your not scared?" Twilight was confused most ponies would run away or attack him like Dash did.
"As far as I've seen you seem ta trust this fella." Granny smiled at Zero. "So what's your name?" She asked Twilight.
"My name is Zero ma'am." Zero answered politely.
"Such a polite young man." Granny said. "Go on and bring Dash in we'll put her in Applejack's room till she wakes up." Zero brought Rainbow Dash upstairs where Granny showed him Applejack's room and placed her on the bed. "Thank ya deary."
"It was no problem." Zero replied. "Now... Let's go get some apples!" Zero exclaimed.Twilight facehoofed but Granny Smith could only smile that this new creature wanted to try some of their fresh grown apples.
"Well now, yer welcome to as many apples as ya like." Granny Smith offered.
"Alright then i'm starved!" Zero quickly grabbed Twilight and pulled her outside running off into the outside trees.
"That boy sure has some energy." Granny Smith stated to no-one in particular.
Outside
"Zero slow down!" Twilight yelled at him.Zero immediately stopped.
"I'm sorry." He said putting her down.Twilight picked herself up.
"It's fine." She sighed. "Now I think Applejack should be around here somewhere." She said looking around.
"Yep she's about 30 feet that way." He said pointing to his left.
"How do you know that?" She asked.
"I'll tell you later, right now i'm hungry." He then began walking towards the direction he pointed.Twilight followed not knowing if he was telling the truth or not.They soon came to an opening where an orange pony could be seen using its hind legs to kick the trees, Zero thinks that was what Granny meant when she said bucking. "Excuse me!" He slightly shouted as he got a bit closer. Twilight gave him a surprised expression.Applejack stopped bucking but did not look away from the tree for a moment.
"What can I-" But what she saw when she looked back surprised her. Standing next to Twilight was a large monkey looking creature even bigger than Macintosh. "W-what are ya?" She asked nervously.
"Hey, I'm Zero." He greeted as he held out his hand towards Applejack. Applejack backed away in fear thinking his handshake was a sort of threat. "Hey don't worry i'm not gonna-"
"Get away from ma sister!" A gruff voice could be heard from the right of Zero.
"Huh?" Zero looked over to see a large red pony charging at his. He prepared himself to defend himself. Big Mac spun around mid-step and kicked with tremendous strength at Zero. But instead of him going flying, Zero had a grasp on Big Mac's hind hoofs during the impact.
"What the-" Big Mac had never in his life seen a creature like this that could withstand one of his kicks like it was nothing. Even a dragon would have felt that.Zero pushed him away not wanting to hurt him.
"That wasn't nice you know, I wasn't going to hurt her." Zero calmly said.He approached Applejack. Big Mac could barely move as his legs were now very numb but he was trying very hard to stop the creature.But before he could move he felt a hoof on his shoulder and looked up to see Twilight stand above him.
"Don't worry, he won't hurt her." She reassured.Macintosh had no choice but to trust her.
"Hey, my name is Zero, don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you." Zero assured her as he held out a hand.
"Pl-pleasure ta meet yer acquaintance pardner, I'm Applejack." She nervously put a hoof forward.Zero shook her hoof in return.Zero then walked over to Macintosh.
"Hey, are your legs okay?" He asked concerned
"Ah think ah can manage ta stand on my own." Mac said as he slowly stood up on his hooves.
"Well, now that that's all over." He looked at Applejack then gave a huge grin. "Can I have some apples?!" Twilight nearly fell over after that statement.
"Well, I suppose it's only right after what my brother tried to do, go head and take as many as you want."Applejack offered.
"Wow thanks!" Zero kicked the nearest tree dropping all its apples.Using his quick speed he caught all of them and began to scarf them down like nothing. The ponies were shocked what they were witnessing. The creature had just bucked the tree of the apples, caught all of them and was already eating them down in no time flat.Applejack trotted over to him.
"Ya might wanna slow down on them apples, else yer gonna choke." She warned. Zero swallowed.
"But i'm still hungry!" He complained after he finished his fourth apple
"Ah come on now, look how many apple ya ate, ya gotta be full." Applejack stated
"Okay I guess." Zero obliged not wanting to be rude and eat all there apples.
"Well now that we got that outta the way can I ask ya a question?" Applejack requested
"Uh, sure." Zero replied.
"What exactly are ya, I ain't ever seen no creature like y'all before." Applejack asked
"Oh that's easy." Zero said. "I'm a saiyan from Planet Earth."
"A Sai-yan?" She asked confused.
"As Vegeta would say we're a race of some of the strongest,most prideful warriors from Planet Vegeta."
"I thought you just said your from Earth?" Asked a confused Twilight
"I am, Planet Vegeta was destroyed by someone evil named Frieza-who apparently ruled over the Saiyans at the time- after he got scared of some Saiyan legend that one of us would be become stronger than him, at least that's what I was told." Zero explained " Anyways some Saiyans escaped the explosion, some stayed loyal to Frieza, while the others inhabited different planets, in all there was only about 12 survivors from the destruction that I know of,which include my family, Vegeta and Goku."
"Wait you sayin' this "Frieza" destroyed yer planet?" Applejack worried "How is that even possible?"
"There's plenty of people way stronger than that, Goku already beat Frieza like 20 years ago if I remember, I'm pretty strong to ya know I could beat Frieza even as I am right now." Zero slightly bragged
"What do ya mean as ya are right now?" Applejack asked
"I'll explain some other time anyways, more questions?" He asked
"Well how about this Goku, when did you and him meet?"
"Well I met him during the fight with Frieza after I went with my friends Bulma,Gohan and Krillen to Planet Namek. At the I'd say I was about 15 at the time." He said thinking back to his first time seeing Goku stand up to Frieza.
"15? Didn't your parents say anything about you going into space?" Twilight questioned. Zero was quiet for a moment but soon spoke.
"I- i'd rather not talk about that right now, please." He requested with a hint of sadness in his voice. The ponies noticed this and quickly changed the subject.
"Well y'all sure handled that kicking Big Mac gave ya, how'd ya get so strong?" Applejack asked
"Well Vegeta said something about Saiyans being naturally strong and growing stronger every time they heal from a fight." He explained to the best of his knowledge on Saiyans. "Plus we usually do a lot of training on Earth.
"What kinda trainin y'all do? Lift boulders or somethin?"
"Nope, we train with a gravity chamber?" He replied
"Gravity chamber?" Asked Twilight with a twinkle of science in her eye
"Yep, Bulma makes them, they can increase gravity in one area up to a thousand time higher, I flew a ship here that uses one."
"Wait, y'all flew a space ship here?" Applejack asked
"I guess if you wanna call it that." He answered
"That's amazin I'd love to see it sometime." She said
"Sure, why not,we can go now if you-" He was cut off
"Don't mean ta interrupt but Dash is wakin' up now." Granny Smith said as she slowly moved into sight.
"Good I need to make sure she didn't get hurt to badly." Zero said
"Why what happened?" Worried Applejack
"Well when I tried to go into town, she sort of, charged at me but ended up hitting her head to hard on me and fell unconcious." He explained
"I'm terribly sorry 'bout ma friend Dash, she's stubborn as a mule." Applejack apologized lowering her hat
"It fine, believe me I've dealt with worse, anyways we should check on her." Zero said " Now everyone put a hand- I mean hoof on me." Everypony complied as he put two fingers to his head.Quicker than they could blink they were in front of the barn house.The Apples were shocked.
"How'd y'all do that without any magic?" Asked Applejack
"It something Goku taught me, it's called Instant Transmission it lets me move anywhere I want at the speed of light, pretty cool huh?"
"I'll say that's quick handy, right Big Mac?" Asked Applejack
"Eeyup." Said Big Mac using his usual vocabulary. They all walked inside to see Rainbow Dash at the stairs looking at Zero with an angry expression on her face.
"GET AWAY FROM THEM!" Yelled Rainbow as she flew at Zero
"Here we go again." Zero said preparing to stop her. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
