Fallout Equestria: The Sound Of Thunder

I remembered almost nothing from September everypony was gone well almost everypony.  I looked at my wings trying to remember how to use them but I was shot I knew that I could fly but it just didn't click.  I walked through several towns and met new allies one of them had a picture of me and four other ponies and yet I didn't remember them.

I stumbled upon an old castle with several different broken stained glass murals each with a picture from my past showing each of the other four ponies acheivements and I was among them, I was a hero.  I was curious to who these ponies were and searched for the nearest library. Using the bracelet on my right fore leg I spoke into the speaker requesting coordinates to the library. It spoke in an electronic voice saying "Ponyville" followed by a message by a unicorn stallion.

"Hello, Thunder if you're hearing this we left you in stasis in what's left of cloudsdale, slashwing said that you may lose your memory in the process and in case you do I just want you to know that we're coming back."

I thought to myself that it was a short message and shrugged it off. I turned for a second to head to Ponyville before i heard the sounds of machine guns shootings and ponies screaming.  I ran as quickly as possible and in the heat of the moment my wings flew open and caught the wind just enough pick me up off the ground I flapped to stay above ground and it came so easily. Something clicked and I gained a memory of my flight and shot high into the air and off to my destination.

I flew for hours until the bracelet beeped over a single tree in the middle of nowhere i flew down and this tree had a door.  I knocked to make sure nopony was in there I walked in and I was immediately tackled by a yellow alicorn stallion covered in blood.

"Thunder, is that really you? I haven't seen you since those many years back when we had to leave Equestria."

I asked him his name and why they left me behind and he quickly responded that it was Everfree.  Just then I gained a new memory of my friend and realized he was not the same he used to be stubborn and strong and incredibly smart and compared to now he was shy and very willing to hide in the face unlike his old self.

He guided to something called a stable and did something I'd never thought I'd see, him using magic for the first time I saw my friend Everfree use magic.  He said that the others were out scouting the area for other survivors to make sure  we can sustain life.  I noticed that everfree's wings were wrapped up as if the were to be protected from something, I asked him why they were wrapped up.

"Let's just say it was an accident." he said "Besides Slashes are much worse than mine are."

I wandered around the stable and looked at everypony else that was here, Everfree led me to the main room and told me that things may be different from before. I gave a cold response as if I already knew but, then again who didn't know that things are different, everypony was safe with their families and friends and pretend nothing happened.  After awhile we walked past a training facility where a blue pegasus stallion was training recruits for the outside. We continued forward and reached our destination and the glass on the door said "Puzzle Piece".

Upon entering we saw three more ponies standing in front of a desk, each of greeted me and said welcome back.  I didn't want to seem clueless and responded "It's good to be back."  The green unicorn walked behind the desk and pulled open a drawer, he pulled out a red hat.

"It must've been a long time for you because I know you don't remember everything but I do know that you know Everfree, Let me introduce the rest of us, I'm Puzzle Piece, the red pegasus is Slashwing, and the blue unicorn is Lucid Dream. We are the Travelers, we go through Equestria in search of survivors of megaspells and guide them into the nearest stable."

This story sparked my memory and I remembered the rest of my friends and original personalities I picked up right away that no-one was the same as they used to be.

"How long has it been?" I asked.

"It's been twenty years Thunder. All of Equestria is a wasteland but this is something I'm used to." said the red pegasus.

I went to a mirror and noticed an age difference the only difference with my friends was how long their hair was.  It was short compared to mine they seemed well groomed and kept.  My hair was much longer and dirty, they decided that i get a haircut. We went to wash my mane and tail and being cleaned was awkward with other ponies in the same room.  After that we went to the barber to trim it down.

"What kind of style you want?" asked the barber.

"DJ PON3." I replied

After leaving the barbershop and having Slashwing pay for it made me feel bad for relying on him.  He told me that it was fine and that it was generosity that helps those around this stable.  We walked past an adoption center, I asked if we could go check it outand surely he let me see what was inside. When we walked in I saw plenty of fillies and colts running around in excitement.  I looked around and one stood out to me she had a white mane, tail, and eyes.  I walked up to her smiled, and she looked back at me and smiled back. I asked Slashwing if I could adopt her but, he said that he doesn't know how a blank got  in there and that it was not an option to adopt her.

He also pointed out that I still didn't have all of my memory and that it was not safe to even think of that.  I insisted that we adopt her and I explained to him that I wanted a companion with me to talk to in case I got put in stasis again and she would be there.

"But why her?" he asked.

"There's something about her that puts me at ease."

For awhile we argued about my decision and he finally gave in. When I signed everything the beneficiary guardian allowed me to name her and I named her Silver Streak.
