Nightmare #1: The Slumber Party
Twilight opened her front door and let all of her friends in. Tonight she was gonna have a slumber party, one far better than the last. She wanted all her friends to enjoy the magical fun of a sleep over.
"Alright Spike, off to bed." Twilight said to the purple dragon while pointing to the stairs.
"Awe come on Twilight."
"Now," the book clearly said no boys allowed at her sleepover. Spike looked over at Rarity with pleading eyes.
"Sorry Spikey-Wikey I can't help you."
Spike started to head up stairs when there was a knock on the door. He kindly offered to answer it, anything to keep him there a little longer. Surprisingly Princess Luna was standing before them all in sleeping attire.
“Princess Luna, is there an emergency?” Spike asked confused but, ready for action.
“Of course not.” Everypony looked at her confused. “Let us start the party!” The Princess of the night walked in casually like she was invited.
Playing it cool, and not wanting to ruin the slumber party, Twilight came up with an excuse why Luna was here. “Uh, guys I forgot to mention I invited Luna.” Twilight winked an eye at the princess when she was about to object.
Realizing that she was crashing the party she had to be invited to. When really she overheard them talking about it when she visited Ponyville earlier that day. Princess Luna decided to followed along with Twilight’s getup. “This is right, thou needed some company.” Luna and Twilight both gave big fake smiles hoping to convince the others.
They just smiled and nodded not realizing or caring that their friends where lying. The party was just about ready to begin but, first Spike had to leave.
“Okay Spike, that’s enough go to bed.” She nodded towards the stairs.
“Why does thou kick out little dragon?” Luna looked confused and a little bit sad that Spike was leaving.
“Well,” Twilight explained, “the book says boys aren’t allowed in slumber parties.”
“And you must listen to this book, why?”
“Well because I want this to be perfect and fun.”
“Dragon is not fun?”
“No that’s not what I meant.’
“Ah think Spike is fun,” said Applejack.
“Yea I like Spike,” Rainbow chimed in.
“Fine, I won’t go by the book.” Twilight turned to the dragon giving her puppy dog eyes. “Spike you can stay.”
“Aw Yea!” Spike grabbed a pillow and laid on the floor next to Rarity.
“So what does everypony want to do first?” Twilight looked around at her friends.
“Oo,” Spike stood up excited. “We should tell scary stories. I mean, if you girls can handle it.”
Everyone immediately got defensive.
“Oh I can soo handle this,” said Rainbow Dash.
“Ah bet you’ll get scared before ah do,” Applejack dared.
“Bring it!”
“Thou can handle any scary story.” Luna said with full confidence.
“Just because I’m a lady, it doesn’t mean I can’t handle a few scary stories.” Rarity fluffed her pillow she was laying on.
Pinkie Pie jumped at the sound of a story. “Goodie this is gonna be fun.”
“Oh well I don’t know about this. I guess I can listen to a scary story or two.” Fluttershy hide behind her tail ready to block out any scary parts.
“Well than I guess, thanks to Spike, we’ll all be telling scary stories than.”
Twilight put everyone's name in a bag and shuffled it. She pulled a name from the bag.
“Okay first to go is, Princess Luna.”
The princess gulped and her confidence slowly went away. Now she had to impress her friends with a scary story. Why not tell one from personal experience. What’s more scary than the past.
“I call this story, ‘The tale of Nightmare Moon’. Told from personal experience.”
