Equestria Under Siege

Right before we went to the Everfree Forest, we had a small meeting on the outsides of Ponyville, where we all gathered and we also told the plan to Vinyl and Derpy, since they were not in the hospital when we made it.

“So… Derpy, Rainbow Dash and I are going to go for a manticore eye?” Vinyl asked.

“Yes, that’s the plan” I said.

During the meeting we repassed the plan again, and we decided to meet up back at the hospital, were Zecora would stay in order to take care of Fluttershy.

“Ok, then let’s get going then” said Rainbow Dash, she wanted to get going as fast as possible.

“Wait” Ayla said “We can’t just go like that.”

Ayla then moved to the front and tuned around so she could face us all.

“We need to be able to communicate while we are in the forest” Ayla continued “That is why I brought these.”

Ayla took some circular devices from her pockets, she had three of them.

“These are communicators” she added “I built them back at my dimension and I brought them here, I believe they will be useful.”

“And how do they work?” Twilight asked, she seemed curious.

“Oh, sure, I’ll teach you” replied Ayla.

I wondered what they meant, but I didn’t care a lot, I was worried about Fluttershy, I couldn’t stop thinking about her, suffering, I wanted to get the medicine as fast as possible for her.

“Night Wolf” said Ayla “I’m talking to you.”

“Huh?” I replied “What?”

She was talking to me? I didn’t notice.

Ayla sighed “Night Wolf, you need to keep your mind together” Said Ayla “I asked you if you could explain them how to use the device.”

“Oh, yeah” I replied “Sure.”

I moved to Ayla’s side and I took one of them, I had some experience with them before, Ayla used to use me as a test subject for almost all of her experiments, except the ones she knew for sure would hurt me, I wonder why, maybe she did care about me.

“Ok, first we turn it on” I explained while I searched for the on button, it was on the top-right side of it “We press this button and it’s on.”

“Ok, that’s enough” Ayla interrupted “the rest is too complex for a simple explanation from you.”

I felt kind of offended.

“Now, you only need to turn it on and you will be able to communicate with all the other teams” Explained Ayla.

“Seems simple enough” Added Twilight.

“Oh, one more thing” said Ayla “You will also need weapons.”

“Oh no” I interrupted “We are not going to use your guns.”

“No, no, no!” Ayla said while she shook her head “I know you are too weak, errm, I mean ‘nice’ to kill, so I will lend you these non-lethal weapons, just to defend yourselves.”

The other girls seemed upset by this.

“Are you sure we need ‘weapons’?” asked Rarity “Isn’t it a little bit too much?”

Everyone seemed to agree with Rarity.

“Yeah, we already entered the Everfree forest before and we never had the need for weapons” added Rainbow Dash.

“Well, we did have some moments where they could have been useful” added Twilight “Maybe it isn’t a bad idea to bring some.”

“Yeah!” said Pinkie Pie while jumping with excitement “It will probably be fun!”

I wasn’t completely convinced, but I guess it was for the best.

I sighed “Fine” I said “we will bring some.”

“Good” said Ayla, happy “Now, let me show you my arsenal, but be careful, not all of them are non-lethal.”

She took a small cube from her pocket, and she threw it to the ground, then it began a countdown.

“I would recommend you all to stand back” Ayla added.

We all followed her advice and moved back, when the countdown reached 0, the box became a big box filled with weapons.

“Enter” said Ayla “Take what you like.”

Everyone entered and began choosing a weapon, I didn’t enter, Vinyl was the first to get out, she had a sword-like club, and it looked like it was made of a material similar to a baton.

“Hey Night Wolf!” Vinyl said “come on! Choose a weapon!”

“Nah, I don’t need one” I replied

“Why?” she asked

“Don’t you remember? I can create weapons out of nowhere” I replied while I made a gun blade appear on my hand

“Oh, yeah, I remember now” Vinyl said

Everyone got outside of the weapons room, Derpy had a baton, Pinkie Pie had a metal staff that was as big as her, Applejack had tough gauntlets and a pair of iron boots, Twilight had an iron shield, Rarity had a staff like Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash had a pair of batons and Spike came out with nothing.

“Huh? Why didn’t you grab anything?” I asked.

“Oh, I did grab something” Spike assured, then he pulled out a small stick from his pocket, it then transformed into a small hammer that was just his size.

“Cool” Rainbow Dash said.

“I think we are ready” I said.

“Yes, we should get going” added Ayla.

We all were ready, so we split into the pre-deigned teams and we began our journey to the Everfree Forest.

“Hey, Night Wolf!” Said Ayla before we split “Remember, Not. A. Single. Word!”

I nodded with fright, everyone seemed confused by this, but no one asked a thing.

After a couple of minutes, we reached the Everfree Forest, we entered and we split, after some seconds we lost sight of the others and we were left alone.

“Well, it didn’t take long to lose ‘em all huh?” Applejack said

“Yeah, I hope nothing bad happens to them” I replied, worried

“Oh, don’t worry!” said Pinkie Pie trying to cheer me up “They will be fine!”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right” I agreed “By the way, why are you… skipping?”

“Oh, because it’s fun!” she replied with a smile

“Hey Night Wolf, will ya check yer map?” Applejack asked

“Oh, sure” I replied while I took out the communicator from my pocket and I pressed the map button in order to check the map

“Ok… let me see…” I said while checking the map “We must be… here” I pointed on a zone close to the entrance “So if we keep on this route, we should be able to get there quickly”

“What are we looking for again?” asked Pinkie Pie

“We are looking for a strange flower” said Applejack “Did ya forget?”

“Oh, I remember now” Pinkie replied

While we were advancing, we heard noises coming from the trees around us

“Wait” I murmured “Did you hear that?”

“Yeah, ah heard it too” Applejack replied, murmuring “What do ya think it is?”

“Not sure, but we should keep our eyes open” I answered

The sounds stopped for a while, so we decided to keep moving.

After 10 minutes we decided to get a rest since the route we were following was strangely tiresome, we sat on the grass to rest

“Hey Night Wolf” said Pinkie “I was wondering, what did Ayla mean when she said ‘Not a single word’?”

I blushed, but I managed to cover my face before they noticed

“Um… no, it’s nothing” I assured

“Are ya sure?” asked Applejack “It seemed important”

“No, it wasn’t, eitherway, if I tell you, she would probably kill me” I replied

“Well, she is not here, so, come on!” Pinkie added “Tell us!”

“No, believe me, she will know if I tell you” I replied, trying to hide my blushing

“Aw, ok, but I will discover it sooner or later you know!” Assured Pinkie

“I hope it’s later” I answered “Anyway, we should get going”

“Yeah, we…” Applejack was interrupted by a strange sound, it sounded like an animal

“What is that?” I asked

Then something came out from the trees, and whatever it was, it wasn’t alone, they were like 6 of them

“What is that!?” asked Pinkie

After they stopped moving, I saw what they were

“Changelings!?” I asked “Again!?”

“What? It’s 3 times already!” said Applejack

But there was another one, this one was tall, like Princess Celestia, but her body was like the body of a changeling, she came closer to us

“Oh no…” said Applejack scared “It’s… Chrysalis!”

The big female changeling seemed to answer to that name

“Oh, you remember me, how cute” said Chrysalis

“What are you doing here Chrysalis!?” asked Pinkie Pie

“Oh, I’m here to kill you all” said Chrysalis

“What?” I asked “But, why?”

Chrysalis laughed “Not you Night Wolf” she said while laughing “only everyone else”

“But, why do you want to kill them?” I asked “Why?”

“Because” she said “Now, make a favor and get out of the way Night Wolf, I don’t want to hurt you”

“No” I said firmly “I won’t let you harm my friends”

I stepped forward and I spawned a gun blade and I copied the abilities of Squall in order to control it properly and I placed myself in defensive stand to protect Pinkie and Applejack.

Chrysalis laughed “Do you really believe you can stop my soldiers?” she mocked “You don’t stand a chance!”

I held the blade tightly “Try me” I said

“Very well…” she said

“Wait” said Applejack “If you want to attack Night Wolf, you will have to fight us as well”

“Yeah, if you mess with him, you mess with the whole bunch!” said Pinkie Pie

“Very well” said Chrysalis, then a grin appeared on her face “Kill them all”

A changeling rushed on me, he was very fast, but I managed to block his punch with my blade, then I got a chance so I slashed him with the blade, but he managed to evade it.

He was very fast, much more than the previous changelings, I slashed again, but he evaded again, but this time, he answered with a kick, I couldn’t block it, his kick hurt a lot and it knocked me to a nearby tree where I crashed, the tree almost fell down by the strength of the crash.

He was very fast and very tough, I couldn’t lay a hit on him, but I didn’t give up, I had to get Fluttershy her medicine, then I got an idea.

“Is that all you’ve got?” I said, then I spit on his face.

Then he grabbed me by the neck tightly, he prepared his hand to kill me, just as I planned.

“Huh, you’re not… very smart… huh?” I said.

I held my blade tightly and I slashed through him in a quick movement, his face changed from a grin to a suffering one, but there was something… odd, no blood came out of his body.

“Gyaaargh!” the changeling screamed in pain.

He left me go and he fell to the ground, but he disappeared like a group of… pixels…

“What the..?” I mumbled.

“Oh, I see you just discovered my little secret” said Chrysalis.

“What the hay is going on here!?” said Applejack.

I realized that both Applejack and Pinkie Pie had defeated their foes, and they disappeared just like mine.

“Oh, as you can see, these are not completely real changelings” she affirmed “They are prototypes of my new invention.”

We all looked at each other.

“What do you mean?” I asked “What do you mean with ‘prototypes’?”

“Well, I don’t see why I shouldn’t explain it to you” Chrysalis said

“You see” she continued “After a while of training my changelings, I realized something, they were weak and they got tired easily, they couldn’t hold on a battle for more than 4 hours, because after that, they would fall, exsausted, so that’s when I thought about a way of getting stronger soldiers”

She then began walking back and forth, interesting, she was similar to Ayla.

“Then I got this crazy idea” She continued “And what if I ‘create’ my own soldiers? So I began the experiments, I scanned the changelings, saw their strengths and weaknesses and I eradicated the weaknesses like exhaustion, then I created this”

Chrysalis pointed at one of her ‘Prototypes.’

“This inventions of mine are perfect, no weaknesses at all, they are the perfect killing machine, and the best of all is that they don’t think, which means they can’t reveal against me” She explained

“But, then they are just machined” I said “They have no thoughts and they can’t act by themselves”

“No, they can’t, that is why they are perfect!” she replied with excitement “And the best of all is that with them, I could simply eradicate the other changelings!”

“Wait, what!?” asked Pinkie Pie “What do YOU mean with that!?”

“What I mean is that I killed most of the changelings, and the few that remained, I placed them in a prison” Explained Chrysalis “It wasn’t hard though, my inventions dealt with them easily”

“What!?” I said surprised “But how can you do something like that? They are your people! And you are their Queen!”

Chrysalis laughed “Haha, you still believe I am Chrysalis don’t you?” she said, then she continued laughing.

“What do ya mean!?” asked Applejack “Ya ARE Chrysalis”

“Yeah, you look like her, you act like her, you even smell like her!” said Pinkie Pie “Oh, and by the way, you should get a bath”

Chrysalis kept laughing “I am not Chrysalis!” she continued “Do you really believe that Chrysalis would kill her own people? She loves her people, she only hates you”

“But, if you are not Chrysalis then…” I said “Then who are you!?”

“Hahahaha” she laughed “You guys are so funny, I can’t believe you actually thought I was Chrysalis, so funny!”

Then a dark purple smoke came out of her feet and it covered all of her body, some strange lightings came out of the cloud of smoke.

When the smoke cleared, Chrysalis was no longer there, there was man, he was about my height, and he looked a lot like me, but he seemed more… dark, more shadowy, more… evil.

“Hahaha” said the mysterious-looking guy “Now you see my real body”

“What the hay!?” said Applejack “Who are ya?”

“I am darkness incarnate, I am pure evil” said the mysterious guy “I am your worst nightmare!”

“Cut the introduction and tell us who you are” I insisted.

“Huh, I see you are still as desperate to die like before” he said “Well, my name is… Shadow!”

“Shadow?” I said “Never heard of it.”

“Of course you haven’t heard of me you moron!” he said, he was getting pissed “This is the first time I reveal my true identity!”

“Oh really? Then you must be a ‘noob’ in this” I replied “No wonder why your ‘inventions’ were so weak”

“How did you just call me!?” he said

“I called you ‘noob’, why? Are you gonna cry?” I answered

“SHUT UP!” he said, angry

He did have an anger issue, I wondered if I could use it at my advantage.

“Well, you are not only a noob, but a coward as well” I mocked.

“What do you mean with that!?” he replied.

“Oh, nothing” I said “It’s just that, you prefer to send your pitiful inventions to deal with your troubles instead of facing them yourself”

“I’m not a coward!” he yelled “I CAN DEAL WITH YOU EASILY”

“Oh yeah?” I continued “Then prove it!”

“VERY WELL!” he said, then he pulled a device from his pocket and pressed the button of it, after that all of his ‘inventions’ disappeared.

“YOU AND ME, ONE ON ONE, NOW!” he said, he was filled with anger, I could see it.

“Very well” I replied.

He stretched his arm and opened his hand, then darkness filled his hand and it took the form of a sword which looked a lot like mine.

“What?” I asked “How did you do that?”

“Did you really think you were the only one with the ability to copy videogame-character abilities” he said

How did he know I had that ability? I just discovered it earlier that day.

“You are probably wondering how I know your special ability” he continued “Its easy, I know every move you’ve done since you came to Equestria”

“What?” I said “How can you know?”

“Oh, that is my secret, you will realize someday” he said “But for now, I will kill you”

He prepared himself for battle, and so I did, we were ready to attack each other.

“Wait” he said “Now that I think about it, I can’t kill you, not yet, so I will go for now, I could kill your friends, but nah, I’ll simply watch while Fluttershy dies from her sickness, it’s probably too late already.”

A cloud of dark purple smoke surrounded him and when the smoke cleared, he was gone.

“He is gone” I said, then I realized that Pinkie and Applejack were gone as well “H-hey? Where are you girls?”

Then I saw footprints, I decided to follow them.

After some minutes, I saw them, they were coming back the direction I followed.

“Hey, girls!” I said “Where were you?”

“Oh, hey Night Wolf!” said Pinkie Pie “How did everything go with the mean guy?”

“Yeah, did ya beat him?” said Applejack.

“He disappeared, but, where were you?” I asked again.

“Oh, yeah, we went for the flower while you fought him” said Pinkie.

“So, you just left me alone?” I said.

“Well, yes, but we got the flower” said Pinkie.

“Well, we knew you would beat him, so we decided to go for the flower, that way we could get it and now we can take it to Fluttershy and she can get better” explained Applejack.

“Well… I guess you’re right.” I said “But at least you could have told me.”

“We couldn’t.” replied Pinkie Pie “You were too busy fighting with the baddies.”

“Let’s just take this to Fluttershy ok?” I said.

We moved on to the exit, it didn’t take long, but I was a little weak from the fight with the ‘invention’ of Shadow, I think it may have broken my shoulder, or maybe it was nothing.

“You know what?” I said “Go ahead, I’ll catch up with you in a moment.”

“Are ya sure?” said Applejack.

“Sure, take the flower to Fluttershy.” I replied.

They moved on to the exit, it was so close that I could see Ponyville, but something was wrong… I felt a strange feeling, like if something was going to go wrong…

“Hey Night Wolf, come o…” Pinkie Pie said before she was interrupted by a strange dark energy which knocked back both Applejack and Pinkie Pie outside of the forest, the darkness then blocked the exit of the Everfree Forest, locking me in.

“NIGHT WOLF!” That’s the last thing I heard from Pinkie and Applejack before the barrier completed.

Everything became gloomy, I felt like someone was watching me… looking at every movement I did, I decided to run to the barrier and try to break it, I spawned the Buster Sword and I smashed it on the barrier with all the strength I had… The barrier remained intact, not even a single scratch.

“Wha… what is this?” I asked in a low voice.

“Oh, this is a barrier I made” said a known voice.

“Shadow!” I yelled “Why did you lock me here!?”

“Oh, yes, do you remember when I told you I couldn’t kill you just yet?” Shadow said.

“Yes…” I replied.

“Well… I realized that I can’t kill you, but I can assure that you won’t stand in my way” He explained.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“Oh, don’t worry” he continued “I won’t kill you.”

He opened his hand and he spawned an oxidized bone saw, it seemed very old, and in the other hand, he spawned a strange sword infused with darkness.

Shadow rushed at me, I managed to block his attack with my sword, but the attack was so strong that it knocked me back and I crashed with the barrier, my shoulder began to hurt again, I couldn’t move my arm after that.

“How do you like THAT!?” he said, next to that he kicked my chest so strongly that I coughed blood.

The pain I felt in the chest was burning, I couldn’t move.

“Oh, what’s the matter?” he asked “Is your chest hurting? Don’t worry, I’ll make you forget it!”

He kicked my face with the heel of his boot, it hurt a lot.

“Now then, I think it’s time for me to end with this” he said.

Then he grabbed me by the horn, my chest was still burning, I suffered a lot.

He made me lay on a tree.

“Ok, time to end this Night Wolf” he continued “I will make sure you never stand on my way again.”

He left his sword on the floor and he prepared his bone saw, I was not sure what was going to happen, but I knew it wouldn’t be nice, I wanted to escape, but I was too weak, I couldn’t move at all.

“You may be thinking ‘What are you going to do to me?’” He said “Well, I won’t cut your legs or your arms, nah that would be far too nice”

“Wh… what… do you… mean…” I said barely

“Oh, I’m glad you ask!” he said, excited “I will take every chance of you using magic against me”

I didn’t understand, until he grabbed my horn tightly.

“No” I said.

“Yes” said Shadow.

Shadow lowered the bone saw near my horn, I could feel the cold steel rubbing my horn, and when I least expected it, he began sawing, the pain I felt was agonizing, I screamed incredibly loud, I shrieked in pain, I tried to move, but Shadow used his dark energy to hold me to the tree.

“Haha, and we are not even half through!” Shadow said.

He kept sawing, the pain was stabbing, and I suffered like never before.

“Do you want to know a funny story about horns?” he asked “You see, horns have a very special set of nerves, they are directly connected to the brain, and this nerves are very similar to the ones on the genitals, making the long story short, having a horn is like having another dick.”

I wasn’t able to respond, the pain was unendurable, I wished to die in that moment, just to stop the pain.

“Let me tell ya a small story about myself” he said “The first time I got here, I fell near a place where changelings lived, It was filled with them, they locked me up fast, while I was locked, I discovered that I could copy any ability from videogame characters”

I struggled to get free while he was talking, he noticed me.

“Stop moving!” he yelled at me “Or I will chop it off completely!”

“Where was I?” he continued “Oh, yes, I discovered my ability, but the difference between you and me is that I can copy any ability for an unlimited amount of time and I could combine them all.”

I tried to escape again, but he sawed a little bit more and the agonizing pain came back.

“Which part of staying still you can’t understand!?” He said.

He held my head to the tree and used his darkness to hold me still.

“Now, let me continue” He said “The changelings wanted to try a new torture system they created, they used a bone saw to chop horns, and they chopped mine, it was painful, but I could get my revenge, after some days, I managed to disguise as Chrysalis and I locked her up on a secret basement”

He kept sawing while talking, my head was bleeding, the blood poured out from my forehead and it covered my eyes.

“I took her place you know,” he continued “and I used this torture system on the one who used it on me, I was supposed to be dead after that, no one can survive that, but I did, I had some darkness in my heart that made me hold on to my powers.”

He kept sawing, I could feel every movement he made, every second was like an hour to me, and hour of agonizing torture.

“Anyways, I made my captors suffer and after that, I took control and here I am.” he continued “You wanna know something funny? I enjoy chopping people’s horns off, I get this… pleasure, it’s like having sex, but better!”

Every second was horrible, I couldn’t believe what was happening, my horn was very close to fall off.

“Oh, it’s almost over, that’s bad, you know what?” he said “I will stop using the bone saw now and I will simply rip it off.”

He held my horn with his hand and began pulling, I thought the saw was painful, but compared to that, every time he pulled my horn, I felt a pain that was 1,000,000 times worse than the saw.

“It just… needs a little… Strength!!!” he said while pulling with a lot of strength.

I shrieked in pain, it was horrible, the horn wouldn’t come off and every time he pulled, blood came out of my forehead and it covered my face.

“Almost… There!” he said.

Suddenly the horn came out… it was the most painful moment of the torture, it felt like a trillion stabs to the balls, the good thing is that it didn’t last long, after some seconds I simply didn’t feel anything… I couldn’t hear anything and my sight was getting blurry, I could see Shadow, he was showing off my chopped horn in front of me, he said something, but I couldn’t hear him.

Then a great rainbow explosion occurred, the rainbow created was beautiful, and a strange figure punched Shadow and I could see he flew a long way and destroyed a couple of trees.

The strange figure came close to me and grabbed me, she was talking to me, but I couldn’t hear her, and then other figures rushed near me.

Everything was getting dark… I could barely see the figures, I just wanted to sleep, I was so tired, I wanted to rest, and then everything got dark.
