"Why isn't the fire department here yet?!" Applejack exclaimed, terrified.

"Ah don't know, but the flame's spreadin' awful quick!" Apple Bloom cautioned, jumping away from the flame.

"C'mon ya'll we gotta get outta here!" AJ said, leading her family to the door.

Suddenly, a plank of wood fell from the ceiling. Flames erupted in front of Bic Macintosh and Granny Smith, blocking their path.

"Granny! Mac!" AB and AJ screamed, tearing up.

"Just go, before the flames catch up!" Granny yelled.

"EEYUP!" Big Mac agreed.

Apple Bloom and Applejack ran, the fire chasing them like a bullet. They ran out the front door as fast as they could, flames right behind them. Apple Bloom's hoof got stuck behind one of the steps and she tripped, breaking her leg. She let out a howl of pain, alerting her sister. She tried to run back to the steps and help her sister up, but the flames caught up before she could reach her, engulfing the poor young filly. A long, bloodcurdling scream was all that came from the flames as Apple Bloom was burned alive.

"Apple Bloom! No! Nooo-o-o-ooooo!" Applejack sobbed.

When the flames got to her, she didn't try to run. She let them burn her as she sobbed, defeated. It was as if she couldn't feel anything.

All of a sudden, she woke up. She was too tired to open her eyes at that second. After a few minutes, she finally did. She gasped at what she saw. Everything was burned. Nothing remained but ashes. It wasn't a nightmare. It was all real. As Applejack began to raise her hooves to her face to sob, she froze. Her hooves were black, with nothing but an orange outline. Her whole body was like that. Even her eyes and cutie mark. She turned her head in the direction of the hallway; something had caught her eye. It was only for a split second that she saw the pony's face before a world of black surrounded her. It's skin was white. Yes, skin. Not fur, skin. It had no yes, just black, gaping sockets with blood streaming from them, but it seemed as if it was looking straight at her. It had no mouth, but rather stitches where the mouth should be, forming a chelsea grin.

Now, the pony was gone. Applejack was alone in a world of nothing. As she looked ahead, she saw nothing. Only black. It was as if she was blind. Fog streamed from her eyes and formed around her legs and up to her knees like the flames that had engulfed her home and her family. She heard the word "honesty" echo around her. She stood, unable to speak. She just stood there, staring into the eternal nothing.

She had nothing. She was nothing. She was soulless.
