The fire was everywhere, my sight was fading and I was starting to have a panic attack. I ran as fast as I can to the front door, wanting to get out of the blaze and hoping my family is okay, as I took the first few steps out of there I saw that no one else was outside. It was only me, I turned to go back into the inferno but the flames hit the gas line and parts of my house exploded. I sat in horror as everything started to crumble before my eyes, the home that I was raised in raised in flames, my family being burned alive, memories of joy and sadness disappearing before my eyes. The second floor came down and I saw my brother, dead from the lack of oxygen and being covered by a thick layer of flames. I stood there for what seemed like centuries, my eyes were filled with tears as I saw my whole family burn to a crisp, the flesh nearly being burned off them.
I woke up from the horrid dream I was having, the same dream I've had since the fire that took my house and loved ones away. I was sleeping in a inn near downtown Marehatten. I was traveling merchant, but in a big city like this nobody even bothered to look at me with the many things I sell. The law nearly confiscated most of my merchandise anyways, since I do sell things as knifes and swords and such, I at least thought I could sell some of the jewelry and rings that I have, but everyone is cheap and won't even bother to look at me. I got up out of my bed and went to take a shower, I was going to try again today to sell stuff but in an area where people do the things I do. Downtown is always the place to be, children and parents are always doing things there, and if it's one thing I learned from being a merchant for 10 years its that I have to be where the action is. I turned on the hot water and prepared my shower, getting soaked up and cleaned up. After the shower I wiped the fog off my mirror to style my hair and saw that someone left a note on my bed, I know I didn't leave it there I thought and went to my bed to read it.
Troy Flareheart, you may not know who I am, but I know who you are and what has happened to you. I have all the answers to your questions, but you first need to do a favor for me. Under this note is a ticket to a small town named Ponyville. When you get there there will be a woman waiting there for you asking random people "Who has seen the one called 'the light' answer by saying I am the light and she'll give you a briefing on what to do. And remember Troy, I know where you are at all times, you don't want to ignore me. That would be a bad thing to do.
L.D.
"L.D.?" I said out loud. I don't know anybody who had the initials L.D. but this note seemed important, I looked at where the note was and there was a ticket to Ponyville. I figured to take the free ride and book it out of here, after grabbing a quick breakfast I left the inn and left for the station. At the station I sat and waited for my train, I was alone but still felt like someone was watching me. I'd be fine if I had some sort of weapon with me, but the law has an issue with someone trying to sell a sword to a 10 year old. Some people.
