Dawn of the Dark Titan: a New Age

Once upon a time, there lived a heroic purple dragon called Spyro, a rather mean dragon called Cynder and an unpleasant dragon called Malefor. When Spyro had found the place he came from, the Dragon Temple, he had embarked in a mission, overcoming many perils to save the Guardians and finaly save Cynder from Malefor's control.

Malefor was nothing if not persitent, and surprising nobody his armies once again rose for round two. Spyro went again to stop Malefor, defeating the Ape King and destroying the Well of Souls, what he tought to be his last way back. In the destruction, he protected himself and Cynder by encasing themself in a crystal, only to enter a three year slumber.

Spyro and Cynder woken up from their crystal shortly before the end of the world. Malefor, now being back in their world, was going to finish his destiny. Our hero, now joined by Cynder, once again stood in his way, and this showdown ended as bad for Malefor.

Many years have passed, and peace reigns in Spiral Mountain Avalar. So what became of the bear, the bird and the witch the purple, the black and the evil dragons?

"No no no! Ah, Ignitus, you had to read that stupid story, didn't you?"

"It wasn't stupid at all, dear Ignitus. It's one of my favorites!"

The Chronicler turned, only to find in his back a draconequus "friend".

"Discord..."

"Seems like you're writing our story. Without ME!" Discord went and made a drama pose."I'm the most important character in it!"

Ignitus sighed, "You're more of a secondary character."

"WHAT!?" Rarity's red couch appeared behind him, only for him to fall on it. "You broke my heart!"

"Now, if you're here, what about stopping your actor talents and giving me a helping hand with this story?"

"Of course? What doesn't Discord does for his friends?"

"Of course..." Ignitus coughed "Now, let's start. Once upon a time..."

In a small pony village from the kingdom of Equestria from the planet Equis, called Ponyville, starts our story. A story that would save the universe...

Our story begins with an alicorn called Twilight Sparkle. Freshly crowned as the Princess of Magic...

Hey, hey, hey! You aren't just going to tell her whole story, aren't you? Everyone knows Twilight!

Ok, ok! Continuing, our princess was having a normal morning: she woken up, eat breakfast etc. Until she received her mail...

"Twilight!" called Spike, her loyal assitant.  "Letter from the princess!"

"A letter? Let's see..." The scroll was surrounded by Twilight's purple magic as she levitated it and unrolled it, allowing her to read...

...only to gasp in shock.

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

I must give you grave news. A protection field of Equis, knows as the Mageosphere, was destroyed.

Mageospheres are fields of pure, powerfull magic that restricts the ability to enter or exit our atmosphere of any object or creature, even by means of teleportation. That means we are exposed to danger as any hostile creature from the neighbor planets can come here.

That brings me to my second point: Analyzing the 2 neighbor planets, Avalar and Azeroth, it only makes the situation worse. It seems that Azeroth's population is divided in two factions in the longest war you ever seen. On the other hoof, Avalar is a world that was nearly destroyed by one of the world's dominating race, dragons. It seems like another young dragon stopped it, turning Avalar in a skyland-like place. These dragons are full of surprises and we wouldn't like them as our enemies.

I'll have you start studying about Avalar from the book I sent you. It is writted by your favorite author Starswirl the Bearded.

P.S.: Try not to stir panic in the population. Tell only the girls and Spike.

"Spike... Did you also seen a book?" Twilight was still shocked. Ever-lasting wars? Dragons that can destroy worlds and dragons that can repair them?

"Oh yeah, here it is Twilight. Wait a minute..." Spike gave the book's title a small view " "Starswirl's guide about Avalar dragons"? In Celestia's name, Twilight. One, calm down. You look like you've seen a ghost. Two, why always the good books go to you? Seriously, I want that book too!"

"Spike... Come here."

Pulling two chairs so she and Spike can read, she levitated the book on the lectern and started telling him about the book:

"The only thing I know about Avalar dragons is that they are soo powerfull that some can destroy worlds or repair them. Also, they may visit us soon."

Twilight's magic enveloped the book's pages, turning them one by one until she found an intresting page.

"Aha! Look! The book says the dragons are very intelligent and peacefull beings."

Spike pointed out to one paragraph, saying:

"Look, prophecies!"

"Spike... You know that I don't believe in prophecies..."

"But, look!" Spike started to read "Every 10 years there is an year called Year of the Dragon in which the Dragon Temple is filled with dragon eggs. In each there is a chance of a purple dragon egg to appear. Purple dragons are mythological creatures that have massive amounts of power."

"Well, Spike, I must now read all this book and report all the findings to the Princess. Soo, I would apreciate if you were quiet as long I'll be researching."

"Yes, Twilight."

"Now, let's see... Ugh, uh!"

Suddenly, the book started to glow as something that looked like a rift, dragging things towards them. The light grew in intensity, blinding Spike and Twilight. Through the rift firstly came dirt, then some leaves, a dragonfly. Then came something they weren't expecting...

Two dragons were thrown through the rift into the library's bookshelves.

Meanwhile, in Canterlot

Celestia sat at her balcony, looking over just a small part of Equestria. She was proud of this, she was proud that, togheter with the rest of the princesses, she could mantain this kingdom, she could give her little ponies their good lifes. Yet there is also fear. Fear that, now that the Mageosphere is destroyed, other creatures would destroy everything she built. That they would mess up with her harmonical kingdom.

And she wouldn't lose Equestria without a war.

...Only for her train of tought to be ended by her sister.

"Tia! Look at Sparkle's library!"

Celestia used her huge telescope and rotated it to Twilight's place, only to see a huge glowing light coming from it.

She opened the room to the hall and started searching for her guards.

"Chief Winged Shield, I want captain Shining Armor here right now! Tell him it's about his sister."

The pegasus ran right away into the castle's corridors as the Princess closed the door to her chamber.

"This is not something good, Luna... I fear for the worst..."

"Do you know atleast what is the source?"

Celestia's yellow magic engulfed a certain book from her bookcases and levitated it in the front of her sister.

"Avalar dragons? Wasn't that world destroyed?" Luna asked, somewhat confused.

"No, something stopped that from happening. And I think we'll meet one of these dragons soon..."

Their conversation was interrupted by Shining Armor as he entered the room.

"Princess... What happened to Twilight?"

Celestia's only reaction was pointing him her telescope. Shining Armor puted his right eye in front of the telescope and he gasped in shock at the sight.

"Get my chariot and 2 groups of elite Solar Guards ready. I would  like if we departed in 15 minutes. Also announce Discord I may summon him if things aren't going too well." Celestia told him, having as a response him nodding as he left the room.

"You know, I heard you myself Celi."

A certain draconequus apeared from a "hole" made in the roof.

"Discord, it's not really the time..." Celestia wanted to say "jokes", but she was cutted short by Discord.

"For my help? Hmphm! I only wanted to offer you my help as I investigated faster what happened there."

"Thou would do that for us?" Luna said, talking in her mixed old and new language.

"One, you're making progress, Luna. Two, of course I would do that for you and my "friend" Twilight. I was reformed, remember?"

"We would like to thank you if you did that, Discord."

"Well, then I must get going!" Were Discord's last words before he snapped and vanished.

The Golden Oak library was ruined. The bookshelves and the books were covered with dirt, earth and gravel. The force of the rift threw some books out of their bookshelves. But that was just the minor problem...

In one corner of the library, Twilight was regaining after losing her balance due to the rift, while Spike was thrown by it's force into a wall. While on the opposite corner laid on the floor two dragons, a purple one and a dark-purpleish one. The purple one seemed to be unconscious, while the other one looked like it was waking up, shocking Twilight a bit. The unicorn went near her assistant, whispering:

"Spike! Wake up!"

"Uhmm... What happened?" Said Spike in a somewhat sleepy tone.

"Twilight, look at the library! It's ruined!"

"That is not the worst problem..." Twilight was pointing him the two dragons. "Look, one is waking."

The darker dragon (That looked like a female dragoness) stood in her legs trying not to lose her balance again.

Twilight sighed, going forward to meet her "guest". 'Diplomacy is always your first solution.' was her only tought.

"Hello?" Said the dragoness, a bit confused.

"Hey... My name is Twilight Sparkle..."

"Princess Twilight Sparkle!"

Twilight turned, only to see her "favorite" draconequus.

"Come on, Twilight. You're a princess now! Why don't you use your title and all? There are soooo many ponies that would like your fate!"

"Discord! I'm trying some diplomacy here, something you like ruining!" Twilight turned to the dragoness

"Sorry about my friend, he is a very strange person. What is your name?"

"Cynder". She finnaly got back on her feet. She had one tought: "What is this place full of talking mini-horses and hybrid creatures?!"

"Come. Maybe you want to eat something, or atleast drink a tea. What do you usually eat?"

Cynder was unsure what to answer. "She looks like a vegetarian. I should better not tell her, or she may see me as a threat"

"Some tea would help me, thank you." Cynder told her, poorly evading her question.

"Tea? In this mess? Oh please!" Discord snapped his claws and all the earth and gravel was gone. Then, a small bottle appeared in the middle of a table. On it was a picture of Discord, writing "Mr. Discord. Clean everything with a bit of chaos."

Twilight giggled and even Cynder was amused of the draconesquus. Twilight invited both of them in the kitchen.
