Count To Ten: World Short Of A Rainbow
Rainbow Dash woke up. She wiped her eyes and blinks a few times before studying her surroundings. She was in her room. She sighed in relief and made her way to her bathroom. As she walked she briefly studied her Wonderbolts decor. There were posters, trophies, and other various knick knacks. She reached the bathroom and opened the cloud door. She made her way in and got ready for the day. Hopped in the shower, brush her teeth, comb her mane, use the bathroom and due her daily warm ups in the livingroom before making her way out of the cloud house she called home.
She zoomed towards the Everfree Forest to do some stunts. She'd do her stunts in the forest because she would end up hurting herself and others. Therefore, she would only hurt herself through a series of trial and error.
'Today I think I should practice dodging' she thought as she began to fly close to the ground, maybe even a little to close.
She finally reached the forest as she boosted her speed, estimated to around eighty miles per hour, which is pretty fast for the average pegasus. As she sped up she closed her eyes and everything felt like it was in slow motion, until she opened her eyes, shocked at was she saw, three feet below her.
"Fluttershy?!" She said before crashing into a tree rendering her unconscious.
Rainbow Dash blinked a few times, she felt some sort of warm liquid run down her mane and on her face. She stood up, before stumbling back, coughing up blood. She studied her surroundings. She was still in the forest but it was the middle of the night. She stood up once more, this time succeeding at gaining her balance. She locked her eyes on Fluttershy who was laying on the ground where she saw her, not moving.
"F-Fluttershy?" She called out.
"Fluttershy?!" She called out once more trying to take off to get to her faster but failed. As her wing perked up, it was followed by an unsettling cracking noise and a shot of pain that surged through the wing.
She trotted to Fluttershy, calling her name weakly as she came closer and closer to her best friend. She found her friend in a pool of her own blood, lifeless.
"No, No, Flutters, wake up!" She cried pick her up.
She continued her attempts at getting her friend's eyes open but they were futile. She put her down and laid her head on Fluttershy's chest.
"I never even got to tell you." Rainbow sobbed, voice cracking.
She remained in that position for the rest of the night before drifting to sleep.

Rainbow awoke to find that she wasn't with Fluttershy anymore. She was in Ponyville's town square. She blinked a few times before realizing Ponyville was covered in a thick layer of fog, making it to where she could only see ten feet in front of her face. She stood up expecting a shot of pain through her wing and her concussion but received no such thing. In fact, she wasn't even covered in blood anymore, it's almost like someone cleaned and patched her up then throwing her in the middle of the street and walked away. But this was different the wounds were gone!
She was so baffled by her immediate healing that she'd almost forgot about Fluttershy. She bolted towards the Everfree Forest. She never ran so fast in her life, because she was usually flying, of course. She reached the towns edge before feeling weak, she ignored it however since her friend was in possible danger. She began to notice that the further she ran away from the town the weaker she became until finally she collapsed. She panted and turned back.
"Maybe...she's...at....her cottage..." She panted walking through the town.
As she walked she noticed that it was dawn but nopony was out. She walked through the market to receive the same results.
"Where the hay is everypony?" She muttered.
She reached Fluttershy's cottage and knocked on the door. As she waited for an answer she noticed that not a single animal was around. No birds, rabbits, or any other animal anywhere! She opened the door, and peered inside. The lights were on, compared to the other houses in town which had their lights off. She noticed a tiptoed in, just in case someone else was in her cabin.
"Fluttershy?" She called out, sticking close to the wall so she could ambush whoever came out.
A yellow mare peered out and noticed Rainbow Dash, her eyes widened along with her smile.
"RAINBOW DASH!" She squealed running over and hugging the cyan mare tightly.
"Fluttershy! You're not dead!" Rainbow said, surprised.
Fluttershy folded her ears and her expression changed from ecstatic to depressed.
"Rainbow Dash, sit down, We need to talk." She said, solemnly.
"About what?" Rainbow asked, making her way to the couch.
"About how we died." Fluttershy answered looking away.
Rainbow Dash was shocked.
'What does she mean 'how we died'?' She thought.
Fluttershy brought a two cups of tea in along with some oatmeal cookies. She sat them down and grabbed one of the cups before she began.
"I came here confused, I died but I was walking around in Ponyville. I had no idea what to do until he told me what happened and the guidelines of this place. Apparently once you die, you go to your own personal domain, usually your happy place and you will be alone, unless you die near someone else, then you're sucked into their domain."
Rainbow Dash leaned in closer, intrigued and skeptical at the same time.
"He said if you try to leave, all the strength will be drained from your spirit and you will perish, and will spend an eternity in his world.-"
'That explains why I felt weak when I tried to go to the Everfree Forest' Rainbow Thought
"There is no way out, sadly, or at least I think there isn't" She explained, letting out a small sigh.
"So, let me get this straight, we're dead and we have no way out of this?" Rainbow Dash asked in disbelief.
"Ding, ding, ding, you are correct." A male voice sounded from behind Rainbow Dash, causing her to jump out of her seat.
A white stallion in a black cloak stood before them.
