Dr. Whooves knows that soon there was a time where he had to leave Derpy in Ponyville , and he would continue on with his adventures. He had grown an attatchment to the grey cross eyed mare. He knows what he has left to do, before his departure. He begins to write his last known words to the mare, the mare that he loved.

A Final Love Letter

Dear Derpy,

I know you must be confused on why you didn't see me this morning that you found this letter. Why was there a letter for you from me? A stallion that didn't have a damn clue what this place was, and why his TARDIS brought him here? Why he was sent to this world of magical talking ponies on which he had no clue even existed?! Yeah, that's me, I'm writing a letter to you because, the Tardis has called me to continue on my journeys as the last time lord; I was devastated when I found out about it. I knew that I was leaving you and the world that I had just learned about behind.

You know Derpy why I write this to you? It was too late in the night that you called, the night that Princess Luna brought, and you looked so peaceful in your slumber. I couldn't bother you; so in the place of the whole thing. Here I am writing to you my last known words in your life, a final letter you can call it that.

Ever since I first came to Ponyville, I was clueless about this wondrous world that you called home. I was completely clueless about this world, I bet you knew that. Anyways, the day that we met was amazing, I know I can go back in time to see it again, but it would only bring me heart break. I knew that for sure, and I only hope that you knew that all I want to do is avoid those situations, goodbyes are hard.

That day that you took me under your wing, that's what you called it, was most easily the best day of my life. You became my companion that day, you and I traveled through time together, and solved so many things out that I probably could have done myself, but two minds that think together is better than one. You and I were such a great team, we connected we worked together, we were a pair. Without you, I would be nothing. I wouldn't even exist here in this world, I wouldn't have even stayed as long as I had.

We started a family, two amazing daughters, one named Dinky and the other named Sparkler. They both are amazing, something I wish I could have with me in the TARDIS but, it wouldn't be easy to do that. We raised them together as one; they both became amazing and intelligent fillies in your world. It always made me proud when they both came home with something good to say. And I know it did for you too, brightened your day, even after those damn ponies that would make fun of you and do some nasty things to you. I wish that I had stood up to those ponies, but I knew that either you could of handled it, or I would alter the universe if I said something. But when you came home from your mail pony job all upset, I would try my best to make you emails again, like you had always done before the two little fillies came into our life.

I always thought it was my fault that when I came I had made your life miserable, but whenever I did mention it, you would always say that it wasn't my fault, and I shouldn't blame myself for your problems. But I loved you and it always made me happy when you smiled. Now I wish I could see that again. I really miss seeing you smile; I'll miss seeing it even more when I leave you and the other two behind.

Sparkler, ever since you were born into our family, the first one born, I always knew that you were going to do something grand for the pony's lives here in Equestria. You are still trying to figure that out kind of, but you should know, because I'm not there to help you solve every little problem with you anymore because of this, doesn't mean that I won't always be thee for you. I knelt you can figure problems out for yourself, you don't always need my help for every little thing. Ever since you were a young filly, that's what your mother called it, you always knew how to solve a problem before your mother or I could figure it out. That's how I knew that you were going to outsmart every pony with all that you knew, even things in the future, because of me. You are a smart and beautiful mare, with nothing there to stand in your way. Thank you for being the first little filly that I got to teach all the things that I had learned from your mother. It kind of helped me to try and talk to a pony, and learn like a pony. Thank you Sparkler.

Dinky, the youngest little filly that was mine. The day that you were born was like another one of those days that I wished had never ended. You looked so much like your mother, taking her beautiful looks and everything, well with the exception of he crossed eyes, which I always thought was what made your mother unique. Anyways, getting back to you Dinky, you don't have your cutie mark yet, yes I finally learned that, even though you haven't found your destiny, I know that your special talent would also be something grand, something that would contribute to the daily lives of a pony. You and your sister would know more about it than I would.

My letter is getting really long and I can't stay any longer, the TARDIS will leave without me, and take everything that I had packed with it. The drawing Dinky had done for me on Stallions day, and the first thing that you have me Derpy. Yes the muffin you baked for me. I know it's probably really bad by now, but that was the first thing I had received from you that made me smile. Thank you for that Derpy, so much.

Time has been cut short, I have to end it now whole I can; Derpy, Sparkler, and Dinky, all three of you are all amazing mares with nothing standing in your ways. All I have to say is to keep going for what you dream, and soon it'll come true. Don't forget about me, as I'll try and not forget about you.

Goodbye my sweet Derpy and family. Thanks for everything.

Dr. Whooves

Dr. Whooves signed his letter, knowing that this was the last thing he could do to say goodbye to his life in Ponyville. He as happy with his life here, but he was being called to what was his life before he met the grey cross eyed Pegasus mare named Derpy.

He folded the letter perfectly, just as Derpy had taught him many years before this. Putting it on the nightstand of the grey mare, he trotted over to the TARDIS.

Looking back at the homes hallway where each of the ponies that he loved slept, Dr. Whooves smiled, he knew that he wouldn't see them again, but he knew that they wouldn't forget him at all. They were his family.

"Thank you again Derpy for everything that you have done for my life, my sweet mare. Hope you have a great life, as I had always hoped for you. Keep the girls happy, and safe, and smart as always." Dr. Whooves said to himself.

Stepping into the TARDIS, Dr. Whooves flipped the switches, leaving the pony world that he had learned from, the world that he called home for a while. He had to go, a time lord's work wasn't finished until he was killed.

That very morning, Derpy rose from her bed and noticed that a particular light brown earth pony was missing. Desperately trying to fi d the stallion, she didn't even notice the letter on her nightstand. Not until Dinky found it and handed it to her.

"Mama, maybe this says where Daddy has gone." Dinky informed.

"Can you read it for me? I still can't read very well." Derpy asked.

Dinky nodded, opened the letter that was left on the nightstand, and began to read.
