With a great sigh of boredom, the chimera lay restlessly atop the bed he made drifting amongst the universes. The chimera had a very cat-like body, like a lion or a tiger, being of a dark blue. From the back of his neck all the way down to the tip of his tail were the black stripes of a tiger, and the head of the chimera was like a cat’s, with pointed ears that bore white fur within, and a muzzle like a theropod’s or a dragon’s, elongated with a curved fang resting just in front of the lower jaw, and having tufts of fur circling the base of his jaws. His eyes were bright yellow with red pupils, with bushy white eyebrows resting above them. From the tip of his snout rested a single horn, curving backwards like a rhino’s, but rather small. From the top of his head were a series of bright green tall spines that were curved(think pretty much the same as Greed Spike’s head spines), but as the spines travelled down the chimera’s back, they changed to become three rows of jagged, pointed spines that were vaguely maple leaf-shaped. His arms were those of a cat’s, specifically a lion’s, and had tufts of white fur covering the elbows. His underbelly was like a crocodile’s, but being bright yellow, and his legs were like a theropod’s, long and reptilian and ending in three curved talons on each foot. His tail was that of a dragons, ending in the classical triangular spade.
Kiryu sighed in boredom as he flopped forward onto his stomach, looking around at the universes that he circled around. “So bored,” Kiryu said, with a voice deep and powerful, but yet with the hint of insanity that bordered around his words. “Being omnipotent is fun and all, but there’s no place for me to do shit.” And as he spoke, his mind was always at work, coming up with all sorts of creatures that were immediately created in whatever universe or multiverse he made up, such things happening every second and almost always at work. Such a thing could occur with a mind like that of a chaos god. Kiryu looked down at his paws, flexing them and watching his claws protract and retract. “What to do, what to do…” Kiryu pondered. He was bored. Bored as bored could be. So bored that you couldn’t even describe it. Kiryu was omnipotent. He had control over everything. He decided how everything should go or what should live, or any of those sorts. And yet he had grown bored of it. Not his omnipotence, of course not, but rather, the excitement of traversing these universes. He wanted some fun. He wanted to start some beautiful chaos. He needed to do something. But what?
“A-ha!” Kiryu said suddenly, sitting up like a lion as he held up a finger in brilliance. “I know what to do! I’ll take a cruise through my favorite show ever!” Kiryu then suddenly brought his paw to his chin as he rethought about it. “Nonono, that’s Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. That show doesn’t need my help. Oh, I got it! I’ll go to my SECOND favorite show ever! Yeah, that’s brilliant!” And just like that, Kiryu was in the right universe, ready to play out some glorious chaos.
Kiryu suddenly reappeared in Ponyville, the colorful town surrounding the chimera as he beamed with glee, completely ignorant of some of the resident ponies looking at him in shock and confusion, wondering just how he appeared, what he was, and where he came from. Kiryu lifted up his arm, looking at a wrist watch that was suddenly on his wrist as he checked the time. “Eeyup,” Kiryu said. “This is the first episode of season 1, around the time where Twilight Sparkle and Spike arrive in Ponyville.” Kiryu then looked up, and sure enough, the carriage carrying the two protagonists arrived, Twilight and Spike hopping out as the carriage took off back to Canterlot. Kiryu lay back in midair as he contemplated his next move. He knew what would happen, and he knew how to change it.
Twilight had just tried to introduce herself to Pinkie Pie, only for the earth pony to gasp in amazement at her and run off, leaving Twilight and Spike wondering what had just happened. “Well that was interesting, alright,” Twilight said as Spike sighed in annoyance.
Kiryu then popped out from a sewer hole, grinning as a horde of alligators climbed out and ran into the town. “Good morning, duo!” Kiryu said as he jumped out of the sewer, bowing forward before the understandably shocked Twilight and Spike.
“Wha-I-Huh?!” Was all Twilight could say in her shock.
“Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Kiryu, God of Chaos and Disorder. I just noticed your arrival and thought I might welcome you here.”
“Um, thanks, I guess?” Twilight said. “I’m Twilight Sparkle, and this is my assistant Spike.”
Kiryu’s eyes stretched forward at Spike until his eyes were just inches away from the dragon’s own, Spike jumping back at this.
“Dude, that’s creepy,” Spike said, but Kiryu paid no attention as he slid forward, looking down upon Spike with a grin.
“Well if it isn’t Spyrozilla. Y’know, you really oughtta start working out more. You need the muscles.”
“Okay, then,” Twilight said nervously. “We really need to go to Sweet Apple Acres. We’re here to make sure everything’s ready for the Summer Sun Celebration.”
“Let me take you there,” Kiryu said, before suddenly Twilight and Spike found themselves in a car driven by Kiryu, the chimera smashing through everything in sight and wildly swerving around.
“Don’t you know how to drive this thing?!” Twilight asked.
“Drive what?” Kiryu asked as he was hanging out the window like a ragdoll.
The car swerved around like a leopard on cocaine as it sped to Sweet Apple Acres with a “Yatatatata Yatatatata!” before suddenly flipping through the air, slamming into a big ass boulder and exploding, instantly killing Twilight and Spike.
Just kidding.
“Good thing that wasn’t you!” Kiryu said as he pushed Twilight and Spike along in a shopping cart.
“What was the point of bringing us here like this again?” Twilight asked in annoyance as she and Spike got out from the cart before Kiryu threw it away, the cart blowing up in the distance.
“No reason, just felt like it,” Kiryu said with a shrug as the trio entered Sweet Apple Acres.
“Summer Sun Celebration official overseer's checklist,” Spike said as he looked over the checklist he held. “Number one, banquet preparations: Sweet Apple Acres.”
There came a “Yeehaw!” and Applejack came galloping onto the scene, approaching a nearby tree and bucking it hard, causing a multitude of apples to fall into the buckets lined around its trunk.
Twilight sighed as she started to walk to Applejack. “Let's get this over with...” Kiryu hung back as he contemplated the next course of action with a smile. “Good afternoon,” Twilight said as she introduced herself to Applejack. “My name is Twilight Sparkle-“ Twilight was cut off as Applejack immediately started shaking hooves with her.
“Well howdy doo, miss Twilight!” Applejack said gleefully. “A pleasure makin’ your acquaintance. Ah’m Applejack. We here at Sweet Apple Acres should do like makin’ new friends!”
“Friends? Actually I-“
“So what can Ah do for yah?” Applejack interrupted as she released Twilight’s hoof, Twilight finding herself unable to control her hoof as it continued to swing up and down wielding Mario’s hammer and knocking away barrels being flung by Donkey Kong. Spike quickly caught Twilight’s hoof, causing the hammer to fly away and jackhammer its way into the ground.
Applejack then took notice of Kiryu, the chimera leaning against a tree whilst chewing a bone. “And who might you be?” Applejack asked.
“G’day, mate!” Kiryu spoke, suddenly donning an Australian accent. “Kiryu’s the name! And Uka Uka and Doctor Cortex gave me orders to bring the crystals to them during the Ice Ages! So gimme the goods and shove off, or I’ll roast yas!”
“…Ah’m sorry, what?”
“Hah, playing with ya. Name’s Kiryu, God of Chaos and Disorder. Figured I should drop by here with Twilight and Spyrozilla.”
“Uh,” Spike said. “My name’s Spike.”
“Whatevah,” Kiryu said with a wave of his paw and a roll of his eyes.
Twilight awkwardly cleared her throat and spoke up. “Well, I am in fact here to supervise preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration. And you're in charge of the food?” Applejack smiled at this as she faced Twilight.
“We sure as sugar are! Would you care to sample some?”
“Well, as long as it doesn’t take too long…” Twilight once again didn’t get the chance to finish her sentence as Applejack started ringing a triangle.
“Soup's on, everypony!” Applejack called, before a stampede of all the different Apple family members came rushing in, Twilight and Spike finding themselves being placed before a table whilst Kiryu lay atop a nearby tree, watching the scene unfold with interest.
“Now,” Applejack said as she stood beside Twilight and Spike. “Why don't Ah introduce y'all to the Apple family?”
“Thanks,” Twilight started to say. “But I really need to hurry-“
Applejack didn’t listen as she started introducing her family members. “This here's Apple Fritter. Apple Bumpkin. Red Gala. Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche, Apple Cinnamon Crisp...” Applejack paused momentarily to take a deep breath, before she continued. “Big McIntosh, Apple Bloom and Granny Smith. Up'n'attem, Granny Smith, we got guests.” Granny Smith awoke from her sleep with a start, before she stood up from her chair.
“Wha..? Soup's on? I'm up, here I come, ahm comin'...”
“Why Ah’d say you’re already part of the family!” Applejack said, before Twilight backed away nervously.
“Okay, well, I can see the food situation is handled, so we'll be on our way.” She was about to leave, but Applebloom stopped her:
“Aren't you gonna stay for brunch?” Twilight hesitated momentarily, before she continued speaking:
“Sorry, but we have an awful lot to do...”
“Come now, Twilight,” Kiryu said, appearing beside her wearing a butler’s outfit. “They’re giving you an offer you can’t refuse.”
Twilight looked up helplessly at the chimera, before she sighed. “...fine.”
There came a cheering from the Apple family as they encouraged Twilight and Spike to try what they had to offer. Kiryu grinned before he looked at the screen.
“Oh I’m gonna have fun with this.”
