Difference is Magic and so is the Movies.
So once upon a time in the magical land of Equestria. There was a young colt named Butterflight. He was a yellow male pegasus pony with a blue mane and wears glasses. he also has tufts on his hooves and a white spot on his forehead. Butterflight is no ordinary pony. He is diagnoised with Asperger's syndrome. A mild form of autism.
Because of this and his blank flank, everypony picked on him because of his obsessions. They called him weird and stupid in school. He felt so sad and he wanted to just simply run away most of the time. He is sick with ponies picking on him for not having a cutie mark or being normal.
Its was show and tell at school and Butterflight told that class that he wanted to be a filmmaker. Everyone just laughed at him because they feel he was too stupid. Then one girl said she wanted to be a mailmare when she grew up. All of the mean ponies laughed at her because of she was crossed-eyed.
Meanwhile after school. Butterflight felt even more sad. He decided to run away to the park that day. Until he met a very special filly. She was a gray crossed eyed Pegasus with a blonde mane. "Hello there." she said. My name is "Derpy Hooves."
"Derpy Hooves." Butterflight said. "Are you the one that wanted to be a mailmare."
"Yes I do!" Derpy Replied.
“What's you name?” Derpy then asked.
“Butterflight.” replied Butterflight.
"So why are you crossed eyed then." Asked Butterflight.
Derpy hooves was embarrsed by that question. But she replied "I...Have...Strabismus"
"I have Aspergers syndrome." Butterflight replied.
"Asparagus Syndrome?" Derpy Responded.
Butterflight actually laughed a little bit at Derpy's Response. But in order to be a little serious. Butterflight replied "Its a developmental disability and its actually called Asperger's Syndrome."
Derpy then replied "I see. Well that's okay. It's perfectly okay to be different."
Butterflight asked "really? Its okay to be different."
"Yes it is!" Derpy said. "If you would like. I'll be your best friend forever."
Butterflight agreed to become Derpy's friend.
And that day. Butterflight and Derpy Hooves became best friends.
They also started a club together. It was known as “The Difference Club”. The Difference Club was a club for ponies who don't fit in. Even if they are a blank flank or a crossed-eyed pony. Generations later. It will become the inspiration for the “Cutie Mark Cursaders”.
So the next day. They decided to go back to school. The school is getting prepared for a talent show for all of ponyville. So Derpy and Butterflight decided to think of an act. The act was going to be something that was amazing. So then, Butterflight decided to make an amazing film.
"I got it." Butterflight said. "Lets make a movie."
The only problem was. Derpy didn't know how to act.
So Butterflight decided to teach her how to act. So Butterflight took Derpy Hooves to the movies. They watched movies there for hours until Butterflight losed a lot of his allowance.
So now they then need to think about the plot for the amazing. So they thought up a great plot. "How about a Sci-Fi movie." Butterflight said.
"What's Sci-Fi?" Derpy asked.
Butterflight wanted to explain Sci-Fi to Derpy. But he decided to say a few words instead...
"Spaceships, aliens, rayguns, planets, outerspace, Robots." Butterflight told Derpy.
"Ohhh! That sounds like fun." Derpy responded.
But there was one big problem. They didn't have enough money...
Butterflight wondered how to get enough money. So Derpy Hooves came up with a wonderful idea.
"How about a lemonade stand?"
"I agree!" Butterflight said.
So they decided to start a lemonade stand to raise money. The lemonade stand was need to make enough money for the production they were working. At first it didn't sell a single drop. But later on it was so popular they made tons of money. Enough money to film the movie before the talent show.
So then they started production. But the deadline was coming too fast. They were very concern about making the film. They didn't had enough time and money. So the rushed as much as they could without losing any type of quality. So they made it to at least a 15 minute film.
It was a short film.
“But this isn't 2 hours?” Derpy said.
“We don't need two hours.” Butterflight replied.
So they edited it quickly as they can and then they submitted it to the talent show. Derpy got into a mess and almost messed up the footage. So the biggest concern was if Derpy destroyed any footage.
At the talent show. Everypony was there. Even big names in Ponywood such as Trotty Trotberg were there to see the show. That's because they heard about a short Sci-Fi film was screening there. The movie started rolling.
The theater got dark. The title credit rolled.
"In a galaxy far far away lived two ponies who are stranded on a spaceship. There names were Butterflight and Derpy."
The film then started with the spaceship they were in. "Captain. We have a problem." Butterflight said.
"Uh yes we do. We ran out of muffins." Derpy said.
So then they revealled the greatest villain of all..an evil space muffin planing on destroying the planet of equestria.
So then the mane character thought up a plan. They fought against the evil space muffin. Until the very end. The movie ended with the defeat of the space muffin. The films credits rolled and the movie was over.
Everyone was amazed at Butterflight's and Derpy's movie. The audiences cheered and clapped there hooves.
Meanwhile. Some amazing happened...
“Butterflight! Something is appearing on you. Butterflight looked back and all of sudden. A cutie mark appeared. It was a film clapper.
“My cutie mark.' Butterflight said. “This is so awesome.”
The audiences cheered after hearing the news. Meanwhile. The Judge were think very very hard. They decided to give the trophy to Butterflight and Derpy.
It was an amazing day for Butterflight and Derpy. Certainly an amazing day. The students loved the film and promised not to bully anyone again.
When Butterflight grew up. He was still friends with Derpy. He also made motion pictures as well. Many of them were favorites. Butterflight was even offered to make a Daring Do Film as well.
So Butterflight lived a happy life. But always remembered the Joys of friendship.
