TwoTone: One mind. Two ponies.
It was a beautiful night, once again, in Equestria. The moon was up high, glowing bright as ever, the stars glistening in the dark sky, twinkling like thousands of diamonds. This story begins with a shorter than average grey suited earth pony, briskly trotting down a road that he had no idea where it led to. As he kept an eye on the path, he also watched as the trees and lively wild life slowly became less prominent until it eventually stopped. A little disappointed, he turned his head back to catch one final glimpse of the fascinating forest he had just left behind. Pushing on in his travels he catches sight of a small town, looking vaguely familiar. He stops and closes his eyes, trying desperately to remember where he has seen this town before, but to no avail. Growling at his lack of memory, he returns to his advancement towards the town. Upon arrival he notices that nopony is out and about, tending to nightly activities. "Where is everypony?" He tilts his head to a full ninety degree, his face full of confusion. Slowly walking his way to the center of town, he takes in all the signs and colors of the buildings, memorizing them for later. Making his way over to an oddly shaped building, the structure was symmetrical, as all buildings are. But this one...This one is different he thought. Cautiously making his way over to the front door, his ear twitches as he hears a noise. Odd, it almost sounded like a- his though, cut off by the sound resonating from the upper floor. He takes a quick and quite baffled step back, awaiting the sound for a third time, wanting to confirm what it was, first of all. To him, time slowed down to a near stop, his breathing silenced, muscles tensing, prepared for anything. The sound, this time louder than before, came from the building. TwoTone's ears dropped backwards and his face becoming overwhelmed with awkwardness. Taking a few moments to finalize it.
"A moan...? Oohkay then. Leaving now." He said to himself, taking a few steps back before spinning around and trotting quietly away. As his mind is filled with questions, he bumps into a little filly.
"Oh! So sorry little one." He apologises and focuses on her. To his surprise, she is floating in spite of being an earthpony.
"That's okay mister." She giggles joyfully as she begins floating away in the caring embrace of an unexpected blue magical aura. Watching as the filly is lifted to the sky. He notices many other little fillies and colts having the same fate, whisked away past the cloud cover. Never to be seen again...? He thinks for a second before shrugging it off and continuing around the town square. Looking around at all the colorful buildings he yawns, tired from his long travels. Taking cover under a nearby tree, he sits on his haunches, closing his eyes and near instantly falling into a deep slumber.
Pinkamina sets down a scalpel onto a metal tray purposely making noise enough to wake the stallion.
"Wakie wakie mister!" Pinkamina joyfully blurts. TwoTone slowly opens his eyes, attempting to stretch, but oddly failing due to the leather straps holding him down to a conspicuous table that he's laid upon. His eyes focusing on the pink mare that stands before him.
"Good morn-wait...Who exactly are you? And pray tell why I'm strapped to this table." He tries to examine the room, but keeping his sight on the mare. Petting the stallion's head, blatantly telling him her plan, as, in her mind, he will not live long enough to do anything about it.
"I strapped you down so you wouldn't squirm too much while I cut you open and use your insides in my kitchen." Her joyful tone suddenly gone and an all to familiar mono-tone feeling about her voice takes over. TwoTone rolls his eyes and sighs, locking eyes with the mare, his dark green eyes piercing what's left of her soul.
"Well then, that's no way to treat new visitors to your town. At least tell me your names before taking my organs." He glances over to a dark corner, had already caught sight of the orange filly who was attempting to hide.
"And yes, I saw you already little one." A high and admittedly cute gasp comes from the filly, dropping down her purple mane to try to cover her face. She steps out into the light, and reveals the rest of her self, to TwoTone's surprise she's a pegasus. He happily addresses this quite quickly.
"Huh, I never expected you t-" for the second time to what he thinks is one day, he's been cut off.
"Enough chatter, gutting time." Pinkamina grabs the scalpel, raising it and eyeing the point of impact she plans to slice the stallion open from. This time interrupting the mare,
"You really plan on cutting me open? What a joke." He scowls at the mare. Pinkamina glares at the stallion that's about to be stabbed and lowers her scalpel, closing her eyes and sighing.
"Pinkamina Diane Pie and Scootaloo."
"Yeah, hi." Scootaloo says a little awkwardly.
"Nice to met you both!" TwoTone says joyfully. The two mares look at eachother, confused as all Tartarus. Yanking his hind legs out from under the straps, bucking them backwards and tearing his forelegs from the leather bonds. Just as he lands, Pinkamina reacts by lunging with the scalpel towards the stallion, preventing him from escaping. In an attempt, TwoTone raises his right forehoof to divert the blade but only managing to divert it into his side, splitting it's way into his hide, but with Pinkamena's speed and precision, the now blood slick knife buries it's self into one of his ribs with a room silencing *thunk*. For about a minute of silence from all three ponies, they all stay stationary. The only movement in the room is the intoxicating dark red blood oozing from TwoTone's new wound. The two mare's focuses on separate parts of the stallion: Scootaloo on the scalpel, and Pinkamina on TwoTone's muzzle. To her surprise his face is not filled with pain and horror, but amusement and hunger. Splitting down the center of his body, his fur changing color from gray to white and black. The right side of his hide darkens to an almost midnight black, his left side brightens to a squint-worthy white. The dripping blood now down to his shoulders and his smile is up to his ears. As Scootaloo cowers back into her corner, Pinkamena is frozen still in confusion and shock, as no pony has ever; escaped her binds, diverted a thrust of her scalpel and and enjoyed being stabbed. What the fuck is wrong with this stallion?! Pinkamina thinks to herself. The silence is broken with the escape of TwoTone's second personality...Sabastian. His entrance to the world is his maniacal laughter that horrifies all those who hear it. Unfortunately for the two mares , they not only heard it, but they also witnessed mouth that it comes from and the bottomless pits that are his corrupt, dark purple eyes. With faster hooves then she has ever seen, Pinkamina was shoved to the ground and all four of her legs were spread out to the sides, leaving herself completely exposed. Sabastian's next move was towards the terrified filly, the clear path between the stallion and her made it very easy for him to dash 'n' grab her throat with his left forhoof. His right hoof grasps the scalpel, yanking it out and projecting it right into the Pinkamena's chest, handle first. Having to physically look up to the stallion while he performs his karma and insanity inspired deeds to the pair, not fazed by the thump against her chest that was the surgical blade. To all three ponies surprise; Pinkamina, Scootaloo and TwoTone, Sabastian kisses Scootaloo in the head. He grins and sets the filly down, with an amused and joyful, hinted with a little bit of crazy tone
"YOU TWO HAVE SO MUCH FUN POTENTIAL FOR ME TO CUT INTO SLICES OF PONY PIES!!" Before they can even think again, Sabastian begins trotting off, his fur returning to it's original color, as does his personality. Looking back and winking
"We should do this again some time." TwoTone teases, leaving the pair in utter confusion.
TwoTone trots around the town square a couple times, alternating directions each time around. "Uhm you look lost mister." He tilts his head, remembering the little voice. He turns his head to the source and low and behold, the same filly from last night. He scratches the back of his head and replies a little embarrassed.
"Heh, yeah. Just...A lot." He leans down to the filly's level and whispers
"Do you know where I can find a seamstress?" Jumping up and shouting
"Yeah!! Just over there, that fancy building. Her name is Rarity! Ask her for seamstress-es-es stuff!" TwoTone follows her pointing hoof right to the symmetrical building from when he arrived. Oh no. Of course it would be that building. He tries to fake a grateful smile, but ends up with the goofiest smile the filly has seen. She giggles and hops away.
"You're welcome mister!" The enthusiasm in that one, it's astonishing. He thinks to himself before starting towards the boutique. TwoTone knocks on the door after arriving, hesitantly but confidently. Not a moment later he hears a gentle but sultry voice call "Coming dear!" and as a true gentlecolt, he waits. A minute passes until Rarity opens the door with her dexterous magic.
"Well hello! What can I do for a stallion like yourself?" She cooes and flicks her mane lightly.
"Yes uhm, I'm looking to get a custom suit made and I was told that you are the one to talk to. Rarity, right?" And from flirty to fashionista in flash, Rarity lets him in and lets her mind buzz with all the different types of suit that would accent the stallion's coat, mane and eyes perfectly. With a comment as boastful as one from Rainbow Dash herself,
"I make the finest attire for any pony, any occasion! What do you have in mind my dear?" With a distracted look in his eye, TwoTone looks around a little then sets his eyes back onto Rarity, locking eyes with her,
"I'm wondering if I could get a suit made for-" Once again, cut off as Rarity assumes and blurts
"Your wedding, how wonderful! And I know just the style to sweep that special somepony right off her hooves!" Quick as a whip, Rarity gets to work, tape measures, rolls of fabric, threads, needles and gems fly about her shop, TwoTone dashing from anything that comes his way.
"Sir, please stop moving, I can't get a good measurement with you running about!" Rarity says sternly. TwoTone evading a few more objects before stopping and informing the clothes crazy unicorn,
"And what if a wedding suit isn't what I want?" The moment the last word comes out of his mouth, everything stops dead for a few seconds before plummeting to the ground, Rarity dropping everything that her magical grasp held.
"I am so so sorry sir, I just assumed what you wanted and started working. Forgive my actions." She apologises , lowering her head. Smiling at the dramatic mare, TwoTone pats her on the head,
"I'll forgive you, on one condition." Rarity looks up to the grey earth pony.
"Make my suit exactly how I tell you." His words were magic to her ears, grinning and blushing slightly,
"Oh worry not, I'm good at doing as I'm told." She teases, hoping he caught on to her invitation. Her mind going in six different directions; suits, slaps, slashes, searing, seduction and sex.
"Now, listen to me carefully," Rarity excitedly gets out her paper and pencil, ready for the instructions.
"The suit is double breasted, only one button connects the two halves." As Rarity is drawing, she cuts him off again
"Well, that's not too-" TwoTone cutting her off by clearing his throat and giving her a look.
"Sorry." She blushes.
"And I want, without flaws and completely precise, the suit and tie, left half white and right half black." He looks over to her to hear her pencil snapping,
"Do you KNOW how hard th-" TwoTone cutting her off again,
"I don't care. Get it done, I'll give you your bits and I get my suit. Got it?" She heavily sighs
"Fine. Customer is always right." Picking up her half pencil and beginning to shade the drawing.
"Atta girl." TwoTone unintentionally teasing her before exiting the boutique. Opening the door and immediately squinting as the sun shines in his eyes.
"Bloody Celestia..." he curses under his breath. The familiar little filly runs up to him,
"Mister! Mister! Mister! Follow me!" She blurts and bounces on the spot.
"A-alright...?" He hesitates, then following the excited filly.
"Where are we going?" TwoTone asks the bounding filly,
"I'm taking you to get your very own autographs from the most musicalist ponies!" TwoTone thinks for a moment,
"Neon Lights and his little crew?" The little one still bouncing but at the same time begins giggling,
"No silly mister, Vinyl Scratch and Octavia! Neon just plays good songs backwards and adds some wubs. He sucks!" TwoTone just chuckles. Arriving at the autograph lineup, TwoTone stops but the filly keep going,
"Come on mister, follow me!" She excitedly chirps.
"But the-"
"Nope!" The filly cutting him off. Why do I even try? TwoTone sighs. The filly hops past the two bodyguards and TwoTone is stopped by them.
"It's okay, he's with me." The filly says to the guards, a little sly tone added to her statement. Guards grunting and letting him through. TwoTone awkwardly smiles at the two, but only gets a glare back. Plotholes... TwoTone growls to himself. Skipping the line, TwoTone and the filly trot/hop right to the musical pair. TwoTone stopping at the desk as the filly hops away.
"Bye mister!" She cheers.
"Ah-nevermind..." Turning to the two,
"Salutations." Breaking the ice. This word catches Octavia's attention, her ears perking up.
"To you as well, friend." She offers a hoof to shake, TwoTone smiling and gladly taking and shaking it. He waits for Octavia to let go, which didn't take long. Turning to Vinyl, "And you must be Vinyl Scratch, pleasure to meet you." He offers his hoof,
"Yeah, nice to pleasure you too!" Vinyl grabbing and shaking his hoof, Octavia facehoofing.
"Well met...?" TwoTone taking his hoof back.
"So, what brings you here, signing, pictures of us, pictures with us?" Octavia changing the subject. TwoTone looking a little confused "I uh...I was lead here by a bouncing little filly who seems to know everypony..." Octavia gasps
"You know her?! I've been wanting to talk to her for a while. She's always at the best venues, talking to the most important and famous ponies. Not only in the musical industry, but all of them! She's on a first name basis with Hoity Toity! I. Must. Talk to her." Octavia's eyes glowing with excitement, TwoTone taking a step back.
"Yeah, she does that once and a while, when people talk about famous ponies." Vinyl calmly explains. Octavia gets out of her seat,
"I demand you tell me where you last saw her." TwoTone slowly points past the two, Octavia's head jolting to where he pointed, dashing blindly in that direction. Vinyl, rolling her eyes with a This again look on her face, TwoTone joining the chase after Octavia.
"Did you really think you'd be able to find her?" Vinyl asks with a hint of annoyance, opening the door for the two earthponies. Octavia grumbling, she turns and faces away from the two, Vinyl turning to TwoTone.
"Can I get you something to drink?" Vinyl offers the stallion. He simply shakes his head and waves his hoof.
"Alrighty then, want something to eat? If we have anything..." Her words trail off, Vinyl leaning her head into the kitchen for something to offer him.
"No than-"
"Well good, 'cuzwegotnothin'." Vinyl cuts him off. TwoTone tilting his head,
"Can you not go out and buy something?" Octavia jumping into the conversation,
"Call The Cakes, I could go for a cupcake or two." Turning back and making her way to a side table, picking up Vinyl's cell.
"You know what? That's actually a good idea." Vinyl motioning for Octavia to toss her phone to her, Octavia raising a brow.
"Of course I'll catch it, I have magic. Duh!" Rolling her eyes, tossing the phone as instructed.
"I got it! I got it!" Vinyl dives and grabs the phone in her magic, landing on the floor, wooping. Chuckling, TwoTone goes over and takes a seat on their couch, Octavia sitting beside him. Vinyl floats her phone in front of her while she sits on the couch, tapping her hoof on the screen, trying to get it to work, for it was frozen. TwoTone watches as the Vinyl takes apart her phone, her battery popping out and the screen dies slowly as the power leaks from it. His mind twists his vision, now watching himself tearing out a pony's heart, staring into their eyes, watching as the life in the pony leaks out. His stomach rumbles, eyes glazing over with a blood lusting sheen. Octavia and Vinyl both lean towards him.
"Hey buddy, you there?" Vinyl says, poking his head.
"Anypony home?" Octavia quickly smacks Vinyl's hoof,
"Don't do that!" Octavia scolds,
"Sorry." Vinyl droops her head. Softly nudging his shoulder,
"Sir, are you okay?" TwoTone blinks and shakes his head, clearing his mind.
"Sorry what?" He says, a little dazed.
"We were wondering what happened to you!!" Vinyl blurts out, Octavia scolding her,
"Vinyl!".
"No no, it's fine." TwoTone shrugging it off. Octavia lays a hoof on his shoulder, concerned for her new friend,
"That's good, but are you okay?"
"Okay? OKAY?!" TwoTone's pupils shrink, his eyelids stretch, laughing manically,
"OH YES, I'M OKAY, EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!! I ONLY HAVE HAVE TWO MINDS TEARING AROUND IN MY BRAIN!!" He screams, pausing for a minute. Vinyl and Octavia are taken aback by his sudden outburst, a little scared and worried. TwoTone leans into Octavia's ear,
"And a never ending hunger for the liquid that flows through veins of all living beings..." Running a hoof slowly down her neck, picturing the described liquid gushing out of her neck. Octavia frozen in shock and a hint of fear, reluctantly asking the exact question he wanted,
"And w-what's that?" TwoTone grinning wider then ever, excited that she's going along with his little game in his head. Walking around behind her, climbing up the couch, leaning his head down right next to hers, breathing down her fur,
"Blood." the word flowed out of his mouth like a river of ice, going directly for her spine. Vinyl shivers from the vibe she's getting from TwoTone. Octavia stumbles off the couch, facing TwoTone who then follows her off the couch, circling around her as she shakes uncontrollably. Grinning, TwoTone bumps her flank with his, causing her to crumple and onto the ground with a *thump*. TwoTone and Vinyl stare at Octavia for a few seconds before TwoTone bursts out laughing so hard he literally falls over and rolls on the floor in laughter. Moments later Vinyl smirks a bit, eventually chuckling at Octavia. The laughter snaps Octavia out of her fear frozen state, glowing lightly in embarrassment. Looking up at Vinyl, Octavia stands up, brushing herself off, then instantly scowling at Vinyl, "That's not funny!" Vinyl walking over and wrapping her left fore leg around Octavia's shoulders,
"Oh come on, aside from the whole crazy blood part, it was pretty hilarious!" And with a defeated sigh, knowing she can't win this battle,
"Yes, I guess you're right..." Standing silently and starting towards the door, pausing,
"Of course she's right, she's the Vinyl Scratch." Looking back at them before embarrassing them both,
"That and she wants be your fillyfriend." Both of them burst into blush, glowing brightly. Octavia instantly turning away, hiding her face. Vinyl on the other hoof, barking a question to take the attention off her embarrassment.
"And what makes you think that up, bud?!" His eye twitching, TwoTone turns to Vinyl,
"Do you really think I'm that stupid? I've lived long enough to see it. I've had enough friends date, then eventually getting killed...But that's beside the point." Both mares look at the stallion in total shock, then each other with an /oh-shit/ look.
"My point is, it's easy to see it..." He swoops into Vinyl's face and grasping her head with both hooves so she can't look away. Locking eyes with her, his voice becoming lower and indescribably creepy, whispering.
"Through these beautifully clear windows to your soul!" He pauses for a moment, tilting his head,
"Which I would love to take." Instantly Octavia rushed TwoTone in an attempt to knock him over by catching him off guard. Failing to catch him off guard but succeeding in bashing him over with her head. Surprised on how strong Octavia actually was, TwoTone doesn't retaliate. Sliding a few feet before bumping into a near wall.
"I don't care who you are or how crazy you are, you are NOT taking anything from [i[MY[i/] Vinyl!!!" She yells ferociously. Standing firm and protective in front of her newly established fillyfriend, ready to fight to the death. TwoTone simply smiles.
"Fine then, then should I take yours?" Taking control back of the situation without even moving, TwoTone slowly turning his head to face them, his pupils shrink, his left eye twitching. His fur rustling, changing shades, the shifting fur splits down the center of his body. Right side turning pitch black, left side turning white.
"MAYBE I SHOULD TAKE IT ALL!!" Sabasitan screams, rising effortlessly. Recklessly making his way over to the mare-pair, Octavia growls louder the closer he gets to them. She turns her left fore leg clockwise 180º. TwoTone notices this, but unfortunately he isn't in control, nor can he reason with Sabastian, especially when he's in control. Sabastian gets into Octavia's range, she lets her back legs off the ground, using the tension of her twisted foreleg to spin her around, with exquisite timing she bucks him square in the chest as hard as she could, Sabastian tensing up last minute and his body stays ridged, only skidding backwards a few feet. Octavia spins around again to see her damage only to see a wide-grinning Sabastian about 5 feet away. Her eyes widen in surprise as Sabastian dashes towards her and stops with there faces only a few centimeters apart. Her vision filled with the split furred stallion's face. Octavia jumps back, but as soon as that happens, Sabastian lunges diagonally, ricocheting off a near wall and rocketing himself towards her side, with every intent to literally break the mare in half. TwoTone forces partial control, taking what felt like an eternity but was only a split second. The only way he could save Octavia from getting completely broken was to bend his forelegs before contact. And upon contact he feels only two ribs crack and a third snap off. The loud *crack* followed by a *thump* was the two earth ponies slamming into the ground. Octavia screams in sheer pain of her ribs breaking, Vinyl cringing at the sound of the snapping bone. After recovering from the initial shock, Vinyl rushes over to Octavia in an attempt to comfort her, for what it's worth at this point. TwoTone and Sabastian on the other hoof, their fur now black and grey.
"WHAT THE BUCK?!" TwoTone screams at Sabastian. The stallion now rolling around the floor, limbs flailing and a hail of thuds and cracks as legs, hooves and halves of one head hit off the floor as two minds fight with one another. TwoTone and Sabasitan's voices going back and forth.
"I JUST WANTED SOME WINDOWS!!!" Sabastian yelling back.
"I'm trying to make us some friends, then you go and try to break one of them in half! What are you thinking?!" TwoTone scolds.
"DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE LIVING HALF WAY IN HELL?!" Sabastian growls. TwoTone growls back, taking control of their body. Standing up and swinging the black half of his head into the corner of a wall as hard as he could, instantly cracking his skull, as well as splitting his hide two and a half inches both ways from the point of impact. The opening instantly bursting with blood, it spilling out profusely as TwoTone's voice shudders,
"O-only half?!" He laughs harshly before cutting himself off,
"I live TWO hells!! TWO!! FULL!! HELLS!!" And the unfortunate Vinyl's sensory is completely overloaded by Octavia screaming in pain and TwoTone screaming at himself. After five or six bashes against the corner, TwoTone passes out, his fur turing white. Vinyl now with an unconscious and insane stallion on her floor and her fillyfriend calming down but with laboured breathing. Thinking of how she could get her Octi fixed. Stroking her mane while she thinks. She wonders who could get the bone out and put it back into place, then sew her back up.
"Well Rarity makes dresses, but who can...." She's cut off by a shudder as she realizes the idea that is extremely risky and probably a /really/ bad idea.
"Hey Octi, can you walk? We're gunna see some friends." Helping Octavia onto her hooves.
"Why in the name of Luna would we do that? He broke my ribs and probably killed himself. But yes, I can walk." After she helps stabilize Octavia she slides herself under TwoTone,
"Uhg! Holy plot drops he's heavy!" She grunts in strain, getting him on her back.
"Come on Octi, we're going to the boutique."
