Chaos in Fillydelphia
Chapter 2

The next day was a terrible one in the fair city of Fillydelphia; ponies were being tricked by Lemon Drop, Skydancer, Morning Monarch, and Star Hopper.
“Hi, Minty,” Star Hopper smirked. “Would you like some buttercream minty cupcakes? They’re only a dollar.”
Since almost anypony could trick her into eating something, Minty fell for it. Especially since it had something to do with mint.
“Sure, I’ll buy it!” Minty gave a dollar to Star Hopper and ran on home to gobble up her cupcake.
But when Minty bit into the cupcake, she quickly spit it out. “Blech! What kind of cupcake is this?!” She noticed it was stale. And outside her window she could see Star Hopper laughing like a hyena!
“Oooh, that terrible unicorn…she’s gonna pay for this!” Minty’s thoughts screamed.
Meanwhile, up in the sky, Morning Monarch, struck Sprinkles’ tail, with a bolt of lightning.
“Aaaahhhhh!” Sprinkle screeched. Then she suddenly heard laughing from somepony. She looked up and saw Morning Monarch was the one who did it.
“Hey! That wasn’t very nice, Morning Monarch!” Sprinkles thrust her hoof upward.
Later that day, that group of mischievous ponies, tricked almost twenty-five ponies already.
Finally, Minty, Sprinkles, Bowtie, Light Heart and Ploomette had enough! The five friends galloped over to the Dream Castle to tell Princess Precious Gem and her younger sister, Majesty about the tricking.
“Princess!” the ponies called, when they ran in the castle. “We have an urgent message!”
“Whoa, slow down, ponies!” a raspy voice called.
The five ponies turned their heads towards a unicorn with a red and purple streaked mane.
The unicorn giggled. “Sorry, if I scared you. I’m Moondancer, Princess Precious Gem’s royal advisor.”
“Well, now you tell us,” Bowtie grumbled.
“Ignore her,” Light Heart pushed Bowtie aside. “Anyway, some mean…”
“…crazy,” Minty added.
“…wacky,” Ploomette put in.
“…annoying ponies ran all over Fillydelphia trying to trick everypony, into doing dumb things,” Light Heart finished.
“Hmm…” Moondancer wondered. “Well,” she said out loud. “Maybe I should ask Princess Majesty’s royal advisor, Sunset Shimmer.”
“Do you think she’s heard of them?” Sprinkles asked.
“I don’t really know, unless I ask.”
Moondancer trotted towards another room and left, leaving the five friends alone with their thoughts.
The five wondered were the Princesses were, and waited for Moondancer to come out of the other room with Sunset Shimmer.
Soon they saw Moondancer, Sunset Shimmer, Princess Precious Gem, and her younger sister, Princess Majesty, all walking out of the other room.
The sun shone on the sisters’ faces. They looked as Sparkler would say it “Absolutely magnificent!”
The five ponies began to bow to the princesses, but Princess Precious Gem held out her hoof.
“Please,” she began. “Don’t bow down to us. We’re normal ponies, just like you.”
Princess Majesty was shocked. “But, Sister! That’s not the royal way!”
“Majesty, my little sister, please understand that we’re just as normal as everypony else. Okay?”
Majesty nodded slowly. “I understand, Sister.”
Princess Precious Gem cocked her head to the side. “Moondancer informed me about these…how should I say it? Oh, yes, these prank playing ponies.”
“She did?” Bowtie asked.
Light Heart hit Bowtie’s hoof.
“Oh, yeah! I mean she did. She did!”
“Anyway,” Majesty said. “Moondancer and Sunset Shimmer are to make flyers about these ponies to all of Fillydelphia.”
Later that day, there were posters all over the bustling city. Especially all over Mayor Flitter Flutter’s office. “You can never be too careful,” she said.
At Sweetberry’s Sweet Shoppe, the topic of the day was all about those ponies. They even hung some wanted posters on the windows!
“I can’t believe our fair city is actually scared of those pranking ponies. I think everypony is just getting over nothing. And doesn’t help now that our ridiculous, worrying mayor is just doing nothing but promoting it. Like we need more problems,” Sweetberry lectured her employees.
Sweetberry always complained about everything. Her name means the complete opposite of her personality.
Twilight Twinkle, who was one of the waitresses, agreed. “I know, but our mayor does tend to worry a lot.”
“Boy, does she.”
“Excuse me, Sweetberry?” Sweetberry’s twin sister cupcake squeaked.
Sweetberry sighed and rolled her aqua blue eyes. “Yes, Cupcake.”
“I didn’t mean to bother you but-“
“BUT WHAT!?” Sweetberry snapped.
Sweetberry’s employees’ eyes grew wide. None of them would treat their siblings that way.
“I think Sweetberry is more like her dad than her mom,” a waitress named, Dewdrop Dazzle whispered to Twi Twin.
“How do you figure that?” Twi Twin whispered back to the aqua unicorn.
Dewdrop Dazzle thought for a moment before saying, “Because their dad, Wigwam acts like a chief around everypony, while their mom, Autumn is really sweet.”
Twilight Twinkle giggled. “I’m sure he does if his name is Chief.”
Meanwhile, up in the sky, Firefly, Medley, Thistle Whistle, Sky Wishes, Sprinkles, and Star Catcher were cleaning the sky of any stray storm clouds.
Thistle Whistle kicked a cloud and whistled, “I can’t believe the tricker ponies-“
“Tricking ponies!” Sprinkles corrected.
“-tricking ponies are going to take over Fillydelphia!”
“WHAT?!” Everypony, except Thistle Whistle were shocked.
“Where’d you here that from?” asked Sky Wishes.
“At the La-ti-da Hair & Spa.”
“The spa/salon talks?! Whoa, that’s creepy.” Sprinkles blinked.
Thistle Whistle laughed, “No silly,” she whistled the indication for silly. “Kimono told everypony there at the salon/spa place, thingy.”
“Oh, okay! Now I get it, I thought you meant the salon told you that,” Sprinkles did a nervous laugh.
Medley shook her head at Sprinkles, then asked, “Where did Kimono here this from?”
Before the whistling, blue Pegasus could answer, Star Song joined them.
“Hey, Star Song, what’s up?” Sprinkles asked.
“Nothing MUCH.” she sang.
“Okay, okay, you don’t have to sing it!” Sprinkles put her hooves on her ears.
While the other ponies were talking more about the tricking ponies and what they did that day, Firefly turned towards her friend, Star Catcher, who had been quiet the whole time they were working.
She noticed Star Catcher was crying, softly; so Firefly landed on the cloud next to her friend’s.
“Star Catcher, you haven’t said a word all day. Are you okay?”
Star Catcher quickly wiped the tears from her aqua blue eyes. “I’m fine. I’ve just been…thinking.”
The tall, white Pegasus tried to smile, but Firefly knew that on the inside, Star Catcher was hurting.
She folded her magnificent blue wings and hid her face underneath her blue, pink, and white, streaked mane. Something was definitely wrong.
