Why? Why am I the one stuck in this world? I was no pony special, I only mastered dark magic for scientific study. But now I'm here. In this realm with ponies, I mean people, I don't even know. Only Lonely and Rage are my only friends. I wondered how they felt about our situation. They must have thought the same way I did. But I guess it's all we could think, this is a new world to us. How should we feel? If only Luna was here to help me, she always made me feel better.
I heard my bedroom door slowly open. Somepony, body, was in the room with me. I ready my magic for any attacks the intruder would try and use on me. I start to feel electricity cover my right arm. Not a norm for unicorns, but just another strange thing about this world. Footsteps start to creak in the wooden floor. My heart starts to race. Why am I so scared? I have fought thousands of enemies in my pony life. So why should I be scared now?
In fear I throw the covers off the bed and aimed my right arm towards the intruder's direction." Move on more bucking inch and I swear it will be the last thing you will ever do", I said. When I finally get a look at the pony, person, who entered my room I saw a pail white skinned, blue haired mare, female. It was Vinyl. " Hey bro no need for the magic", she said. I lower my arm. " Vinyl why in the name of Sombra are you doing in my room?", I asked.
"Octavia told me to wake you. You need to get ready for work."
" Oh crap I forgot about work."
I rush out of my bed I head to the closet." Vinyl, out my room", I said trying to find clothes to wear. Vinyl exists my room with a laugh.If only I didn't have to live here. I start to use my magic to levitate a lovely black suit with a white dress shirt and tie." This might do", I say to myself. Like a well oiled machine I put on each piece of clothing in a well planned order. First, the black silk slacks. Then, the soft white dress shirt and I tucked in the shirt into the slacks. Next, the belt that went through each loop of the slacks. After, the black silk tie that I adjusted ti fit firm on my neck. Finally the black dress jacket and shoes.
I was completely ready for the day. I walk over to my dresser and picked up a small hand mirror. I taped the glass with one finger. Soon the face of a familiar pony appeared in it. The dark blue pony made me grin." Top of the morning princess" I said. "Ha ha, every funny. But, good morning to you too.", Luna said back ginning
"How's life in Equestria? Still boring?"
"A little but what you know how life is"
"Yeah same here. Well, not really. Living with this world's Vinyl and Octavia is very......lively"
"Glad to hear"
Luna's voice started to lower. She looked at the ground in her world. Something was up and I wanted to know what was "up" as they say. I start to use a mind reading spell I learned many years ago in my dark magic studies. Oh, that's what's wrong
"Luna listen, I wish I was there too but...... what I'm doing here is important from my magic studies. Pretty selfish of me I know. But this is something I, no,we must do. I'm truly sorry about this",I say to the sad alicorn. "I understand that but-", I cut her off I knew what she was going to say. "But nothing. As a king I MUST learn all I can", I tell her.
"I guess you're right, sorry I worried you."
"Nothing a little mind reading wouldn't help."
"Oh you cheat."
"I try my best love. Well I have to go. Those damn kids won't teach themselves. I wish they did"
"If you say so. But be safe, that world isn't the same anymore."
" I know. I found that out when my magic started working here."
"Good you might need to use it"
" I know. But what ever I had to use it on, will die.
After my little talk with Luna, I walked out of my room and start to head down stairs.As I walk, I stretch my arms which were stiff from not using them in hours. When I get to the bottom of the stairs, I sensed a strong user of magic was near by. I look up and saw a brown skinned and white haired stallion, i mean ( For the love of Discord why do I keep doing that? I need to get myself together. If I'm to retell this story I would need to do it right!), male." Hey Rage morning", I say lifting my arm to give a friendly wave. Rage nods back. He seemed to be in deep though. I wasn't going to read his mind. I learned years ago not to do that, trust me." what's on your mind?", I asked. "Oh nothing. I have a study date with Derpy and I don't know where we can study.", he said looking over at me.
"You couldn't think of a place when you planned the date?"
"We were going to the library, but they were closing early today. That's stupid ain't it?"
"Yeah it is. But things happen. Hey How about you study here tonight? I would be making my unit 6 exam for my classes at my lab, Lonely with be out with Trixie, and Vinyl and Octavia.....well......I don't want to talk about that."
"Is that right? Ok, that might do thanks for the offer."
"Well I'm have to help out my assistant in his love life."
"oh shut up!"
The two of us head into the dinning room where Vinyl, Lonely, and Octavia were sitting and eating. each of the three were occupied by their own thing. Octavia was listening to a song preformed by Walt Ribeiro and his orchestra. Every good one I must say myself. Vinyl was being enchanted by the epic beats of Skrillex. Again every good artist. And Lonely was drawing a picture of some kind, I didn't take the time to see what it was. Didn't want to mess him up when he's "in the zone" as he often says.
Rage and I look at each other. "The youth of today never seems to amaze me.", I say. Rage laughs and walks to the table. "Hey Tavia, V scratch I'm leaving see ya at school.", he says.
I understood Tavia but "V scratch"? Who came up with such names?Both females nodded and waved good bye. Rage heads out the front door putting headphones on his......head. Why am I the only adult in this household? Three of us are almost the same age. Yes Rage was younger by a few hundred years but that's life
I head to the kitchen and grab an apple. Taking one bit I walk to the three. " Hey time to go", I say."Aw man, can we just stay home? School sucks.", Vinyl says putting on her purple shades.
"Stop acting like a child."
I whisper in Vinyl's ear,"If you don't go to school I will use my magic to have Octavia stop.....you know" Vinyl eyes widen. I can tell I hit a nerve. I loved doing that. It was fun threatening Vinyl with something I would never do. But she didn't know that."Stop fooling around. You're suppose to act like an adult not some five year old.", Octavia say giving me a flat look."Out of ALL the ponies you tell that to it had to be me.", I say back to the grey and black female. Lonely looks up from his drawing and says,"You're the only one here that acts like it." I shake my head. "You know I can tell when you're lying right?", I exclaim.
"Yeah but at least I try."
The four of us head to the high school, which was only a mile away. I kept my guard up. I remembered what Luna told me. If my magic was to come back now, then something else in this world had power. I wanted to protect my friends. Well all but one. Lonely had magic of his own but only used it when he was SUPER pissed.
When we arrive at the school we head our separate ways. When I entered my classroom door two students came up to me. One was a light skinned girl with fire like hair. Sunset Shimmer was her name. The other was a light blue skinned girl with blue and white hair. My goddaughter in my old world. THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE or just Trixie for short. In Trixie's hand she had a pack of peanut butter crackers. " Girls" I say with a smile. Trixie gives me a big hug. No matter what world I'm in She still acts the same "Umm...Trixie can i get to my desk please?", I ask her with a grin on my face.
Trixie lets me go and follows me to my desk. She smiles and says,"Sorry. Got caught up in the moment there."
"It's ok GPT, I understand. How are the two of you girls this morning?"
"I'm fine Legend", Shimmer said. I remember what I really needed her for."Shimmer have a question I need to ask you."
"Ok. What is it?"
I look over at Trixie. I didn't want her to hear my words,so I say,"Umm Trixie can Shimmer and I have a moment alone for a second?"
"Ok fine. But don't forget the GREAT AND POWERFUL-"
Shimmer looks at Trixie and said,"We know Trixie! Just us a minute I will be with you soon."Trixie nods and walks away. She seems to be a little more....what's the word? More........ down to earth, I think? Yes that's it. She seemed to be to be less of a show off, but doesn't mean she still wasn't. I kind of liked this new Trixie. She was making friend easier than she was in the other. The same went for Shimmer. After that little event that happened a few before I got here, she understood friendship. I always saw the old me in her and I still do. I could tell she was going to do great things in her life.I look at my right hand and ask,"Has your magic came back?" Shimmer looks at me like i was a weirdo."No. Why you ask?", she asked back. I look back at her."Well, ever since Saturday I have been able to use my dark magic just like in Equestria. I just talk to L-, I mean, Princess Luna and she told me there is something dark in this world. So I need you to stay safe for me. OK?", I start to explain.
"Ok Legend I will try."
"Don't try. Please do it for me?"
"Ok I WILL."
"Good. Now great ready for class to begin kid.", I say putting my hand on the top of her head. I smile a Shimmer walks away. But, inside I was worried. Something didn't seem right that day, I could felt it. I think Rage and Lonely felt the same way I did.
For the last 5 minutes of class I let my students hang out as I graded their homework. I loved grading work, it allowed my mind to stop thinking about things that bothered me. And at the time I had a lot bothering me. I had the feeling something bad was going to happen. Luna's words didn't make it any better. She was never wrong, yet anyway. I looked out the window and saw a lot of clouds covering the sun. I sigh,I guess the weatherman was wrong today. Looks like it's going to rain. I hated rain. Nothing made the world look sadder than rain. I was always depressed on rainy days. It's like the world and I are connected in some weird way. Must have been because I was a scientist.
A voice soon starts to talk in my head. We're coming.. I look around the room and say," What?! Who said that?" The voice started to talk again. You won't be able to save your students or your friends.. I started to feel warm. I was going to be covered in flames if the strange voice continued to speak. I drank some water to cool me down. It wasn't going to help much, but it would keep the flames at bay for a while. I shake my head and continue to grade papers. The voice speaks to me one last time. Here we come. Here we come. Here we come HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!! HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!
A flash appeared outside and a loud BOOM followed. The ground shook. Something was in the school I could feel it in my body. " Stay here, I will be right back", I tell my students. When I look out my classroom door, half the school was in ruins. I couldn't believe my eyes. Something super strong ripped the school in half like paper.
In the rubble I saw something move. It couldn't have been human, nothing could have survived that. I look closer and the object start to look familiar to my eyes. I used my magic to levitate the strange object out the debris. I fell to my knees when I saw what it was.NO!! NOT YOU I throw the object at a wall." Kids get down and stay down!!!!!!!!NOW!!",I exclaim. I Leave the room and walk towards the object. "HOW THE BUCK DID YOU GET HERE?!" I asked it," CHANGELINGS SHOULD NOT, I REPEAT, SHOULD NOT BE HERE!!!!!!!!! SO WHY ARE YOU !!!!!!" The Changeling starts to laugh,"Everything will die. You, your friends, EVERYPONY will die."
"Oh really? Answer me this. Do you know who the buck I am?"
"Y-you're the Queen killer."
"Holy shit! You do have an education."
I lift my right hand to the Changeling." Ready to die?",I ask before using my dark magic to turn the creature into a pile of ash. A grin came across my face. But it was forced away went I looked up and saw an army of Changelings." Oh buck me"
