Lyra Heartstrings, though how much she’d hate to admit it, has lost her inspiration. And her struggle to make a comeback has affected her personal life, including her friendship with Octavia. But as fate would have it, a chance meeting with an unusual folk is all that’s needed to set her on the right course to seek the answers she’s looking for. It’s just that those answers are far to the north, in a country called Reindinhal.

Reindinhal, as grand as it sounds, is not just around the corner, nor is the land safe in any way. The Reindeer have been caught up in an on and off 3-way civil war for the majority of the last 500+ years, all the while, the mysteries of the land's forgotten past, and it's former mythological inhabitants, lies buried, but not dormant. Forces on both sides of the chessboard, both seen and unseen, are preparing for an event that might very well mean the end of the free world. And while Lyra may have chose to come to Reindinhal, someone far older than her had her adventure planned long before she was ever born.
