Pinkie Pie woke up, rising from her bed.
“Another beautiful…”
She checks her calendar.
“…Saturday in Ponyville!”
The pink party pony hopped out of bed and opened the window.
“GOOD MORNING EVERYPONY!” She shouts, her words echoing through the ears of the townsfolk.
“Morning, Pinkie!” “Good morning to you too, Pinkie!” “Heya, Pinkie!”
They were just some of the things she heard from the residents.
“I love Ponyville.” she says with a sigh as she closes the window.
She hops out of bed and out of her room.
Pinkie hops down the stairs, as accurate on her landing as ever.
She remembers when Twilight asked her how she does that, and giggles.
LAST SATURDAY
TWILIGHT POV
I watch Pinkie hopping down the stairs with precision.
“All you have to do is hop!” Pinkie tells me, demonstrating how *easy* it is.
“Ready?” Pinkie asks, as excited as ever.
“I guess?” I answer, unsure of myself
“Okie dokie lokie!” She answers.
“Aaaand, HOP!”
I jump up, but somehow, I don’t reach the ground as quickly as I calculated (YES I CALCULATED IT TYPICAL OLD ME).
I look down, and notice that I jumped all the way to the end of the staircase. She sees Pinkie, with a worried look on her face. I
realize what is happening.
“SHI-“ is all I can finish before I land on the ground.
PINKIE POV
I watch as Twilight readies herself to jump.
Ooh, I’m SO excited to see her do it!
Not because I can prove to her that it’s really easy, but also to prove EVERYONE that it’s easy! I can’t wait to finally prove everyone
wrong! Not that I hate them for thinking it to be hard, it’s just that it would be SO fun to watch others hopping down the stairs and I would be all like “Hey, I taught you that!” and they would be like “Yeah, thanks!” and I would say “No problemo!” and then I would-
Wait, why is she taking so long to land?
THUD
I run to her.
“Oops.” I tell her with a sheepish grin.
“Why… I… agree… do this…” I hear her mutter as she blacks out.
Pinkie burst out in laughter remembering it, though she knows she probably shouldn’t be considering that one of her friends was badly injured.
“Why are you laughing dear?” Mrs. Cake asked.
Pinkie looked at her, still smiling as always.
“Just uh… remembered a joke.”
Mrs. Cake just figured it was Pinkie being… well, Pinkie.
She returned to her work.
Twilight walks to the stairs, steeling herself.
“Ok, Twilight, you can do this. Just concentrate.”
She readies to jump.
“Alright stairs, you beat me last week, but you can’t beat me this time!”
Twilight jumps.
And she lands on the right step.
“YES! WOOHOO!” she shouts as she does a little victory dance
Spike walks to the stairs, noticing a rejoicing Twilight.
“Uh, what are you doing, Twilight?” he asks her, with a confused look on his face.
“WAH!” Twilight screams, surprised by the sudden appearance of the purple dragon.
She jumps.
And stays in the air.
She looks down.
“Celestia, damn it.”
THUD
“SISTER.” Princess Celestia shouts, surprising her sister, Princess Luna.
“What is it now, Tia?” Luna asks in an annoyed tone.
“I FEEL A DISTURBANCE IN THE FORCE.”
“Tia, if you keep this up, you’ll end up in a straitjacket. This is the THIRD time today.”
“BUT I FEEL IT SISTER.” Celestia insists.
“You know what I feel?” Luna asks her sister.
“WHAT?”
“I feel you’ve had one too many cups of coffee.” Luna tells her, dragging her sister away from the coffee she made.
“BUT I LOVE THIS COFFEE!” Celestia shouts, struggling to get away from Luna.
“YOU CAN HOLD ME, BUT YOU CAN’T HOLD ME FOREVER.”
Luna continues to drag her.
“NO! MY PRECIOUS COFFEE AWAITS SOMEONE TO DRINK IT.”
“Yeah right.”
And that was that.
