My Equestrian Diary's
What happened?
Load Full StoryDear diary, you won’t believe what happened today. I don’t believe it myself. Oh, but I’m getting ahead of myself. Well it started off like any other boring day, go to school, get through classes, celebrate the end of the school year. Then, when school is out, start to walk home. Then Matt comes along...
“Hey Matt,” I waved at my newest friend. He was tall, rugged, handsome, and everything a girl could want. He comes from a wealthy family, and is currently boyfriend to my best friend Catherine.
“Hey Carol, what have you been up to?” he replied.
No one ever calls me by my real name, but that’s the way I like it. Oh, and in case anyone else reads this, my full name is Caroline Matilda Rebecca Angeline Mathews the first. Where and why my parents chose that name I’ll never know. So I tell everyone I meet to call me whatever the heck they want, like Carol, or Care. “I'm just heading back home. I still have a few stuff to pack up.”
“Oh yeah. Forgot you were moving out. Where are you moving to again?," he asked.
I giggled at that. You see, Matt has a short term memory when it comes to things unimportant or have no interest to him, this being uninteresting. “I’m moving just north of town. Not too far from everyone, and far enough away from my mother.”
“Gotcha. Oh, and watch out for strange, random holes in the ground on your way there. They are popping up everywhere lately and people are tripping over them. Haven't seen one for myself yet, but it's better to be safe than sorry.”
“Ok. See you around.” Well time to head to the place I used to call home one last time, I thought to myself. And one last time to see my mother for a while.
“Sweetie, you’re wasting your time being friends with those people. They have no appreciation for animals. Speaking of which, I thought I told you to make nice with the animals and be their friend. They do get lonely once in a while you know.” That’s my mother. Annoying headache though she may be, she’s still my mother. She thinks it’s great to have friends as long as they're animals. Literally. And more importantly she thinks I am meant for something much greater than the greatest thing on earth. OK, I can honestly say that she is worse than the average mother.
“Mom. I told you already. That is the most ridiculous idea ever. Sure, there’s a lot of TV shows and movies with talking animals but that thought is just- and forgive me for saying this- IT'S JUST STUPID!”
She made an audible gasp. I had never said that what she does is stupid to her face before, though I often thought it, and I started to regret it afterwards. I ran out the door with the rest of my belongings and went to my new home. And guess what, diary. Just like in every typical story, that was the last time I would see her.
“She makes me so furious!” I said to no one in particular. I was having a slumber party with all the girls. Catherine was there with Sammy, Julie, and Beatrice. Everyone was enjoying themselves till I came through the door with smoke coming out of my ears.
“Girl, you need to chill out. You are ruining the mood.” That’s Sammy. She’s a blond haired girl that boys swoon over. Not too tall and super thin. And her eyes looked exactly like the night sky. I am serious. Darkest blue you ever did see with little white spots that looked like stars.
“Yes please. You are quite dreadful when you are upset. If I were to describe you like this as a pony, you would be Twilight Sparkle.” Julie is a typical everyday brunette with a hint of red through her hair and has a slight hint of violet in her eyes. She claims she was raised to be a “proper” lady, though proper might be a little exaggerated because she tries to be like some pony named Rarity from this show called "My Little Pony".
“Leave the poor girl alone. She was just in an argument with her mother” thanks a lot Beatrice. I needed that reminder. Tall girl on my left with raven black hair. Sweet thing, but never helps in this kind of situation.
“Well, she could always apologize tomorrow. Right now I say we get this party started.” Thanks Cat. Cat is Short for Catherine. Redhead through and through. Ready to get in fights, and will be there for her friends. And she is ready for a fight right now. “Pillow FIGHT!” She threw a feather pillow at me, and hit me in the face. "Bulls eye!"
"You are so gonna get it!" I threw one at her, but she ducked at the last second, which meant my pillow hit Sammy, who happens to be the pillow fight queen.
When we all woke up the next morning, Sammy was still the reigning champ, and there were feathers everywhere. There were feathers in our hair, our mouths, shirts, all over the floor, and even a few that somehow stuck to the ceiling. We cleaned our mess and started saying our goodbyes. “Thanks girls, for cheering me up. Well I’ll go and talk to mother.”
"We'll come with you,"said Cat.
"Thanks, guys," I replied,
As soon as we walked out the door, one of the holes Matt was talking about, appeared at our feet. I grabbed for the edge but missed. I am screaming so hard that I assume it will eventually cause me to black out, but I managed to write this much down. This is the longest, darkest, and strangest fall ever. Hold on diary, I think I see something white at the bottom of this place. Its a LIGHT! Am I going to end up Going to China?!! No wait, that's a myth, and besides, China would be dark right about now and that light is just getting brighter. What's going on?!
Well diary, apparently I blacked out. I'm between some buildings, and I don't see the girls anywhere. Hold on that color was't there a second ago. I look up to see a very pink pony with a curly pink mane and tail.
"Hi. You must be a new pony because I saw you fall out of the sky and I don't know you *gasp* I gotta get your welcome to Equestria party set up. My names Pinkie Pie by the way. "
