When Chrysalis gets blasted out of Canterlot, she winds up on Earth in a highland region. A recluse named Daniel Walters finds her bruised and beaten and takes her in.

When Chrysalis awakens, her first instinct to being in a human's care is to take advantage of him and use him as a puppet, but in a bizarre twist of fate, he seems to be immune to her changeling magic.
