I awake to a strong beam of sunlight, attacking my bloodshot eyes as I struggle to regain sleep. After tossing and turning from one side to the next, my battle with slumber utterly failed.
"Ugh! Alright! Alright world, I'm up!" I groan and throw my dark purple blanket across my bedroom. As my black, silky mane covers my eyes with perfect effect, I start walking across the hall, entering my bathroom.
I begin searching for my special comb, finding myself almost taking apart my cabinets. "Oh buck. Where did I leave it again? It's gotta be around here somewhere..." My instincts were ambitious, my mind set to finding that comb. No matter what the cost would be.
Of course, I found it next to the sink. Ha! What luck.
My mane was now covering my left eye, just the way I intended it to be. I smiled. "There we go. Now for the eyeliner."
I start to put deep focus on my reflection, stroking one thick layer of black underneath my right eye. I begin to hear something from the hallway. Evil laughter seemed to take control of my atmosphere.
"Hello?" I exclaim, taking my eyes off the mirror. "Whoever's in there....." I hopelessly searched for a threatening statement, I thought up nothing. "Well, you k-know what I m-mean!" I stuttered, my hooves shaking with fear.
I take a deep breath as a brutal chill runs through my spine Glancing into my reflection yet again, my right eye suddenly turned red as an eire darkness shadows over my face. A demonic voice emerges from the demon's mouth; "The story's beginning."
I turn away from the mirror and let out a yelp, facing the floor with my eyes glued shut. I dare not look back, yet I did anyway.
To my surprise, everything was back to normal; My hazel eyes, and perfect white coat shines brightly as the sun rises higher, giving much more light through the open window on the far left.
I began questioning the event that took place. "What was that?" I said aloud. "And what story?" Before I could ponder any more thoughts, somepony knocked at the door.
"Coming!!" I shouted from the bathroom, my mind still troubled. I walk to the door and creaked it open slowly, unsure of what other unexpected event would creep up behind me.
"Hey Crashie." It was Rainbow Dash, one of the coolest ponies around, and also one of my best friends. "You still up for that cloud clearing race? The morning's still young, bro." She smiles with a gleam in her eyes.
"Uhh......yeah, sure. Just a minute. I gotta get something." I dashed into my room and came out with my black hoodie on and iPod in my ears as it clipped onto one of the straps.
"Gee Crash. You really that hoodie huh?" She says, chuckling a bit. I smirk, flipping my mane away from my eye.
"Yeah, pretty much."
"I'll say! You wear that thing every day. Makes me wonder if you ever wash it!"
"Oh...yeah I wash it here and there." I smile at her joke.
"Anyways, we better get going." She flies up onto one of the clouds and kicks it. "The sky isn't gonna clear itself." Rainbow Dash races, clearing a quarter of the clouds.
"Hey! Wait up, you show off!" I begin racing the blue Pegasus 'till the last cloud stood.
Though I was only smiling on the outside, a dark shadow casts it's darkness upon my insides. As if somepony - no, someTHING - was watching me. Something unknown to the world that would soon rein it's ugly head, to cause sorrow and suffering to everypony I love. I'm not sure if that is the case, but I'm for certain it's bound to happen.
The ponies who love us the most, are usually the ponies who hurt us the most. The ponies that bring you up eventually tare you down, no matter how hard you try to stay calm and collected.
Overtime your atmosphere turns into nothing but heartache and despair, and you try to look back on what use to be your happiest moments. Your entire demeanor departs into a shadow, when it was once one of the brightest lights to everypony around you. Making them smile as you shared your talents with them.
Well, I suppose that is fair to explain? Seeing qthe good and bad times come to pass, witnessing how life goes on as the ages slip away. Second to minute, minute to hour, hour to day, ponykind could go on for countless eons and yet face the challenges and trials due to overcoming emotionality.
