Then came first contact with the race living on the continent. a race of Equines which called themselves 'ponies' which was divided into five races: Unicorn, Pegasi, Earth Pony, Crystal Pony and Alicorn. The Ponies claimed to have come in peace, but what humanity did not know was that one pony had other plans. Princess Celestia, one of the Diarchs of Equestria, looked on humanity with eyes of hate and loathing. She saw humans as barbarians, beings who loved war and chaos and darkness, a race that needed to be tamed, to be come like the Equestrians.....or be destroyed. To do this, she used propaganda on her own kind, to get them to support her planned conquest of Earth. She fooled her sister and her student into helping start what was known as 'the Conversion Bureau' under the idea of using a spell to turn those humans who were disabled physically or feeble by old age a second chance, even if they were to walk on four legs. Princess Twilight Sparkle was the one who made the original version of the potion, which worked without changing the mind of the one that turned into a pony. After wards, Celestia soon tampered with it in secret and made it that the potion not only turned the one effected by it into a pony, but effectively Lobotomized them. When Humanity found out, the world went to war. Destroying all Conversion Bureaus worldwide and fighting against Equestria. The Human-Equestrian War lasted for five years, which the Ponies winning with the use of Magic, and their main weapon: The Barrier Field. Celestia used it to destroy all Human Technology, weapons and Civilization, turning humans that got trapped into 'New foals' This was Genocide at it's worse. But Humanity fought back, the Barrier destroyed most weapons, but the humans used Biological weapons, which the magic could not destroy. the weapon used was a hybrid between the West Nile Virus and the Ebola Virus. If humanity was to die out, then it would take the Ponies with them. But no one, Human or Pony, knew of what was about to happen. Igor Lynch was a man who saw the world and thought it should be wiped clean. He saw Humanity as a Corrupt and sick race that needed destroyed, same with the Ponies. He sought to restore the Earth to it's Pre-human age, and to do that he decided to use Dark Magic, Magic from a time when humanity was still very young. He became a powerful Dark Sorcerer, powerful in the Dark Arts. He was ready to launch he plan and what better way then to use the Barrier it self to bring back The Beast of The Prehistoric Earth? He was the last Human left as the Barrier closed, and just as the Pony-Killer Plague had started. Using the Dark Magic, he hijacked the Barrier and sent out a powerful Spell. The Blast that happened killed Igor Lynch, but it also activated All of Earth's Lay-lines. The Magical backlash hit the Ponies, namely the Alicorns and Unicorns Hard. many Unicorns lost their magic or died while the Four Alicorns, Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Twilight Sparkle had their magic weakened Earthquakes and Extreme weather struck around the world and caused chaos. But it also worked as many of the Prehistoric animals suddenly returned. All the Prehistoric animals. Igor wanted to bring back the animals of the Pre-Human Cenozoic and Ice age, but the spell also brought back animals from The Paleozoic and also from one Era that was well known. the Mesozoic. Prehistoric monsters soon walked the Earth again, Trilobites crawled on the Ocean Floor as Prehistoric fish, sharks, Early Whales and marine reptiles swam around them. Great Pterosaurs few in the sky with birds while on land, The Giant Mammals and the mammal-like reptiles with with Earth's first Rulers...... The Dinosaurs. The Ponies soon discovered that these animals could not be controlled and also found out that they were now the prey for many of the Prehistoric Predators, mainly the Theropod dinosaurs. the worst of this group was one that become the enemy of all ponies. the Dromaeosauridae, or better known as the Raptors. The Spell not only brought them back to life, but it also gave them intelligence, they were smarter then anything, even the humans and ponies were not as smart as the Raptors, and the Raptors saw ponies as a race that was only good for one thing.... Food. The Ponies were attacked by the Raptors, who started their own Empires on the Earth. Soon not even Equestria it self was safe as one Raptor clan, the Black Claw, invaded to take over. In the final battle at Canterlot, Celestia fought against the ruler of the Black Claw Clan, a Raptor witch known as Jezebel Darkfeather. The Evil Witch was too powerful and she killed Celestia and destroyed the Barrier. Equestria was dead, The Black Claw renamed the Continent 'Lemuria' and started building up an Empire to conquer the Earth. Many ponies soon died in the takeover. the Unicorns were wiped out, the other Three Alicorns were missing and the Pegasi and Earth Ponies were being hunted down. The Crystal Ponies, whose bodies were made of crystal, were turned into slaves instead of livestock. The New-foals were the ones that were used as livestock to feed the Black Claw Empire. But yet the Remaining Equestrians soon started a Resistance. hiding in places like Everfree Forest, the Australian Outback or even the former Northwest US, they started fighting back. Lead by Rainbow Dash, the Pony Rebellion continues to fight the Black Claw Empire in hopes of regaining all that had been lost to the Raptors. This is where the Story begins..... Chapter One: Welcome to the New AgeChapter One: Welcome to the New Age Western Plains of Lemuria (formerly Equestria). Year 15 of The Xenozoic Era. Luna had been living here for a long time. It had been 15 years since chaos begun, when the Earth went haywire. When everything her sister did came back to bite her in the ass hard. Luna could still remember the day when Celestia's world came crashing down on her, when Equestria died in the final battle at Canterlot. Luna walked on the ground, which was ironically safer then flying in skies full of killer Pterosaurs and giant birds of prey. Luna her self found safety in the form of a mixed herd of Ultrasauros and Mesohippus. Luna felt more at ease with the primitive horses then she did with the giant sauropods. It was almost unnerving how much the dinosaurs reminded her of the Dragons back in her home-world. It had been over 20 years since Celestia, claiming that the world was going to end, moved Equestria to another planet, only to start planning conquest. Luna had been fooled into believing that it was right, that the humans needed to be converted. But as the years went by, She thought twice about the whole thing. Soon she decided to confront Celestia about one part of the Conversion; The so-called 'new-foals' former humans that were in fact, mindless, retarded, unnatural freaks. Luna had found out about the Tampering of the Conversion Potion and decided enough was enough. Luna still remembered that day, it was the same day all hell broke lose when a human wizard hijacked the Barrier and awakened the lay-lines of the planet. The disaster that happened changed the planet. Earthquakes shook the land, tsunamis smashed into coastal areas worldwide while the weather started going nuts. The polar ice caps melted and flooded many places while volcanoes sent out clouds of ash and sulfur to cover other places. Even the plants went wild! Earth it self rebelled against Celestia and the Unicorns had the worse part of it. The Magi-Apocalypse as it was called caused many unicorns to lose their magic or died. Then came the reports of the strange animals. The Resurrection of the Prehistoric monsters was what ended Pony Civilization on Earth. The Prehistoric mammals, the Mammal-like Reptiles and the other animals were deadly, but the Theropods were the nightmare. The carnivorous dinosaurs hunted all ponies as prey, killing many. The New-foals were easy targets for them. The worse of the lot were the Raptors. Those reptilian monsters with minds like humans and ponies had become the new ruling sentient race on the planet, thanks to the magic that Igor Lynch used. The Raptors started their own empires and hunted down the ponies. Then they came here. Luna thought. The Black Claw clan, which had been nomadic, invaded Equestria, bringing their war-beasts and weapons and dark magic. Nothing could stop them. Twilight and her friends were powerless, Fluttershy was missing, along with Discord, Applejack fell in battle, Rarity was killed, Pinkie Pie also died at their claws. Rainbow dash was in one of the Colonies in North America when the Invasion happened. Twilight Sparkle survived the invasion and disappeared, just after Jezebel attacked Canterlot. Luna shivered thinking of her, Empress Jezebel of the Black Claw, a witch with feathers and a evil gleam in her eyes. That monster was the one who brought the final blow to Equestria, she was the one who murdered Celestia. Luna knew that she was now being hunted by the Raptor Empress, who had renamed the land Lemuria and was expanding her empire across the Pacific rim. The Herd had stopped near a grove of trees, which gave Luna a much earned rest. Luna went to a near by brook and took a drink, still thinking about what to do. I might be the only pony left. She thought, I have seen no other pony, not even a new-foal. Perhaps the Raptors killed them all. Luna continued thinking about was was now the new normal in her homeland, when she heard the animals starting to get nervous. It was the sign of a predator stalking the herd. Luna looked around and saw something on a near by hill. In fact, it was three somethings, three large bipedal beasts, by the way they looked, they were Allosaurus but she saw something else, something was on the backs of the beasts. Luna had to act fast, using her powers, she shape-shifted into a Mesohippus, which was painful as she had to change her feet from having one toe, to having three. Luna kept a eye on the three dinosaurs, which were now racing down the hill. Had she been spotted? Luna could now see that there were things riding on the Allosaurus. Two of the riders were ape-like creatures, smaller then the long gone humans. The ape-things wore leather armor and were armed with spears. The leader was a Deinonychus, one of the ruling races of the Raptors, the feathered dinosaur wore the same armor as the ape-things. The three looked at the herd from their mounts, searching for something. Luna guessed what it was they were looking for. “No sign of that winged black bitch.” The Raptor said, “She must have spotted us and hid. Head for the next herd!” The two Ape-things nodded and rode away, while the leader looked back at the herd. He was staring at Luna. Luna almost thought that he had found out that she was in the herd, but he turned his mount and rode after the other two. Luna knew that they were looking for her. Jezebel wanted to kill all the Princesses, Celestia was dead, Cadence was missing along with Twilight Sparkle, for all Luna knew, they were dead. Luna sighed, it seemed that she was indeed the last Alicorn in the Universe. Checking to see that the Black Claw riders were not coming back, she turned back to her true form and leap into the air and landed on an Adult Ultrasauros. From there, she saw that the riders weer heading off away from the herd. She smiled a bit, she would not be found today. *************** Raptorpolis, Capital of Lemuria the large airship floated in the sky, the propellers that carried it in the air whirled like the wings of a dragonfly. Unlike the old airships of the Equestrians, the Black Claw ships did not need balloons to hold then in the air. The large engines kept the metal ship flying. Eight to hold it in the air and four to propel it forward. The Dark Sun was heading for the Imperial capital, coming back from Patagonia and the war with that kingdom, it also carried one passenger hat had been summoned by her Imperial Majesty her self, Jezebel Darkfeather her self. The creature watched as the airship started coming towards the Obsidian Palace it self. It, like the rest of the capital was colored black, surrounded by clouds of smoke from the factories that were all round the city. The Palace's main tower it self was never built by Raptors, but was built by another race, known as the 'hue-mon'. Distant cousins to Grand General Thor'rak. Thor'rak was not a Raptor, but a Ardipithecus, a species of hominid ape that was an ancestor of the 'hue-mons', he wore brown leather armor decorated with gold braids, a symbol of his rank as Grand General of the Black Claw Empire, one of seven such officers with that rank. His fur was dark brown, his eyes gray as steel. It always seem that he had a scowl on his face, as such was common for a general. The Dark Sun was docking at the airship dock, ropes shooting out and connecting to the platform. As the airship docked, Thor'rak turned to look out the window of the ship, beyond the walls of Raptorpolis was the dreaded Everfree Forest, a place that many in the Black Claw feared, it was unnatural, things in that forest were deadlier then even the oceans of the planet. Thor'rak had heard about patrols that went into the forest to hunt down the Resistance, only to never come back. The ship soon docked and Thor'rak soon got off the ship and headed off to the palace throne room. Thor'rak walked through the dark halls. He soon walked to a set of large mahogany doors, guarded by two Deinonychus in black armor. The two were males, as one could tell by the mane of red and black feathers that their ancestors once used to attract females of their species. The two had their halberds crossed, blocking the door. “I am here to see her Majesty.” Thor'rak said to them. The two on crossed their weapons and opened the door. The throne room was lit up with a red light from the large torches. The windows were made of red and purple stained glass, in the far end of the room was a throne, a throne made out of the horns and bones of unicorns. In front of it was a odd looking throw rug, it was while colored and looked liked a equine, two holes in the back was were it once had wings. The head, shaved of it's mane looked out with empty eyes. The rug had once been a royal ruler of the Ponies, a mix of the long extinct unicorns and the pegasi. Sitting on the throne was the one Thor'rak was to see. A Female Deinonychus with feathers black as the night. Her eyes glowed red with the powers she welded. A Powerful witch among all, she was the most powerful Raptor ever. Empress Jezebel Darkfeather, ruler of the Black Claw Empire. “Welcome, Grand General.” she said, her voice as smooth as Silk from Cathy, yet it was as hard as iron. “I have herd your report of the campaign against the Patagonians, I say that you have done well against that nation of sloth-herders.” Thor'rak bowed. “They could not stand up to the might of your soldiers, great one.” he said. Jezebel got up off her throne and walked over to him. “Yes,” she cooed, walking over to the side of the throne, to a fin-backed lizard like animal, a Dimetrodon that she kept as a pet, “The army of the Black Claw is powerful.” she then turned to Thor'rak “Unfortunately, not all commanders are like you. They have not yet captured the Pony Princess.” Thor'rak looked up, “We did capture one of them.” he said, “The Princess Cadence was found in Patagonia, trying to head north into Cascadea and the Rainbow Rebellion.” Jezebel turned to him “Ah, that leaves only one left.” she said. Rumors were that the fourth princess, Twilight Sparkle was dead, but yet some still said she was still alive, hiding from all the world. But Jezebel never believed in rumors. She walked over to one of the windows and looked down. In the city, four hundred slaves, Crystal Ponies. The Crystal Ponies flesh was made of crystal and could not be eaten, so they were made into beasts of burden, slaves for the Empire. “Now these slaves will never have the hope of being saved by their 'goddess'” then she turned, with a scowl on her face. “Unless that Night Princess decides to lead the resistance!” Thor'rak nodded, “We have scouts searching all over Lemuria, she can not escape the continent.” Jezebel turned towards, glaring, “But she could still contact the Ever-free Rebels!” she growled, “I want you to lead the hunt, post a reward of four hundred thousand shells for her capture! Send all your best hunters after her! I want her head.” “and what of our prisoner?” Thor'rak asked. Jezebel smiled. “Leave her to me, I have plans for that pink furred mammal.” Author's Note Now we will not getting the story off the ground and it will only get more exciting once I continue with it. As for the thing about the shells, Shells is the currency used by all Raptor clans around the world. Made of Gold, Silver, Copper, Platinum, Titanium or Iron, they are made to look like seashells. Chapter Three: The Chase begins the Adventure.Running was the best thing Luna and Sebastian could do, as being chased by Terror Bird Riders, worse was that the birds they were riding were Kelenken, Large terror birds with the largest head of any bird. like all other Terror Birds, they were predators, hunters, and used by the Raptors not only to chase down enemies, but to kill them. Sebastian and Leoa ran as fast as they could. the small Raptor looked behind him and saw the Black Claw Soldiers were gaining on them. One of the soldiers was aiming his Crossbow at Sebastian. Sebastian decided to pull out one of his own weapons, a Revolver, and aimed at the rider. The Black Claw Rider never had a chance as Sebastian fired and hit the rider dead on in the head, Blood spraying all around as he feel down off his mount. One down, four more to go. Sebastian thought to him self as he aimed again at the other riders, shooting at them in hopes that they would decide to retreat. But these riders were not giving up easily, they were in it to the end. Luna her self was hard press to try and escape the riders, knowing they would seek to kill her. Luna looked ahead to see if there was anyway to escape. Soon she saw a low hanging branch sticking out in front of her. She decided to use her magic.Her horn glowed with magic, using it to push the branch back. She ran faster, going past the tree and the branch. She soon broke off the spell and let the Branch go. It slammed into the two riders, knocking them off their Kelenken and knocking them out. Luna smiled for a bit, until a third raptor attacked from the side. The Raptor warrior jumped off his mount and slashed at the Princess of the Moon with his foot claws, cutting into Luna's side. Luna screamed in pain as blood flowed from her wound. Luna unfolded her wing and slammed the Raptor with it, knocking it away from her. Luna soon jumped into the air again, only for her attacker to jump at her and grabbed her tail. Luna soon started kicking at the Raptor, hitting him repeatedly in the skull until she gave one good kick and the sound of his neck breaking gave her the sign that she had killed him. The Raptor's body fell down to the ground with a thud. Luna soon thought that it was safe, only for a crossbow bolt to fly past her, fallowed by another. the two raptors she knocked down were back up and firing at her. Luna decided that she had enough of this and dived down as the two were reloading their weapons. Luna flew fast and struck one of the Black Claw warriors, impaling him through the neck with her horn. Blood sprayed out of the wound, covering Luna's face as he died. Luna shook him off. Suddenly she saw a flash out of the corner of her eye. she had barely enough time to dodge the sword as it slashed at her. Luna soon turned to the other raptor, who was growling before he gave a horrid War Cry and rushed at the Alicorn. Luna soon used her magic, her horn glowing as her magic grabbed a sword rom the raptor she killed and swiftly blocked the sword of the other one. Luna glared at her adversary and then reared up on her hind legs and slashed at the Black Claw Warrior. the two engaged in a duel of swords, slashing and thrusting and parleying each other like experts. Luna was a sword expert and could hold her own and it seemed that this Black Claw Warrior was one as well. Swords clashed, filling the forest with the sound of metal against metal. Soon the Raptor slammed his sword hard against Luna's Sword and knocked it out of her magical grip. Luna was in a jam now, the enemy warrior was now prepared to go in for the kill. Luna decided that it was time to end this. Looking around, she spotted one of the crossbows, already loaded. Thinking fast, Luna kicked out with her front hoofs and knocked the Raptor away. the raptor screamed at Luna with a War Cry, just as Luna Grabbed the crossbow and fired it into his jaws, up into his brain. The Black Claw Warrior died with in seconds of the bolt hitting his brain. Luna panted for a while. She had just killed three Black Claw Raptors, for the first time, she had killed those that hunted her down. It was a shock to Luna. This was the first time she had killed anything. While there were many stories about Luna fighting as a Warrior, killing many of her enemies, those were stories. Even as Nightmare Moon, she never killed anything in her life, save for bugs. Luna stood there, her eyes wide and in fear. She never saw the last raptor sneak near her, aiming it's crossbow at her back. Suddenly, a shot rang out and hit the crossbow, breaking it into pieces. Both the Raptor and Luna turned and saw Sebastian aiming his gun at the Black Claw Warrior. "Trying to shoot a señora in the back, that is dishonorable." He said. the Black Claw Warrior Growled and charged him, kicking out and knocking the gun out of Sebastian's claws. Sebastian ducked from the larger raptor and pulled out his rapier and started fighting the warrior. He was fast, quick on his feet, ducking from the slashes of the Deinonychus. "AH HA!" Sebastian said, thrusting at the Black Claw Warrior, "Your Mother was a ground Sloth, because you are slow!" Sebastian was being pushed back by the larger fighter. Just as he wanted. He was soon near his gun. Blocking a strike from his opponent, he grabbed his weapon and aimed at the head of the Black Claw Warrior . "¡Nos vemos en el infierno!" He said as he shot the warrior in the head. Gray matter and blood flew out everywhere. Luna was watching it all in shock. Soon she finally spoke. "You...you saved me." she said in shock. "Sí, Señora," He said. "That hijo de perra would have shot you in the back, which was very dishonorable." Luna looked at him, then got up. "I did not need your help!" she yelled, "I could have handled him my self!" "Well it did not look like you were going to fight him, standing in shock like that." he said, then he smiled. "I also have a Life Debt with you now!" Luna turned in shock "WHAT!?!" she yelled, confused. "I saved your life, so I am in your debt." Luna could not believe it, she had been saved by a raptor. Raptorpolis The Airship docked at the airship dock, prepared to unload it's cargo. onb the dock, two raptor warriors were talking. "So, what is with this cargo anyway?" one asked. "Don't know," the other said, "I heard that it was found in the ruins of a city." "I heard that Doctor Mengala wanted something from the ruins for the Queen's Plan." the first one said as the cargo was starting to be unloaded. the crates that were being unloaded had a bio-hazard symbol on them with odd words marked on them that said this: Property of the Conversion Bureau Author's Note And Another chapter done. Chapter Two: Sticking it to the Raptor!The Redwood Forests near the Dragon-spine Mountains, Western Lemuria. The herd had stopped near the edge of the forest. Luna looked around, hoping that she was not spotted by any Imperial Patrols, which she was lucky, no Raptors. The Main Road to Raptorpolis was nearby and Luna knew that the Black Claw army would be watching for her and any of the 'Everfree Rebels' that were fighting the Black Claw. "Well, it looks like this will do." Luna said to her self, looking around at the forest. When The Magi-Apocalypse happened, the lay-lines of Earth struck the land of Equestria hard, plants that were native to Earth's Past and Present started growing in Equestria, starting to Terraform the land into something less like Equestria was before the disaster and more like a part of Earth it self. More like the planet took revenge for our kind trying to take it over. Luna thought grimly. Luna trotted away from the herd, going over to a patch of green grass. So far the Black Claw clan had not started expanding their hunt for her, but that could change. No doubt Jezebel is already sending out her hunters, not the common ones. she thought. the forest was alive with the songs of birds and the cries of forest dinosaurs and mammals. the world seemed like it was enjoying the wonderful weather of this day. the Earth's sun, Sol as it was called by the humans of Pre-Apocylpse Earth, was shining brightly. Luna was more of a Night-pony, but at times she did love going out into the daylight. Grazing on the grass, Luna felt more safe here then in the Open plains, as the Raptors rarely gone into the woods. Luna thought back to the Everfree, where the Castle of the Sisters was. a few days ago, she had meet a herd of Bison, a few of the races in Equestria was was still alive and fighting the Raptors. the news she got was of hope. It appeared that ponies still lived, a group of them had started a rebel army in the Everfree, right next to Raptorpolis, which sat on the ruins of Ponyville it self. But she also remebered the other news. "Many of the Strange Ponies, those called 'new-foals' are being herded up by the lizard-birds and being eaten." the Chief had told her. "They have also captured many of the Crystal ponies and are using them like work animals, same with Diamond Dogs." Luna was still horrified at the thought of not only the Crystal Ponies and the Diamond Dogs being enslaved, but that the New-foals were being used as livestock! Being eaten by those monsters! She had to do something, something to stop the killings. those New-foals were once intelligent beings, Humans that were changed into Ponies, Willingly or unwillingly. She had to save them from the Black Claw and the other Raptor clans. Yet she could not, she was on the run from the Raptors, but she could try and do it, to get the Everfree rebels the help overthrow the Back Claw and free the land from Jezebel and and free the New-foals and Crystal Ponies and all others from their rule. While she was thinking, she felt that something was wrong. the birds had stop singing, like they were scared of something. then she heard the growl behind her. she turned very slowly and then saw it.... It was a feline mammal, large and very deadly. It had golden brown fur and it had two very large fangs, seven inch long fangs. Luna knew what the thing was. The thing was a Saber-toothed Cat, a Smilodon. Worse, it had a saddle, which meant it had a rider somewhere. Luna started to back up, when suddenly, she was tossed into the air. what she did not see was the snare trap that was behind her. She was hanging in the air, on a branch, trapped with a Saber-Tooth Cat looking at her, growling. Then something leapt out of the bushes. "AH HA!" it said as it appeared below her. The creature was a Velociraptor one of the smaller races of Raptors. It had green, blue and yellow feathers with a small crest of blueish-green feathers on it's head, showing that it was a male. around his waist as a belt and in one of his hand-claws was a small rapier, pointed at her. "Ah, I see we caught a del potro señora my pet" he said to the Smilodon. Looking down, he soon saw Luna's Crown, which fell off her head when she got caught in his trap. "Oh, look, a Crown of Obsidian! Very Nice, this will fetch alot of Shells for me." "PUT THAT CROWN DOWN!" Luna yelled, trying to get her left hoof out of the snare trap. "Ah, Sorry señora, but I can and will not for you have just been robbed bu the Greatest bandido in all of Lemurai, for I am Sebastian El Gran Daga!" which that he soon did a small pose. Luna just stared at the little Raptor, then used her Magic to snap the rope. She soon fell down on all four hoofs and glared at Sebastian just as the Smilodon leapt in front of her and growled. "I am not so defenseless, Raptor!" She said, flaring her wings "i can blast you into dust, along with your mount." "Hey, Espera un minuto, don't get all loco on me, even if you are the most wanted being in Lemuria." Sebastian said. "What?" Luna said, confused. Sebastian took something of of the saddle bag of the Saber-tooth, which he called Leoa. The thing was a rolled up piece of paper. which he unrolled and showed it to her. On it was a picture of her with the words: WANTED! Just as Luna was about to yell at him, the poster suddenly flew out of his hands and was stuck to the trunk of a tree with a crossbow bolt. All three turned and saw five Deinonychus warriors, wearing the armor of the Imperial Army, riding deadly terror birds, Kelenken guillermoi, The Riders were armored with crossbows and spears and they were charging for them. "Kill those two Criminals!" the Leader yelled. Luna and Sebastian turned and decided one thing: Run! Sebastian got on Leoa while Luna started galloping. So the Chase began.
Prologue: It hits the fan.Prologue: It hits the Fan It was a nightmare when it happened. 20 years ago, a landmass appeared in the Central Pacific, causing many to ask what happened. the new Continent had appeared very suddenly and every Geologist was in total shock. Then came first contact with the race living on the continent. a race of Equines which called themselves 'ponies' which was divided into five races: Unicorn, Pegasi, Earth Pony, Crystal Pony and Alicorn. The Ponies claimed to have come in peace, but what humanity did not know was that one pony had other plans. Princess Celestia, one of the Diarchs of Equestria, looked on humanity with eyes of hate and loathing. She saw humans as barbarians, beings who loved war and chaos and darkness, a race that needed to be tamed, to be come like the Equestrians.....or be destroyed. To do this, she used propaganda on her own kind, to get them to support her planned conquest of Earth. She fooled her sister and her student into helping start what was known as 'the Conversion Bureau' under the idea of using a spell to turn those humans who were disabled physically or feeble by old age a second chance, even if they were to walk on four legs. Princess Twilight Sparkle was the one who made the original version of the potion, which worked without changing the mind of the one that turned into a pony. After wards, Celestia soon tampered with it in secret and made it that the potion not only turned the one effected by it into a pony, but effectively Lobotomized them. When Humanity found out, the world went to war. Destroying all Conversion Bureaus worldwide and fighting against Equestria. The Human-Equestrian War lasted for five years, which the Ponies winning with the use of Magic, and their main weapon: The Barrier Field. Celestia used it to destroy all Human Technology, weapons and Civilization, turning humans that got trapped into 'New foals' This was Genocide at it's worse. But Humanity fought back, the Barrier destroyed most weapons, but the humans used Biological weapons, which the magic could not destroy. the weapon used was a hybrid between the West Nile Virus and the Ebola Virus. If humanity was to die out, then it would take the Ponies with them. But no one, Human or Pony, knew of what was about to happen. Igor Lynch was a man who saw the world and thought it should be wiped clean. He saw Humanity as a Corrupt and sick race that needed destroyed, same with the Ponies. He sought to restore the Earth to it's Pre-human age, and to do that he decided to use Dark Magic, Magic from a time when humanity was still very young. He became a powerful Dark Sorcerer, powerful in the Dark Arts. He was ready to launch he plan and what better way then to use the Barrier it self to bring back The Beast of The Prehistoric Earth? He was the last Human left as the Barrier closed, and just as the Pony-Killer Plague had started. Using the Dark Magic, he hijacked the Barrier and sent out a powerful Spell. The Blast that happened killed Igor Lynch, but it also activated All of Earth's Lay-lines. The Magical backlash hit the Ponies, namely the Alicorns and Unicorns Hard. many Unicorns lost their magic or died while the Four Alicorns, Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Twilight Sparkle had their magic weakened Earthquakes and Extreme weather struck around the world and caused chaos. But it also worked as many of the Prehistoric animals suddenly returned. All the Prehistoric animals. Igor wanted to bring back the animals of the Pre-Human Cenozoic and Ice age, but the spell also brought back animals from The Paleozoic and also from one Era that was well known. the Mesozoic. Prehistoric monsters soon walked the Earth again, Trilobites crawled on the Ocean Floor as Prehistoric fish, sharks, Early Whales and marine reptiles swam around them. Great Pterosaurs few in the sky with birds while on land, The Giant Mammals and the mammal-like reptiles with with Earth's first Rulers...... The Dinosaurs. The Ponies soon discovered that these animals could not be controlled and also found out that they were now the prey for many of the Prehistoric Predators, mainly the Theropod dinosaurs. the worst of this group was one that become the enemy of all ponies. the Dromaeosauridae, or better known as the Raptors. The Spell not only brought them back to life, but it also gave them intelligence, they were smarter then anything, even the humans and ponies were not as smart as the Raptors, and the Raptors saw ponies as a race that was only good for one thing.... Food. The Ponies were attacked by the Raptors, who started their own Empires on the Earth. Soon not even Equestria it self was safe as one Raptor clan, the Black Claw, invaded to take over. In the final battle at Canterlot, Celestia fought against the ruler of the Black Claw Clan, a Raptor witch known as Jezebel Darkfeather. The Evil Witch was too powerful and she killed Celestia and destroyed the Barrier. Equestria was dead, The Black Claw renamed the Continent 'Lemuria' and started building up an Empire to conquer the Earth. Many ponies soon died in the takeover. the Unicorns were wiped out, the other Three Alicorns were missing and the Pegasi and Earth Ponies were being hunted down. The Crystal Ponies, whose bodies were made of crystal, were turned into slaves instead of livestock. The New-foals were the ones that were used as livestock to feed the Black Claw Empire. But yet the Remaining Equestrians soon started a Resistance. hiding in places like Everfree Forest, the Australian Outback or even the former Northwest US, they started fighting back. Lead by Rainbow Dash, the Pony Rebellion continues to fight the Black Claw Empire in hopes of regaining all that had been lost to the Raptors. This is where the Story begins.....
Chapter One: Welcome to the New AgeChapter One: Welcome to the New Age Western Plains of Lemuria (formerly Equestria). Year 15 of The Xenozoic Era. Luna had been living here for a long time. It had been 15 years since chaos begun, when the Earth went haywire. When everything her sister did came back to bite her in the ass hard. Luna could still remember the day when Celestia's world came crashing down on her, when Equestria died in the final battle at Canterlot. Luna walked on the ground, which was ironically safer then flying in skies full of killer Pterosaurs and giant birds of prey. Luna her self found safety in the form of a mixed herd of Ultrasauros and Mesohippus. Luna felt more at ease with the primitive horses then she did with the giant sauropods. It was almost unnerving how much the dinosaurs reminded her of the Dragons back in her home-world. It had been over 20 years since Celestia, claiming that the world was going to end, moved Equestria to another planet, only to start planning conquest. Luna had been fooled into believing that it was right, that the humans needed to be converted. But as the years went by, She thought twice about the whole thing. Soon she decided to confront Celestia about one part of the Conversion; The so-called 'new-foals' former humans that were in fact, mindless, retarded, unnatural freaks. Luna had found out about the Tampering of the Conversion Potion and decided enough was enough. Luna still remembered that day, it was the same day all hell broke lose when a human wizard hijacked the Barrier and awakened the lay-lines of the planet. The disaster that happened changed the planet. Earthquakes shook the land, tsunamis smashed into coastal areas worldwide while the weather started going nuts. The polar ice caps melted and flooded many places while volcanoes sent out clouds of ash and sulfur to cover other places. Even the plants went wild! Earth it self rebelled against Celestia and the Unicorns had the worse part of it. The Magi-Apocalypse as it was called caused many unicorns to lose their magic or died. Then came the reports of the strange animals. The Resurrection of the Prehistoric monsters was what ended Pony Civilization on Earth. The Prehistoric mammals, the Mammal-like Reptiles and the other animals were deadly, but the Theropods were the nightmare. The carnivorous dinosaurs hunted all ponies as prey, killing many. The New-foals were easy targets for them. The worse of the lot were the Raptors. Those reptilian monsters with minds like humans and ponies had become the new ruling sentient race on the planet, thanks to the magic that Igor Lynch used. The Raptors started their own empires and hunted down the ponies. Then they came here. Luna thought. The Black Claw clan, which had been nomadic, invaded Equestria, bringing their war-beasts and weapons and dark magic. Nothing could stop them. Twilight and her friends were powerless, Fluttershy was missing, along with Discord, Applejack fell in battle, Rarity was killed, Pinkie Pie also died at their claws. Rainbow dash was in one of the Colonies in North America when the Invasion happened. Twilight Sparkle survived the invasion and disappeared, just after Jezebel attacked Canterlot. Luna shivered thinking of her, Empress Jezebel of the Black Claw, a witch with feathers and a evil gleam in her eyes. That monster was the one who brought the final blow to Equestria, she was the one who murdered Celestia. Luna knew that she was now being hunted by the Raptor Empress, who had renamed the land Lemuria and was expanding her empire across the Pacific rim. The Herd had stopped near a grove of trees, which gave Luna a much earned rest. Luna went to a near by brook and took a drink, still thinking about what to do. I might be the only pony left. She thought, I have seen no other pony, not even a new-foal. Perhaps the Raptors killed them all. Luna continued thinking about was was now the new normal in her homeland, when she heard the animals starting to get nervous. It was the sign of a predator stalking the herd. Luna looked around and saw something on a near by hill. In fact, it was three somethings, three large bipedal beasts, by the way they looked, they were Allosaurus but she saw something else, something was on the backs of the beasts. Luna had to act fast, using her powers, she shape-shifted into a Mesohippus, which was painful as she had to change her feet from having one toe, to having three. Luna kept a eye on the three dinosaurs, which were now racing down the hill. Had she been spotted? Luna could now see that there were things riding on the Allosaurus. Two of the riders were ape-like creatures, smaller then the long gone humans. The ape-things wore leather armor and were armed with spears. The leader was a Deinonychus, one of the ruling races of the Raptors, the feathered dinosaur wore the same armor as the ape-things. The three looked at the herd from their mounts, searching for something. Luna guessed what it was they were looking for. “No sign of that winged black bitch.” The Raptor said, “She must have spotted us and hid. Head for the next herd!” The two Ape-things nodded and rode away, while the leader looked back at the herd. He was staring at Luna. Luna almost thought that he had found out that she was in the herd, but he turned his mount and rode after the other two. Luna knew that they were looking for her. Jezebel wanted to kill all the Princesses, Celestia was dead, Cadence was missing along with Twilight Sparkle, for all Luna knew, they were dead. Luna sighed, it seemed that she was indeed the last Alicorn in the Universe. Checking to see that the Black Claw riders were not coming back, she turned back to her true form and leap into the air and landed on an Adult Ultrasauros. From there, she saw that the riders weer heading off away from the herd. She smiled a bit, she would not be found today. *************** Raptorpolis, Capital of Lemuria the large airship floated in the sky, the propellers that carried it in the air whirled like the wings of a dragonfly. Unlike the old airships of the Equestrians, the Black Claw ships did not need balloons to hold then in the air. The large engines kept the metal ship flying. Eight to hold it in the air and four to propel it forward. The Dark Sun was heading for the Imperial capital, coming back from Patagonia and the war with that kingdom, it also carried one passenger hat had been summoned by her Imperial Majesty her self, Jezebel Darkfeather her self. The creature watched as the airship started coming towards the Obsidian Palace it self. It, like the rest of the capital was colored black, surrounded by clouds of smoke from the factories that were all round the city. The Palace's main tower it self was never built by Raptors, but was built by another race, known as the 'hue-mon'. Distant cousins to Grand General Thor'rak. Thor'rak was not a Raptor, but a Ardipithecus, a species of hominid ape that was an ancestor of the 'hue-mons', he wore brown leather armor decorated with gold braids, a symbol of his rank as Grand General of the Black Claw Empire, one of seven such officers with that rank. His fur was dark brown, his eyes gray as steel. It always seem that he had a scowl on his face, as such was common for a general. The Dark Sun was docking at the airship dock, ropes shooting out and connecting to the platform. As the airship docked, Thor'rak turned to look out the window of the ship, beyond the walls of Raptorpolis was the dreaded Everfree Forest, a place that many in the Black Claw feared, it was unnatural, things in that forest were deadlier then even the oceans of the planet. Thor'rak had heard about patrols that went into the forest to hunt down the Resistance, only to never come back. The ship soon docked and Thor'rak soon got off the ship and headed off to the palace throne room. Thor'rak walked through the dark halls. He soon walked to a set of large mahogany doors, guarded by two Deinonychus in black armor. The two were males, as one could tell by the mane of red and black feathers that their ancestors once used to attract females of their species. The two had their halberds crossed, blocking the door. “I am here to see her Majesty.” Thor'rak said to them. The two on crossed their weapons and opened the door. The throne room was lit up with a red light from the large torches. The windows were made of red and purple stained glass, in the far end of the room was a throne, a throne made out of the horns and bones of unicorns. In front of it was a odd looking throw rug, it was while colored and looked liked a equine, two holes in the back was were it once had wings. The head, shaved of it's mane looked out with empty eyes. The rug had once been a royal ruler of the Ponies, a mix of the long extinct unicorns and the pegasi. Sitting on the throne was the one Thor'rak was to see. A Female Deinonychus with feathers black as the night. Her eyes glowed red with the powers she welded. A Powerful witch among all, she was the most powerful Raptor ever. Empress Jezebel Darkfeather, ruler of the Black Claw Empire. “Welcome, Grand General.” she said, her voice as smooth as Silk from Cathy, yet it was as hard as iron. “I have herd your report of the campaign against the Patagonians, I say that you have done well against that nation of sloth-herders.” Thor'rak bowed. “They could not stand up to the might of your soldiers, great one.” he said. Jezebel got up off her throne and walked over to him. “Yes,” she cooed, walking over to the side of the throne, to a fin-backed lizard like animal, a Dimetrodon that she kept as a pet, “The army of the Black Claw is powerful.” she then turned to Thor'rak “Unfortunately, not all commanders are like you. They have not yet captured the Pony Princess.” Thor'rak looked up, “We did capture one of them.” he said, “The Princess Cadence was found in Patagonia, trying to head north into Cascadea and the Rainbow Rebellion.” Jezebel turned to him “Ah, that leaves only one left.” she said. Rumors were that the fourth princess, Twilight Sparkle was dead, but yet some still said she was still alive, hiding from all the world. But Jezebel never believed in rumors. She walked over to one of the windows and looked down. In the city, four hundred slaves, Crystal Ponies. The Crystal Ponies flesh was made of crystal and could not be eaten, so they were made into beasts of burden, slaves for the Empire. “Now these slaves will never have the hope of being saved by their 'goddess'” then she turned, with a scowl on her face. “Unless that Night Princess decides to lead the resistance!” Thor'rak nodded, “We have scouts searching all over Lemuria, she can not escape the continent.” Jezebel turned towards, glaring, “But she could still contact the Ever-free Rebels!” she growled, “I want you to lead the hunt, post a reward of four hundred thousand shells for her capture! Send all your best hunters after her! I want her head.” “and what of our prisoner?” Thor'rak asked. Jezebel smiled. “Leave her to me, I have plans for that pink furred mammal.” Author's Note Now we will not getting the story off the ground and it will only get more exciting once I continue with it. As for the thing about the shells, Shells is the currency used by all Raptor clans around the world. Made of Gold, Silver, Copper, Platinum, Titanium or Iron, they are made to look like seashells.
Chapter Three: The Chase begins the Adventure.Running was the best thing Luna and Sebastian could do, as being chased by Terror Bird Riders, worse was that the birds they were riding were Kelenken, Large terror birds with the largest head of any bird. like all other Terror Birds, they were predators, hunters, and used by the Raptors not only to chase down enemies, but to kill them. Sebastian and Leoa ran as fast as they could. the small Raptor looked behind him and saw the Black Claw Soldiers were gaining on them. One of the soldiers was aiming his Crossbow at Sebastian. Sebastian decided to pull out one of his own weapons, a Revolver, and aimed at the rider. The Black Claw Rider never had a chance as Sebastian fired and hit the rider dead on in the head, Blood spraying all around as he feel down off his mount. One down, four more to go. Sebastian thought to him self as he aimed again at the other riders, shooting at them in hopes that they would decide to retreat. But these riders were not giving up easily, they were in it to the end. Luna her self was hard press to try and escape the riders, knowing they would seek to kill her. Luna looked ahead to see if there was anyway to escape. Soon she saw a low hanging branch sticking out in front of her. She decided to use her magic.Her horn glowed with magic, using it to push the branch back. She ran faster, going past the tree and the branch. She soon broke off the spell and let the Branch go. It slammed into the two riders, knocking them off their Kelenken and knocking them out. Luna smiled for a bit, until a third raptor attacked from the side. The Raptor warrior jumped off his mount and slashed at the Princess of the Moon with his foot claws, cutting into Luna's side. Luna screamed in pain as blood flowed from her wound. Luna unfolded her wing and slammed the Raptor with it, knocking it away from her. Luna soon jumped into the air again, only for her attacker to jump at her and grabbed her tail. Luna soon started kicking at the Raptor, hitting him repeatedly in the skull until she gave one good kick and the sound of his neck breaking gave her the sign that she had killed him. The Raptor's body fell down to the ground with a thud. Luna soon thought that it was safe, only for a crossbow bolt to fly past her, fallowed by another. the two raptors she knocked down were back up and firing at her. Luna decided that she had enough of this and dived down as the two were reloading their weapons. Luna flew fast and struck one of the Black Claw warriors, impaling him through the neck with her horn. Blood sprayed out of the wound, covering Luna's face as he died. Luna shook him off. Suddenly she saw a flash out of the corner of her eye. she had barely enough time to dodge the sword as it slashed at her. Luna soon turned to the other raptor, who was growling before he gave a horrid War Cry and rushed at the Alicorn. Luna soon used her magic, her horn glowing as her magic grabbed a sword rom the raptor she killed and swiftly blocked the sword of the other one. Luna glared at her adversary and then reared up on her hind legs and slashed at the Black Claw Warrior. the two engaged in a duel of swords, slashing and thrusting and parleying each other like experts. Luna was a sword expert and could hold her own and it seemed that this Black Claw Warrior was one as well. Swords clashed, filling the forest with the sound of metal against metal. Soon the Raptor slammed his sword hard against Luna's Sword and knocked it out of her magical grip. Luna was in a jam now, the enemy warrior was now prepared to go in for the kill. Luna decided that it was time to end this. Looking around, she spotted one of the crossbows, already loaded. Thinking fast, Luna kicked out with her front hoofs and knocked the Raptor away. the raptor screamed at Luna with a War Cry, just as Luna Grabbed the crossbow and fired it into his jaws, up into his brain. The Black Claw Warrior died with in seconds of the bolt hitting his brain. Luna panted for a while. She had just killed three Black Claw Raptors, for the first time, she had killed those that hunted her down. It was a shock to Luna. This was the first time she had killed anything. While there were many stories about Luna fighting as a Warrior, killing many of her enemies, those were stories. Even as Nightmare Moon, she never killed anything in her life, save for bugs. Luna stood there, her eyes wide and in fear. She never saw the last raptor sneak near her, aiming it's crossbow at her back. Suddenly, a shot rang out and hit the crossbow, breaking it into pieces. Both the Raptor and Luna turned and saw Sebastian aiming his gun at the Black Claw Warrior. "Trying to shoot a señora in the back, that is dishonorable." He said. the Black Claw Warrior Growled and charged him, kicking out and knocking the gun out of Sebastian's claws. Sebastian ducked from the larger raptor and pulled out his rapier and started fighting the warrior. He was fast, quick on his feet, ducking from the slashes of the Deinonychus. "AH HA!" Sebastian said, thrusting at the Black Claw Warrior, "Your Mother was a ground Sloth, because you are slow!" Sebastian was being pushed back by the larger fighter. Just as he wanted. He was soon near his gun. Blocking a strike from his opponent, he grabbed his weapon and aimed at the head of the Black Claw Warrior . "¡Nos vemos en el infierno!" He said as he shot the warrior in the head. Gray matter and blood flew out everywhere. Luna was watching it all in shock. Soon she finally spoke. "You...you saved me." she said in shock. "Sí, Señora," He said. "That hijo de perra would have shot you in the back, which was very dishonorable." Luna looked at him, then got up. "I did not need your help!" she yelled, "I could have handled him my self!" "Well it did not look like you were going to fight him, standing in shock like that." he said, then he smiled. "I also have a Life Debt with you now!" Luna turned in shock "WHAT!?!" she yelled, confused. "I saved your life, so I am in your debt." Luna could not believe it, she had been saved by a raptor. Raptorpolis The Airship docked at the airship dock, prepared to unload it's cargo. onb the dock, two raptor warriors were talking. "So, what is with this cargo anyway?" one asked. "Don't know," the other said, "I heard that it was found in the ruins of a city." "I heard that Doctor Mengala wanted something from the ruins for the Queen's Plan." the first one said as the cargo was starting to be unloaded. the crates that were being unloaded had a bio-hazard symbol on them with odd words marked on them that said this: Property of the Conversion Bureau Author's Note And Another chapter done.
Chapter Two: Sticking it to the Raptor!The Redwood Forests near the Dragon-spine Mountains, Western Lemuria. The herd had stopped near the edge of the forest. Luna looked around, hoping that she was not spotted by any Imperial Patrols, which she was lucky, no Raptors. The Main Road to Raptorpolis was nearby and Luna knew that the Black Claw army would be watching for her and any of the 'Everfree Rebels' that were fighting the Black Claw. "Well, it looks like this will do." Luna said to her self, looking around at the forest. When The Magi-Apocalypse happened, the lay-lines of Earth struck the land of Equestria hard, plants that were native to Earth's Past and Present started growing in Equestria, starting to Terraform the land into something less like Equestria was before the disaster and more like a part of Earth it self. More like the planet took revenge for our kind trying to take it over. Luna thought grimly. Luna trotted away from the herd, going over to a patch of green grass. So far the Black Claw clan had not started expanding their hunt for her, but that could change. No doubt Jezebel is already sending out her hunters, not the common ones. she thought. the forest was alive with the songs of birds and the cries of forest dinosaurs and mammals. the world seemed like it was enjoying the wonderful weather of this day. the Earth's sun, Sol as it was called by the humans of Pre-Apocylpse Earth, was shining brightly. Luna was more of a Night-pony, but at times she did love going out into the daylight. Grazing on the grass, Luna felt more safe here then in the Open plains, as the Raptors rarely gone into the woods. Luna thought back to the Everfree, where the Castle of the Sisters was. a few days ago, she had meet a herd of Bison, a few of the races in Equestria was was still alive and fighting the Raptors. the news she got was of hope. It appeared that ponies still lived, a group of them had started a rebel army in the Everfree, right next to Raptorpolis, which sat on the ruins of Ponyville it self. But she also remebered the other news. "Many of the Strange Ponies, those called 'new-foals' are being herded up by the lizard-birds and being eaten." the Chief had told her. "They have also captured many of the Crystal ponies and are using them like work animals, same with Diamond Dogs." Luna was still horrified at the thought of not only the Crystal Ponies and the Diamond Dogs being enslaved, but that the New-foals were being used as livestock! Being eaten by those monsters! She had to do something, something to stop the killings. those New-foals were once intelligent beings, Humans that were changed into Ponies, Willingly or unwillingly. She had to save them from the Black Claw and the other Raptor clans. Yet she could not, she was on the run from the Raptors, but she could try and do it, to get the Everfree rebels the help overthrow the Back Claw and free the land from Jezebel and and free the New-foals and Crystal Ponies and all others from their rule. While she was thinking, she felt that something was wrong. the birds had stop singing, like they were scared of something. then she heard the growl behind her. she turned very slowly and then saw it.... It was a feline mammal, large and very deadly. It had golden brown fur and it had two very large fangs, seven inch long fangs. Luna knew what the thing was. The thing was a Saber-toothed Cat, a Smilodon. Worse, it had a saddle, which meant it had a rider somewhere. Luna started to back up, when suddenly, she was tossed into the air. what she did not see was the snare trap that was behind her. She was hanging in the air, on a branch, trapped with a Saber-Tooth Cat looking at her, growling. Then something leapt out of the bushes. "AH HA!" it said as it appeared below her. The creature was a Velociraptor one of the smaller races of Raptors. It had green, blue and yellow feathers with a small crest of blueish-green feathers on it's head, showing that it was a male. around his waist as a belt and in one of his hand-claws was a small rapier, pointed at her. "Ah, I see we caught a del potro señora my pet" he said to the Smilodon. Looking down, he soon saw Luna's Crown, which fell off her head when she got caught in his trap. "Oh, look, a Crown of Obsidian! Very Nice, this will fetch alot of Shells for me." "PUT THAT CROWN DOWN!" Luna yelled, trying to get her left hoof out of the snare trap. "Ah, Sorry señora, but I can and will not for you have just been robbed bu the Greatest bandido in all of Lemurai, for I am Sebastian El Gran Daga!" which that he soon did a small pose. All three turned and saw five Deinonychus warriors, wearing the armor of the Imperial Army, riding deadly terror birds, Kelenken guillermoi, The Riders were armored with crossbows and spears and they were charging for them. "Kill those two Criminals!" the Leader yelled. Luna and Sebastian turned and decided one thing: Run! Sebastian got on Leoa while Luna started galloping. So the Chase began.
