Dear Pinkie,
The first time we meet, I thought you were an annoying idiot. It took a while for me to get to know you. Everyone saw you as the party pony, but you were much more than that. You were a master of hiding your true feelings. Nobody could see through your disguises, not even your closest friends, apart from me.
Even I couldn’t see through your disguise, until I saw your mane deflate. Ever since that fatal day, I looked carefully for signs that you were sad. I eventually started to be able to tell when you were truly happy, and when you were acting happy.
You noticed however and after Twilight became a princess, you started to hang out with me less and less. At first I didn’t notice, but then you hardly spoke to me, acting like I didn’t exist.
It hurt so much, and I had no idea why! I thought that less of your hyper antics would make me happier, but they did the opposite. I was depressed, I wanted the old Pinkie back, where we could prank and hang out together. It was at that moment I realised I loved you. I had no idea where these feelings came from, and I had to admit I was scared.
I had never fallen in love before. It was a new feeling to me. I tried to ignore it, but that didn’t work. I had to do something! It was taking over me, every time i saw you I felt like my heart was going to explode right then and there. Every time you ignored me I felt like you had ripped my heart out of my chest and stamped on it.
I have to admit what I did next wasn’t wise.
I went down to Sugar Cube Corner and demanded to speak to you. You bounced down the stairs a vision of beauty. You acted normal, at least normal for you. You asked what was up, and without thinking I kissed you. For one single second, I swear to Celestia you kissed me back, but then you pushed me back, started crying and ran up to your room.
I went back home, angry. I blamed you, I blamed everyone, and I blamed me. I went to sleep that night in tears.
The next day I heard a knock at the door. I thought it was Fluttershy, so I got up, preparing my excuses on why I couldn’t go out right now, and opened the door.
It wasn’t Fluttershy, it was you! I stood at the door, mouth ajar. You then jumped onto me, giving me one of the biggest hugs I have ever gotten. You apologised, saying you were so sorry. You started to kiss me, and I was never so happy in my life.
We were together for 5 months.
We broke up because of a massive fight. I can’t remember how it started, but before we knew it insults were thrown at each other, and we decided it would be best to be apart.
We couldn’t even look at each other anymore and it hurt so much! I still loved you, just my pride got in the way of me telling you that.
The break up was difficult on our friends too. We couldn’t hang out all together like we used too. It was too difficult.
We did start talking to each other eventually. It wasn’t the same though. We would mutter a few sentences to each other and that was it! I missed you, I missed us.
Boy, did I feather everything up though.
I remember the day; I had finally gotten the letter from the Wonderbolts. I was so excited; I couldn’t wait to tell all of you.
We had a picnic that day, and it was almost like the good old days. Everyone was happy.
Then I told everyone about the letter. Everyone was excited for me, except you.
I didn’t even notice, I was too wrapped up in the excitement of finally joining the Wonderbolts!
When I finally found out, it was too late.
I got the news when I was in Manehattan. Twilight sent me a letter, saying that you had been missing for 2 weeks. I felt like my whole world had been split in two.
Nobody knew where you were. They had checked all around Ponyville. They checked back at the Rock Farm, but you weren’t there.
As soon as I got there, your body was found.
You had thrown yourself off a cliff in the forest. It was suicide; it couldn’t have been anything else.
I knew it was my fault, it had to be, and it is the worst feeling I have had ever.
Everyone tried comforting me, saying it wasn't my fault. But it was! If I had stayed then this would have never of happened. If only I said what I truly felt to you. I was an idiot. I shouldn't of let my pride get the better of me, and now you're dead.
But Pinkie, even though you’re dead, I have to say this. I love you. I was too scared to say it and it’s too late now, but remember I
will always love you. I miss you and need you but most of all I love you!

Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash walked up to a single grave on a hill. The grave was simple, however it was covered with flowers and balloons. The grave itself was engraved with three balloons and on it, it said " Here lies Pinkimena Diane Pie; The bestest party pony around. Twilight complained about bestest not being a word, but she was quickly hushed.
Rainbow Dash left a letter on the grave. Tears streamed down her face, as she mouthed sorry, over and over. She kissed the grave, then left. Flying away to somewhere past the clouds.
