The Everfree

"Come on Scion, we're not getting anywhere at that speed!"
At this point both Scion and Joseph have been wandering for about 2 hours and quickly losing there sense of direction as well as time.
"Ugh! Where is your stupid hat!?"
The Everfree was beginning to get very dark almost to a point of blindness.
"Even if we ran across it we couldn't see it without a light."
*Crack*
A small glow was emitting in front of Joseph.
"Brought some glow sticks from Pinkies."
"Of course you did... wanna toss me one?"
*Crack*
Although it was very dim compared to the rest of the forest it might as well be a flood light. After about 20 more minutes of searching.
"I found it!"
Scion hurried over to Joseph
"All of this just for a gray beanie with a pony on it."
"Hey! Not just anypony, it's Derpy everyone loves Derpy!"
"Don't know who that is... and don't really care!" Scion replied coldly
"Of course you don't, well lets get out of here...oh"
even though it was only a few hours in the afternoon the forest was so dense that the only visible light was Joseph and Scions' Glow sticks.
"Oh great now were lost...whats that sound?"
Both Joseph and Scion were beginning to hear rustling in the forest.
"Probably just some rabbits or something,"
Scion waved off the sound but Joseph knew better.
"Scion rabbits don't come out this far only a few things do and I think we just got trapped by some!" Joseph said, his voice slightly panicked,
The rustling began to come from every direction and green eyes were appearing in the darkness of the forest.
"Oh.."
Scion was backing away slowly from them,
"Any plans Scion?" Joseph whined, obviously scared,
"Why are you asking me?" He whispered back, "This was YOUR idea!"
Even though Scion wanted Joseph to, he made a plan in his head and ran through most of scenarios. But only one idea would even have a chance to work since he didn't know what was in those bushes, he grabbed Joseph's and his own glow stick a chucked them at the things in the bushes. The two boy's eyes were visible in the darkness and Joseph's black ones were glaring at Scion's,
"Why did you just-"
As soon as Joseph saw the creatures in the soon disappearing light, he instantly recognized them.
"Scion those are timberwolves!" He said, now his eyes were glowing white, while widened,
"And what are those?" Scion asked a simple question with his glowing eyes glaring ahead, but either way he guessed a Timberwolf was something with wolves and wood,
"Well just as the name suggest wolves made out of wood but they're just as bad as real wolves."
"And just as the situation would suggest, you need to be quiet so we can escape..."
That got Joseph to go silent very quickly. Both Scion and Joseph began to quietly sneak away while the Timberwolves where still busy with the glow stick, but needless to say that didn't last very long as the Timberwolves began to turn back to the duo as they made a break for it. A problem soon became very clear after the first few seconds.
"I know that throwing the glow sticks was a good escape strategy, but how are we suppose to get of here?" Joseph suddenly whined,
"Look I know it's hard to see..." Scion said, trying not yell at his friend, "But isn't it better than fighting those Timberwolf things right? Besides, now that they're distracted, we have more time to figure out the path..."
"Yeah I guess so.... If we could actually see a path!" Joseph cried, earning a sigh from Scion for two reasons,
"First, the idiot forgets to lower his voice and second, still forgets we took multiple paths..."
while feeling around so he didn't bump into any trees, which this place was covered in, Scion continued to lead. For minutes, they trekked forward with thoughts their diversion wasn't going to last. Once they heard rustling bushes behind them, growling and footsteps echoing behind them. The teens quickened their pace. Continuing through the darkness. Eventually they found some light, a few seconds after a sign with the pony equivalent of a skull and crossbones was visible.
"Finally!" Joseph cried, "We made it to the entrance...Well exit now but still we made it!"
"Well....now that's over..." Scion started, "Any other plans that can lead to disaster?"
"Hmm..."
Joseph began to think of something else to do when he began to here a vibrating sound.
"Hey whats that?"
He looked around for a second when a thought came to his mind. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
"Hey look I can't believe this made it..Actually I can't believe I forgot about it up until now."
the Phone was vibrating telling him it was almost dead and while it may have been counter productive it did it's job warning him of what would happen if it didn't get plugged in soon.
"Oh crap it's almost dead. know a place with an outlet?...and a charger?"
"No now that you mention i didn't see any outlets whatsoever but maybe i wasn't paying attention very much."
At those word Joseph facepalmed as he just remembered a very important fact.
"Ugh I forgot everything runs on magic here there is no electricity. Wait maybe I can get Twilight to help me out TO THE LIBRARY!"
Joseph broke into a run...in the wrong direction.
"The other way!"
"Right!"
As Joseph corrected his direction Scion started to run after him because the last thing he needs is to be lost in a town full of talking ponies.
--------Outside The Library--------
Scion noticed that Joseph stopped in his tracks a little ways outside the library looking at something in the sky.
"Oh crap..."
"What?"
"I forgot something again."
"What is it this time?"
"We have a meeting with her majesty."
Scion completely forgot about that.
