Hours before
After walking through the forest after my scuffle with the guards, I started to stretch out my muscles, looking for the entrance to my hideout. After hearing the satisfying pops in my shoulders, I saw a tree bearing my own little symbol burned into it. A black heart that looks like it was made fire. I picked off the small boulder next to the tree and revealed a small lever. I pulled it and heard the gears groan and turn around me, the tree with my symbol on it unlocked to reveal a hatch. Even after all this time, I still get amazed at how this all worked. I have to thank Tech...no for making this for me... I said quietly in my mind, my fists started to clench in anger. He was one of my only friends when I came to Equestria, he gave me everything I had lost before I cam here. I cleared these unwanted thoughts from my head, as they would cloud my mind as I would fight. I went through and stepped down the staircase, on my way I start to remember the good times we had with the others, No NO, got to keep my head in the game. I reminded myself. I flick on the lights and the whole place was flooded with crystallized lights. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, most of the important things were covered with a tarp and caked with layers of dust. Crystals of different colors
I walk over to my trusty workbench and pulled its tarp off and gazed at the sight before me, left were sets of the experimental ammunition and a box written, 'To Leon'. Inside was Hammer Space, a virtually unlimited spaced contraption, I remember that Techno was working on it before I left. As I placed it on my back, I a lecture from Techno played in my head. '
Now Leon, when you come back, make sure you don't let anything wrong happen to it. Who knows what would happen if it fell into the wrong hands.
He gave me a serious face as I tried my best not to laugh, before he started laughing uncontrollably. I couldn't hold it and we laughed together. As we finished, we had tears in our eyes and I gave him a hug. A manly one at that too.' I thanked him silently in my head as I walked over to one of the chests next to the bench and opened it. Inside were two of my original sets of ammunition, both on their respective sides. I picked up the Gold and orange with red tips, and loaded them inside right now. I picked up the red with gold tipped ammo and placed them in Hammer Space, to use in the actual battle. Satisfied with the current count, I walk over to a similar chest on the opposite side and flipped it open, I picked up three red crystals, similar to the ones on the walls, and I inspected them. Once I made sure there were no cracks or dents, I placed two in Hammer Space and one on my person.
I was pretty sure that I didn't leave anything of use, I walked over to another tarp. This one was facing a slope that ran into the ceiling though. I pulled off the tarp and gazed at my pride and joy, other than my Ember Celica of course. Bumble Bee still had its shine and color, my yellow and black theme. I checked how much power it had and it seemed more than a half, not being satisfied by this, I walked over to the crystal box and pulled out a vial of crushed white crystal. I head back over to Bumble Bee and poured it into the fuel tank. The gauge, not being completely full, was satisfying enough. I placed on my matching helmet and goggles with my crest on it and started the engine. Despite not being used for centuries, it still ran fine and responded with purrs. I flipped the switch on the wall and the ceiling with the slope moved backwards, into the cave. I ran my engine out of there and roared into the forest.
Time passed in the forest as I moved to and fro to avoid rocks, branches, holes, or anything that would impair my movement. The light passing through the openings in the trees. I soon saw a bigger opening in through the branches, I payed no heed to it but something pink caught my eye overhead. I stopped and reversed to check it out and it looked as what I thought I saw, a fluffy pink cloud raining something brown, thick, and smelled like chocolate. I leaned my hand in for the drops to start filling a little and inspected it closer. I tasted it, and it tasted, not surprisingly, like chocolate. Perplexed by this, I just marked it down in another way Sun Butt screwed up.
I continued down a path that I thought would lead me to some point that could tell me where the train to Canterlot was. I felt a rumbling underneath my bike and I stopped again to see...white deer? No they have a body of, what looked like, a rabbit like body but with long legs. "What the fuck has Celestia been doing to these animals?" I yelled to no one in particular. My heightened senses told me that someone was watching me, it felt smaller than Celestia, so I settled down and told myself it was just a bigger version of those deer-bunny monstrosities. And opening came through the dense forest and a village came into view. Now the term 'village' is being used lenient here, for the houses were floating meters high in the air while upside down. The roads looked like they were made and people were walking as if it was any normal day.
I felt that thing creep up on me and felt the need to confront it. I drove over to a big hill and parked my bike on the other side and got out to get ready for it. I felt it, flapping? I guess it wasn't another one of those bunnies. Unless some of them had grown wings... I shivered at the thought. Refocusing, I felt it coming around the bend, I jumped out, head butted with my helmet, grabbed it, and pinned it against the tree. Threatening to break its...bat wings? I took a closer look at it and saw that it was a bat pony and had feminine curves, and I was currently pressing against her back. I, being the gentleman that I am, eased up on the pressure. She spoke in a soothing voice, "Get. the buck. off of me." I pulled off of her, took off my helmet and watched her sit down. I started to talk, "Now why did you start following me? If I had deemed you as a bigger problem, then you would get more than that small hold." I finished with a smirk. I took more notice of her features. A dark grey fur coat, jet black hair with red streaks going through some parts and a short matching tail, small fangs, a cutie mark of a flame with a crescent moon behind it, pointy ears with a tuft of fur at the tip, and a black choker around her neck. But what really amazed me, was her dark red eyes.
"It's not everyday that you see somepony riding a strange contraption. You seemed to have some sense of style which meant that you had enough intelligence to communicate." She caught my gaze and smirked, showing her cute little fangs. "The name's Flaring Moonlight, now would you mind telling me yours?" Caught off by her question, I felt another, smaller, presence nearby. Standing in a fighting position, I flicked my bracelets into their gauntlet form and aimed towards the presence. The Flare jumped up and pulled my arm causing me to push her down and I got back into position, ready to shoot off a charge. Alarmed by this she said, "Wait! Come out Grace so he won't hurt anypony." A small bat filly leaned out of her tree cover and stared at me. I calmed down and lowered my arms, the gauntlets returning into bracelets. I kept a wary look around and used my senses to check our surroundings. Either there was some more small fillies or just the forest creatures. I lowered my guard for the girls to ease up, the filly, who I assumed was Grace, walked towards Flare and nuzzled her.
Seeing this made me feel a bit bad, so I said, "Sorry about that, I was...gone for a long time in a hostile world and I always kept my guard up." I finished with a faint smile as I rubbed the back of my head. It seemed like it worked, the girls stopped being so tense and I thought I should break the ice. "So Flare, I will answer the question you asked earlier if you tell me the little filly's name." I said with a smile. The filly took a few steps forward and spoke in a soft voice, "I-I am G-Graceful Moonlight, s-sir." If I didn't use my aura I wouldn't have heard her. I bent down and put my hand on her head, she pulled back a little but stopped when I started petting her, and I then scratched behind her ears. Which she settled down and nudge against my hand, requesting more. I smiled at her and noticed that Flare was looking at me. I sat down in front of Flare, Grace sat along with me and nudge my hand to keep petting her. "Now Flare, I'm sure you have a reason to follow me and take a filly along. Why don't you tell me what happened?" Most of the anger that I felt towards Celestia died off a little, maybe finding these two was a good thing. Flares face tensed up at the question. "Only if you tell me your name like you said." She finished with a smirk. I thought about it and came up with a perfect name, "Yang, Yang Xiao Long. Now on with the story." Meh, Celestia can wait and deal with her own problems for now. I thought mentally.
Author's Note
Okay, so I thought about a few things going with my story and I think I might drop a few tags here and there, might add a few things and even change the story a bit to suit my liking. Sorry if I angered or annoyed any of you. I'm looking at YOU 'INGLORIOUS ANON'. Again, I apologize but I think that I would like the story a bit better this way. Who knows, maybe I would even drop the LoHAV group tag.
