Little Sun-Dragon in Equestria
Chapter 4: Finally some action

I zoomed in with my binoculars to take a gander at the creature. I saw the creature who appeared in a ball of bright, white light, threw his head back in what appeared to be a laugh, and all in a crash of lightning that also appeared out of no where. Further observations showed that it had mixed matched body parts of other creatures that lived in this world, the only thing that I could think of was a chimera, finish talking to the six ponies and blinked away into a flash of light, although I could not tell where he went to, something about the thing was also itching at the back of my mind. Something that had to do with me and an...old friend? I shrugged it off and focused my attention back to the ones left behind. The remaining six ran into the labyrinth. Feeling that redemption from my captor and also express my gratitude to my rescuer was needed, I packed away my binoculars into Hammer Space and placed my helmet back on. I revved up the engine on Bumble Bee and zoomed downward in a black and yellow blur.
I found the train tracks and hoped to whatever god that was willing to help me, to not place a train at the end of the tracks. I follow the track and it led through a small mountain and I peered behind it and gulped. The train tracks were leading upward alright, only that they were being supported by beams upright and connected each beam by several other beams crossing over in a X fashion. To put it bluntly, I was worried that going too fast at these bends could send me straight into the mountain side. But then I shrugged it off and blasted through, using the rails as guidelines. I don’t know why, but a thought struck me in my head. I accelerated more onto the tracks, the thought controlling everything.
I decided to take a more scenic route and drive off the first bend of the tracks. While I flew off, I tilted Bumble Bee back to help with the angle I am falling at onto the mountain side. I landed onto the side and felt myself falling back down, revving the engine as hard as a I could and slowly ascended upward, turning to the left so I could head towards the castle.
I immediately regretted the decision and started to fall back down the mountain at a weird angle. I thought, ‘Fuck it!’ I turned the bike to the ground and drove faster, back towards the entrance of the smaller mountain tunnel. “Well shit, this played out WAY better in my head.” I said, groaning, I stopped the bike at the mouth of the tunnel “I just hope no one, especially Celestia, heard that huge failure and removed my element of surprise.”
As I said this, a train ran through the entrance of the bigger mountain tunnel behind the smaller one and I was forced to drive off the small, one way train tracks once more. Thankfully, due to Bumble Bee’s internal gyro-stabilization, the bike remained upright instead of rolling over and throwing me off, hitting the ground with an ‘Oof’. I got off and threw down my helmet and goggles and yelled, “OH COME ON!” I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to calm myself down, which was doing its job. I finished calming down and sighed, “The universe hates me, doesn’t it. It would make sense to that, since I spent about a century imprisoned in stone, with a cramp in my neck no less.” I said to no one in particular. I recovered my goggles and helmet and placed them back on, hopped on Bumble Bee and for went for a ‘Thirds the Charm’ idea.
As I was making the estimated halfway mark and I was thinking. ‘That train was heading right for me, how do they turn back around to go BACK to Canterlot?’ I shrugged it off that it might have to do with several tracks that could split off into another track at an intersection. I finally make it around the top and I noticed for the first time in a hundred years, how the population and city of Canterlot grew. In fact, was there ever even a damn train leading here?
As these thoughts racked my brain, a few things brought me out of those thoughts. Screams of stallions and mares coming from the city. I looked around for the reason for the screams and after hearing a mare call for help because of a small, hairless, minotaur, I facepalmed myself for being so ignorant.
“Help, guards, GUARDS! Monster on the LOOSE!” The mare said, repeating several times
This put even more people into a mass frenzy, running around screaming, diving to get to cover. All the while I am shutting my eyes with a palm hitting repeatedly against my head. I soon heard the clanking and jingling which I was guessing was from the guards armor and weapons marching towards my location. I looked up to see if my guess was correct and for one of the few times, I was right! A pegasus wearing armor was flying overhead and dashed off when our eyes met. This brought a grin to my face, like a child who got a toy they wanted for years. Since I just wanted to have a fight with them and not slaughter them completely, I threw Ember Celica into gauntlet mode and I made sure that my shell casings were orange-gold with red rims. I looked around to my surroundings to make sure that no surprise attacks from buildings or roofs. I saw a few elevated houses and businesses around as well as the tracks behind me. I drove from there and sped towards a section of the city that had stalls set up with food, tools, trinkets and clothing. I spotted a mass of crates piling up on each other and I parked Bumble Bee in an alleyway not to far from the stack of crates. I walked towards it, grabbing an apple from a nearby stall and taking a bite out of it and barely realising that I haven’t eaten since I got out, early morning. I held a free hand out to the crates to check if it would fall for what I would be doing next. Sensing that they were all full of things, I took several leaps up, eventually hitting the top and lied down. I closed my eyes and rested until it was time.
Perspective: Canterlot Guards
We barely got reports coming in about loud noises emerging from the base of the mountain that sounded like a manticore roaring. It wasn’t soon after that we got another report that a mysterious, small, hairless and hornless minotaur came in at from the Canterlot train station. Shining Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard, sent out a pegasus to scout the unknown minotaur while the rest of us equipped our armor and gear. He looked like he was in pain, but was trying hard to hide it. We recall that he had a small fight with Princess Cadence, his marefriend. He shook himself, as if that would changed whatever he was thinking. He ordered us to fall out to the front of the barracks to wait for intel. The last pony marched out of the barracks when the scout came back with his report. “Sir, It was just like the earlier reports said, ‘A small, about third the size of a full grown minotaur, hairless minotaur, although I saw no horns,’ Sir! ”. Shining Armor ordered a few other non-unicorns went back to grab cattle-prods, a joke among the guards for a stun baton, a non-lethal rod that generates electricity at the end of it. The platoons formed back up, there were 3 platoons in total, we all knew the dangers of a berserking minotaur, even a runt like this one, who was obviously thrown out of the herd until he could prove himself. Looks like this one got more than he could chew.
We marched out through the streets, multiple scouts returned reporting that the minotaur was in the trading district. We double timed to the location, the scout leading the way. When we first saw the minotaur, one of the guards dropped his spear and quickly recovered it before an officer could say something. The minotaur was lying on a pile of crates, finishing off an apple that he most likely stole, Shining Armor made a small remark about petty theft being added to his crimes. He stepped forward and addressed the beast.
“Unidentified creature, you have disturbed the peace of this city and you must leave, if not, we will do it by force.” Shining Armor announced from a megaphone supported by his magic. That was what we expected to hear, what we DIDN’T expect was the reply by the creature. He was now up and was swinging his free leg off the edge of the pyramid of crates while tapping his finger against his chin, as if he was thinking.
“Was this REALLY all the Celestial Sun Butt could send me? I guess this will have to do,” His voice rose to address us all. “I refuse! if you want me out of this city, you are going to have to drag me out with a body bag! Get some for your buddies as well!” The beast called from his point on top of the crates. He threw down the now eaten apple core and it landed in the ranks of guards. We could sense Shining Armor and a few other cadets get infuriated by the creature’s remark about our celestial princess, although few had the willpower to bottle it in. A Royal Guard should never show emotions on duty. Shining Armor spoke once more, but this time he had concealed rage and poison in his voice, “Very well beast, you have made your choice, “ He turned back towards the three platoons and shout out an order, “Men, this creature has insulted our princess and has disrupted the public. You have orders to attack and incapacitate IT. We want this creature in for questioning, so capture it if possible. If it is too dangerous, you have orders to use deadly force. Platoon sergeants, you have your orders!” He salutes the three stallions and turns back towards the beast. The first two platoon sergeants marched forward and gave us similar orders to what Shining Armor gave us. The last platoon met up with the other two and we marched over to it. When we got in range of the crates, he smirked pulled a rectangular device from a pocket, fiddled with it and set it on top of the crates with music playing from it, “Now, in the name of one of the most inspirational people I know,“ People? What in the name of Tartarus are they? The creature adopted a look that could kill and spoke with confidence, “Great, the gang’s all here! Now you can all die TOGETHER!” The music started to turn up beat and we heard it say, ‘Gold’ and with that he jumped high off the crates.
Perspective: Me
I hit a song on the iPod and set it to a song suited for this. I Burn, but this time, I played the original version. I skipped ahead a bit to make sure I got my cue right. Satisfied, I addressed my new punching bags “Great, the gang’s all here! Now you can all die TOGETHER!” I heard the song scratch off and the lyrics sang, ‘Gold’ and that was my cue. With that, I jumped off the crates and pulled off one of the original Yang’s moves. I did a flip while activating my semblance in midair and dived downward to the most dense area. I slammed onto the ground and the cobblestone below me rippled as if it were water, the guards in the area were propelled away and the area around me engulfed in fire as I stood up, smirking at them.
A few were hesitant or too dazed to attack me, so I had to make the first move. I dashed forward and caught one of them by their throat and flung them towards another guard. Then they finally shook the fear out and lunged at me. My aura caught a guard rushing to be from behind and and one in front, I shot off a round towards the one in front of me and I used the kickback to propel my elbow into the guard’s helmet, causing a dent and the guard’s eyes rolled back. I smirked and I caught a guard swinging at me with a stun baton, he swung the metal rod but I reflected it off my gauntlets and brought him up into an uppercut and shot him towards a stand, it crumbled at the force and body on top. I flipped up and swung my leg down to another guard, making him bounce off the hard cobblestone and I shot him towards a group of guards getting back up. I noticed a guard to my right, charging in with a sword. I swung low, bringing my arm back up for another uppercut and used the force bringing me up to kick a guard next to him. I bounced off guard to guard, using each impact to boost me off to another. I felt blood that wasn’t mine, trickle off my fingers, down my gloves and onto my wrists. I felt an increased high from this, the ecstasy was incredible. The feeling was making my semblance turn back on without me ordering it to. Each punch that I delivered was now engulfed in flames, burning the spots where their armor didn’t cover. My vision was starting to turn red as the fire danced around my hair and gauntlets, more and more guards were being hesitant in charging me. I lunged at the guard closest to me and furthest away from the groups and lifted him up by his throat. This one was special, he was the one who ordered commands to take me or kill me if they needed to. That started to make me heat up even more. I used more and more force on his throat and I could see the fear in his eyes, added to that that the ponies around us weren’t charging in to save their precious commander. Their commander was squirming from my hold, I brought up my free hand and was about to use the full force of my punch on him. Only one thing was repeating in my mind, ‘Kill him, he is not worthy of living. Kill HIM. KILL HIM. MAKE HIM SUFFER!’ Make him suffer? YES, he will feel the pain even after he is dead! I thrust my fist forward, but one thing stopped me, “Please stop. *grunt* I need to at least say I’m sorry to my marefriend. I need to redeem myself. I need to *grunt* say sorry *grunt* for hurting her.” The pony fell silent after this.
That stopped me in my tracks, my fist was trembling, inches away from his temple. With ease, I threw him back towards his group, falling like a rag doll. I felt my inner consciences battling with each other. I let out a roar in pain, it felt like my mind was being split into two. The color of my surroundings were returning back to normal, the red was disappearing. Then I felt a more physical pain, electricity jolting through my body. I strained my face to where the attack was coming from and saw a guard, one of the youngest of the groups around me. That fact meant nothing to me, I used full force on his ribs, shattering the armor on it. I turned to where I launched him and saw blood coming out of a battered body on top of a stand. Turning around to view my surroundings, I saw several houses were on fire due to my own. I ran quickly towards the alleyway where I placed Bumble Bee, I hopped on without anything else and sped off towards the castle grounds.
‘This was NOT suppose to happen!’ Thoughts raced in my mind as I sped along the streets, ‘Why did I go berserk, I killed a pony and almost killed another!’ Tears were streaming down my face, ‘I am glad what that pony said brought me out of my rage. What he said must have triggered something in my memories, but what?’ The memory from long ago hit me, “Stop, Yellow! You’re HURTING HER! Please stop hurting P**a*is!” ‘The voice sounded feminine, who is she and who was that last one? Why can’t I remember!’ I shut my eyes in pain as I tried to remember, I didn’t even see the castle until I hit the steps. Hitting them threw me off the bike and I was forced into a statue. I opened my eyes and stared at it, tears trickled onto my clothes as I knew who that pony was. I reached out with one hand and placed it on her stone neck, “Py-Pyralis?” I remembered that she was the one I was hurting, but I couldn’t understand why I did it or where I was. “Di-Did I do this? I’m sorry, but I can’t remember why. I’m just...sorry.” I had to make things right, I shuffled over to Bumble Bee and I heard more jingling of the guards armor. I looked to my right and I saw a huge portion of a garden with a maze. ‘If I could move some of the hedges, I could conceal myself inside.’ I drove over to it, and picked up Bumble Bee so that it doesn’t make marks as I drive over it.
I walked a decent amount inside the maze before I closed off the area I went in originally, of course. I found a dead end and it was good enough, I placed Bumble Bee inside and walked out to seal it. I walked a decent amount away from my hiding spot to not arouse suspicion and pulled one of the hedges off and fashioned it into a camouflaged tarp to place on top and pulled out another one of the hedges to close it off. I walked back and made the adjustments. Satisfied, I lied down on the grass, feeling exhausted and the blood on me started to dry out. I clenched my fist and punched the ground, then I felt the rage leave me and I felt my eyes closing. ‘A little sleep couldn’t hurt.’
Author's Note
Well I finally finished this. I decided to try using Google Docs to help write this, didn't really make this easier or harder. But I finished none the less, with 3000 words that only took *Looks at calender* ...Exactly a month from the last one. Wow, I can't believe I spend a damn month writing just ONE of these crappy chapters that aren't even that long. I have no excuses other than multiple changes in the story as well as complete laziness. It isn't easy writing a good story, well for me at least. There are those natural born writers like Thadius or Sketchy.
Like I've said before, I could use help with this story in any shape or form. Even a favorite or like would be enough.
Anyway! Thanks for reading and I hope I can make the next chapter before next month.
