"Come on Red, open the door, we gotta talk." says Wind Breaker.
I was lying in my bed looking at the ceiling. It was two weeks after I caught my marefriend making out with some random stallion in front of her house. I didn't want to be bothered so I just tried to ignore Wind.
"Okay Red if you don't open this door then I'm breaking it down." he says in a threatening voice.
"Not happening." I says as I get up and walk over to the door.
I heard him walk away from the door and one minute later I heard him flapping his wings. I didn't really think he was really gonna try to break down the door. I waited until I could hear that he was close enough to the door and threw it open. Two seconds later a light blue pegasus with a black mane and tail crashes into my nightstand. I helped him get up with a chuckle.
"Here." he says as he hands me a sheet of paper.
I gave the paper a quick skim and looked at Wind with a serious face. "Okay why are we being evicted?" I ask. He gave a sly smile. Great he did the one thing I told him not to do. "You just couldn't leave the landlord alone ,could you?" I say a little pissed. I had to admit that our landlord did look pretty hot but I knew not to mess with her because I didn't want to get kicked out.
"Okay bro pack your things we're moving somewhere far from Manehattan." he says in a cheerful voice. "I've got two places to choose from," he says handing another paper with two names on it.
Ponyville or Cloudsdale.
"Ponyville." I say tossing the paper.
There was a reason why I didn't want to go to Cloudsdale. My mom was a Wonderbolt. She was pretty good at her job too, even though she wasn't the best on the team. She passed away saving somepony in a storm. I didn't want to go because I didn't want to get pity from the other team members children. I was friends with one of them, but we didn't talk much.
"Um, okay." Wind says a little confused.
"Before we go, we both have to agree on something." I say.
"What's that?"
"For one you can't go fooling around with anyone unless that's what they want."
"Wha- fine. What do you have to do?"
"I'll promise to forget about the things that happened in Manehattan and MAYBE find another marefriend." once I finished he gave me a big smile.
"Deal."
"Okay I'll pack and meet you at the train station." I say grabbing my saddlebags.
Since all the furniture belonged to the house I only packed all the bits I had, some pictures of my parents and my phone. I brushed my mane but it didn't really help since my red and black striped hair was naturally messy. After locking up the apartment I quickly flew down to the office. Standing there was a rather upset looking mare that was my landlord. I gave her the keys and flew to the train station. Wind and I boarded the train to Ponyville and fell asleep on the way there.

After the long train ride and pretty good nap (if my back didn't hurt so much) I took a good look around to see our new home. Wind was pretty happy and so was I because I've always wondered what it was like to live in a small town like this.
Ha. Wind if you try anything, everyone in town is going to know about it.
"So wait, where was this house you where talking about?" I asked Wind as we flew through town.
Wind told me that his dad owned a house here and that we could have it since he was living in Cloudsdale. I think the thing that got me most excited was that I didn't have to pay for a place to live.
"Here we are." Wind says as he descends to the house. I quickly follow behind him. Once we got inside I walked to the couch and set my stuff down. "Pretty nice place. We have everything we need here." he says with a smile.
"I call the master bedroom."I say getting up. I go inside the room and hop onto the bed.
"Fine, but only since you payed for the last place we stayed at." he says standing in the doorway. "Alright you done getting comfortable because I think that we should look for a place to eat." he said as he walked away.
Now that I thought about it I was really hungry. I got up and grabbed a few bits and we both headed out the door. Looking for someplace to eat was actually pretty easy. We found ourselves in front of a building that was made out of candy. The sign next to the door said Sugar Cube Corner. I looked at Wind and he looked okay with it. I was the one that had a sweet tooth so I was okay with the place we came across.
"Dude I'm way too hungry to argue with you about this place." Wind said. Like I said he wasn't the one with the sweet tooth but I knew what he was talking about.
We walked through the door to meet a pink mare with a puffy pink mane. She seemed energetic like she was hopped up on cider. I asked her for a few cupcakes. Once she gave them to use she said something about a party but I kind of just ignored that part.
"So what do think of this place?" Wind asked smiling at me.
"Well the ponies we've met so far are questionable but the food is good, if you can call cupcakes food." I say finishing my last cupcake.
I hear the bell to the shop door ring and I turn my head to see who it was. It was two ponies that had entered the shop one was a purple alicorn and the other was a cyan mare with a rainbow mane and tail.
"Look Rainbow all Pinkie said is that there was two new ponies in town and we, oh." the alicorn was looking at us. "Hello." was all she could say.
"Hi." Wind said in response. The two mares take a seat at our table.
"So you two are the new pegasi that will be living here, right." the alicorn said.
"Yea, I'm Red Bolt and this is my friend Wind Breaker." I say.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle and this is Rainbow Dash." she said.
Rainbow Dash had a puzzled look on her face like she was trying to remember something. I just ignored it and asked Twilight a question I had on my mind since we got here.
"Hey quick question, are there any jobs available for us here, we don't exactly have tons of bits with us." I say.
Rainbow was quick to answer. "There's a spot on the weather team."
"That's cool." I say. I was the one who worked, Wind just got money from his parents but I worked better without him around anyway.
"Well you guys may want to get back to your house now so we won't keep you any longer." Twilight says.
Author's Note
This is my first story so I'd love to here what you guys have to say.
Wind and I walked home with the two mares we had met at Sugar Cube Corner. I asked why they wanted to come with us, but they just said they wanted to see where we lived. I didn’t buy it but I think Wind thought some pretty sexual things when they told us that. Once we got to the house I looked at the windows.
“Did we close the blinds?” I ask Wind.
“No, at least I don’t remember us doing that.” Wind responded.
I open the door and reached for the lights. As I switched them on a bunch of ponies jumped out and screamed “SURPRISE.” I jumped back a bit. I recomposed myself and looked to my right where Wind should have been. He got so scared that he flew up to the roof. Rainbow and I busted out laughing.
“Guess we were too surprising, huh? says Pinkie.
“So why the party Pinkie?” I ask. I should have seen this coming but I chose to ignore it. Aw well.
“She throws parties for every new pony that comes to Ponyville.” a white unicorn with a purple mane says.
“Uh thanks Pinkie.” Wind says still a bit shaken.
Wind was never good with surprises. It was kinda weird really, but who was I to question what scared him? Twilight introduced us to all her friends and pretty much talked about all the adventures they had. One story really surprised me. It was the one when Rainbow helped out Daring Doo. I’ve met Daring before when I was younger. I was at the Gala with my mom. She didn’t seem like the type of pony that would accept help which was why I was surprised. Since the house wasn’t all that big we moved the party outside but some stayed inside. I decided to try and chat with some of the towns ponies to have a little fun. I got up and headed over to the DJ. She was with Pinkie and kinda seemed upset. I couldn’t really tell though because she was wearing a pair of purple shades.
“For the last time Pinkie, I don’t want a cupcake.” the mare said.
“Hey Pinkie, Twilight wanted to talk to you for a bit.” I say walking up to them. I was guessing by the way the DJ was looking at Pinkie that she was the last pony she wanted near her turntables.
“Okay.” Pinkie said and bounced away.
“Thanks, so what’cha need?”
“Huh, oh I just wanted to check out the sound system.” I say taking a place behind the turntables.
“That’s cool I’m Vinyl Scratch by the way.”
“Red Bolt. So how high can the bass on this thing get?” I ask with a smile.
She gave me a smile and cranked up the bass to max power. I didn’t play an instrument but I knew a little about music. The pony I listened to the most was a stallion named Neon Lights. He was really well known in Manehattan and I always enjoyed dubstep. After a little chatting with Vinyl about Neon and some concerts I headed over to the punch table to get a drink. I finished drinking a cup and then looked over to see Wind talking up some mint colored mare.
Trying to get some mares already I see. I hope you still remember our deal.
I was about to walk over but was stopped by Rainbow.
“So, how’s the party?” she asks.
“Huh, that’s weird.”
“What, is there something on my face?”
“No but there is something right here.” I say putting a hoof on her chest.
She looks down and I give her nose a quick flick. I started to laugh and looked at Rainbow. She punched me in the shoulder pretty hard.
“Not funny.” Rainbow says scowling me.
“Ah I’m sorry it had to be done.” I say chuckling.
“You didn’t answer my question.”
“It’s really fun actually. The only welcome you get in Manehattan is somepony bumping into you.”
“Hey why don’t you and I have a few drinks?” Rainbow says holding a bottle of cider to me.
“Sure. I hope you don’t get drunk fast.” I say pouring out some punch from two cups.
The rest of the night seemed to go by slowly but it was getting hard to stay awake from the drinking with Rainbow. Somewhere along the line I passed out in lawn. When I woke up there were ponies all over my yard asleep. I get up and look at the time on my phone. It said 9:24 on the screen. I wanted to get a better view of the yard so I flew above the house for a few seconds. When I was about to land I spotted a purple pony on the roof. I flew to her and tried to wake her up. As I got closer I realized that it was Berry Punch.
How the hay did she get up here?
"Um hey Berry it's time to get up." I say shaking her gently.
"Oh hey Red, what's going on?" she said still sounding drunk.
"Alright from what everypony told you should be fine on your own." I grab her and fly her down to the ground and she just walks off like nothing happened.
I notice that I had passed out next to Rainbow so I guessed her friends were still here, probably inside. I started waking everyone on the yard up and sending them home. I took a quick look at the punch table which was now full of empty cider bottles. I remembered that Applejack had mentioned she brought over drinks.
What a great start to a new day.

I ran into a bit of writers block, so if the chapter seems short that's why. I was reading the comments and one got me thinking about making this story an adventure. I could continue as I had planned or take all the characters on adventure but really it's up to you guys. So just tell me what you think would be better.
