Author's Note

Hello again, everybody. If you click on this chapter hoping to find more clop, then you are wasting your time.

This is a completely clop-free epilogue to the story that I felt needed to be done.

If you want clop still, go back to the first chapter.

I want to give thanks again to Kilala97, LuminoZero, and to all the people who favorited and upvoted this story. Although this story did not make it into the featured box, it was in the popular section, so that's good.

I do have another story in the works that is somewhat of a sequel to this one as well as a spiritual successor to another story by CarcinoGeneticist, Feels Like The First Time. I won't link it, since links to NSFW is a big no-no apparently, but I'm sure you won't have trouble finding it.

Hope you enjoy this, and remember, if you don't like this epilogue, don't downvote please and comment nicely.

Morning: Made Awkward (Clop-Free)

The annoying shrill of an alarm clock bell rang loud and clear, cutting through the silence that once graced Prism’s room.

The owner of said room let out a grumpy growl, as without looking, tried to hit the snooze button…but as anticipated, trying to hit a small button with eyes shut was a really hard task, as Prism’s hoof landed on the nightstand the first couple of times.

Stifling a curse under his breath, Prism bleakly open his eyes, just enough to catch the glimpse of the ringing clock and with one final strike, tapped the snooze button, silencing it…till next time.

Now halfway awake (much to his dismay), Prism decided to bridge that gap, as he sat up, arching his back and letting out a big yawn. His yawn was soon cut off by a few satisfying snaps in his spine.

“Ah…” Prism sighed blissfully, as he sat on his haunches again. However, as soon as he did, he felt something wet.

Confused, Prism glanced down. In between his legs was a rather big dark spot on his sheets.

“What the…” Prism trailed off, as he reached down and touched it.

The spot felt damp and sticky to the touch, and when he retracted the hoof and sniffed it, a pungent smell greeted his nostril.

“Ugh…” Prism winced, “Why…”

However, the moment that scent registered in Prism’s mind, memories of last night instantly returned to him…he and Whirlwind coming home from pranking Golden Delicious…him asking Whirlwind about her life as of now…him confessing that he still loved her…the kiss they shared…and then…

Prism’s cheeks went beet red as his heart skipped a beat.

Did I…Did I mate with Whirlwind last night?” Prism asked himself, trying to comprehend what it was he did the night before with his best friend…

Now, that he thought about it, where was his best friend? Prism glanced around his room. There was no sign of the violet pegasus anywhere.

Or was the whole thing a big wet dream?” Prism frowned. Could it had been a dream? He was not sure. That kiss…him entering her for the first time…him mounting her…somehow, all of that felt too real to had been nothing more than a-

His thoughts were interrupted by the opening of his bedroom door. Prism quickly turn to see none other than Whirlwind walking through the door. Judging by her now shimmering coat and the towel she was drying her mane with, she had just finished taking a shower.

“Whirlwind.” Prism stated simply, almost surprised to see her.

“Hey…” Whirlwind replied, though a blush was apparent on her face, “I hope you don’t mind that I used your shower…it’s just that with last night, we made a little mess of each other...”

Prism glanced back at the wet spot on his bed, then back to Whirlwind. He knew he was stupid asking this, but he needed confirmation. “So…last night…did we…” He trailed off, not sure how to put it.

“Have sex?” Whirlwind finished, her answer quite blunt. Prism winced a bit from the answer, “Yes…you do have a mark there on your shoulder…”

Whirlwind gestured to Prism’s left shoulder. The colt look at the said shoulder, and sure enough, there was a fading bite mark. Prism instinctively touched it, only to feel a sting; the bite was still sore.

“Sorry about that, by the way…” Whirlwind apologized, the blush on her face glowing redder.

“Well, it looks like you weren’t the only affectionate one here.” Prism shrugged, as he noticed the red hickeys on Whirlwind’s neck, not to mention the redness on her left ear.

“Yeah…” That was all Whirlwind could say in response.

The two remained there in silence. If Whirlwind had thought that the awkwardness she felt last night when she was alone with Prism was bad, this moment of silence made it seem perfectly normal.

What exactly could she say though? Last night, she gave her virginity to her best friend, who was once her coltfriend. Last night, that best friend of her made sweet, unadulterated love to her, something that couples only did if they loved each other. Last night…she said she loved him…twice.

Prism himself was faced with his own set of turmoil. He took his best friend/ex-marefriend’s virginity, something that mares usually saved for the stallion they loved…and he enjoyed every second of it. But where does this leave them? Because he doubted that sexual intercourse by any means meant that they were actually back together…did it?

The silence soon ceased when Prism moved a little on his bed, and patted a spot, “Want a seat?”

“Sure…” Whirlwind nodded, relieved by the silence being broken, as she climbed back onto the very bed where it happened. She dared not glanced at the ‘evidence’ of their love-making.

As soon as Whirlwind comfortably sat her haunches on the bed, the silence returned…but only for a few seconds, when Prism spoke.

“So…what now?”

Ah…a question that had only two meanings, neither of which Whirlwind herself would not ascertain.

Did he meant as to what do they do now to pass the time? Neither of their parents were due back home till tomorrow, and Icy Storm later this afternoon. They had a lot of free time on their hooves till then.

Or…was he referring as to where they go from here? Do they simply forget that last night had ever happen, passing it off as a ‘heat of the moment’ kind of deal, and go back to the way they were before, as if nothing changed?

Or do they embrace the fact that they made love to each other, because they loved each other, and get back together?

Whirlwind was not sure.

“I don’t really know, to be honest…” Whirlwind answered, “I mean, for one thing, we gotta make sure that the sheets are cleaned…and I don’t know how we are going to explain to the others about the hickeys and the bite mark…”

“Dubz, I was talking about us…” Prism clarified.

Dubz…she still remembered the day that Prism had come up with that nickname. Apparently, it was a reference to the sound of the first letter of her name, double U, or W…oh, how she had grown to love that nickname…all because it was something only Prism would call her…

No, she needed to stay focus on the matter at hoof.

“I’m not sure.” Whirlwind stated truthfully.

“You’re not sure?” Prism raised a brow.

“Yes.” Whirlwind sighed, “I mean, I didn’t expect last night to go the way it did.”

“That makes two of us.” Prism agreed, “I mean, I only thought out the kiss…but everything else just…I dunno, clicked.”

“Only that far, huh? How typical.” Whirlwind chuckled.

“Yeah…” Prism nodded, “…Whirlwind?”

“Yes?”

“Did you…did you enjoy last night?” Prism asked, though as he did, he felt a pang of awkwardness in the question.

He wasn’t the only one, as Whirlwind felt a blush coming on as soon as the question reached her ears. However, it didn’t stop her from answering.

“Yes.” Whirlwind admitted, “You made me feel things I never really felt before.”

“Like what?” Prism asked.

“I don’t know.” Whirlwind shook her head, “It is something that can’t really be put in words.”

“Well, then I guess that means that I did pretty good for my first time, right?” Prism asked.

“Yeah…if you hadn’t try to put it in the wrong hole.” Whirlwind smirked.

Prism’s eyes widened in horror, only for Whirlwind to chuckle.

“Just kidding, Priz. You did good…except you did kinda fallen asleep on top on me while still inside.” Whirlwind explained with flushed cheeks, “It was really awkward trying to get out from under you…and you outta me…”

“You don’t say.” The stallion deadpanned, his cheeks redder than Whirlwind, “Sorry about that…”

“Don’t be. Other than the fact you are like a furnace…it felt…nice, you atop me, with your hooves around me.” Whirlwind explained, trying her best not to blush so prominently, “I dunno, I sorta wish there would be more moments like that.”

Silence graced the room…only for Prism to ward it off.

“Why can’t there be?” Prism asked.

Whirlwind glanced at him in confusion.

“Look, Dubz, it is obvious that you and I felt something last night.” Prism pointed out, “And…to be frank, I really want to give us another shot.”

“Prism…” Whirlwind frowned, “It’s not that simple. It’s-”

“Complicated?” Prism cut her off, “How is it complicated? I love you, and you love me. Nothing’s complicated there.”

“Well, yes…” Whirlwind agreed, “But…I’m afraid…”

“Afraid?” Prism asked, “You? Afraid?”

“Yes.” Whirlwind snapped, “Prism, our friendship barely survived the first time we were together…and that was when we were just kids. Now…we’re not.”

“All the more reasons to get back together, Dubz.” Prism smirked, “Back then, we were just stupid foals…but now, we are stupid teenagers, who are a lot smarter than those stupid foals.”

“But Prism…what if we do not work out this time as well?” Whirlwind pointed out, her face lined with concern, “I…I don’t know if I could go on knowing I lost a very good friend because of us being together...doesn’t that scare you as well?”

Prism paused a moment, before letting out a sigh, “More than anything.”

“Then you see our problem.” Whirlwind said.

“Your problem, maybe.” Prism shrugged, prompting Whirlwind’s brow to raise, “But my problem is…I really care about you. Last night…was the greatest night of my life…and I don’t want that night to be nothing more than a ‘heat of the moment’ or a ‘one-night stand’.”

Prism faced Whirlwind, as she faced him.

“Whirlwind, there is no other mare out there that I’m crazy about as I am with you! I know you don’t want to ruin this friendship, and neither do I…but I am willing to risk everything…if I could be the guy that makes you happy! If it doesn’t work out, then it’s on me. You can go off and date another guy, even that lousy sonofvamule Hot Head! All I want is the chance to make you happy, Dubz...please...”

Prism finished, panting a little from his speech. Whirlwind remained silent, as the two sat there on the bed.

“Well…I guess we are at an impasse then…” Whirlwind finally declared, “You want to go and risk our friendship again, facing possible heartbreak…while I don’t want to risk it, even though every bone in my body says otherwise…all this, because we bucked each other.”

“It sounds shallow if you put it like that.” Prism smiled softly, “Look, I’m not saying we should just act like what we did last night made everything in the past not matter…but I’m willing to take chances…if you are.”

Whirlwind glanced at Prism, before a smile crept on her face, “I feel like you aren’t going to take no for an answer, are you?”

“Well, if you still aren’t confident about us trying again, might I make another counter-argument?” Prism suggested.

Deciding to humor him, Whirlwind smirked, “Shoot.”

“Gladly.” Prism chuckled.

Then in one fell swoop, Prism took Whirlwind by the shoulder and before she could say a word, Prism brought his lips to hers, giving her a kiss that was as passionate yet clean as the first one from last night.

Whirlwind’s wings instantly sprang up with a ‘pompf’ as her body locked up for a brief second due to surprise, but soon, her body relaxed itself as she melt into the kiss.

As much as she didn’t want to risk losing Prism’s friendship…it did not change the fact that he was a damn good kisser, and, as she learned last night, was not half bad in the sack. But all in all, all the naughtiness aside, she knew that Prism was nothing like the Prism she knew back as a kid. Maybe…just maybe, this could work out…a few bumps here and there, but-

Before she could finish that thought, Whirlwind’s maw parted as she greeted Prism’s oral snake with her own once more, their kiss going from clean and simple to a sloppy make-out session once more.

The two embraced each others, exchanging taps of the tongue and running their hooves along each others’ backs, feeling that spark they felt last night growing into a roaring flame…

However, the two soon parted, gasping for air. Prism and Whirlwind’s eyes met, displaying the love that was once thought to be lost, revived like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

And speaking of ‘rising’, a certain part of Prism began to stiffen from the returning sensation of arousal coursing through Prism’s being.

But the colt paid it no mind, as he hugged Whirlwind close to her, nuzzling her deeply, enjoying the warmth of her body and the smell of lavender in her mane (nice choice of shampoo, by the way).

Whirlwind let out a content sigh as she laid her chin on Prism’s un-bit shoulder, as she then whispered,

“Say, Priz…are you thinking what I’m thinking?”

“You know…” Prism smirked, as his pride twitched a little between them, “I think I am.”

“Good.” Whirlwind smirked, as she playfully shoved Prism back, much to his surprise, “Because I can go for a hot cup of chocolate from Sugarcube Corner right about now.” She then hopped off the bed and headed to the door, glancing back with a mischievous smirk, “Last one there buys.”

With that, the purple pegasus trotted off with a laugh, leaving Prism alone in his room. The navy blue pegasus glanced out the door, and down at his now limp stallionhood, and with a chuckle…

“Heh, close enough.”

With a burst of speed, he ran out of his room to join his mare in their little race. Who would win, it doesn’t matter (though, spoilers alert, Whirlwind won), for now, the relationship between the two pegasus had been fully reassessed, and this was the result:

Their love was like a flame. It started small and weak, so weak that it was easily snuffed out, but even then, the embers that lingered were still lit, and all that was needed was that one spark, in form of the love they shared last night, to bring the flame back to life.

Their love was now burning bright, and nothing, absolutely nothing, will douse it.

The End…For Real
