Ace Combat: Fires of Equestria

     It had been 20 years since the United Nations finally finished off the Taliban, and were in a general state of peace. The peace didn't last though, North Korea launched a nuke on the city of Seoul in South Korea. Nearly 900,000 people died that day which really took a toll on the morale of South Koreans military. North Korea decided this was the time to strike South Korea, and take what they believed was theirs. North Korea called the Russians and the Chinese for help to make the offensive go quicker, China aided with weaponry but the Russians didn't aid at all for they new what would happen if this offensive took place. Later that very year North Korea rushed their troops across the border in hopes of taking South Korea by surprise.  That was the final straw for the UN, Britain and later that year the United States came to aid the South Koreans. It was a long fought war that was mostly the North Koreans slowly but surely pushing UN forces back, until both sides saw it was time for a cease fire. Many lives were lost and economy's were destroyed, but the world was once again in peace. The US had used so much money for producing its war machines, that the people back on US soil were struggling to make a salary. The government was getting desperate for money and for some reason someone made a funny and irrational suggestion to search the Bermuda Triangle for islands that contained natural resources and such. Unfortunately the US took this seriously and decided to carry out the idea. They sent the USS Nimitz to carry out the mission. It's carrying 14 F/A-18E Hornets as strike fighters; 4 EA-6B Prowlers for electronic warfare; 4E-2C Hawkeyes used for airborne early warning; C-2 Greyhounds used for logistics; and a Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron of 6 HH-60H Seahawks. Why take some much armament you may ask? The US thought maybe ships and planes were disappearing because of enemy forces of some sort. So now the USS Nimitz and a frigate as escort has set out to find new land.
