Twilight trotted into the Canterlot Library with a spring in her step. She had finally found the time, between her royal duties,to find a good book to start reading. As she entered the Canterlot Librarian,Word Weave, was at the counter skimming through a book. Her eyes glanced upon at the sound of the door creaking in and smiled.

"Princess Twilight,"She said dipping her head in a friendly bow,"What brings you here?".Twilight beamed at smile back. She quite enjoyed the local librarian.Always so nice and friendly to any and everypony.

"Figured I'd take this rare chance in between my duties to check out a book".She said while here eyes scanned over the multitude of shelves."Anything new?".

The librarian nodded."Two actually".Twilight returned her attention to the librarian. The library got a lot of new books but typically it only got about one every two weeks due to the fact books weren't something rushed and the library contained almost every book in Equestria.

"Two?".She questioned trying to hold back her excitement. The librarian smiled and nodded."New-new or old-new?".Twilight asked, now approaching the counter. Most librarians would have been a bit confused by that question but the question made sense to word weave since the Canterlot library is one of her most frequently visited.

"Well",started Word,"we have one of both. One was recently published, about two months ago I believe. The other, however, was published about four years ago, though it seems it's still gaining attention".She ducked behind the counter and started going through the drawers. As she pulled out the second drawer she took a book in her hooves and set it down on top of the desk."There's the new-new one.Now let's see if I can find this other one".

As she returned to rummaging through the drawers Twilight leaned forward to see the name of the new-new book.It was the twelfth book in that hunter apprentice series she had been intending to start, but still hasn't found the time for it.She leaned back when her balance started to wobble and waited for the librarian to find the book, nodding greetings to the occasional bows she got from ponies walking into the library."Ah!"Word called from behind the counter in triumph.Rising up from behind the counter she put the book on top of the counter proudly. Her face went to a light rosey-red when the book ended up upside down.Still embarrassed, she flipped it over to reveal the cover. It made Twilight gape a bit.

She stared at the book, her mind racing over the name.

Contego ... Contego ... Contego ...

She was eventually brought out of her shocked stated by Word shaking a hoof in front of her face."Princess? Are you okay?".She asked, trying to hide the worry in her voice.

"I'm quite fine".Twilight responded, her voice barely an audible whisper."Can I check this one out".She asked indicating to the book that had cause her shock. The librarian nodded and took the book.

"You sure you're okay?".Twilight nodded and Word just shrugged and checked it out for her."Here you go".She said, sliding the book over the counter to Twilight. She said her thanks then left. She could have just teleported back to the castle but she didn't dare to even think about doing in in fear she may ruin the mint condition book, even if had never happened before when she teleported with other books and was tucked safely in her saddle bags.

She trotted back to the castle nodding to the ponies that bowed as she walked by.This continued through the streets of Canterlot up to castle guards who bowed."Princess".They muttered and she nodded towards them as they opened the gates to the castle. She kept this up through the castle twisting and turning down the various corridors of the ancient castle. As she turned a corner she bumped into some pony. Her eyes being blinded by a pure white coat confirmed it as Celestia before she even got a chance to glance at her face.Stepping back and glancing at her face only confirmed further that it was Celestia. She wore her crown and regalia. Her eyes were closed, most of her face taken up by the motherly smile she wore on her muzzle.Luna stood next her sister, dressed similarly, though her smile was not quite as big and her eyes were not closed.

"Hello Twilight".Celestia said, opening her eyes and beaming down at her old student.Twilight shook her head lightly to clear it of the birds that chirped only to herself and flew around her head then smiled back.

"Hello Celestia,Luna".She said, inclining her head to the older princesses at the mention of their name.Luna simply nodded.

"Is ... something wrong Twilight".Celestia asked, tilting her head to the side, the smile gone, now replaced with a look of slight worry.

"Wrong,"Twilgith started,"Why would anything be wrong?".

"Then why are you running"?Celestia questioned slightly raising an eyebrow without the other one twitching.

It was a skill most monarchs develop and one that she was quite proud of.

Twilight body seemed to finally catch up to her mind and she finally felt the familiar strain her legs that came from running to long.Rubbing the back of her head a bit embarrassed she said,"I guess I got a little TOO excited over a book I got at the library today".Celestia, all too familiar with the younger princess's  love for books, returned to the motherly smile.

"I understand.Well, let us not hold you back any longer".

Twilight nodded smiling."Thank you princess".Before they had a chance to say anything Twilight dashed past the two princesses and into her chambers.

Celestia smiled back at her younger sister."It must be a good book if she didn't even attempt to tell us we were doing nothing of the sort".She said, holding back a little giggle.

Luna nodded."Very".

Inside her chambers, with the curtains drawn and only a candle lit,Twilight sat at her reading desk, the book laying, cover up on the desk.Twilight had been so eager to get home and read the book and now here it was, sitting right in front of her ...

... and she couldn't will herself to open it.

She couldn't explain it.She had never had this much trouble with a book.Sighing, she glanced at the side of the book at the information on it.On the side of the book was the title as well as a slight addition to it that adorns every library book stating what category they fell into. This one said autobiography.Sighing she looked back at the cover and, using her magic, lightly flipped the cover over.On the inside was the title again and when it was published.Flipping it over was a table of context which she skipped past quickly and onto the Prologue.

"Prologue"

It's interesting, being a draconequus and all, because ponies no next to nothing on them seeing as how, until I came around, the only one was Discord and for most of the time he was stuck in a stone prison. They don't realize that we share a similarity. For ponies it's their cutie mark ... to us ... it's our name.

Most ponies are born then given a name, but draconequus are given a name then they're born,or created in my case.Ponies have to figure out what their special talent is.Draconequus work to figure out their magic specialty, that in turns becomes their name.I laugh that nopony ever thought about the fact that discord's name means disharmony and that's exactly what he's good at.

My 'Parents',are Twilight Sparkle and Digital Text ... since they were the scientist that gave me life and are the closest to parents I have.Though I need to slow down a bit cause I'm getting way ahead of myself.Let's go back a couple hours before my creation ...
