Prologue
“We work in the Dark, to serve the Light.
Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.”
Code of the Creed
It began 13 years before the Clone Wars. A young boy was found abandoned in the streets of Coruscant. Most citizens would think nothing of this child, some pitied him, and others offered help. Every time they did, however, the kid would always reject the help by saying, “I don’t need your help. I’m fine on my own.” No one knew why the boy refused their help. The real reason why was because he was a Child of the Force.
This pattern kept on for 9 months. Then one day, the boy was approached by a member of the Jedi Order. The boy was perplexed, but the Jedi explained that he had a role to play in the future. One where he will decide the fate of the Galaxy. So he took the child to the Jedi Temple for special training. Training that no other student had learned before.
As the years went by, the boy now turned into a man grew stronger. Under this new program he gained knowledge that most Jedi Knights were blind to, learned skills like no other, and went under a new title that no other Jedi could gain. The exclusive title was know as Master Assassin.
The reason behind the man’s ascension was because the Jedi Council received disturbing visions of the future. They consisted of the final days of the Clone Wars, a revelation of the true Lord of the Sith, the downfall of the Republic, and the beginning of the First Galactic Empire. And all of this was accomplished by a gifted student of the Force turning to the Dark Side, going by the name of Darth Vader.
So the Council devised a plan. If the Chosen One would fail a Jedi trained by the Masters themselves would reconstruct the Order, destroy the Empire, and restore peace across the Galaxy. That man was destined for greatness. But his fate, and the fate of the future, would be in his own hands.
That man...is me. My name is Kaleb Striker, and this is my story.
