Little Things....

“No idea what to write.” A writer said sitting at his desk and rapping his knuckles against the desk. He sat there sighing and looking around his room. Seeing nothing but posters of video games and soda cans littered across almost every surface. He shook his head before sighing and leaning back in his chair.
“Why don’t you write something about us?” A small Changeling, no big than the writer’s hand, said fluttering over and landing on his shoulder. He was soon followed by two other little Changelings and none other than the queen Chrysalis herself, all of whom landed on his shoulder.
“I would, but I don’t know what I would write about. That's the thing.” The writer said sighing.
“Well we can always help.” A Lunar Alicorn said stepping out from under The writer’s monitor.
“Yes. We have lived for quite sometime. Why not let us help?” The sun goddess said following her sister.
“Seriously, where are all of you coming from?” The writer asked picking up the Changelings off his shoulder and putting them on the desk. “My imagination is horrible to me.”
“I thought we convinced you we weren't imaginary!” The purple alicorn said as she bounded from behind the monitor as well. The Writer just groaned and rubbed his eyes from under his glasses.
“Just because I am seeing you, doesn't mean you are real.” The writer stated with a ‘matter of fact’ tone. A small stream of rainbow zipped by his computer before smacking him in the nose, stunning him and making him yelp in confusion. “Ow, what the hell?”
“Does that convince you?” The prismatic mare stated, crossing her fore hooves and scowling at the Writer. He wiggled his nose a bit and rubbed it with his fingers before raising an eyebrow at Rainbow Dash. With a defeated sigh, he leaned back in his computer chair, relishing the soft leather and cushions.
“Why do you all insist on harassing me every time I sit down to write?” He asked, setting his glasses down on his desk and rubbing his eyes. Feeling something on his shoulder, he lazily raised his hand, shifting his vision to his left. The mismatched serpent reclining against his neck stretched before looking at him with a coy grin.
“Why it’s just so much fun to see your reactions to us, my dear boy!” Discord responded happily before being picked up by the scruff of his neck and placed on the Computer’s tower. Huffing, he crossed his arms and deadpanned at the writer. “You are no fun, are you?”
“For your information, I don’t find it fun to have a bunch of fictional candy colored equines cantering all over my desk and pestering me to write something when I clearly don’t have a idea!” the Writer spoke, irritated and slightly angered. They small group, no pun intended, all hung their heads in guilt. The writer sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Alright, I am sorry, but please, if you want me to write, you are going to have wait for me to get a idea.”
They all perked up and nodded happily. The writer stroked his chin in thought a moment before sighed and putting his face into his hands. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he opted for getting up and going to his bed. As he flopped onto his bed, he heard a very angered and very annoyed growl. Lifting his head, he reached under his bed and yelped as he felt something latch onto his finger.
Pulling his hand out, he found a small caped dark grey unicorn with a red horn biting his finger. Glaring at the pony, he saw it wilt slightly and curl it’s legs and tail up to his chest. Sighing, he grabbed the pony with his other hand and placed him on the pillow before laying his head back down. “Why do you ponies torture me so?” He muttered.
Instead of getting an answer, he saw the caped pony crawl over and lay next to his head, curling up to take a snooze with him. It didn't take much longer before he felt the rest of the ponies pile onto his chest. He took in a yawn, hearing some of the ponies ‘Eep!’ at the sudden rise and fall of his chest.

He had awoken not much later, finding the ponies back on his desk, each speaking and discussing several things. There were quite a few more ponies on his desk now, not to mention a small iguana sized dragon and a few griffons. He walked over, staring in disbelief before saying only a single word to convey his mindset.
“Why?”
The entire group let out small yelps of surprise and their heads whipping to see him standing by the desk in confusion. Celestia flew up from the group and landed on the writer’s shoulder. “We thought we got more ponies we could come up with a better idea and well... Things got a little out of hoof.” She stated with a sheepish smile. “So we decided to divide up and come up with ideas!”
The writer deadpanned a moment before shaking his head and sitting down in his chair. He chose to simply accept this turn of events, letting the ponies work. Opting to simply watch the ponies and other creatures converse, he looked around his table to see where they all were.
The dragon, several ponies and a griffon were sitting on the top of his computer tower, which he didn't mind too much as long as the dragon didn't melt anything.
The goddesses, gods, and other powerful beings were sitting in front of his keyboard and speaking in small whispers.
Several background ponies were huddled at the base of his monitor, pitching ideas and cackling at jokes each other then began to make. There were plenty of stragglers left that were more interested in the environment they were in. After a moment of watching and smiling at the ridiculous scene before him, the Writer got up and left to go grab something to eat.
He came back with a plate of food for the ponies and other creatures before a thought hit him. He gently picked up the ponies and moved them away from his keyboard and monitor. Taking a quick seat, he swiftly placed his fingers on the keyboard and began to type away like a made man, his fingers moving in a small blur.
The group of miniature creatures all stared in wonder as he worked diligently. As the words appeared on his screen, they each began to smile. After about an hour of typing, the Writer leaned back and looked over his work, content with what he had wrote. The ponies each gave him a bit of praise, which in turn gave him a smile. They soon each began to leave, stepping behind his monitor and disappearing.
“Thanks, you all. I don’t know why you all helped, but thanks nonetheless.” The Writer told the ponies as they left. When the final pony left, he let out a sigh of relief and happiness and began to read over what he had, beginning to proofread his story.
