Big mac fought back tears as the memory resurfaced, Big macintosh always knew there was something different about him. that he liked stallions instead of mares, he never thought anything of it, he was later taught that homosexuality was shunned in society so he became shy and introverted so no one would find out about his true sexuality. he couldn't risk being asked out by a mare. then tears filled his eyes again as another memory resurfaced.
it was just last week. Spitfire had asked Big mac to come see him. "Big mac....will you go out with me?" big mac almost jumped back. he didn't know what to say so he figured he should just tell her. "I would Spitfire but...i'm gay" Spitfire gasped "You...You filthy COLTCUDDLER .then the people in the crowded bar surrounded him. "we don't take kindly to your kind here" the owner said. "so beat it Faggot ." big mac simply tipped his hat to the patrons and left.
Big mac eventually gave up and let the tears flow freely. he laid in his room and cried for hours,why couldn't people understand it isn't his fault.he was born this way. his phone rang and when he saw who it was. he smiled again.
"I love you lyra" Bon Bon said as she kissed the mare. the two mares loved eachother very much, but society didn't like that fact.Homosexuality was shunned in most parts of equestrian society and Two mares or Two stallions getting married sickened many people. What they didn't get was that it was all the same love. gender didn't matter. and only a small few people knew it. All of the mane 6 knew it was just two people who loved eachother getting married and that it didn't matter. If only everybody thought this way.

Big mac knocked on the door of the apartment.and his boyfriend soarin answered. "Hey honey,what's wrong?" soarin noticed the tears in his eyes.Big mac trotted in and sat on the couch "It's just that...people don't accept our love, Spitfire and Granny smith are both extremely homophobic and i just feel like i'm not even considered as an equal pony by society, i want to tell everybody so badly but i'm scared of what others will think" Soarin held his lover close and consoled him. "Don't worry sweetie.you don't have to tell anybody until you feel comfortable doing so" "but i'm tired of hiding" Big mac retorted."I want to tell my family and friends but i want you to be there for me.Can you do that for me?" big mac asked. "of course i can,in fact I'll come out with you to make it easier for you.if we're going to be hated by people we're going to face that hate together" "I love you soarin" "I love you too big mac,and nothing will change that" The two Stallions embraced each other in an extremely passionate kiss.

Big mac then started singing.big mac sang there song in a deep baritone voice. Soarin then joined in his high pitched singing voice they both then started singing together. they embraced each other tighter as they sang big mac stroked Soarin's mane. they both smiled at eachother as they finished
That had been their song ever since big mac had sang it with the pony tones.Big mac had looked at soarin the whole time he was singing it.they were both weeping by the end of it. it was then that soarin realized it. Big mac loved soarin and he loved Big mac and that would never change, not for the world.he would rather go without any love then having to go without big mac. They kissed eachother in another sweet embrace. when Soarin got up and walked towards his room "Hey babe,you coming to bed?" Big mac nodded as he went to bed with soarin as he laid there with soarin in his arms.he realized that he wanted to marry Soarin and spend the rest of his life with him,and he was willing to put up a hell of a fight to be able to do it.

Lyra and Bonbon were a different story however.they had never been in the closet about there love and had been constantly ridiculed for it.Even by the "Loving" cheerilee. They too weren't allowed to marry however unlike stallion couples they were allowed to have a "Domestic Partnership" which basically meant "you two can have all the rights of married people but we aren't gonna call it marriage"
One of the biggest excuses the princesses had for outlawing same sex marriage was that there were so few stallions compared to mares and that same sex marriage would "Greatly decrease the population" but the laws were extremely hypocritical for not letting stallions have Domestic partnerships.but there was nothing they could do. Lyra had met Bonbon at sugar cube corner and had became friends.but they eventually fell deeply in love with eachother. they went on three dates before they gave into there desires and Lyra gave Bonbon her virginity.and that only made there bond stronger.it had been a year and a half before they both agreed to get there domestic partnership and they had a party at sugar cube corner to celebrate it. they had been together for 5 years.
Lyra and Bonbon were having dinner when Lyra brought it up."Bonbon? do you ever think about getting married?" Bonbon was shocked. "You know that isn't possible Lyra" "i know but...i was thinking about if we were to protest about it that it make people realize it's a big issue" Bonbon smiled "I'll tell you what.if you can find another same sex couple we can start protesting" Lyra nodded "I love you bonbon" "I love you too Lyra" Lyra then pecked her on the lips and they finished there meal and did the dishes together. Lyra was determined to find another same sex couple.she wanted to marry bonbon.and nothing was gonna stop her.

Big mac and Soarin sat on the couch as the mane 6,granny smith,Spitfire,and the Cutie mark crusaders crowded into the small living room of the apartment. Big mac spoke up "Soarin and I have something to tell you guys" Applejack "Brother if you have something to get your chest feel free to tell us anything,and we'll support you fully" Applejack had her assumptions about her brother's sexuality and figured this was what this is about. Big mac sighed "Well...guys I'm gay" he said as everybody gasped "Me too" soarin spoke up provoking another gasp from spitfire.Big mac looked at Soarin "In fact me and Soarin are..together" there was an awkward silence before Applejack broke the silence "Well,you have my full support" Rainbow dash being the well known LGBT supporter was next to speak up "Yeah,and if anybody gives you guys shit i'll knock the lights out of them for you!" Pinkie pie spoke up next "Have you guys...you know" she said as she made an obscene gesture with her hooves Both of them blushed "Well" Soarin said "Since we've been together for 3 years yeah" Twilight chuckled "3 years ? and you tell us just now? why didn't you tell us earlier?" Granny smith replied angrily "Because he know's it's unnatural,and frankly you should know you two are the reason our population is so low, that's why you too can't marry" Big mac knew she would reply this way Rarity spoke up "It's not Unnatural if they're born that way" then rainbow dash joined in "And the population is just fine,not allowing them to get married isn't doing anything for the population,they aren't gonna go and get married to a mares just because they can't marry eachother, so we aren't getting anything done!" she said angrily Granny smith replied to her with her opinion on it "They aren't born that way, they choose that" Big mac looked at her and spoke up "Do you choose to be straight?! it's not a choice,why would i choose to be gay if it was ridiculed in society like it is?!" "I don't know you tell me" granny smith said bitterly "Can't believe my grandson is a damn colt cuddler" Spitfire looked at them in disgust "You're lucky your so important to the wonderbolts or else we would have you kicked out" Soarin spoke up "Accept me for who i am or i'm out" "i wont accept it" spitfire retorted "But i'll tolerate it" Applebloom looked at her great grandmother "I don't see a problem with it,So what if he likes other stallions? Hating somebody for who they like is pointless" Big mac was so proud of his sister's tolerance "Because it's wrong !" granny replied Big mac stood up and looked her granny straight in the eyes "Granny,i love you" he said with tears in his eyes "But if you don't accept me for who i am, you can just leave our house" me went into there room and got a dildo. he then threw it at her "and take this,because for all i care you can go fuck yourself" soarin was suprised by his partner's anger he had a bit of a temper but it was never this bad. granny smith left in disgust,nobody stopped her

Applejack stood up "That does it,i refuse to stand by while my brother has to go without what should be his rights, I don't know about you guys. but i will not stop until same sex marriage is legal" she then looked at Soarin and Big mac "You two are fighting a pretty hard right now,I'm gonna get you some bigger boxing gloves" she looked around "Who's with me in this fight?" Twilight stood up "I am" Pinkie pie smiled and Screamed "I AM!" Rainbow dash looked at the two stallions "Oh you better believe i am" All the cutie mark crusaders stood up in unison "We are" Fluttershy stood up "I am" Rarity looked at them "I may not be the same but that doesn't matter,you two have a supporter" Spitfire was the last to stand up.She looked at Soarin "You...really love him don't you?" Soarin smiled "More than the world" She then looked at applejack "I apologize for the way i reacted,I'm with you guys"
Big mac and Soarin smiled at them "Thank y'all" big mac said "Yeah thanks guys" Soarin said. they both had tears in there eyes as the whole group embraced in a Group hug.Lyra and Bonbon stood outside the window and spoke up "Count us in" everypony looked at them. as they walked in Lyra spoke up "We wouldn't mind getting married either".Applejack smiled "Welcome to the team" you two"
Everyone went to the protest except granny smith. they stood there with signs in the town square and protested they mostly got dirty looks,but they gained quite a few supporters as well. they all went to sugar cube corner afterwards and had dinner,And everybody was happy with the events of the day

Soarin looked at big mac who was reading a book on the couch "Big mac?" he asked "eeyup?" he retorted."Even if we can't get married i want you to know that our love is not inferior" Big mac looked down from his book "I know that honey. I love you, no law is gonna change that " they sat there in silence, but not a bad silence,it was more like a contempt silence, Soarin knew that there love wouldn't be effected by this,regardless of the outcome.Not that he didn't want to get married.that would be great,but he would would be fine with not getting married as long as he could stay with the love of his life, but if it was important to big mac, it was important to him.
Soarin was always happiest when big mac was happy and that's all he wanted to do was make him happy.Coming out of the closet together only strengthened their bond,now all they were worried about was having equal rights. They deserved just as much as straight couples and they won't stop until they have those rights. Big mac had always been stubborn and didn't give up on things,this was no different. So Soarin knew they were in for an adventure and getting more supporters probably only motivated him more. Soarin was becoming increasingly optimistic about this.He thought he was alone with big mac in this fight, but Lyra and Bonbon and all the LGBT suopporters that joined in the protest showed him the he had a lot of people were willing to fight for the cause of marriage equality and they could use as much support as they could get. population issue be damned they will get married by the end of this.
The next day Big mac surprised Soarin with dinner reservations when he came home from practice. it had been a while since the last date they went on and Big mac liked to keep things interesting. Big mac put on his nice cowboy hat and leather vest ad Soarin put on his wonderbolts jacket and they trotted to the train station and gave the conductor their tickets and got on the train.they sat there talking about work and how their day was as the train sped towards canterlot. Big mac brought up a family incident that happened at work. "So ah was taking a break and i saw applebloom and her friends trying to pull the apple cart and when i asked them about what they were doin and they said something about "Cutie mark crusaders apple farmers" i figured they weren't hurtin nothin so i left them to play" he said with a chuckle "I swear soarin they aren't gonna get there cutie marks that way" Soarin smirked "If they do get 'em that way it wouldn't make for an interesting story" Big mac shrugged "What can you do?"
The two kept talking for a little bit but soarin was tired from practice and and decided to take a nap, big mac just sat there with soarin resting his head on his lap and sleeping like a rock and looked out the window, when they were a few miles from canterlot Big mac decided to wake Soarin up. Soarin was a heavy sleepe so he knew he was going to need a few minutes to wake him up.
After a few minutes and a cup of coffee soarin was awake and aware by the time they made it to canterlot. They both trotted out and took a taxi to canterlot's fanciest restaurant.Big mac had really out done himself and this time he sure looked proud of himself. they ate what was probably the best meal they've both had in weeks and were about to go home when soarin realized he had the day off tomorrow and when it comes to big mac's job he got paid as long as he got the job done. his wok was rather laissez faire due to the fact he was such a good worker they gave him more freedoms. so they decided to stay at a hotel tonight.
They decided however since it was 11 pm and the night was young that they would go to a bar for a few drinks,they went to a gay bar called "Thunderlane's Place" they walked in the doors and sat at the bar. Big mac ordered some cider and Soarin got some fruity drink he could barely pronounce the name of.
About half an hour had passed and they were both very tipsy and felt like dancing! they went out on the crowded dance floo and started dancing together.It wasn't the best dancing but they were having fun and that's all that mattered. Big mac and Soarin always had the most fun together. Ever since they started dating Soarin has helped Big mac come out of his shell. When he's around soarin he's a lot less introverted, they really brought the best out of each other.
They had eventually gotten extremely drunk and were stumbling down the street towards a nice hotel.they stumbled into there room giggling all the while. Big mac went over to the living room and passed out while holding his partner on the couch

Snips and Snails were both 14 at the time when they knocked on the 15 year old Featherweight's door.He begrudgingly opened the door and yawned since they awoke him from his nap. "What now guys?" he said. Snails pushed him aside and they walked in "Dude this is so totally fucking rad" Snips said as he shut the door behind him. Featherweight sighed "What is it now?".
Snails held up a pornographic magazine called Playcolt "Look at what my big brother left under his matress when he left for college!" the magazine then fell open to show a mare with a yellow coat and pink mane being pounded by a black coated stallion with a red mane,she seemed to be enjoying herself. Featherweight Facehoofed "You interrupted my nap because you found a nudie magazine?" Snips gasped "Just a nudie magazine?" Snails snickered "What are you?Gay? "
Featherweight was taken back by this,to be honest he didn't know at this point,He definitely wasn't straight. he knew that for sure.but any sexual interaction or even attraction to the same sex was gruffly shot down in his mind,since homosexuality was such a taboo in Equestrian society he repressed any curiosities he may have had.but he didn't find anything wrong with homosexuality,why would he? There was nothing wrong with it in his eyes.
Featherweight chuckled nervously"Gay? of course not. I love mares.". he looked up at them "You wanna play video games or something?" they nodded and he turned on the console in his room.
They played for a few hours before Snips and Snails left to go show everyone else there "reading material". Featherweight sighed in relief and went out on the back porch,he sat down and made sure no one was able to see him,and then he lit a cigarette.he had taken up the habit about a year ago because he found out about a side effect that he liked alot,it helped him focus on the task at hand.at first he didn't smoke regularly but only when he had a book report or a writing assignment,then eventually he became extremely addicted.But lately he's been using his habit as a way to keep his stress at bay.The thing is he didn't know exactly what he was so stressed about.
Of course i know what i'm so stressed about.
I keep having these,thoughts Featherweight had been curious about other colts in his class for a while now,up to this point he had just repressed it.now he was letting all the thoughts flood back.This often happened when he was alone.and to be honest there was nothing he could really do to keep these thoughts at bay so he figured he would just let them happen.
