In the year 20XX of Three Princesses Calender
Twilight Sparkle woke up in the morning. Something that she usually never does, since she stays up all night to work on her projects with the Equestrian Armed Forces. As they requested the princess' help against the “Rainbow Factory”. A once secret division of the Cloudsdale weather factory. They are known for using pony blood to make the spectra for rainbows. However as of the past year or so, it's head manager, Dr. Hide Atmosphere, changed his plans. Once he was satisfied with just pegasus foals that had failed their flight school exams. While he still takes failure pegasus foals. His most recent attempts have been to use foals of earth ponies and unicorns.
She needed a way to protect her kingdom. She is the third ruler of Equestria, just under Celestia and Luna. She couldn't just sit around as her ponies were being attacked by these Pony Masters. A bunch of robotic ponies that have been attacking various places throughout Equestria. They needed a hero in their darkest hour. She chose to build one for them. Sadly, it was a failure... As her robotic alicorn/daughter Nyx went out to save a class of foals from becoming victims. Nyx was destroyed and Twilight was given the pictures to prove it. Ever since then, Twilight has been trying to build a new robot, but it wasn't working out for her. However this morning was going to be different. She didn't know it but today was going to be both tragic and hopeful at the same time. It all started when she heard a knock at the door of the Golden Oaks Library in Ponyville...
“I'm coming!” Twilight said opening the door. She found Pinkie on the other side and the happiest pony in Equestria. Well with the second happiest party pony being Cheese Sandwich. Nyway Pinkie looked like a mess. As if some pony died... Actually some pony DID die and Pinkie found the bodies out on Sugar Cube Corner's doorstep. “Pinkie what's wrong?”
It was a terrible sight to behold all of Ponyville. Every pony in town gathered to see the gruesome sight one mare and one filly laying dead at the entrance to Sugar Cube Corner. Even as Derpy Hooves was going inside to get her breakfast and lunch before going to work. She was the first to see the sight and alert the Cakes and Pinkie outside. Where they had to see who was lying there on their doorstep, but none other than Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo. It was almost hard to tell who they were at first. As the color has been drained out of their bodies. Upon closer inspection, it was easy to tell by their faces. But how did they die? Why are they gray like that? No pony knew anything as to why they were murdered or why they lost all color to their bodies. But one thing was clear, there was still some blood around two puncture wounds on their chests. It looked like their blood was forcibly removed from them.
Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy were in town and noticed the crowd around their hangout spot. They were in denial at the whole thing. This had to be a bad dream to them. However it wasn't a dream it was real. The element of loyalty and her student were dead... Pinkie led Twilight where Rainbow's body was located, and the horro on her face registered immediately. Then all five remaining ponies of the Mane Six mourned the death of their friend and her student. Applejack and Rarity had no clue how to break the bad news to their younger sisters. The CMC has lost one member forever.

“You can't serious Twilight!” Rarity said as Twilight took the bodies of Scoots and Rainbow down to her basement. Spike heard the commotion and chose to investigate it. Where he too couldn't believe that two of his friends were dead. “You're going to use their bodies for some science experiment? What if it doesn't work?”
“Well if it doesn't work, then I will give them a proper burial and memorial in town myself!” Twilight said. Then she turned to Spike who was crying... “I know Spike... It's just so unreal. But if I can make this experiment work. I can bring them back to life. But I need your help Spike. I can't do this on my own.”
Spike wiped the tears from his eyes before standing back up and walking towards the two metal tables. “Right, on my way Twilight.”

“You'll be making beautiful magical rainbows! Doesn't that excite you?” Dr. Hide Atmosphere said with glee. The pegasi filly and colts were below him on the ground floor. As he stood from the high catwalk that surrounded a large machine. “Oh but I would normally ask for volunteers. However, this time I already have one...”
Hide walked over to a mare wearing a head mask and a leather catsuit. The mare looked nervous under the mask as if she had something to hide and was about to be found out. Unfortunately for her, her mask was removed and it revealed to be Rainbow Dash. The weather pony from Ponyville. The legendary mare that did the Sonic Rainboom twice in her life. Rainbow Dash was being drafted to be the first victim of the Pegasus Device for this class of useless foals. All of them present had failed to pass the easiest exam their respective flight school has given for some reason or another. Now they were first going to watch Rainbow Dash a die a quick and painless death. One orange filly with a purple mane watched in horror when Rainbow Dash was revealed to be a employee within the nightmarish “Rainbow Factory”.
“Rainbow Dash!?” Scootaloo cried out in horror.
“Scoots!? What are you doing here? How could you have failed that test!? We practiced for months!”
“I'm sorry Rainbow Dash! I'm sorry I failed you!”
“It's okay kid!” Rainbow said with tears forming in her eyes. “You did your best!”
Hide heard and watched the conversation from the catwalk as two pegasus robot ponies led Rainbow to the device that will end her life. He snickered to himself as he ordered Scootaloo brought up to the catwalks, so she could get a front row seat to her mentor's death.
“Looks like we have our second victim of the day Rainbow.” he said with maddening glee. “Oh don't worry I'll make sure you two get a proper burial.”
Scootaloo sat on the catwalk, just as a machine grabbed Rainbow Dash by her hooves. Then two large needles came down and were placed right next to each other.
“Any last words traitor?” Hide asked as his hoof settled on the switch to start the machine.
“You'll never get away with this you monster!” Rainbow exclaimed as she was bound and couldn't do anything. “The Princesses will stop you! I just know it!”
“Sadly they are too afraid of what I can do if they even tried. So no that's not going to happen anytime soon Rainbow Dash. Remember what happened to the last attempt Princess Twilight Sparkle tried to take me down?”
Rainbow Dash knew he was right. The last time her friend and princess, Twilight Sparkle, tried to take down Dr. Hide Atmosphere. Was when she sent that robotic alicorn Nyx to fight. The battle didn't end well for Nyx. As Nyx was outnumbered, beaten then destroyed by one of Hide's pony robotic Pony Masters. Twilight had been trying to perfect her robots ever since and none would pass her tests. Rainbow knew and every foal knew they weren't going to leave that factory alive. Rainbow closed her eyes and sobbed as the needles punctured her chest right into her heart. She felt everything go numb as her blood was being drained at an alarming rate. Scootaloo was forced to witness her mentor's end. All she could do was try to look away and cry. Once Rainbow was drained completely, her body fell onto the floor with a sickening thud. If the draining of her blood didn't kill her, the floor would... Scootaloo was now grabbed by Hide and was bound by the Pegasus Device.
“So sorry about Rainbow Dash dear... But I had to do it... She told the Princesses our dirty little secret.” Hide said with some remorse in his voice. “But it was total coincidence you happened to be present when I was going to give her the consequences of turning traitor to my factory. You see, once you work down here, you must be loyal to me one hundred percent. Rainbow Dash was always loyal to you and her friends. It was a nasty habit of hers. Sadly looks like Rainbow didn't live to be in the Equestria Games, and neither will you... Looks like you won't be carrying the flag for Ponyville either.”
With that Hide gave Scootaloo a evil grin, before starting the machine. The last thing Scootaloo ever did in her life was scream in pure horror...

“AHHHHH!” Scootaloo sat up from her bed with a start. At least she thought it was a bed. Upon closer inspection she was laying on a metal table. She looked to her right and saw a pony sleeping under some white cloth.
“Could you please keep it down Scoots? I'm trying to sleep.” the mare said. Then the mare realized something lifted the cloth off of her. It was Rainbow Dash but she looked different. The cyan mare was still cyan, but her hooves and shoulders were covered with royal blue. On her head was the rainbow helmet she once wore as part of her custom designed grand galloping gala dress, that she forced Rarity to make for her. However there was a tinted visor covering her eyes. To which Rainbow slammed a hoof against her head and the visor raised up. Her eyes were the same pinkish color, and weren't glowing. Something was different about her though. Especially since she is laying on a metal table as well and the lights have been dimmed to almost darkness.
Rainbow took a look at Scootaloo, who looked similar to Rainbow Dash. Only her colors were orange and purple. Even the same style helmet was on Scoots' head, only it was colored purple.
“What happened to you Scoots?” Rainbow asked. “You look different...”
“I could say the same about you Dash.” Scootaloo said. “Last thing I remember I was being drained of all of my blood. Then it was total darkness until now.”
“Same here... Wait! You went through the machine after me!?” Rainbow shook her head. “That Hide is a true monster.”
“What is going on down here?” came the voice of Twilight Sparkle. “Don't you know...”
Her sentence was cut off by the sight of both ponies had awoken themselves.
“This is impossible...” Twilight said. “You two can't wake up on your own... I didn't even activate either of you yet... So how is this possible?”
“You got me Twilight.” Scootaloo said.
“What did you do to us anyway?” Rainbow exclaimed. “How could either of us be alive right now?”
“Well you're alive because I was trying bring you back from the dead by using robotics. Apparently it worked a little too well. Not only are you two alive, well and awake on your own. You two shouldn't have been a success. I was just about ready to give you a proper burial later today. But it appears my experiment was a success, and it only took three months.”
“We've been on these tables for three months while YOU of all ponies turned us into robots?”
“Umm... Yes...” Twilight said with a weak smile. “You see your bodies were dumped right on the Cakes' and Pinkie's front door. Literally their front door at Sugar Cube Corner. It was Derpy Hooves who first found you as she was getting some breakfast and lunch before going to work. Which drew every pony to Sugar Cube Corner. Even the mayor for crying out loud! Do you know how hard it was to convince the MAYOR to allow me to bring you two back here?”
“Exactly why did you bring us back and not just bury us and build a memorial?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“I did it because I believe you two deserve a second chance at life and a chance at revenge.”
“Go on we're listening...” Rainbow said.
“Well... Dr. Hide has not only been killing pegasi for who knows how long, but recently he has started to expand his terror to all of Equestria. Before you even told Celestia, Luna and me about the Rainbow Factory. He started to build robotic ponies on his own. He sent them out all over Equestria to cause as much destruction and chaos he could. His hopes are that he could usurp the throne, and take more foals than just test failures. He wants to use ALL foals to make rainbows. I once built an earlier robot pony, a alicorn I named Nyx code named Proto Mare. Unfortunately Hide is more organized and powerful than we thought. Nyx was destroyed and the photo graphic evidence was sent to confirm her defeat. For months I tried to build another one, but they all ended in failure, as if I couldn't reproduce the same results as Nyx. That was until I saw your bodies. I knew I could try and rebuild you into robots. So I spent the last three months doing just that. Now I know I was able to succeed with you two. Equestria now has a chance to fight back and win this time!”
“We're happy for you and all... But what are the chances we can succeed where Nyx failed?”
“Well there is two of you.” Twilight said. “Plus I included some experimental weapons that need to be tested during the day. So can we all go back to sleep?”
“We can try...” Scootaloo said.

It was daytime in Equestria. Applejack had to go start apple bucking season today. So she went out into the orchards to buck some trees for the harvest. However on her way to the first tree of the day, something flew past her faster than the wind. In fact two somethings flew past her at high speeds. Looking around, she saw nothing and went back on to apple bucking. Then Apple Bloom came running out, terrified...
“What's wrong Apple Bloom?” she asked her young sister.
“Did you see what just flew by us?”
“No but I sure did feel it Apple Bloom.” Applejack looked at the direction the two flying objects flew to and added. “I'm scared Apple Bloom... I must tell Twilight right away.”

“WHOO WHO!” Scootaloo said as both her and Rainbow Dash flew at very high speeds in the sky. Both had jet powered wings on their backs. An experimental weapon to hep both robotic pegasi to fly through the air at great speeds. A novel idea from Twilight in case both Rainbow Dash/Mega Mare and Scootaloo/Mega Mare X, had to fly to other cities to fight Hide's robotic Pony Masters.
“You said it squirt! Come on let's get back to Twilight and test our Buster Hooves!” Rainbow said with delight. Both Scoots and Rainbow had a Buster Hoof installed into their front hooves. The reason for two was that one just wasn't enough. A mistake Twilight learned when making Nyx. As she installed horn cannon in place of a unicorn's horn. It had enough power for just one Buster Hooves, so with two the robot ponies can deal double the damage of one horn cannon. Something would've Nyx's metal flank. However as they flew past the busiest street in Ponyville. Two pegasus ponies looked as they flew past. Both had metal parts grafted onto their bodies, including mechanical wings. One was a young purple mare and the other was a young brownish red stallion with a red mane held with a red head band. The two turned to each other and smiled with a collective nod. They knew what they had to do next...
