Chapter One: Equestria's Salvation

David was asleep in his cryo tube, a capsule designed to allow humans to travel across space without aging, on board the USNC Liberty. David was part of an elite squad of soldiers called O.D.S.T. or Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, they where the USNC's equivalence of Navy Seals. Little did he know, or anyone on the spaceship he was stationed on knew, but awaiting the UNSC Liberty was a Covenant ship, and soon fell under attack attack.

The Covenant was a group of multiple alien races.  There where the Grunts, dangerous in groups of ten to one, the banthafoder of the Covenant. Then you had your Jackles, often the sharpshooters of the Covenant, they proved deadly for their erratic running and speed, but where often picked off easily with a couple of well placed DMR rounds. Then you had the Drones, nasty little buggers, they could cause quite a mess in numbers, but still easily killed. Then you had the Engineers, prisoners of the Covies, but very good with electronics of both Human or covenant tech. You also had your Hunter, as dumb as a box of rocks, but strong as a Scorpion battle tank. Next you had your Brutes and Elites, both had a few class, from your basic soldier class, which proved tough to any ODST, then you had your Brute Chieften and your Elite Zelot, they could even prove tough to a Spartan.

As the Liberty fell under fire, alarms started to blare and the cryo tubes woke up every single soldier on the ship. But as fate would have it, David was sent out into space when the first plasma round hit the ship, he never was woken up. For thousands of years his cryo tube floated in the vast void and darkness of space. The Covenant, Humans, Flood and even the Forerunners, have been extinct for years. As Davids cryo tube floated through the vast emptiness of space, it was tugged towards a planet by gravity, and as fate would have it, to his new life.

-Planet Equis-

Waling out and crossing her arms, a older white furred mare with a multicolored mane and tail that seemed to blow in a non existent breeze. She smiled as she looked down at her younger sister. "Your moon looks absolutely stunning tonight, dear sister" Celestia said looking back up. Pausing, she saw something moving in the night sky. "What is that?"

"I see it two Celestia" Luna said as her wings flared out and her horn lit up, as the cryo tube started to fall into the atmosphere, it was stopped and brought to the surface of the world. "Sister!" Luna yelled. "There is somepony in here!" Sensing that the cyro tube was now in atmosphere, and a breathable one, its computer hissed and opened, letting its inhabitant fall out and onto the ground.

David soon found himself on the ground, gasping for breath, he looked up to see a pure white humanized horse, her hair and tail resembled a flowing rainbow of, her fur pristine white had she had magnificent wings on her back and a horn upon her forehead. Her body could rival the greatest super models of Earth. She raised her eyes as she looked at him. The soldier slowly stood, his black armor hiding every inch of his body except his fingers.

"What matter of creature are you?" another regal looking female said as she stepped over to David.

He took his helmet off and looked at the strange women. "I'm a human, where am I?" his vision still blurred from what cryo sleep. The women new much of humans, who created, where enslaved them over 13,000 years ago, and she lead a revolt in a war and killed off all humans.  Her eyes narrowed as she pinned the human with one hand.

"Listen human, I will not let you enslave my kind, I would kill you now if it weren't for the fact your kind are superior warriors" David struggled against her, damn she was strong, he felt his breathing become harder before she locked eyes with him, she gently let him go. "And, you don't seem like the others, your eyes, they still show a soul." She turned and walked away from him, it was now that he saw he was in what looked like a laboratory. Looking back into his eyes, Celestia thought ~but is that my only reason?~.

"Wait, miss. would you please tell me where i am?" David asked, stopping the pony women in her tracks.

The regal anthro turned and with a sly smile, one that could only be mastered by royalty, she spoke "you are in equestrian, on planet earth, the year is 13000, AH, after humans that is." She started to walk off, then look back "and you would be wise to call me Princess Celestia."

A guard walked into the room and spoke "fallow me" he said leading David to another room with only a bed and oil burning lamp. "Dr. Lyra Heartstrings will be here to examine you, your to do everything she says, if you comply, you'll be free to go." The door slammed shut, leaving David alone with his thoughts.

Still trying to comprehend everything that had happened since he woke up, letting out a sigh and David decided to lay down on the bed, a hay bed with a goose feather pillow, and looking a the lamp, noticing it was an oil burning lamp, he thought for a moment "do they not have technology?" David then closed his eyes and started to drift off into sleep, but was awoken by a mint fur colored women who only had a horn and a knowledge lust look in her eye bursting into the room through the door. He shot up out of bed but before he could say a word, she pulled the ODST off the bed, eager to study a human.

"By Celestia it's true!" The female said as she started to push David into the laboratory. There were now three ponies, as David thought of them as, two of the ponies were female, both looked very good as body shape went, if they where like humans, making David wonder why they where so close to human . One of the two females had an almost midnight blue fur wings and a horn, and who's tail and hair where also multi colored, he remembered her as the other regal looking pony. The other had yellow fur and pink hair, and seemed almost sheepish. Who smiled at the sight of the human. His attention soon turned to Lyra, who was in awe of him. "Wow a real human! How old are you!? What kind of human are you?! A Pegasus human, earth human or unicorn human?! Do you not have fur?! Do you have a cutie mark" noticing the emblem of ONI on his armor "what is this symbol? What does it stand for?" Lyra was only settled by the dark blue regal pony putting her hand on Lyra's shoulder.

"Settle Miss Heartstrings, we are as eager as thou to learn of this human" the blue unicorn pegasus said. "I am princess Luna, I am an alicorn like my older sister" she said with a light smile. "Tell me human, what are thou called? And why does thou wear armor?"

"I am ODST Sergent Smith of the UNSC, and for the armor, I am a soldier, my species was nearly whipped out by the Covies" he said and looked at the door. "but seeing as your not USNC or ONI personnel, you may call me David.

"Your a soldier?" Luna asked, his armor was not that of equestrian. She noticed this, and he stood her sisters height. "Are thou here to help with our war?" David didn't know this, but Equestria was on the verge of war with the Minotaira, the minotaur homeland, a country to the west.

"War? What war?" he asked. ~well, that explains the warrior part~ he thought ^dammit, what the hell are you hiding Celestia? I know you know something your not saying^ he thought.
