Blaze Blue vs Soul Stealer

Chapter 6

“You two, Celestia has asked us to take you to the City of fire so please board quickly so we may leave” said the Royal guard as he opened the carriage door. Blaze and Applejack boarded and were soon on their way. Applejack looked over to Blaze.

“I know you're not happy but thank you” Blaze looked away.

“Hay Applejack, do you remember what your school said about how the great war was started?” Applejack paused and thought.

“Well they said that there was once a fire lord who thought that the fire manes should rule so they went to war”

“Just what I thought, Celestia changed it” Blaze said unsurprised.

Applejack looked shocked, “What do you mean Celestia changed it?” she asked.

“Well you see, a few years back, I found a fire manes war journal it belonged to General Fire Hart. The king's right hoof man and he put that there was a drought in Equestria and the Princess wanted the fire manes to give up most of their food and supplies but they refused because they barely had enough food for themselves but the Princess was furious so she ordered the Pegasus to make it rain for sixty days which killed all their remaining crops and lead to the almost extinction of my race” Blaze explained as Applejack got more and more confused on which story to believe.

As they landed, Blaze and Applejack looked around the war torn city. The buildings were crumbled or completely destroyed. Blaze walked on, he didn't say a word but Applejack knew he was upset. As the to two continued they noticed a graveyard. Blaze looked as he could see all fire manes dying in front of him.

“Blaze are you alright?” Asked Applejack who was getting more concerned for Blaze.

He didn't reply, he just pulled a out a red flower and placed at the entrance the whispered something  before turning to Applejack..

“Come on Applejack” he said sorrowful.

When they made to the tower and began to climb up the large staircase.

“Are you sure this is a war tower? It has a library and what looked like a child's play area” Applejack continued to climb as Blaze looked at what was left of the city.

“Well this is a problem” Blaze went upstairs to see what Applejack was complaining about.

“What is it?” he asked.

“There only one small bed” Applejack stated.

Blaze looked around but he couldn't find another bed.

“Sorry AJ but I can't find anything bed related” Blaze look at Applejack with a bit of disappointment.

“Well that's too bad oh and I already called Celestia” Blaze smiled as he went on to the down stairs.

“A library this could be interesting” Blaze thought to himself as he entered.

As Blaze looked around, he found a large book under a glass dome.

“The law of the fire manes? Lets have a little look”

Blaze began to a look through until he noticed  a particular law.

“If the king/queen dies without an heir then a tournament will held to find the new king/queen and as I'm the last of my kind that makes me king” Blaze muttered to himself and continued reading.

“Huh, if peace is to be held between Equestria and the land of the fire manes then the fire mane prince/princess must marry the princess/prince of Equestria” Blaze paused as he began to chuckle.

“There's no way I'm marrying Celestia. Luna maybe, but no way i'm marrying that Royal mass murderer”

Blaze closed the book and went up stairs.

Later that night

“Howdy Blaze, I brought you some food”

Blaze smiled and continued looking out into the desolate wastelands.

“Why do you keep looking at it if it is making you upset?” asked Applejack.

Blaze sigh “It’s all I have left of my race and its just pile of rubble” Blaze looked at Applejack.

“Applejack do you believe my side of the story or hers?”

Applejack thought hard, “I don't know who to believe Blaze but I know how you feel right now” Blaze looked at her with curiosity.

“You feel alone that nopony understands the pain you felt and for most pony, you're right but I want to help you”

Blaze looked confused, “What do you mean?” he asked.

“I love you” she blurted out and instantly blushed in embarrassment.

Blaze stared at Applejack. He was confused and at the same time glad, “Really?”

“I wanted to tell you on hearts and hooves day but I missed you” Applejack continued.

“Hey after this is over and Rouge is stopped, I know a place not too far from ponyville. How about you and me have a congratulation date” Blaze suggested.

“Yeah sure, a little something to relax” Applejack said with a hint of sadness in her voice.

She knew Blaze didn’t feel the same way as she did.

The next day

Blaze was back on the roof he heard Applejack but didn't turn around.

“I thought I’d find you here” said Applejack as she stood next to him.

“I didn't hear you go to bed”

“I didn’t, I stayed up trying to find the truth but all I found was propaganda and now I'm more confused than ever”

Blaze looked annoyed, his mane was flickering more than usual. Applejack stared at him then whispered something in his ear.

“Are you sure?” Blaze asked.

Applejack nodded and left.

Blaze stared out at the ruins and thought to himself.

“Well that was an unexpected surprise but back to what I was doing. This is too much damage to be done by rain. If there was a fight here then why hide the journal? It doesn't make any sense. Who is right? Who started this war?” blaze yelled out. “WHAT HAPPENED HERE?”

Six days later

Time 02:43

The sound of footsteps echoed through the tower. Blaze and Applejack woke up

as Rouge entered the room.

“Aw young love, how sweet” he said overconfidently.

Blaze's mane flickered.

“Calm yourself Blaze, I'm not here to fight you”

“What do you mean?” Blaze snapped.

“I propose a team up, I know how sad your life is. Having your parents murdered by the stallion you trusted more than anyone told to kill for no reason and then forced to live life like a rat for a year while your co workers didn't. You’ve been treated like dirt and it’s all because of Celestia and together you can watch her die”

Blaze thought for a moment and began to laugh, “You know there is one thing that's keeping me from joining you and that is you said I could watch her die and that's not got going to work because I'm the only one that is going to kill her and that all I have to say to you”

Rouge glared at Blaze. “That’s a pity” Rogue.

He charged at Blaze who dodged out of the way. Blaze launched several fireballs at Rouge who jumped over them and slammed Blaze into the ground, the floor cracking below him. Blaze got up and bucked Rouge away as he charge the floor collapsed beneath them and the two fell. Rouge grabbed Blaze and they spun in the air as they crashed through the floors until they hit the bottom. Blaze shook off the dust and he charged and slammed Rouge into the wall and launched several more fireballs.

“You know, you're becoming a pain” growled Rogue.

Applejack finally made down stairs. Rouge started to build up energy. Blaze quickly grabbed Applejack and braced for Rogue's attack.

“It's time to end this! CHAOS BLAST!” Rouge released a massive explosion which engulf the entire tower. When it stopped, Blaze was out cold and Rouge walked up to Applejack who jumped up, adjusted her hat and braced for Rogue's attack. Rogue swung his foreleg, Applejack jumped back and then charged head first into him. Rogue stumbled back, Applejack span around and bucked him in the face. Rogue flew through the air and then rolled across the ground before colliding into the rubble. Rogue got up like nothing happened.

“What’s the matter? Did that big old attack make you all tired out” Applejack yelled as she charged again. she wailed on Rogue, not giving him a chance to attack but after every strike Applejack got more and more exhausted eventually she started to lose her balance.

“Ah, it seems like you can't take the heat without your boyfriend to lower the temperature. You're on a timer and it's about to run out”

Rogue smacked Applejack to the ground and the soul stealer opened up and Rogue stole her element and left.

“Celestia we need help” said Applejack as she passed out.
