The Draft

For three years Equestria has been at war with the 'zebra nation'. To supply the numbers needed for the army Luna & Celestia have commissioned a War Draft, any-pony from the age of 17-40 is to join, no questions asked.

Having lost all his friends to the Draft, Spike (now a bit older, but still only 15) decides to join the army and find his friends….

"I never thought that I would have to fight in this war, but I guess the news lied".

"Not 'every-pony' is safe from the draft, It will drag you in one way or the other"….

Spike exited the library tree that had been his home for seven years. He gazed outward at Ponyville and sighed. The happy town that he had lived in before now looked like a depressing post war zone, he didn’t want to leave but he had to, for Equestria, for his friends. He stretched the wings he had grown only a few years back and took to the air. He was leaving, with only the sword that shining armor had gave him and a photo of his friends standing alongside him. That was the last time they were all together before the war. He didn't know where half of there where now, thanks to the draft, but he was going to find out, and the only way to accomplish this was to join the army, and that was his plan. Just like that he was gone, never once did he look back.
