Mission 1- Tempting Darkness
Bright blue skies, birds humming in the background, people walking around on the streets. It seemed like life in New York had gone and smoothed its bumpy areas back in place. How they wish it were true. High up in the skies were helicopters, piloted by the most skilled soldiers BlackWatch had. The streets below were littered with troop patrols, tanks and carrier vans, all searching for one man: Jake White. He had been a test subject for BlackWatch, seeing if they could control the body that was infected. It was unintentional, but no matter. Their test ran in secret after the Heller event, but few outside the corporation knew of it. Jake had earned himself quite the reputation of being the new Prototype alongside his experimentation. It went far enough for him to rival Alex Mercer, the original Prototype, and earn him the nickname Hades. From the descriptions of this man, if they'd even call him that, he wore grey shoes, blue jeans that were slightly fading away, a grey shirt, red jacket with a black dragon imprint, a chain necklace, and sunglasses. His physical appearance beyond clothing were slightly, abnormal after his change. His brown hair turned to a bleached white, his eyes turning to a bloody red. His teeth became sharper, but still capable of a omnivorous diet. He seemed to gain a bit more, animalistic side to him. This was a change not seen in the previous Prototypes. To them, he was an animal that had to be out down, but is was the exact opposite for Jake. He was attached, stabbed, shot at, punched, etc, just for some cue tuts to scribble a few words down a damed piece of paper to do the same thing again later. But he wouldn't have any of that anymore, oh no, Jack had spent months planning this attack down to the exact nanosecond. He didn't want a major fuck up to happen. He'll end BlackWatch no matter the time it takes, for a life taken from him is not so easily forgiven, not is it repaid. He had spent enough time thinking, now was the moment of action." Tonight, you're going down BlackWatch, for good this time. I'm going to make sure nothing of you survives the living hell I'm about to unleash upon you." Jack says to himself, letting a dark and twisted laugh exit his lungs. He pulled the hood over his face as he made his descent to the enemy territory, unknowingly walking towards a death sentence.
[POV Switch: ???]
" Let me get this straight Dr.Keys. Your team found out the location of Hades AND believes they created a weapon that can stop him?" A low, yet still somewhat young voice echoed out in the dark room." Yes General. We know Hades better then any of you because who better to know him then the creators themselves, hm? Now back to the more, pressing matters, we have claims to believe we made a small, yet powerful nuclear devise that can wipe Hades off the grid, permanently, unlike the situations with Zeus and Heller." The doctor bellows out, his age seeming to take its toll on him." Good, this is very good. Have them prep the device immediately." The general replies." But sir, it's n--" The doctor is cut off as the general retorts," What better way to test it then on Hades himself? If it succeeds, we killed him. If it fails, the faulty device and explosion will still kill him. That is what it does, right Doctor?" He ends, a long, audible pause taking hold." In a matter, yes, it will kill him. You see, the new device creates a small rip in space, big enough to cause a miniature black hole effect on the surrounding area up to half a mile. We can't let any of us be near him when it goes off." The doctor explains. The general just lets a wicked smile creep upon his lips as he waves the doctor off, preparing for what's to come.
[POV Switch: Jack]
This is the place. A abandoned stadium building used a few years back to host some parts of the Olympics and a football championship prior to that event. But that was in the past, this is now. I jumped of the building at high speeds, my arms and legs outstretched to help me glide across the humongous gap in between. It was always a calming feel to me, gliding like this over New York. It's also the great, wonderful things like this that make me way to have wings and just fly around all day, not a care in the world. A minute or two passes and I feel the concrete beneath my feet once more," And there goes the happy bliss..." I mutter out, venom slowly dripping out along the words. I walk over to the ledge, taking a look at what was happening below. On the ground I can see about half an army of troops, most of which are the new version of the scrapped Odin project." Damn, that's just what I hoped they wouldn't use." I whisper to myself, knowing even the slightest mistake could fail this mission." Well let's get cracking.....in level one!" I yell out, jumping out into the air as I begin my assault on the grounds troops below.' Fuckers will never guess the spikes coming from the ground. Gets 'em every time.' I think to myself, thrusting my hammer fist into the ground even further, fulfilling the exact motion I was just thinking of." SIR!! Subject Hades had entered the co--GAH!" The soldier cries out, my tendrils swirling him up as his body explodes, lengths of long biomass latching onto any possible object they can find as they rope it back in. More soldiers pop into my position, weapons firing away as I take them down, one by one. It's always amused me to see them try so hard to kill moi, but like the rest of their comrades, they'll die trying." Come on! Is th-OOF!" I yell out, a large chunk of concrete smashing into my chest, throwing me to the ground below. A new version of the Odin project, a even bulkier, larger, and more menacing upgrade steps into my view. He points a single finger at me before bellowing out a few simple words," YOU WILL DIE!!", and proceeds to rush at me. I roll just in time to dodge him, my arms quickly shifting to the great and powerful Bio-Blade as I call it. The shape itself is unique to each Prototype that uses it. Mine is six feet long and four feet wide, a hole is identified in the center followed by smaller blade like sections sticking out on the blades edge itself so it can tear up my foes insides. But that's not it, oh no, t is also capable of being used as a boomerang if I charge enough biomass to launch it in a sphere like motion." Just try me." I growl to the soldier, launching myself in the air as I do a backflip and swing myself down with a loud yell. My mind grew hazy over our battles time, down to the point of me being exhausted. I can't count the amount of times my blade went straight into him or the amount he pinched, kicked, or broke my blade. Needless to say, I'm tired as shit." SIR! Subject Hades is in a vulnerable position! The new weapons ready for launch!" A voice nearby calls out. A deeper, much more older voice replied with only two words," Do it.". I don't know what they meant by that, but I'm not sticking here to find out. I go to move, but instead find myself smashed into the ground by the same Odin soldier from before." You're not going anywhere freak! This weapon will kill me, this I know, but you?*chuckles* I have no idea." He says darkly, the venom easily dripping in his voice. I quickly engage the muscle mass ability and throw him off me, shifting to the claws just as easily," We'll see about that." I respond, the malice quickly identified by the mutated soldier. He lets out a roar of primal rage, charging at me like a bull seeing red. Our fight seems to go quicker then before, both of out fatigue clearly showing, him more so. My reflexes capture his motion, rolling out of the way just in time as I slash his back with my claws. I can his scream, along with the rest of the base," Oh that was pathetic." I say, looking at the dead man behind me. While they may have brought Odin projects back, it certainly stayed a failure, especially if their weakness is the back. Very bad area to choose people. May as well put up a kick me sign as well. I look over at the other soldiers, fear easily seen in their eyes. I chuckle to myself, reshaping my claws to hands before letting a single word slip from my lips," Boo." Is all say before the mass crowds of enemies begin rushing towards me. I run forward as well, shifting my right arm back to the famed ArmBlade that I love. Using some of my already built up momentum, I shift my body weight to the left , throwing my body to the right faster then a bullet as a tornado of death rolls through most of the soldiers. The biomass extending from my body laps up any of the dead soldiers near me, replenishing my used biomass and health to a stable condition. I take a quick look around to notice few soldiers are still near me, the rest all fleeing with one of the commanders holding a radio.*chuckles*" Wonder what that idiots up to." I say softly, lunging at the closet BlackWatch troop, ripping him limb form limb like a knife through warm butter." Sir! The Blacklight nuclear missile, code name E-3 BNM, is ready for launch, sir!" A voice cries out." Copy that lieutenant! Fire at will!" A scruffy, older voice shrieks. A barrage of bullets from nowhere begin to rain on me, splitting my body to a bloodied sack of flesh riddled with holes." FIRE THE E-3!" The same voice commands, a soldier shortly after following the order. The E-3 launcher looks like a standard RPG launcher, but the front is bigger by at least three times, and the warhead itself is already planted."FIRE!!!" Shouts out the scruffy voice, accompanied by a single rocket propelled nuke being launched. I would have dodged, but a barrage of bullets raining hell into my body causing a helluva lot of holes in my body? Yeah, that shit takes a while, even for a Prototype. I guess this is how I die then. Defeated by human technology, just the way this disease I carry was created. In some ways, it's irony, in others it's just stupid ass logic. I had a good run I guess. Have fun Earth.....you'll need if BlackWatch takes over.
