Twilight had always warned Apple Bloom that she should be very careful with potions. If they aren't made just right they can lead to catastrophic consequences. The filly was never too worried about it until she learns the hard way that potions can have unexpected effects.
More specifically, she accidentally creates a carnivorous apple tree with just one goal: avenge every single apple ponykind has ever eaten.
