Chapter 1 the worst day ever
Midnight Blaze was walking through the town of Preston, lonely and also a bit depressed, mainly because of everything that had happened to him that day.
It was getting to be that bad that he had a mental list.
Picked on again because of his name
Picked on for not being as strong as everyone else
Beaten up and tossed into a bin full of the schools rotting garbage
Made fun of in class for answering one question right (I mean seriously ONE!)
Being suspended for finally being tired of Mat Johnson bullying no one but himself and smashing him in the face with a chair.
and last but not least getting thrown out of the care home for no reason at all.
His parents had died in a hit n run when he was younger, apparently his father had tried to stop them peacefully by talking to them and was shot in the face, his mother had gone into a fit of rage and had run at the men, she was trained in karate so she had broken one of the men's necks, she was then shot in the stomach by one of his accomplices  who was wielding a shotgun, they died in that bank and Midnight was sent to live at the local orphanage.
The people that were supposed to 'look after him' beat him, ignored him and basically forgot that he existed. All of the other kids that were there hated him, the smaller kids that were under six didn't really understand why nobody liked him and they probably didn't care, the older ones that were usually in their teens would push him over while they were walking, beat him up when nobody was looking (not that they would have cared) and overall make his life a living hell.
School was pretty much the same, he got good grades (A+'s and A*'s) but the teachers didn't seem to care. All of the nerds stayed away from him and all the jocks bullied and hit him. When he walked past any girl they would laugh at him and move to join others in a group.
Apart from that life, was great!
He was wearing some black skinny jeans, grey t-shirt, a hoody with the hood pulled up and some small boots.
He had been walking for at least an hour now only stopping to look for cars before crossing the occasional road. Why did life hate him? It was like everything he did and everything he tried to achieve was crushed, destroyed and finally dropped in the bin, blocked off from the world.
Well at least he had something to look forward to, his only friends, Crimson inferno and Teal cyclone had told him to meet them at their usual spot, which was a rundown park near the overgrown part of the city, telling him that they had something to show him that would brighten up his day.
Considering all that had happened today and the fact that it was 10:30 at night that seemed highly unlikely.
As he approached the few bushes that cover the entrance to their secret den he heard a massive 'SPLASH' he ran through only to see a few minor ripples coming from the pools center.
Next to the water inside a hole in an unbelievably tall tree was a piece of paper attached via a piece of sellotape with a symbol for fire, wind and darkness emblazoned on it.
This was the tape that he and his friends had made together, it was manufactured so that they would know whether a letter was junk or from each other, yes it may have seemed babyish but hey it was handy when the others were on holiday with their family going to parties and getting hot chicks to go back with them so they could errrrr errrrrm anyway getting back to the story.
Midnight walked over to the tree and pulled off the note it read, 'Midnight, what you are about to read is extremely important. Now you may have heard us jump into the lake, no, we have not just committed suicide, we have traveled to where we came from originally, we did not tell you much about ourselves for a reason and that is because we are not from your world'
"not from my world, what the hell is that supposed to mean", he said quietly to himself
'Yes like we said not from your world now shut up and read on, we originally came to your world because we wanted to explore,unfortunately the portal only connected to one place,(which was a bit of a downer) so we decided to explore, that's when we met you and because our names were different to standard ones ,much like yours, we thought that we would hang out with you, now we know what you've been going through and we know it's been tough but, we promise that if you jump through the portal (which is the pool), everything will get a lot better.
Crimson and Teal'
Midnight was left with the derpiest look on his face (not dissing derpy hooves in any way, shape or form)
"Okay I am really confused right now. So, my friends are from another dimension and if I want everything to get better I have to jump into a murky, disgusting pool probably filled to the max with viruses and parasites"
He thought about for a good few minutes.
Ok so i have no family, everyone here hates me and i'm homeless, I guess I have nothing else to lose.... but what if something goes wrong, what if I don't go through the portal and I drown, that wouldn't be very nice.
No you know what I trust my friends.
"Okay well then here goes nothing"
He stepped back a few feet and then ran as fast as he could towards the pool.
"YOLOOOOOOO"
For a few seconds he fell and then a white light engulfed him and he was left completely unconscious.
Chapter 2 unexpected changes
Midnight Blaze woke up with an extreme pounding in his head, the kind of pounding that you get after you've had way too many beers at your friends party and found out that your not in your own bed.
He heard a faint noise which sounded like someone talking, he couldn't hear properly because of the annoying buzzing in his ear.
"Midnight helloooooooooo"
"Do you think we should chuck some water on him"
"That's one idea but we could just slap him"
"Hah yeah that would be funny"
"ooooh my head" Midnight exclaimed
"oh hey look he's waking up, seriously 'sigh' dude put the water down"
"oh man so close"
Midnight picked himself up off the floor and got accustomed to the brightness of the light.
"Damb man how bright is the fricken sun"
He looked around and saw a sight that made him utter a simple "HELL YEAH".
There, stood only a few feet away was Crimson inferno and Teal cyclone looking at him trying to keep back laughter.
"Hey guys how's it goin, you know I thought you were crazy back there with the note, wait" He suddenly stopped noticing their expressions.
"guyyyyys, what've you done now"
He looked down at himself and stood in shock for a few seconds.
He was dressed all in pink from his head to his toes, even his hats emblem was pink.
"OH FOR GODS SAKE, YOU SONS OFurgh"
His mouth was covered by Crimson.
"Okay okay we get it man your angry but better not attract much attention seen as the state your in" Crimson said trying to stop himself from laughing uncontrollably.
Crimson let go of midnight and midnight gave him a dig in the arm.
"Okay you guys, jokes over, now where the hell are we" midnight said dusting himself down.
"well we're definitely going to tell you but for the minute come with us, we're going to take you to our old secret hideout" Teal said.
When they got to the hideout (which was just a small wooden house near the local forest) Crimson and Teal gave midnight back his old clothes and he changed into them as fast as he could discarding the pink clothes in the bin.
"Okay guys it's time to tell me where we are" Midnight insisted
"Okay so were are in a place called equestria,in a city called ponyville" Crimson explained.
"Ponyville, well that isn't the weirdest name I've ever heard"
"Yeh a really really really long time ago stuff happened and the town was named ponyville it's confusing" said Teal with a scrunched face he was finding it hard to explain.
"Anyway this is where we lived before we came to your world"
"Right so before we go any further there is something that I have to ask you" said crimson
"what is it" asked Midnight
"Do you want to move from your old world to this world" Crimson said with a look of utter seriousness on his face
This was one of the easiest decisions he had ever had to make in his life.
"You know what guys, I'd be an idiot to say no"
After that there was a lot of Hoorays and Crimson explained some of the things that they were going to do today.
Tour around town.
Get some food.
"Oh and also were going to have to get you into the school here" Crimson said
"Oh no I knew that there would be a catch if I was going to live here"
"Yeh sorry about that but hey if you don't then you're going to have to stay here all day waiting for us"
"I know that I have to go but, it's just, what if it's like the school back on earth and"
Teal butted into the conversation "dude chill out, trust me us two had a few friends here and there before we went to your world and they're still here, when they see you with us they'll think your cool"
"Okay I believe you, but I'm still going to be a little wary when we get there" Midnight said sounding a little nervous.
"Nice man now let's go get some food i'm starvin"
They got up from the hammocks that they had been lazing around on and walked out of the wooden door, Midnight was assaulted by the light yet again and had to shield them for a moment or two.
Teal noticed this "dude you're really living up to your name right now you know"
"Hey what can I say i'm more of a night guy, the dark is cool"
"dude your starting to sound like some messed up evil villain"
"ah shut up Teal"
After walking for a while they came to a weird gingerbread type building.
"Okay let me guess this is where were going to get something to eat" Midnight asked
"Oh no were not getting food here at all" Teal said in a sarcastic voice
The group went into the cafe and sat down at a table looking out of the window, Midnight sat there staring into space thinking about all that had happened in this short space of time, Well thing's should start to look up from here, hopefully, anyway... "Hey Midnight snap out of it 'click' 'click' helloooo" Crimson clicked his fingers in front of midnight's face.
"Huh what, what's wrong" Midnight said with a surprised look.
"Would.you.like.some.fish"
"Uh yeah sure that would be great"
They waited a while for their food to get to them talking about little things like what Crimson and Teal had actually done in this new world before they went to earth, it was pretty normal for them, their day usually consisted of school, food, sleep with the occasional trip into the forest to hang out.
Not long after they had finished talking a random girl with pink hair appeared out of nowhere and put their food down next to each of them, she took one look at the group and let out a loud 'GAAAAAAAASP' then whizzed off leaving a small cloud of smoke where she was standing leaving Midnight with a look of complete confusement.
"What the hell was that about" he exclaimed
"ah don't worry about pinkie pie she just gets a little excited when she see's new people and since your new and we just got back from earth she's bound to arrange a party for us" Teal said
"Wait you know her" Midnight said
"wait, actually you know, i'm not surprised seen as your a bit weird"
"Hey I take that to heart you know" Teal scowled
"Don't worry he'll be fine after a while he just needs some spaghetti" Crimson whispered to midnight.
"Okaaaaay"
The group finished what they were eating and got up, Crimson paid because Midnight had no money and Teal was just too lazy, Midnight saw the currency that Crimson was using and looked at it for a while with a questioning look.
"Hey Crimson what's with the money your using, it doesn't look like anything off earth"
"well duh of course it's not like the money off earth, last time I checked we're not on earth but I know what you mean" He took some of the shiny coins out of a little bag on his belt and showed them to Midnight.
"These are called bits and it's the currency that all of the people here use"
"Gotcha now I at least know what i'm supposed to use"
With that they headed off to find some of Crimson and Teals other friends.
