After studying old journals written by Star Swirl the Bearded, Twilight discovers a spell that he had used long ago may have interconnected their world with another. While attempting to re-create the same spell Twilight and the rest of the mane six find themselves stuck in the human world, and transformed into human doppelgangers of their previous selves.

As the cast discover about the human world, their popularity in it, and how it is connected to their own world, the must also attempt to find a way to get back home or end up getting stuck *insert Pinkie Pie voice* FOREVER.
