Repose of A God: Issue II
Chapter 1: When Life Give You Lemons...
Chapter 1: When Life Gives You Lemons....
(3rd person)
The whole house was extremely quiet, not even the snores of the dog sleeping on the soft couch weren't heard at all. The golden orb that made up the sun, was shining very brightly for a winter day and the rays reflected off of the black surface of the tables, making the room brighter than before. If anyone had been sitting alongside the pitbull at that time, they would've smelled the faint remnants of a certain cannabis plant, and burning lavender incense.
Suddenly, the dogs eyes shot up and turned her head towards the door, as there were a series of clicks coming from a couple of locks. The wooden door swung open, releasing a large amount of sunlight into the house. Springing up from the sofa, the brown and white furred pit bull started jumping up on the person who walked inside the house.
"Ok, ok, Leia, calm down." The male said, struggling to get the large dog to stop jumping. The recently named canine then sat right in front of him, almost making him trip and fall. The adolescent teen regained his bearings, and then shifted the heavy red messenger bag off his shoulder and let out a heavy sigh of relief. He then turned towards the dog, and noticed a foul odor coming from her direction, before realizing it was the dog herself.
“Phew! Looks like you're gonna need a bath soon, Bean.” After saying that, the teen placed his headphones back on his ears, letting the remix he had listened to countless times drown out his surroundings. As he walked off down the stairs, and into his room, he shut the door, just letting the music play. Flopping onto his bed, he sighed in relief as the drowsiness seeped into his bones.
Pushing himself off the soft-as-hell bed, he slugged over to the mirror to see how he was looking. His almost pure white hair was brushed over his left eye, obscuring the crimson abomination that scared most people away from him. He shook his head as he continued to observe himself: his skinny, almost skeletal physique, the black coat that had numerous patches from various bands, ranging from punk rock to electronic, as well as the t-shirt with his own custom design on the front. It was an image of a hooded figure looking down and reaching out towards a lotus flower as it went down a river bank. He shook his head once more and proceeded towards the bed once more.
However, as he closed his eyes, he didn't notice a thick, black, smoke cloud sneak into his room and hide off in the corner. As it hid, a dark voice could faintly be heard, whispering:
“It's time for his lineage to be awoken, one way or another.”
(Elsewhere, in another world)
In the world of Equestria, the land of colorful talking bipedal equines, the once orange sky had turned a dark blueish purple, as Celestia's sun had just fallen to make way for Luna's moon. The cool blanket of darkness shadowed the quiet town of Ponyville, as the residents had all turned in... Well, all except one.
A grey furred, blonde haired pegasus walked down the earthen path, leading towards the outskirts of town. Her crossed, wonky amber eyes had a pained expression painted on them, as she looked back on her past. The person that she sought as a great friend, perhaps even more in her eyes, had just ended their relationship and it was because of what she thought to be, one of the stupidest reasons: the way he had perceived her as a pony: a stupid, clutzy, irresponsible mare, and above all else, an incapable mother. If that didn't add any more to the raging inferno that represented her problems, she didn't know what could be worse.
She then stopped walking and just kept gazing at the darkened sky. A tear then escaped her eye and fell into the river that ran under the bridge she soon found herself standing on.
"If there really is any form of kindness in the world.... Please...”, The lone tear then began turning into a stream that seemed to have no end.
“I need to know...”
Her quiet, broken voice echoed through the night sky, as she sobbed uncontrollably into the sleeves of her dark gray hoodie. Little did she know, a shooting star had passed by as she spoke, and things would never be the same in Equestria...
(Back on Earth)
As Cody kept listening to music, his eyelids started to grow heavy and he slowly fell into a deep slumber. Not a minute later, the dark cloud suddenly shot up and darted over to his position. It started to creep up and around his legs, like an anaconda about to constrict it prey, and slowly began to wrap him in a midnight black cocoon.
As the shadowy mist was about to cover his face, the teen's eyes suddenly shot wide open. Terrified as he was in his current state, he tried moving, but avast, his body could not respond. After the dark cocoon wrapped around the entirety of his head, a dark purple flash occurred, and the male was no longer in his room. The only things that remained were the black headphones blasting music, and a plastic ID card with the name ‘Cody F. Clarkson’ on the bed sheets.
(First person: Cody)
......
.....Why do I feel wind on my face? Why do I feel like I'm falling?
Those two thoughts flowed through my head as I started coming to my senses. My body was currently paralyzed, only the only parts of my body that would move were my eyes and neck.
I couldn't stop shaking, it was as if something was changing my body, both on the outside, and from within. I could even feel my bones start to shift around as well, cracking and form into something else. Why could I not feel my fingers, though? I tried opening my once closed eyes and found myself diving head first into the ground. Wait... Falling to the ground?!?
Well, guess that explains part of the shaking, but I saw something else as well. It looked a lot like a... person with grey skin....and Blonde hair? I must be seeing things, but to be perfectly honest, I managed to shout out the only intelligible thing I could...
(Third person, once again)
“MOTHER FUUUU-!!!!!"
*BOOM*
A huge cloud of dust covered the area as well as a crater forming where the now changing human had landed, and the mysterious mare lowered her hands from her face and rushed over to the crash site. What she saw shocked her to the very core.
Inside the five foot deep crater, lay a half transformed bipedal figure with large patches of peach fur covering most of the body. It’s face morphing into one of a stallion, from what she could guess at the moment. The muzzle was just about finished, all the while a long tail was just growing out of the garments that were now shredded, and barely clinging onto his body. He then suddenly jerked so he was lying on his stomach, as two growths on his back burst in an explosion of blood and white feathers, as well as a sickening barrage of snaps and cracks.
“AAAHHHH!!!” The being tried out, as two peach, blood soaked wings erupted from his shoulder blades. Followed along with the wings, his knees suddenly collapsed with a loud pair of cracks, taking shape of the hind legs of equine nature, making him scream even louder.
The hair on top of his head grew longer, the female present noticed that it was a very pale gray and had somehow managed to cover his left eye completely. The mostly changed being looked up, his right, sapphire blue eye just straining to remain open as he uttered three words before falling unconscious.
“...F-f..fuck m-my life...."
The mare just looked at the now knocked out, transformed stallion in horror at what she just had just seen with her own eyes. A being just suddenly fell from the sky after making her wish, and she had also witnessed a transformation that was most likely unheard of, horrifying to say the least. Shaking her head back and forth, she then slid down carefully towards the stallion and awkwardly managed to place him on on her back, starting to make her way back home, confused all along the way. The only thought that seemed to make some form of sense that echoed in her head was:
‘I just can't leave him out here in the open...’
However, while she carried the blood soaked, beaten up stranger to her cabin, Ditzy didn't notice one final change to the strange being: a faint purple glow showing a picture of a red lotus flower under a grey cloud, on both rear legs.
