Before I became fourteen, I was mostly home-schooled. Then Coconut Bliss decided I should start interacting with others other than those at the orphanage. So she enrolled me, and today is my first day at Ponyville High.  Coco comes into my room. "Are you ready?" "Almost Coco." ""Don't forget your breakfast." "Okay." After breakfast, I head off to Ponyville High. There's supposed to be somepony to show me around. He quickly finds me. His name is Crossbow. He's a stallion with a black coat, light gray mane, and blue eyes. "Are you Stardust Shine?" "Yes." Ever heard of love at first sight? Well, that's what happened. Yep. I immediately fell for him. I mean, he is one likable stallion. Anyway, he is my tour guide. After about a third of the tour, Crossbow had to go to the bathroom. I started to wander around. All of a sudden, "Help, somepony, PLEASE." I followed the voice and saw a mare with a minty green coat and golden yellow braids on the floor, bleeding. "I can't believe there are actually bullies at this school..." "GREAT JOB! Did you figure it out all by yourself?" I turned around to see three mares behind me. In the middle was a mare with a fiery red coat and an orange mane held up by a hair-tie with a big ruby. On the left was a mare with a gray coat and a sky blue mane. On the right, a mare with a bubblegum pink coat and a multicolored lavender and golden mane. "HEY RUBY! She's new!" "Let's beat her up!" "Girls, girls, calm down... LET'S BEAT HER UP!" About seven minutes later, I'm sprawled on the floor next to the green mare, bleeding. When I open my eyes, a red mare with a pink and white mane is staring at me. She isn't the one from earlier. "Are you okay?" she asks. "W-what happened?" "You were beaten up by the three biggest bullies in the school. Flaming Ruby, Crystal Wave, and Glittering Rose." "Stardust, are you in here?" Crossbow peeks his head through the door. "Yeah?" I turn around, then I start blushing. It was kind of embarrassing. "Are you ready for the rest of the tour?" "Y-yeah..." Finally, were at the end of the tour seven minutes before school actually starts. I had to get there early for the tour. "And finally, the lockers. You can decorate it if you want." "Okay..."  After a bit of magic, my cutie mark is on my locker. "I'm ready for you to take me to class!" It's Flaming Ruby. "All right, all right, all right. Just hold on a sec." Wait a minute. They're...TOGETHER????!!! I feel like my heart just shattered into a million pieces... "Here's your class schedule. Hope to see you in the next class!" "Y-yeah..." Then he and Flaming Ruby walk away. I look at my list. Apparently, Ponyville High classes are split into two days, having eight periods. You have four classes the first day, and the other four the next. It goes on, and on, and on. I look at my schedule. English, Reading, Science, Drama Tech, Art, P.E., Math, and History. Unfortunately, Crossbow wasn't in any of the four classes I had today. After school, I sit on the grass in front of the school, thinking about my first day. Then the memory of Crossbow and Flaming Ruby together comes into my mind. I start crying. Then I feel something weird come upon me. Something... evil. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Beginning //-------------------------------------------------------// The Beginning Faraway in Canterlot, a unicorn was born. She had a coat as blue as sapphires. A mane that was as purple as amethysts with a pink outline like rose quartz. Eyes that were as green as emeralds. Her name was Stardust Shine. That's me. Anyways, my parents were both astronomers. Their names were Midnight Star and Blue Comet. Midnight Star was my mom, and Blue Comet was my dad. Now you know about me. Time to get to the real stuff. When I was two, my parents decided to take me to Ponyville. That's when it happened. My parents made a mistake of going through the Everfree forest. We heard faint snarls. And then, right in front of us, were Timberwolves. My parents told me to run. I tried to protest, but they didn't listen. So I ran. Then one of the three wolves started chasing me. Luckily, my dad blasted the wolf with a beam, giving me enough time to run and hide in the bushes. When the sounds of the Timberwolves were gone, so were my parents. They were... dead. With a low hanging head, I slowly made my way out of the forest, into Ponyville. Then a mare with a yellow coat, brown mane, and green eyes came up to me. Her name was Coconut Bliss. "Where are your parents?" she asked me. "I don't know," I said."I'm lost." That's when she took me in. I now live at the Ponyville Orphanage. She was only a teenager when I was two. She often helped out there. She runs the place because she's older now. And so am I. I am now fourteen years old. //-------------------------------------------------------// One Surprise, and Not a Good One //-------------------------------------------------------// One Surprise, and Not a Good One The next day of school, I'm still thinking about Crossbow and Flaming Ruby, TOGETHER. Why Crossbow would even be with her is what I don't understand. When I walk into the school, WHAM! When I open my eyes, I'm both surprised and slightly embarrassed. "Sorry, Are you alright?" It's Crossbow. "I'm fine." "Are you sure? You look like you've been crying." It's true. I cried until I fell asleep last night, and cried a bit on my way to school. A wave of anger and irritation washes over me. "I TOLD YOU I'M FINE!" I get that weird, evil feeling again. Then the feeling leaves again. I realize my muzzle is touching his. I knew he was trying to help me. I start blushing, a LOT. What surprises me is how he starts blushing too. I pull away quickly. Out of the corner of my eye I see Flaming Ruby. But I really don't care. I'm actually kinda happy I got that close to Crossbow. All of a sudden, "Hm?" I'm suddenly levitating by a blue magic aura. It's not me though. My magic aura is green. "What do you think you're doing?!" I blink a few times. "Huh?" "You can't stay near Crossbow. Flaming Ruby could really hurt you." It's a mare with a snow white coat and a bubblegum pink mane held up by a red hair-tie. I roll my eyes slightly. "She already has." I turn around. "Hey, what's your name?" "Oh, I'm Scissor String." She smiles. RRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! "There's the bell. I guess we better head to class. See you later!" I start walking to class. The teacher starts to introduce me. "Welcome to your fifth period class. I am Ms. Burst." (That stands for Color Burst.) "We have a new student joining us today. Stardust Shine." "Hi?" I look around the class for Crossbow. I find him. Sitting in the front middle table with Flaming Ruby and her friends.
