THORN
12/30/32
I woke up from my nap nervous, my mind already racing for what was to come today. I was so out of sorts that it took me a few moments to realize where I was, my normal room replaced with the spare bedroom in Datura's house.
I got to my hooves and stumbled around. I still wasn't used to waking up so late in the day but Dad had always talked about me spending time with the bat ponies, and I guess this was it. "This is it." I mumbled to myself as I found my bag. My heart fluttered as I remembered what happened yesterday.
It was going to happen, it was finally going to happen and it was going to be with a friend. A bit of a distant friend, a friend who I never saw during the day, but a friend regardless. I felt horridly sick as I pulled my pants over my hooves and pulled my tail through the hole in the back. Once that was sorted I found a tee shirt, quickly abandoning it for a white collared shirt, something like what my dad would wear.
I felt fake as I looked in the mirror. What if she laughed at me, what if she just wanted to make fun of me, I mean she's like me but who's to say she's not just lying!? My thoughts raced as I paced around the room. What if I'm not her first, I don't know if I can-- My thoughts were interrupted by someone banging on the door.
"Thorn? You okay in there, I can hear you pacing." Datura's voice broke my hooves clopping. "Thorn...you can talk to me you know. Luna knows I did the same for your father."
My brain lit up at the prospect of her help. She would know what to do, or at least she would have a better idea.
I fixed my hair the little bit that I could and walked out of the room. Datura was standing about even with my ribs as I walked past her. "Dear Luna you really are tall. I thought maybe the pony in you would make you short but nope." Datura smiled softly as she looked me over. "You look nervous." her smile faded as she spoke. "Everything alright?"
I ran my hand through my hair, a few rose colored strands coming free as I did. "Uh...I'm not that tall. I think it's just because you never stand on two legs. I mean if you stood on two legs you'd probably be as tall as my dad."
Datura saw right through my stalling. "Thorn...really? I'm not some old women, you can talk to me."
I looked at the floor and started towards the stairs. "I know...but I wish my dad was here."
Datura trailed slowly behind me. "I'm sure I can help you while he's gone. I mean I can't help you until you tell me what's wrong, but that's up to you."
I spotted the couch in her living room and sat down. Datura took the seat across from me and sat patiently. I twiddled my thumbs as I tried to come up with the right phrasing. "Datura...have you ever...no...you've had...uh.... What I mean is...."
"Oh dear." Datura's expression dimmed. "Thorn...are you planning something with somebody?"
I gave an indecisive shake of my head. "I mean I wouldn't say it's planned."
Datura let out a soft sigh. "Anybody I might know?"
I gave up and sunk back into my seat. "A satyr named Wight."
Datura smiled just enough to show her teeth. "Aw I love Wight! Such a sweet filly." Datura's expression fizzled again. "And this is your first time...isn't it."
"N-no!"
Datura got to her hooves again. "Well then I guess you're an expert and you don't need my help."
I froze in my seat. "Wait, wait, wait!" I nearly jumped out of my seat. "I uh--"
"That's what I thought." Datura hopped back in her seat. "Now, I'm not going to tell you anything I don't know, and I won't answer anything you don't ask me. So, ask away."
I leaned forward, letting my elbows rest on my thighs. "What do I do!? I mean what if she bites me!?" I freaked as my mind raced with everything that could go wrong.
Datura stuck her hoof out and flared her leathery wings. "Thorn!" Her voice shook me out of my haze. "Calm down." she cooed as she folded her wings and sat back down. "We're bats, not vampires."
I felt my face flush as I looked away. "Sorry...that wasn't good of me."
"No it wasn't. Now are you two going on a date? What's your plan here, do you think you're just going to go at it like bunnies?"
"What!? No!" I could feel my face burning as she stared at me. "I don't know. We met at the camp and we kept in touch. Now it's like...we.... She asked if I wanted to hang out at night, maybe stay over. Did I interpret that wrong!?"
Datura shook her head. "Thorn...don't worry. Let me ask you this, do you feel ready?"
I was stopped mid thought as her question rattled around my brain. "I uh...." I took a deep breath. "I don't know."
Datura nodded twice and stood up. "Wait here okay."
I stayed put as Datura went out the front door. She took a long time to get back, long enough for me to find a bag of fresh jerky in her kitchen and snag it. By the time she got back I was nearly done with the entire bag. I stuffed it between the couch cushions as Octavia joined us. "Um, why is she here?" I asked nervously.
Datura whispered in Octavia's ear before the two of them took the seats beside me. Octavia was the first to break the awkward silence that surrounded me. "Did Vincent never tell you about sex?"
I felt my slacks tug at me as I started burning up. "I uh- why would you ask me that?! Of course I know about sex, I've just...you know, never done it."
Octavia cocked an eyebrow and leaned over me. Datura did the same. "Well then, since you're the expert on Satyr sex, why don't you tell us?"
"Indeed." Datura added as she leaned against me.
I could feel my heart beating out of my chest as they pressed themselves against me. "I don't uh...can I just g--"
"Thorn." Octavia called as her hoof graced my thigh.
I let out a soft squeak before clearing my throat. "Yeah." my voice cracked hard.
"What's the Capitol of Saddle Arabia?"
I froze as my entire being was overcome with confusion. "Uh, Iron ro-r-r-r--" I stuttered as something nipped at my ear. I crossed my arms over my groin as the mares continued to tease me. "Please stop...."
"Thorn." Datura called with lust in her voice. "You missed a button, can you fix it?" she poked my shirt with her hoof, highlighting the missing button.
I hurried and tried to fix it. The mares continuing to nip and prod me as I tried to fix it. My shaking hands fumbled and had a horrid time but eventually I got it done. Octavia rested her head on my shoulder. "Thorn, how do you feel right now?"
I swallowed the lump in my throat. "I feel like you're trying to molest me!"
Octavia let out a long held breath as the two lifted themselves from me. "Now, let me ask one last thing." Datura said as she returned to her seat across from me. "Do you think you could do all that again, with someone else just as nervous?"
Octavia let out a quick laugh as she walked away. "That was fun, I'll pick up the things okay?"
Datura shouted a yes at Octavia before turning back to me. "So, could you fix your clothes and communicate with somebody that's just as petrified as you?"
I could feel my erection die down as I realized what they did. "I- wow...that was.... You're smarter than dad gives you credit for." I fixed my pants and sat back in the couch. My heart was still fluttering but I felt somewhat more confident that I could replicate the process.
Datura nodded. "I've been around the block a few times, and it gets easier with practice. The key is communication, and keeping calm. Your body's going to do what it wants to do, you've just got to keep a level head and make sure you stay in control."
I swallowed hard and dug the bag of jerky out of the couch. "Thanks...and sorry but I kinda ate this."
Datura frowned hard as I held the bag in front of myself. "You do realize you're doing my chores while you're here, correct?"
I looked at the floor and let out a long groan. "Yeah, that's fair I guess." I went to throw the bag away as Octavia came through the door once more. She stopped me before I could reach the living room and swung her flank into me. "Condoms." she bobbed her head towards her saddlebag. "I made a few assumptions but they should still fit." I reached into her bags slowly. "Boo!" Octavia yelled as she bounced her flank, making me grab and fling the box of condoms across the room. "Oh dear." she started laughing as she turned around. "I didn't think you'd fall for that."
I held my chest as I leaned forward. "Auntie, why!?" I shouted as my heart tried to burst out of my chest.
Octavia stopped laughing and hooked her foreleg around my back. "You're okay, take it easy. I'm sorry."
I got upright again and returned the hug. "Just please don't do that again, at least not right now."
Octavia nuzzled my crown. "Of course, now just remember we're all celebrating new years together, so don't get lost."
I stood upright. "Alright auntie."
Datura walked into the entry. "Why does Octavia get to be an auntie but I don't?"
"Sorry I just never--"
"Oh don't start!" Datura tossed me the box with her tail. "Don't take the whole thing, take two in your wallet and wear a jacket, it's cold out." Datura punctuated her commands with a hug. "Sorry Vince couldn't be here, I'm sure he'd be very proud of you."
I pursed my lips and looked at the ceiling as I set my hand down on her neck. "Thanks Datura." Once I was free again I went back and sorted out my wallet and found a hoodie.
I wrapped my tail around my waist and tucked it under my hoodie before I left. Canterlot was decent to Satyrs, but something about being alone at night was kind of nerve-racking.
I hurried away from the musicians housing and towards Wight's address. She didn't live too far, and I managed to flag down a rickshaw as soon as I hit main street. I tipped the pony extra and stepped off right in front of Wight's house.
My stomach was in knots as I went up to her door and gave a few quick knocks. I heard a loud clatter before the door flung open. Wight's burgundy hair rather disheveled as she looked at me with a nervous twitch. "Thorn! Hey...how ya...how are you?"
I stuffed my hands in my pockets and tried to make eye contact, failing and looking at her arm in the doorway. "I'm alright...you said you wanted to hang out right?"
Wight started laughing as she ran her fingers through her hair, pulling it off her face and over her ear. "Yeah...yeah, right- come in!" she jumped back and held her arm out invitingly. "I know it's probably not what you're used to but...you know, it's what I got." she punctuated her plead with a laugh.
I felt my tension ease slightly as I walked inside the warm house and took my hoodie off. It felt great to let my tail go free and stretch out my legs. "So, hows the break been?" I asked, trying to break the horridly thick ice.
Wight just started laughing girlishly as she lead me into her living room. "You know, kinda boring. I'm the only thestral Satyr my age, so...yeah. Thanks for coming by the way!" she flapped her wings and stretched them out. "Sorry...I know they're creepy." she folded them away. "They just kinda get stiff since they don't like me flying around."
I took a seat on a couch and sank back into it. "It doesn't bother me. I grew up around bat ponies so I'm use to it. Just cause they don't have feathers doesn't mean they're any less amazing."
Wight froze in front of me. "I uh...really?" She gabbed her wing and played with the ridge. "That...thank you." she folded her wings back and sat next to me. "It's okay if I sit here?"
Swallowing my nervousness and growing a bit bold I put my arm around her head and leaned against her. "Only if I do this."
Wight let out a sputtery laugh as she adjusted herself under my arm. "Yeah...yeah, I mean...yeah, it's okay."
I could feel my heart beating wildly as Wight curled against me.

I ran through a mental task list to try and keep calm. It worked like a charm as Wight fidgeted in my grasps. "Thorn, can I tell you something?!" she yelped suddenly. "Please?"
I could feel my heart skip as my chant was broken. "Sure...what's up?"
Wight grabbed my right arm and held it to her chest. "Feel that!?" I could feel myself expand as the bottom of my palm was pressed against her chest. But what was more striking was her heart, it was beating like crazy and her chest was heaving as she tried to talk. "You did this to me!" Wight yelled as she grabbed my fingers. "You make me so nervous, I just...-do you like me!?" Wight blurted out as her breath grew louder.
Her face contorted in anxiety as I remained silent. My mind went completely blank as I tried to regain control. "Thorn?! Come on, answer me...please?" I tightened my left arm and forced our heads together. I could feel her heart rate slow as I laid my head atop hers. Her breath evened out as she played with my fingers. "Does this mean yes? Because I--"
I felt a surge of energy as I turned my head and planted a kiss into her crown. Her soft hair wonderful against my face as I held her. "Yes."
Wight went silent as she leaned against me. "Thanks...." we sat quietly as she played with my hand and I held her against me. "Do we have sex now?"
For the first time since I got here I felt myself remain calm. "I don't know. I really don't know."
Wight looked up at me, her bright brown eyes meeting my own. "Do you want to?"
"Do you?" I asked as I loosened my grip.
Wight held my hand as she stood up. She walked in front of me and straddled my hips. "Kinda. Can I borrow this again?" she played with my hand as she sat on my lap.
I nodded as I held her in left thigh in place, letting it sneak under her pants and caress her soft gray coat. Wight held onto my chest with one hand and guided my right to her stomach. She held it under her clothes before sliding herself further up my lap. "I don't...you.... You know what you're doing right? Cause this is my first time and I don't!"
I let my hands rub her body lazily as she laid her head across my shoulder. I leaned cheek to cheek with her as I caressed her skin and coat. "I have no idea. I've never done this either."
I felt her take a deep breath as she wrapped her arms around my head. "Thanks."
I stopped moving, letting my hands conform around her contours as she pulled her head back. "For what?" I asked as she looked me in the eyes.
She smiled, once again just enough to show her sharp teeth. "For this." she turned her head slightly and pressed her lips against my own. I moved my left hand from her thighs to her waist, right along where her coat met her skin. She wrapped her arms around me as she forced our lips together. No tongue, no rubbing, nothing, just a soft kiss that lasted for ages.
Eventually I got settled in and a little brave. I worked my hands upward, until finally my thumbs pressed against her bra. She let out a soft moan as I ran my thumbs over her breasts. She let off the kiss and laid her head across my shoulder as I ran my hands along the side of her ribs. "You can take it off if you want."
I felt myself heat up and start to grow as I reached around her back, following the straps around and finding the clasps.

Two tries later and I slid her bra out from under her shirt and let it fall into my lap. All the control and prep talk I had melted away as I watched the bra fly towards the floor. I pressed my head against Wight's and started sliding my hands from her stomach upwards. I stopped as I felt bare flesh where the bra had once been.
I was all but panting as Wight hung limply against me, letting me run the inside of my thumb over her amazingly soft breast. She let out a soft moan as I squeezed her. Not exactly a hand full but my half drunk mind was in bliss as I gently graced her nipple. "Thorn?"
"Yeah?"
"I like you...a lot."
"Yeah...." I mumbled hazily as I went back to my fondling. The soft warm feeling in my hands as I squeezed her was sending my brain into a tizzy. The shear fact that I couldn't see what I was doing made things all the more exciting. The feeling of her body laying across me, the smell of her fruit scented hair, the supple flesh in my hands, and the slightly pain as I grew confined in my pants was amazing, mixing together to create a slurry of emotions.
I stopped as I heard Wight gasp. "What, did I do something wrong?" I asked as I held in place.
I could feel wight laugh. "Uh....hi daddy."
I froze, head locked forward as I suddenly became very aware of the extra person in the room. "Really?" a slightly sandy voice came from behind me. "Thorn...."
"Mr. Wesk." I answered nervously.
I watched as Mr. Wesk walked into my vision. "So...second base?"
I looked away as he stared me down. "I don't know what that means sir."
He held Wight's bra in front of me. "Second base."
Once again I became aware that my hands were still holding Wight's chest. I stared Mr. Wesk in the eyes. "I guess so."
Mr. Wesk tossed the bra away. "I have two questions, two questions that could change the course of your life." he ducked down to meet me eye level. "Did you bring a condom?"
I nodded sheepishly.
Ben nodded too. "Okay, that's good. Now second question. How good are you at running?"
I locked up. "Sir?"
Ben shook his head. "That was a joke." he stood up and left my vision. "Now, get your hands off my daughter and split up. We're gonna have a talk."
I tore my hands out of Wight's shirt and held them upright. Wight slowly got off of me and went to the other side of the couch. Mr. Wesk guided Wight off while a fiery bat mare hoovered in front of me ."You...I know you...red head."
I sank back in my seat. "Uh...we both have red--"
"Shaddup!" Wight's mother yelled loudly. "You...you come in here, sticking your hand up her shirt and you think it's okay to just act like it never happened!?"
"No ma'am I do--"
"Eh! Quiet you." the large breasted bat mare flew back and landed in a chair. "Maybe you don't realize, or maybe you just don't care, but this is a living room, not a groping room."
"I understand that but--"
"No buts!" she flared her wings. "Now if you two were going to do something, why in the love of Luna would you do it out here!?"
I grew slightly confused. "I don--"
"Stop, interrupting! I mean what if we were gonna have guests over, we don't want this place smelling like a gym!"
"Alright, what the hell?!" I jumped upright. "Are you saying we should have just--"
"Kid, stop fucking interrupting me! Now if you two are gonna keep at this, I suggest you go to her room and do it, the living room is not the proper place for a groping or a make out session, got it!?"
I plopped back down in my seat. "Wait...so you're not mad?"
Wight's mom flew over to me. "Kid, I know your dad, and he seems like a good guy. I know your...uh...what is Datura to you- doesn't matter, I know her too. And do you know how many ponies are lining up to even be friends with Wight!?"
I swallowed hard. "Not a lot?"
"Two. You, and her brother. So maybe I'm not ecstatic with you trying to turn my little filly into a mare, but kid, we're friends." Wight's mom took my arm in her hooves. "Can I?"
I stared at her confused. "Can you wa--" she sunk her teeth into my arm. "Ow...."
"There, now we're friends. Now wait here." she trotted off, leaving me alone with a looming sense of being watched.
A sharp whistle later found a green bat pony glaring at me across the room. He didn't say anything, but the message was clear enough.
After a few minutes Wight walked back over to me. She took me by the hand and led me past her dad. "So he can stay right?"
Mr. Wesk let out a quick sigh. "Yes, nothing funny, but yeah he can stay."
Wight pulled me and her father into a tight hug. Once free she dragged me into a soft pink room and sat me on the bed. I could see the green pony staring at me through a crack in the door before Wight slammed it shut. "Don't mind him."
I looked around the surprisingly girly room. "Your brother?"
Wight laughed a few times. "Heh...yeah." I looked over to find her stripping down to her panties in front of me.
"Uh, Wight...I don't think--"
Wight ran over and pressed her finger against my lips. "Shh, it's not like that. Come on, stand up." she pulled me off the bed and started yanking at my shirt. "No pants either."
I nervously undid my pants as she pulled my shirt off. Once I was left in my boxers I folded my clothes and put them aside. "Alright...now what?"
Wight smiled as she hopped up, letting her wings flap once and send her into her bed. "Now, now the sun's coming up. And it's bed time." She snuggled in and held the covers for me.
I could feel my tail going crazy as I took in the scene in front of me. I slowly walked over, my hooves seeming extra loud as I did. But once I made it, crawling into bed next to her, she threw the covers around me and forced the window above her bed open. "Wight it's December!"
"I know!" she pouted as she huddled against my chest. "Just let me do this okay?" Wight drew my hand over her back and let it rest where her wings met her back. I enjoyed the soft texture as she pressed her body against my own. The cold on my crown quickly forced me to bury my face in her hair and curl up. "See...." she mumbled as she turned her head to meet my own. "Warm."
I curled my head towards my chest and settled in for the night. The warmth of her body and the blanket felt amazing as the cold lapped at my head. It slowly became one of the most comfortable nights of my life.
THORN
12/31/32
I woke up with a freezing sensation stuck to my crown. I tried to pull my arm up to wipe away the settled cold, finding myself unable to move.
I looked down at the soft spiky haired head curled against me and tried to find out where she was grabbing me. She was clutching my left arm against her chest as my left was thrown over her side.
I ran my fingers across her soft skin before bringing it out of the covers and rustling my hair. I tried to roll out of bed, only managing to sit upright on the bed. Wight was still latched onto my arm, and refusing to let me go.
I threw the covers off her, making her curl up even further as her naked body was exposed. She was beautiful, soft porcelain skin, perfect breasts, an amazingly cute face, and raven black hair so silky it put the finest cloth to shame. And above all else, she was mine.
I wiggled my arm free and replaced my arm with a pillow. She buried her face into it and curled back up. I tucked her back under the covers and got to my hooves. I grabbed my old outfit and got dressed once again. My outfit was a bit gritty, but aside from that, I realized just how cold the room was. My hair was on end even with my cloth covering.
My groggy mind recalled the window and quickly closed it. For all her virtues, whatever possessed Wight to open a window at six am in December, was a bit annoying.
Once the window was closed, my body quickly heated up and fought away the cold. I found myself a bit out of sorts as my more base requirements called. I felt a little guilty for leaving Wight alone in bed, but my body needed to be tended to.
I creeped out of the room, trying to keep my hooves from making too much noise as I moved. I managed to unlock the door and step outside without being to loud. Free of the prospect of waking her up I walked around the hall, checking the doors until I found the restroom. Once my creature comforts were taken care of I tried to sneak back into Wight's room.
"Thorn. How are you?" Mr. Wesk's voice rang out over my hooves tapping.
I stopped in the middle of the hall and turned around. I spotted Ben's pure white face staring down at me, his blackened eyes boring through my head. "Good."
Ben sipped from a large black cup. "Let's take a walk." he put his arm behind my back and started pushing me off towards another door. I went along with him as we walked down stairs. I spotted a clock and was amazed by the time. I had slept from five in the morning to two P.M. My brain had to take a few moments to realized it was still the same day as when I went to sleep.
My frazzled brain was snapped awake by the smell of coffee. "Here." Ben handed me a cup. "Too damn early without coffee."
I took a hearty drink and continued to follow Ben as he lead me through his home. "Your house is nice...."
Be peered back at me and shrugged. "Eh...I've been planing to move for a while. But it's close to my work so what am I gonna do?"
I nodded a few times. "I get that. It's like what my dad does."
Ben held a door open for me. "Day people like the sun right?"
"Uh...yes?" I said, trying to be convincing as I stepped out into the small back yard. "Kinda cold out here."
Ben walked out and plopped down in a lawn chair. "I can't feel it. I stopped feeling it when I changed." he rubbed his eyes as he leaned into the arm of the chair. "Thorn...did you two do anything last night?"
I turned around and played with the handle of my mug. "Not...really." I stared at the floor. "I mean...you saw what we did. Nothing else happened."
Ben let out a harsh sigh. "So you just slept together?" He took a deep breath. "She's like her mother. Really...." He rolled his wrist as he tried to think of the right phrase. "Touchy feely? Does that make sense?"
I nodded a few times and set my cup down on the back porch. "Huggy."
"Yeah, huggy." Ben sat upright. "But you two...I mean...like I said, I know your dad, and he's a good guy. You seem like a good kid, so I'm not worried. Just...if you two do, do something, be safe about it. You're what...fifteen?"
I stepped back onto the grass. "Almost eighteen...."
Ben wiped is face, "Sorry...it's kinda hard to tell." He nodded lazily. "Anyways it's good. She's about your age. A bit younger I think but- anyways, just be good to her. I'm not expecting you to marry her, or even stay with her, but be good to her while you are...that's all I'm asking, and I don't think it's too much to ask for."
My stomach sank as he spoke. His words felt heavy, each one landing like a lead weight. "I...yeah, no, I'd never hurt her!"
Ben let out a long breath. "You will, it won't be your fault, but you will. I'm sure you'll do your best, but that's all I'm asking."
I nodded uneasily. "Yeah...okay."
Ben and I stayed outside for a while, listening as the birds sang in his garden. "She's a biter."
I turned to Ben. "I'm sorry?"
Ben covered his mouth as he laughed, his sharp teeth visible through his fingers. "She's gonna bite you at some point. It feels like a pin prick, but it's just a nerve thing."
I rubbed my neck. "Like...like a vampire?"
Ben's smile faded. "Everyone says that. She'll probably bite your arm, if you let her she might bite your neck, but I taught her to never bite if they're not okay with it." Ben set his coffee down and interlaced his fingers. "She's a good girl Thorn. She'll make you happy, no matter what."
Ben stood up and spun me around by the shoulder. "But if you hurt her on purpose."- he tightened his grip on my shoulder. -"They'll never find your body." his stare grew bleak as his grip loosened, a haunting presence clinging to my skin as he pulled away. "Now go find her. Be there when she wakes up."
I swallowed hard, banishing my nervousness and walking back into their home. I was stopped half way inside by the green bat pony. "Hey...." he grumbled as his wing blocked the way. "Thorn...you know who I am?"
I took a deep breath and stood my ground. "Wayne right? A weird name for a--"
"Save it!" he snapped, flashing his teeth at me. "So you and my sister, you think you're just gonna tou--"
Ben walked back inside next to me. "Wayne...what are you doing?"
Wayne scrunched up his muzzle. "Dad...I'm trying to be intimidating!" he whined as Ben pushed past him.
Ben turned back to him. "Well you're not very good at it. And I already took care of it. Perks of being tall son, perks of being tall." Ben wandered off, fading into the darkness like some crazy vampire creature.
I patted Wayne's disappointing head as I walked past, prompting him to take a swipe at me with his hoof. I sucked in my gut and dodge. He just grumbled angrily as I hurried back towards Wight's pink room.
I hurried up and inside, locking the door behind me. I found a seat on the edge of her bed and watched her sleep. I ran my hand through her hair, letting it trail under the covers, along her side, and over the joining where her coat met her skin. I ran my hand across her pony leg. I stopped as I reached her hoof, letting my nails drag through her fetlocks and over the solid part of her hoof. I creeped my fingers inside the ring of her hoof and touched the soft insides, making Wight tremble slightly and kick her leg slightly.
"Thorn?" Wight's raspy voice groggily called out. "What are you doing?"
I froze as I carried her right hoof in my hands. "Uh...nothing."
