Chapter One

Twilight Sparkle woke up and got out of bed. She made it up, tucking the purple sheets neatly. She looked in the mirror and took off her nightie, put on her white underwear, and pulled on the white button top. She ajusted her grey skirt and pulled up her grey thigh length socks. She put on the sky blue, non sleeved jacket and grey tie, and fastened up her grey shoes. Twilight brushed her long dark blue hair, and straightened up the purple and pink streaks. She gave herself a confident smile, picked up her light purple messenger bag and walked out of her bedroom, locking the door as she knew her brother Spike would probably invade it whilst she was gone.

Twilight walked into the kitchen and made buttered toast, and sat down at the dining room table opposite Spike, next to her mum and diagonal from her dad.

"Are you excited, Twilight?" Asked her mum.

"I'm excited, but I'm nervous too..." Twilight mumbled.

Twilight's other brother, Shining Armour, came into the room.

"You'll be fine, Twilie." He smiled, and Twilight smiled too. "I have to go as well, Cadence is expecting me. So, I wish you good luck, and I got you a good luck gift too." Shining Armour placed a wrapped up gift on the table infront of Twilight and Twilight smiled and gave him a big hug.

"Thank you!" She squealed excitedly.

"Ugh, your such a girl, Shining Armour." Spike groaned.

"I'm only being nice. You should try it Spike, you might get a girlfriend that way." Shining Armour laughed. He left, and Twilight finished her toast.

"Ready to go?" Asked Twilight's mum.

"Yes..." Whispered Twilight.

"What's wrong, hunny?" Asked her mum.

"I feel a bit... queezy..." Twilight groaned.

"It's a bit of nerves." Her mum smiled. The family got ready to go, and Twilight grabbed her black suitcase. "Just imagine you're going on holiday!"

Twilight pulled the suitcase along the front yard's pathment, and got into the back of the car, next to Spike. Her dad drove, and Twilight's mum put in her CD. They sung along as if they really were going on holiday. They pulled up infront of the Canterlot train station, where Celestia, Twilight's teacher, met them.

"Are you ready to go Twilight?" Asked Celestia.

Twilight nodded and Celestia also gave her a good luck gift.

"I'll see you in a year or so then, Miss Twilight." She smiled, and left.

Twilight turned to her family.

"The train should be coming within 5 minutes." Her dad told her. Twilight nodded and turned to look at the train tracks. She was feeling more excited then nervous now, and couldn't wait to start school. New lessons, new tasks, more learning, more studying! She couldn't wait, and she squealed in excitement.

"I think it was mean of Shining A to just leave like that instead of seeing you off." Her mum said, shaking her head, when Shining Armour came running up to them with Cadence!

"Twilight! Shining Armour told me you were leaving! I wanted to say bye..." Cadence said with a shaky voice. Twilight gave her a hug, and the whole family joined in, apart from Spike, who stood and watched. He didn't like hugs.

The train came and the whole family smiled and said bye for the last time. Twilight picked up her suitcase and walked towards the train. Spike ran after her, his green hair flying back.

"I got you a gift too..." Spike told her, giving her a parcel. He looked in case anyone was watching, and pulled her in for a hug, planting a sneaky kiss on her cheek. "Bye... Twilie." He grinned and Twilight did too, and she got on the train. Her family waved to her, and she waved back out of the window. The train began to move, and Twilight sat and faced the other way. She would be on the train for at least 2 hours, so she packed some books.

She picked one up and began to read, but a girl bounced over to her, and she sat down next to her.

"I'm Pinkie Pie!" She grinned. "What's your name?"

"Twilight." Twilight replied with a mumble, and she shuffled away as far as she could.

Pinkie Pie hopped away, introducing herself to other people. Twilight swung her legs as she read, but minutes later she felt sick again, and she knew looking down wouldn't help. She turned to look out of the window. Her reflection looked back at her, and they had an equal amount of sadness flowing through them. How would she be happy without her family for a whole year?

She opened Shining Armour's gift. It was a charm bracelt, it had a book charm, and a charm to represent each member of the family. Then she opened Spike's gift. It had a note in it, and a photo frame of Twilight, Spike, Shining Armour, Cadence, Twilight's mum and Twilight's dad. It brought a tear to Twilight's eye, but she quickly wiped it away. She read the note, ignoring how sick she felt.

To Twilight,

Excuse the bad spellings if their is any and the grammar mistakes and the handriting, nerd is your stile. Anyway, i just want to say, you shud really try to make some mates at this new scool of yours... your such a lona.

From Spike.

"Lots of mistakes..." Twilight muttered.

She shook her head at the note. Spike knew she didn't have any friends, and he also knew that she didn't plan on making any either. She put the parcels in her suitcase, and looked out of the window again. They were passing a town, and they stopped at this station. Two girls got into the train, and sat opposite Twilight. They didn't try to socialise, to Twilight's delight.

The girl with dark pink hair in blue bobbled pigtails bounced over again.

"Hey! I'm Pinkie Pie! Oh my gosh! You have pink hair too!" She gasped, pointing to one of the girls. The other girl with light pink hair blushed, and hid behind her long hair. The other girl had rainbow hair, tied up with a blue bobbel into a pony tail. She took off her blue jacket and tie, and looked so scruffy. She didn't have a long sleeved top like the others, it was none sleeved.

"I love your hair too!" Pinkie Pie squeeled. "It's so cute!"

"Cute?" Gasped the rainbow girl. Pinkie Pie nodded.

"Oh... my..." Whispered the other pink haired girl.

"Cute?" Yelled the rainbow girl. Pinkie Pie didn't get scared, she just nodded. "I'm cool, not cute!"

"I like your hair, too." Pinkie pointed at Twilight. Twilight just muttered thanks, and turned to look out of the window again. She didn't want to socialise.

"So! I'm Pinkie Pie." Grinned Pinkie Pie.

"Rainbow Dash." Announced the rainbow girl. "And this is Fluttershy." She nodded to the light pink haired girl with the big blue eyes.

"You have blue eyes too!" Pinkie gasped. "We are sooooo alike!" Fluttershy just smiled.

"What's her name?" Asked Rainbow Dash, pointing to Twilight.

"She's Twilight." Pinkie Pie smiled.

"Twilight's a book..." Rainbow Dash said.

"Twilight Sparkle." Mumbled Twilight.

"Oooohh!" Laughed Rainbow Dash.

"What colour eyes do you have, Twilight Sparkle?" Asked Pinkie Pie.

"Purple." Twilight replied.

"My eyes are an awesome shade of pink." Rainbow Dash grinned.

Two other girls walked over, and Twilight moaned. One had a blonde pony tail with a red bobble and green eyes, and one had dark purple with light purple streaked hair and blue eyes. They all introduced themselves (Pinkie introduced Twilight and Rainbow Dash introduced Fluttershy, as she lived up to her name, and was, very shy). The blonde haired girl was called Applejack, and she had come with her little sister Applebloom, and had left her big brother, Big Mac, and her Granny, Granny Smith. The purple haired girl was called Rarity, and she had come with her little sister Sweetie Belle, and had left behind her parents. Rarity was very pretty.

Three girls hopped to the table, and Twilight sighed even more, still looking out of the window. One of the girls had light purple and pink hair, and green eyes, she was Sweetie Belle, Rarity's sister. One had red hair and orange eyes, Applebloom, Applejack's little sister. Another one had purple-pink hair and the same colour eyes, Scootaloo.

"This is my new friend, Applejack!" Applebloom grinned.

"She's my new friend too, Rarity!" Sweetie Belle smiled.

Scootaloo waved and introduced herself. The three girls ran into the other carrige, and Applejack and Rarity followed, not letting their sisters run freely, as they were trouble makers. Pinkie Pie went to the other carrige too, wanting to introduce herself to the other kids. Rainbow Dash tried to talk to Fluttershy, and Fluttershy whispered back.

"Honestly, Fluttershy! You're so quiet! You and Twilight Sparkle! I'm going to talk to the others." And with that, Rainbow Dash left, leaving Fluttershy and Twilight.

Fluttershy didn't seem to want to talk, so Twilight was happy. Twilight wondered what Starswirl Academy would be like. She was more nervous then ever.

"Have you ever been to the Academy before?" Twilight asked Fluttershy. Fluttershy shook her head and blushed bright red.

Time passed slowly, but soon enough, they arrived at the Trotport Train Station. Everyone flooded out of the train, and headed towards the school. Twilight followed the crowd, and stared at the huge school. It looked like it had 3 floors, and 5 extra buildings around.

"I'll show you around!" Smiled Pinkie Pie. Fluttershy and Twilight nodded, and so did Rainbow Dash, as she'd never been here either. Pinkie Pie showed them around for most of the day, and Twilight loved the library. It was bigger then any other library she'd ever seen. Rainbow Dash loved the gym, as it had all sorts of nets and machines, and Fluttershy just liked the relax room, where you could just sit down and relax.

Then, everyone had to go outside to hear what dorms they'd be in. Coincedently, Twilight, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity were all in the same dorm. They walked into their room, Room 13, and chose their beds. They were bunk beds, and the sheets were all the same, plaid red and blue and matching pillows. The curtians were the same too, and the carpet was white, and the walls a pale blue. The room was in an 'L' shape and a small square bathroom was attached. One bunk bed was opposite the other, and the other was opposite the bathroom door.

Rainbow Dash dibbed on the top bunk, and Fluttershy had the bed under her. They had the bed opposite the bathroom door. On the other bunk bed, Applejack had top and Pinkie had bottom, and Twilight had bottom on the other bunk bed, leaving Rarity on the top bunk. They unpacked, as there were 2 chests, with 3 drawers each.

Twilight placed the picture of her family on the chest, and sighed, wiping a tear from her eye again.

"It's okay, Twilight. I miss my family too." Fluttershy smiled. Twilight nodded and the girls went seperate ways to class. They only had one class, seeing as it was their first day, and Twilight had science, her favourite.

When they met up in their dorm again, Twilight got into her PJs and climbed into bed right away, even though it was 7.

"You must be crazy tired, Twilight." Laughed Rainbow Dash. Twilight didn't reply, she just concentrated on sleeping. Rainbow Dash just shrugged, got into joggers and hoodie, and went to the gym, Rarity read a book on Fashion, Fluttershy read a book on animals, Applejack went to see her little sister, and Pinkie Pie stayed in the room and listened to her MP3. Twilight missed her family so much, and science hadn't been as interesting as she hoped. But she fell asleep, and dreamt happily.

Chapter Two

There was a loud scream and Twilight sat up as fast as a bullet, her heart pounding. It was a good thing someone screamed and woke her up, because she dreamt that her family were set on fire whilst she was gone. Twilight looked around to see who was screaming. She looked over to the bed opposite her, Applejack and Pinkie Pie were awake too, looking sleepy. She looked over to the other bed, to see Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy looking annoyed and very tired. So she got out of bed and looked up at Rarity, who was looking scared and as white as a ghost.

"Gee Rarity! You look like a ghost! Whooooooo!" Pinkie Pie laughed.

"Are ya alright, Rarity? Did ya have a bad dream or something?" Asked Applejack.

"N - No!" Rarity gulped "A g-ghost!"

"Ghost?" Fluttershy gasped, hiding under her sheets.

"Y- Yes!" Rarity stuttered.

"A ghost, huh? Rarity, you're imagining things, for Celestia's sake! You woke me up because of a ghost?" Rainbow Dash grunted, rolling over and settling down to sleep.

"Are you sure?" Twilight asked.

"Yes! I went to get a glass of water because I was having a nightmare, and I came out of the bathroom and he was there! All white and glowy like!" Rarity panted, still shaking.

"He?" Asked Twilight.

"Yes! Then he dissapered! I swear!" Rarity nodded.

"Right. Well get some sleep now. I'm ah mighty tired, and we have classes tomorrow." Applejack yawned.

"Y- yes..." Muttered Rarity, and the girls all settled to sleep again.

*****

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Yelled Rarity, even louder then before. All the girls shot up, and some other people came into the room.

"What is it?" Asked a girl with spikey blue hair, dark blue and light blue streaks, and she had red eyes.

"It's him! It's the GHOST!" Screamed Rarity.

"Eekkk!" Squealed Fluttershy.

"A ghost?" Laughed the blue haired girl.

"I swear! He looked at me and said 'Nobody will go to you. I trust you.' and I screamed and he left!" Rairty gasped, breathing heavily.

"Eek! A ghost!" Teased the blue haired girl.

"Vinyl! Pack it in." Tutted a girl with black hair, or dark grey, it was hard to tell in the dark.

"Sorry, Tavi..." Whispered Vinyl.

"Now, I want to know, are you seeing things, Rarity?" Asked 'Tavi'.

"I'm not seeing things, Octavia!" Rarity grunted.

"Go away! Go to bed!" Yelled Rainbow Dash.

"It's like a slumber party!" Cheered Pinkie Pie.

"I'm sleepy..." Twilight mumbled, putting the pillow on her head. Why did Rarity have to be so dramatic?

"Me too. Can you all go, please?" Yawned Applejack.

"Muffin?" Asked a bonde haired girl with two golden eyes, one of which was lazy.

"Derpy, go back to bed." Vinyl sighed, and Tavi took her hand and went back to their room.

"Go away! All of you!" Yelled Rainbow Dash.

"You're totally seeing things. Maybe you're going looney like Lyra here!" Laughed Vinyl, pointing to a mint and white haired girl with golden eyes,

"Just because she believes in Unicorns doesn't mean she's looney, just imagintive." Tutted a green eyed girl with curly blue and pink hair.

"Whatever." Vinyl muttered, rolling her eyes.

Rainbow Dash jumped out of bed, making Fluttershy squeal, and pushed everyone out of the room.

"GET OUT!" She demanded, and slammed the door in everyone's face.

"Okay, okay, sheez..." Someone muttered, and they heard footsteps.

Rainbow Dash was going to go up the ladders of the bunk bed, but first she comforted Fluttershy.

"There's no ghost, Fluttershy. It's just Rarity being stupid." Rainbow Dash sighed irritibly, and looked at Rarity, infact, no, she glared at her.

"I swear I saw it!" Rairty shouted.

"Stop shouting! You're scaring her even more!" Rainbow Dash yelled back.

"Both of you stop it!" Screamed Applejack.

"But I saw it!" Rarity yelled.

"Stop shouting!" Pinkie Pie demanded.

"Make me!" Rarity shouted.

Twilight rolled over and put the pillow over her head. It muffled out some of the noise bt she could still hear everyone yelling. She squeezed her eyes together to stop tears rolling down her cheeks. She missed her family horribly and everyone yelling didn't make her feel any better.

"I'll make ya shut up in a minute!" Applejack yelled, raising a fist, and Rarity came down the ladders and stood close to Applejack.

"Bring it." She whispered.

"SSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPP!" Yelled Fluttershy, and everyone turned to look at her, except Twilight.

It was silent, but Applejack could hear something.

"Twilight?" She asked. Twilight was sobbing softly, she couldn't help it.

"Are you okay?" Asked Rarity softly, sitting on Twilight's bed.

"We scared her." Whipsered Fluttershy.

"Not more drama." Groaned Rainbow Dash, and she got back into bed.

"I'm fine." Whispered Twilight, and Rarity pulled her in for a hug.

"No more fighting." Rarity promised.

"Phew..." Whispered Fluttershy.

"Hey... Where's Pinkie Pie?" Asked Applejack.

"Oh, I'm in here." Pinkie laughed, popping her head out of the bathroom.

"The whole time?" Asked Applejack.

"Yes." Nodded Pinkie. "I don't like fights. But I did get my onsie's feet wet." Pinkie was wearing a pig onsie with a hood with little ears on.

"Now can we go to sleep?" Asked Rainbow Dash, and all of the girls nodded, and climbed into bed.

*****

The girls woke up as Principal came and woke them.

"Come on girls! First day of school!" She smiled, and the girls groaned and yawned.

"Come on girls!" Cheered Pinkie, and she went for a shower.

All the girls took their turn in the bathroom, taking showers and getting dressed, and the breakfast man, Mr Cake, came into their room with a table with wheels and a selection of breakfasts.

"Phew-ee! I'm starving!" Applejack grinned, looking at the selection of foods.

She took two slices of apple pie, Pinkie Pie took cornflakes and sprinkled lots of sugar on top, she would of kept sprinkling if Mr Cake hadn't stopped her. Rainbow Dash took a bacon butty, which Fluttershy didn't like because she was a vegitarian, and she took a cheese toastie. Twilight took a ham sandwhich and Rarity said she didn't want anything.

"You have to eat, Rarity..." Applejack sighed, shaking her head.

"How do you think I keep my figure? No breakfast, no snacks, no lunch, only tea." Rarity told Applejack.

"Woah...." All the girls whispered.

"No snacks? What!!!! I couldn't live without my cake!" Pinkie Pie gasped.

"That's why I'm popular, and you, are not." Rarity nodded, and left the room.

"She's popular here?" Asked Twilight.

"Yes." Pinkie Pie nodded.

"You didn't know?" Asked Applejack, and then she shook her head. "I forgot, you're new here! You, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash!"

"Rarity can be fun, but she's awful mean to us sometimes." Pinkie Pie sighed.

The girls tucked into their breakfasts and went their seperate ways to class.

*****

Twilight walked into her English classroom, and took a seat next to the blue haired girl, Vinyl, of which she saw yesterday.

"Hey, you're in Rarity's room, ain't ya?" Asked Vinyl.

Twilight nodded.

"Get rid of the ghost?" Laughed Vinyl.

"I don't know..." Twilight muttered, and she opened up her book.

"What ghost?" Asked a girl opposite of Twilight. There were 4 girls per table.

"Rarity apparently saw a ghost!" Laughed Vinyl.

"You two are clearly new here..." The other girl sighed. She had lovely dark pink hair, and big green eyes. "I'm Roseluck. You can call me Rose."

"And I'm Cloudkicker." Said the girl next to Rose, with dark blonde hair and purple eyes.

"I'm Vinyl!" Exclaimed Vinyl.

"What's your name?" Asked Roseluck, pointing to Twilight.

"Twilight Sparkle." Muttered Twilight.

"Are you shy?" Asked Cloudkicker.

"No, I just don't like people." Twilight muttered under her breath.

"I heard that!" Laughed Vinyl.

"I did too." Cloudkicker and Rose said in sync.

Twilight just rolled her eyes. She was going to meet a lot of people, and she would just have to get used to it.

*****

Pinkie Pie had cooking class first, this was always her favourite lesson.

She entered with a bounce and a smile. "Guess who's back? It's your old pal Pinkie Pie!" She laughed. Other students laughed and waved, and the new ones just giggled.

"Welcome back, Pinkie Pie." Smiled the teacher.

"Thank you, Mrs Cake! I shall share a kitchen wiittthhh........." She looked around, she saw her old friends Flitter and Cloudchaser. They both had teal hair and purple eyes. Flitter had a pink bow and Cloudchaser had long and spikey hair. Then Pinkie looked at a new girl. She had pink and green hair, freckles and pink eyes.

"Hello! I'm Pinkie Pie!" Smiled Pinkie.

"Blossom Forth." Said the new girl.

"Nice to meet you, Blossom Forth! I'm Pinkie Pie! Oops! I already said that... tee hee hee!" Giggled Pinkie Pie.

"Calm down class, today we'll make cupcakes." Announced the teacher.

"Yay!" Cheered Pinkie.

"They should make at least 8 cupcakes." The teacher nodded.

"I'm going to make one each for my room mates, one for me too... that's 6! One for you and.... One for Miss." Pinkie nodded, and begun to mix to the teacher's instructions.

*****

Rainbow Dash ran against other girls. She was in the lead, far ahead from others, except Applejack. They were neck in neck. Rainbow Dash crossed the finish line before Applejack, and Applejack finished not even a second after.

"Beat me by a hair...." Applejack sighed. "You're pretty good."

"Oh... Really?" Rainbow Dash asked, then she shook her head. "Of course I'm pretty good! I'm Rainbow Dash, duhhhh!"

Applejack laughed. "Cocky much?"

"I guess, but I'm only being truthful. Honest, ya know?" Rainbow Dash grinned.

"If you say so." Applejack rolled her eyes. They waited for the others to come back, and then they had to do another run round the track. "Race ya?"

"You're on!" Rainbow Dash smiled.

*****

Fluttershy sat down in the library. It was literacy and they had to read a book on Henry VIII.

She was sat next to Derpy, the one with the lazy eye. She didn't say anything, but Derpy spoke an awful lot, and half of it Fluttershy didn't understand.

*****

Rarity sat down in her Art class. She was sat down next to a strange looking girl with bright green eyes and bright green hair. She had a pony tail with a black bobble, and a black pearl bracelet.

"What's your name? Haven't seen you before and I've been schooling here since I was 4." Rarity asked.

"Chrysalis." Replied the girl.

"You new?" Asked Rarity.

"As a matter of fact I am." Replied Chrysalis.

Two girls walked past Rarity. One had dark purple hair and purple eyes, and another had light purple hair and purple eyes.

"Eekk! Ghost!" Squealed the light purple haired one, and they both laughed.

"Good one, Berry Punch!" Laughed the dark purple haired one.

"Thanks, Amethyst Star!" Laughed the light purple haired one, Berry Punch.

"Ghost?" Asked Chrysalis.

"She sees ghosts." Laughed a girl from the opposite seat of Chrysalis. She had dark blue and white hair, and light blue eyes.

"Was it Star Swirl?" Mocked Berry Punch, and the two purple haired girls walked away laughing.

Chapter Three

"That's it! I'm a laughing stock!" Whined Rarity, walking back and forth in their room that evening.

"Come on, Rarity. Get ready for tea." Applejack told her.

"I can not go anywhere in public!" Rarity gasped.

"Why not?" Asked Rainbow Dash, getting on her denim shorts and red hoodie.

"Because everyone thinks I'm seeing things! One stupid girl suggested it be Starswirl! What an idiot!" Rarity sighed, rolling her eyes.

"Could be actually." Grinned Pinkie Pie, pulling a pink and white striped dress on, it had thin straps and went down to her knees.

"No!" Rarity snapped.

"Starswirl?" Asked Twilight, coming into the room.

"Hello, Twilight." Greeted Fluttershy.

"Hello. Now, what's this about Starswirl?" Asked Twilight.

"People say his ghost haunts the school!" Pinkie Pie gasped and then she giggled.

"But he only stays under the school." Applejack told her.

"No he doesn't." Said Rarity.

"He does..." Applejack replied.

"No he doesn't." Pinkie Pie sighed.

"They say he died in a fire." Rarity nodded.

"Under the school, in the basement. That's why the wallpaper is peeled and smells funny." Applejack explained.

"Everyone has a different story." Pinkie Pie told the new commers.

"Well ghosts are stupid. Everyone knows ghosts aren't real." Rainbow Dash sighed.

"But Starswirl was so clever. He maybe made a potion or something to stop himself really going forever." Applejack replied.

"Whatever!" Rarity shouted. "It's a ghost, and it IS real."

Twilight thought about it, and got changed into a purple dress with white polka dots. She slipped on her purple sandals, as it was hot, and walked out to dinner, the other 5 following. Well, other 4, Applejack was dragging Rarity down the halls.

"Ah, come on sugarcube. How bad can it be?" Asked Applejack sweetly, trying not to lose her patience.

"Woah..." Rainbow Dash gasped as she saw the Food Court. Not only was it huge, but it was full of people. Laughing, pointing people. Rarity's eyes watered at the sight of those laughing at her, and ran out of the Court.

"Rarity! Wait!" Applejack yelled running after her.

"Oh my..." Fluttershy whispered, her and Rainbow Dash running too.

Twilight sighed and Pinkie Pie looked at her.

"No tea tonight then." Pinkie giggled, then sighed, running after her friends.

Twilight looked at them run, and she then looked around the Food Court.

It was huge, with what seemed over 1,000 seats, and the food line was really long. The walls were white and had school photos onn them, and Twilight saw one of Starswirl.

He had grey hair, a long beard and wore dark blue. Twilight got the shivers.

"Are you alright there? I saw your friends run away." Asked a voice. Twilight turned round to see a boy about her age standing behind her.

"I thought this was an all girls school..." Twilight muttered.

"For a day it is, then the boys arrive." Chuckled the male. He had grey hair too, lighter though, and his eyes were yellow with red pupils and irises. Twilight was a bit creeped out. "Now... what happened?"

"Rarity is humilliated." Twilight replied simply.

"Oh, is she the one that saw a ghost?" Asked Discord, and Twilight nodded whilst he laughed.

"Discord!" Yelled Mrs Cake. "Come back and clean up this mess!"

"Gotta run!" Laughed the boy, and he ran out of the room.

"Where did he go?" Asked Mrs Cake, running upto Twilight.

"That way." Twilight pointed to the door and Mrs Cake sighed, then looked at Twilight. "Have you not had tea yet?"

"No, neither have my friends. One of them ran and the rest tried to comfort her." Twilight explained, and her stomach growled, practicing how to speak lion.

"Oh my. Well, here." Mrs Cake gave Twilight 6 boxes of chicken and chips with cartons of apple juice. "Is that enough? Too much?"

"It's perfect." Twilight replied, with a little smile. "Thank you."

"You're very welcome dear... and if you see Discord again, send him over to me!" Mrs Cake sighed with fustration, and Twilight saw the mess Discord had made. Ice cream was on the floor, noodles on the walls, chips scattered on several tables... it was horrible and gross.

"Alright then..." Twilight replied, blinking at the mess, then turning and going back to her dorm.

As she walked down the path to the dorm rooms, a three boys ran past her, almost knocking the food out of her hands.

"Hey!" Twilight yelled. "Watch it!"

"Sorry!" One of the boys shouted back, and another one laughed.

"Immature freaks." Mumbled Twilight.

"Hey! I heard that!" One of the boys shouted at Twilight.

"Yeah well it's true!" Twilight yelled.

One of the boys had dark blue eyes and hair, actually, his hair seemed black. Another one had green eyes and blonde hair, and the other had blue eyes and brown hair.

"I really am sorry." The blonde one apologised.

"Me too." Sighed the brown haired one.

"Me three..." The blue one sighed.

"Good." Twilight replied, and turned around to walk to her dorm.

"I'm Sorain!" The blue one yelled after her.

"And I'm Caramel!" The brown haired one also yelled his name.

"I'm Braeburn!" The blonde one yelled.

Twilight just nodded and continued to walk, and Sorain ran up to her.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Twilight Sparkle." Groaned Twilight. "Can I go to my dorm now?"

"But we've only just met! We must introduce properly!" Sorain grinned.

"Don't you have someplace to be?" Asked Twilight.

"No." Replied Caramel, he and Braeburn walking up to her.

"Then why were you running?" Asked Twilight.

"Dunno." Caramel smiled. "Now let's introduce ourselves properly."

"No." Twilight replied with an irritated sigh, walking to her dorm. The boys just let her go, and with a laugh, continued running to wherever they were going.

Twilight shook her head and entered the dorm. Rainbow Dash was yelling, Rarity and Fluttershy were crying, Applejack was looking annoyed, Pinkie Pie was ignoring everyone and was listening to her MP3. Twilight put the boxes of food and drink in the middle of the room, and the 5 girls smiled and thanked her.

"Thank god! I thought I was gonna starve." Rainbow Dash groaned, eating a piece of chicken.

"Is that why you were shouting?" Asked Fluttershy.

"Well yeah! I need to eat." Rainbow Dash shook her head, digging in to another peice and taking a sip from her carton.

"Could you get me my lunch and bring it here everyday please, Twilight? I am not going out in public ever again!" Rarity asked with a girly moan.

"But you'll have to have boxed foods and that is just going to be chips with some kind of meat." Twilight replied.

"You could always ask Mrs Cake to pack something into a box for me. She does it for people on the go." Rarity smiled, thinking she was helping herself out.

"Rarity, you need to get your own food. Twilight has things to do other then being your slave." Applejack told her. Rarity just groaned.

"I love this chicken!" Pinkie Pie smiled, licking grease from her lips, and the girls laughed.

For the rest of the night they were joking and messing around, and for once, Twilight felt comfortable socializing, and she felt one of the group.

That night, the girls slept like babies. Rainbow Dash was snoring loudly, Fluttershy was whimpering in her sleep like a puppy, Pinkie Pie was giggling everytime she breathed out, which was impossible to do, but she did it, Rarity was softly snoring and Applejack was snoring louder then Rainbow Dash. Twilight slept quite peacefully, not having a single dream at all, and she was at rest. Then...

"Ahhh!" Screamed Fluttershy, and she was crying.

Rainbow Dash yawned, groaned and leant over her bunk bed side to see the issue. Rairty, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Twilight all got out of bed and sat at Fluttershy's side.

"Rarity! I believe you! I believe you!" Cried Fluttershy, wiping her tears with the cuff of her nightie sleeve.

"What do you mean?" Asked Rarity.

"It was the ghost! It was the ghost!" Fluttershy sobbed, taking deep breaths.

"I told you I didn't make it up!" Rarity did I triumphant 'Yes!' and took a concerned look at Fluttershy, who was tearstained and shaking.

"This makes no sence." Sighed Twilight.

"There is no such thing as ghosts!" Rainbow yelled, turning over in her bed and yanking the pillow over her head.

"He was staring at me!" Fluttershy wailed.

"Okay, okay." Applejack yawned, patting Fluttershy's back. "It's okay."

"He had a beard." Fluttershy told the girls, and she looked at Rarity.

"And a hat?" Asked Rarity.

"Yes, with bells on it." Fluttershy nodded.

"Yes! That's the ghost!" Rarity smiled.

"Why are you smiling?" Asked Twilight.

"Why not?" Asked Pinkie Pie.

"Because Fluttershy is scared stiff!" Twilight exclaimed.

"Because I'm proved not crazy!" Grinned Rarity, and Twilight sighed.

Vinyl and Lyra burst into the dorm.

"We heard a scream. What's going on?" Asked Vinyl.

"They won't let me sleep!" Groaned Rainbow Dash.

"Get out!" Yelled Applejack, and the girls didn't need to be told twice, they ran out of the room, slamming the door behind them.

"Did you say a beard, and a hat with bells on it?" Asked Twilight, and Fluttershy nodded. "Was it a wizards hat?" She nodded again. Twilight's eyes widened, and she remembered the picture in the Food Court.

"Your eyes have gone super duper big!" Pinkie Pie gasped.

"What is it Twilight?" Asked Applejack.

"Girls... that ghost..." Twilight whispered.

"What about it?" Asked Rarity.

"That's Starswirl." Twilight told them.

"What!?" Exclaimed Pinkie Pie.

"Really Twiligh'?" Asked Applejack.

"Think about it. Have you seen the picture of Starswirl?" Asked Twilight.

"Yes... the one with the wizard hat...! What the hay!?" Applejack gasped.

"Woah..." Pinkie whispered.

"Yes... it's Starswirl alright." Rarity nodded, and Fluttershy whimpered.

"That's so... cool!" Rainbow Dash muttered from under her pillow.

"Can I go to sleep now?" Rainbow Dash added after a moments silence.

Applejack shook her head and quit staring at the wall, and nodded. "That's a good idea."

"Goodnight girls!" Pinkie smiled, climbing into bed.

All the girls returned to their beds, and Twilight sat up, thinking whilst the rest slept. She couldn't get to sleep. She wanted to, but she couldn't. She wanted something to do. Anything to do... but what?

Then she remembered. She had a gift from the Princess to open. She got out of bed, fumbled through her drawer, and found the gift and a torch.

She got back into bed, and carefully opened up her gift. There was a picture frame inside, with a picture of younger Twilight and the Princess in it. Twilight smiled and looked at the other gift. It was strange looking, and Twilight went "eh?"

It was a small grey box with a green screen on it. There was a note.

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

Youu may or may not know of the rumors going round the Academy. Apparently Starswirl has been seen here and there, and appering in rooms at night. I know you're much more of a book person... but maybe you could have an adventre of your own and write to me what you learnt from it. I would be most interested to hear it.

So here is the latest Canterlot invention. It tracks ghosts. You don't have to, but I would be most happy if you would take some time to settle the rumors once and for all.

Your teacher,

Princess Celestia.

Twilight smiled. A great smile it was, big and broad.

"You're going down, Starswirl." She grinned.

Chapter Four

"Wait... what?!" Applejack gasped.

"We find Starswirl. We just track him with this device." Twilight nodded.

"I don't want to!" Fluttershy squealed.

"I do!" Pinkie giggled.

"What do we do when we find him?" Asked Applejack.

Twilight stopped for a minute and thought about it. What would she do?

"We ask him to leave us alone." Twilight smiled.

"Is that it?" Asked Rarity, pulling a purple jumper over her head.

"Well... what else?" Asked Twilight.

"Ghosts. Don't. Exist!" Rainbow sighed with irritation.

"Two of your room mates saw the same ghost, and you still don't believe?" Applejack asked, and Rainbow nodded.

Rarity looked at herself in the mirror, smoothed the creases in her white jeans, put on her purple converse and looked at herself, smiling. Oh, you're so beautiful Rarity. She told herself. Fluttershy put on a yellow T-shirt with three pink butterflies on the front, and pulled on her light pink jeans and yellow converse. Rainbow Dash threw on her blue hoodie and comfy demin jeans and blue trainers, not caring how she looked. Pinkie put on her dark pink hoodie and light blue skirt with yellow leggings and she put on pink uggs. Applejack pulled on her tartan top with a white top under it, and put on her jeans and cowgirl boots. Twilight put on a dark blue hoodie and purple jeans and dark blue uggs.

Even though it was Wednesday, there were no classes due to a leak on the top floor, that had dripped down to the bottom floor. It was pretty bad, and needed to be cleaned before the wood rotted. Mr Cake came into the room after knocking, and gave the girls their breakfast.

"No. I don't." Rainbow Dash shook her head.

"You should." Applejack shook her head but the conversation ended.

"I'd rather do it on my own anyway." Twilight mumbled to herself, and nobody heard her.

After she'd eaten, Twilight got up and left the room.

"Hold up, Twi. Where ya goin'?" Asked Applejack.

"To get Starswirl." Twilight replied in a tone that said 'Isn't it obvious?'

"Not without us." Pinkie Pie smiled, coming into the dorm hallway too.

"What are you doing?" Asked Vinyl, her and Octavia were trying to get past them to the door.

"Twilight's finding the ghost!" Pinkie exclaimed.

"Really? Wow, good luck with that." Laughed Vinyl, and she rolled her eyes, pushing past Twilight, Applejack and Pinkie Pie, and she left the dorm hall.

"Sorry." Mumbled Octavia, following her friend.

Rarity and Fluttershy came out of the room too.

"I'll come." Rarity smiled, and Fluttershy nodded.

"If it gets too scary, I'm not coming." Fluttershy told them.

"Alright!" Pinkie jumped in the air.

Twilight sighed and rolled her eyes. "I'll do it on my own." She told them.

"Nope. No way Twilight. Anyway, you're new, and one of us at least needs to show you the way, eh?" Applejack smiled.

Rainbow Dash was leaning against the door panel, and looked at the stub of what was a nail. "I'll come. It's something to do, right?"

"Yee haw! Let's go!" Applejack grinned and lead the way.

The six girls ran on the field, and up to the school. They ran down the hallways, and then looked at the janitors ward. Rainbow Dash tried to open the door, but it had been locked.

"Janitors out fixing the leak." Fluttershy told the girls.

"Oh yeah..." Applejack sighed.

"Whatever. I'm going." Rainbow Dash turned round, but Twilight used her spare hairpin (She kept it in her pocket for emergencies) and picked at the lock. Sure enough, it opened, and she walked into the square room. There were three doors, one was the janitors room, one was the supply room, and the other was leading to the basement.

The other girls squashed into the sqaure room too.

"It's pitch black!" Rainbow Dash complained.

"No. Really?" Twilight sighed.

"Come on girls, come out a minute and make some room." Applejack smiled, and as if on cue, the janitors ward door slammed shut.

"Fantastic!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

"Stop yelling!" Fluttershy squealed, and Rainbow Dash sighed.

"Yes! Stop it!" Twilight demanded, and she concentrated on the door, and she managed to open it. The stairs were steep and narrow. "Watch your step."

In single file, the girls walked down the stairs. They seemed to go on for a while.

"This is boring!" Groaned Rainbow Dash.

Rarity walked into a cobweb and screamed, making Fluttershy scream in panic too.

"I think there's a spider in my hair! It's ruined now! Runied!" Rarity squealed.

"Nobody cares." Appleack told her.

"Let's sing a song and pass the time!" Pinkie suggested. Twilight sighed, and Applejack, being behind her, heard.

"It's a good suggestion Pinkie, but not now." Applejack told her, and Pinkie seemed fine with this.

Finally, they reached the bottom of the stairs. It was terribly dark, and you could only just see your hand in front of your face.

"I'll find a lightswitch." Applejack offered, and she felt around the walls whilst the others shivered. Not only was it dark - it was freezing too!

"Hang on, it might be up the stairs." Applejack sighed.

"Let me past. I'll do it." Rarity shoved past Applejack and stormed up the stairs. The sooner she got rid of Starswirl, the sooner her name could be cleared. She could see it, she was popular once more, and to talk to Rarity was like... I don't know, Freddie Mercury's ghost giving you an autograph or something.

Downstairs, the 5 girls were shivering and couldn't see very well.

"We all here?" Asked Twilight.

"Yep!" Pinkie giggled, giving a bounce, and the noise of her landing echoed throughout the basement, shaking them a bit.

"What was that?" Asked Rarity, talking to herself. She turned round carefully, making sure not to fall, then shrugged it off and continued to go up the stairs.

She found the light back where everyone had started, and she was about to click it when she suddenly became frozen and she was unable to move. She panicked and then she saw a familiar face. That white face. The ghost. Starswirl.

"What's taking Rarity so long?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"I'm not sure if I should check or not." Applejack replied.

Twilight sighed. She would of gone on if she could see. She turned on the Ghost Tracker, and looked at the little red dot. He was close! Very close... Twilight looked at it and froze.

"What up Twilight?" Asked Applejack, feeling her sudden lack of movement.

"Starswirl is nearby! Actually, he's upstairs!" Twilight told the girls.

"Starswirl is after Rarity!" Pinkie yelped, and she ran upstairs, as did the others.

They got up the stairs faster then they managed to get down them, but when they arrived, Rarity was gone.

"Rarity?" Called Pinkie Pie.

"Rarity! This isn't funny! Come out!" Twilight shouted.

"Are you okay Rarity? Don't be scared, it's just us..." Fluttershy called out, which to be fair, wasn't that loud.

"Where is the ghost now Twilight?" Asked Applejack.

"He's not on the sensor." Twilight replied.

Then the red dot showed up and Twilight showed the girls the sensor. He was right next to them. Twilight turned slowly, and she saw his face. The long beard, bushy eyebrows and all.

" 'Ello, Twilight." He grinned.

Twilight screamed, and the others did too, and they shot out of the room into the square. The janitors ward door was still shut, and it was locked too, and Rainbow Dash tried to pull it open in panic.

"Hurry up!" Yelled Applejack, and Rainbow continued to bang on the door. It finally opened, and the girls fell out of the ward, and slammed it shut. The girls sat up, breathing heavily.

"Phew... we made it..." Applejack panted.

"But Rarity didn't!" Fluttershy squealed.

"I'm sure she's fine." Rainbow Dash reassured Fluttershy, knowing she'd lose it and scream loudly if she didn't.

"What do you think happened to Rarity?" Asked Pinkie Pie. The girls looked at Twilight, and she replied with the honest answer.

"I don't know." Twilight sighed.

"It's your fault. Coming here and bringing us with you." Rainbow Dash frowned upon Twilight, and turned to leave.

"I did want to go on my own." Twilight replied.

Rainbow Dash stopped and thought about it. She was right.

"It's nobody's fault, Rainbow." Applejack told her.

"I'm going anyway." Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes and walked away. "I'm going to running club."

Fluttershy followed Dashie, wanting to watch her run. She was a brilliant runner, and it was fun to see her race against the others, who thought they were so fast and good. Rainbow Dash proved them wrong.

"But you two - we have to find Rarity!" Pinkie Pie shouted down the corridor.

"Whatever, she'll show up later." Rainbow Dash shouted back, and with that, Flutter and Rainbow were gone.

Twilight sighed and stood up, making sure the janitors door was locked, so nobody knew that they had been in there. There were no cameras in the janitors ward, or the basement, so nobody could see if they'd been in there or not. Cameras would of helped, because then Twilight could of seen where Rarity had gone.

"Where should we look?" Asked Pinkie Pie. Her hair looked less bouncy, still bouncy, but more... flat.

"What's up with your hair?" Asked Twilight.

"What do you mean?" Asked Pinkie, with a look of confusion.

"It's less... poofy." Twilight replied, looking at the piles of pink that lay upon her head.

"It happens when she gets worried or really upset, Twilight." Applejack told her.

"Oh." Was Twilight's only response.

"So, back to Rarity." Pinkie reminded.

"I'm not sure where to look." Twilight sighed, thinking about where she could of gone.

"Dashie is probably right. She'll probably show up later." Applejack smiled and turned to walk to the library. Twilight followed her too, and Pinkie went to the gym, on a Wednesday they usually held a street dance class. It was early to go now, it wasn't even midday yet, but she still went to wait for the lesson.

There was nobody left on the corridor. Nobody in the janitors ward. Nobody in the basement.

Where was Rarity? It was a mystery.

Chapter Five

Rarity opened her eyes. She tried to anyway. It's as if someone glued her eyelids together. When she finally managed to tear them apart, she looked around. The room was made of rocks. Just plain rocks. There was a crystal too, and she sat up and looked at herself in it.

"Hair is a mess... I knew it..." She mumbled.

"Hello, Miss Rarity." A voice echoed, bouncing off the rocks.

"Finally, someone who addresses me as Miss." Rarity mumbled. Then she looked around to see where the voice had come from.

"It's only me Rarity. Your ghost. Mr Starswirl." The voice came back, and Rarity's eyes grew wide in panic. She jumped off of the floor and swirled round both ways.

"Don't you DARE touch me!" Rarity warned.

"Wouldn't dare, Miss Rarity." The voice remained calm, even though Rarity was on the edge of fear.

"Leave me be! Send me to the academy!" Rarity demanded.

"You're in the academy." The voice replied with a chuckle.

"Show yourself!" Rarity yelled.

So he did. Rarity took a good look at him. Then Starwirl took a leap to Rarity. She screamed, in the fear she was going to be possessed, but no. It was more then that. He took a bite, a chunk out of her neck and stomach, and ripped half of her beautiful hair out. Well, it was covered in cobwebs currently, but that's besides the point. Rarity was left in this rock room, alone.

It was around tea, and the other five were back at the dorm.

"Rarity not back yet?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"Not yet." Replied Applejack.

Pinkie sighed, and Fluttershy paniced.

"Something awful has happened! I know it!" Fluttershy squealed.

"No, nothing bad, sugarcube." Applejack smiled at Fluttershy, but she didn't look so sure.

Fluttershy was breathing heavy and she was getting worked up. Rainbow Dash reassured her whilst Pinkie, Applejack and Twilight spoke.

"What has happened to her? People don't just disserpeir." Applejack asked. She tried to be calm, though you could sense the fear in her voice. Applejack had known Rarity since they were kids, and though different and they never got along so well, they both had a place in both their hearts for the other girl.

"I really don't know." Twilight replied.

"Should we check the basement again?" Asked Pinkie.

"No, we can't risk losing anyone else." Twilight told Pinkie.

There was a knock at the door, and Cloudchaser was at the door. She walked in and looked around. She looked confused.

"What ya want?" Rainbow snapped, and Cloudchaser looked taken aback.

"I- I was looking for Rarity? Is she here?" Asked Cloudchaser.

"No." Rainbow Dash replied.

"Oh... we were supposed to be doing a project for Science..." Cloudchaser shook her head. "When will she be back? Is she in the Food Cou-" She was cut off by Fluttershy.

"We don't know where she is!" She squeaked. She didn't want to talk about Rarity, she would cry.

"Oh. Alright." Cloudchaser replied, when she was pushed out of the way by a girl. She had blue, pale, flawless skin, and purple hair... Rarity!?!?

"Rarity!" Fluttershy ran and hugged her friend, and pulled away and looked at the blood on her shirt. She looked at Rarity's bloody neck and stomach, and fainted, whacking her head on the floor.

Whilst Cloudchaser and Rainbow Dash carried Flutters to First Aid, the othrrs were already halfway down the corridor with Rarity.

They stood outside First Aid, and the Doctor popped her head round.

"How is she, Doctor Redheart?" Asked Fluttershy, now recovered.

"Bad condition, but she'll live." The Doctor replied. "Have you had tea?"

"No." Pinkie replied with a groan, and her stomach groaned too.

"Go get some then. Rarity is in no condition for visitors." Doctor Redheart said, and with that, she shut the door.

"Food it is then." Applejack sighed. Cloudchaser had gone now, so it was Applejack, Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie.

They walked to the Food Court, and Sorain, Braeburn and Caramel bumped into the girls.

"Again?" Mumbled Twilight.

"Braeburn!" Yelled Applejack.

"Sorry cuz." Braeburn apologized.

"You're related?" Twilight asked.

"Unfortunately." Applejack sighed.

"You love me really cuz!" Braeburn teased.

Rainbow was staring at Sorain, her pink eyes fixed on his. Pinkie noticed and giggled.

"Hey, I'm Sorain." Sorain introduced himself to Dashie, noticing her stare.

"Rainbow Dash." Dashie smiled.

"Why you in such a hurry?" Asked Applejack.

"Looking for-" Braeburn was interrupted by a boy who flung himself at Braeburn.

"Discord!" Braeburn laughed, and the boys ran off.

"Dashie fancies Sorain!" Laughed Pinkie.

"No!" Rainbow Dash denied, and she stormed off to get food for herself.

"Temper." Applejack laughed, anf the girls went to get food.

They sat on the same table (Dashie joined them later on when she got bored). Applejack had apple pie, her favorite. Pinkie had snozzleberry pie, Twilight had spaghetti bolonaze, Fluttershy had veggie pizza. Rainbow had tuna and samon wraps with beans. It wad an odd choice, but it was hers to make.

The girls had a laugh, Twilight once again felt herself warming up to the group. Then she remembered to do her English study.

"Must go girls!" She alerted them, took a last forkful, threw her tray and plate on the rack for dirty dishes, and then dashed off.

What was she doing, making friends? There were studies to do! Things to learn!

"She needs to lighten up." Pinkie shook her head, and flicked a bit of pie at Dashie. It became a mega food fight, and Mrs Cake kept them behind so they could clean the whole court.

When all the girls returned to their dorm (excluding Rarity) it was well over 10. Rainbow said it wasn't late, but Applejack said she was tired and had a two hour active lesson, and wanted to rest her muscles. Fluttershy was already asleep, and Twilight was writing notes down.

"Darlin' there's much more to life then books and school. Sure, it's nice to be clever, but..." Applejack begun.

"I'm fine. This is my life." Twilight cut her off.

"It sure us sugarcube, but-" Applejack was interrupted again.

"No. Nothing." Twilight cut her off, got into her PJs, and went to sleep, and shortly after, so did the others.

Chapter Six

Twilight awoke to the sound of music. Pinkie had her phone out, and was blasting some song.

"Pinkie!" Yelled Twilight.

"Yeeeessssss Twilight?" Asked Pinkie innocently, batting her eyelashes.

"Turn it down!" Demanded Twilight.

"Turn it off!" Shouted Rainbow.

"Gee, gee, okay guys, sheez." Pinkie sighed, rolling her eyes.

"It's 6 in the morning, Pinkie! For goodness sakes." Rainbow Dash mumbled into her pillow.

"I need to get up." Yawned Applejack.

"So early? Classes don't start until like, 9!" Rainbow Dash gasped, turning over and staring at her friend.

"There's a race today, I told you. Canteen opens early for us, and then we do training. Then we race." Applejack replied, getting out of her things.

"Only for a race?" Asked Twilight.

"It's an important race. It happens once every year." Applejack replied.

"We had one like that at my old school." Rainbow Dash replied.

"Same in my school." Twilight replied.

"That's because it's against all the schools in Equestria. If we win, we get a load of money!" Applejack grinned in excitement.

"I hope you do well, Applejack!" Twilight smiled at her friend, and Applejack smiled back, needing the encouragment. She was nervous, and wanted to do her school proud.

"I want to race!" Complained Rainbow Dash.

"They only let the fastest on the team." Applejack replied.

"Hey! I beat you in a race yesterday!" Rainbow Dash growled. Applejack laughed.

"I'm just teasing. You can come with me if you want. We'll maybe let you on the team. One of the runners hurt themselves yesterday because they climbed on the janitors ladder and went on the roof. They fell off." Applejack explained.

"Ouch." Twilight winced as if she could feel the pain. "She's lucky she even survived."

"Indeed." Applejack nodded.

Fluttershy whimpered and opened an eye.

"Sorry sugarcube. Did we wake ya up?" Asked Applejack.

Fluttershy nodded sleepily and Applejack apologized and told the others to quieten down. Pinkie Pie was already asleep, and snoring heavily.

Applejack pulled on a red hoodie and grey shorts, and Rainbow Dash the same. They both put on their Nike trainers, and set off.

"Good luck!" Whispered Twilight, not wanting to wake Fluttershy again. Applejack and Rainbow Dash smiled at Twilight.

"Thanks." Whispered Rainbow Dash, to Twilight's surprise, and she shut the door.

Twilight snuggled down again, and couldn't seem to sleep. Usually the cause of this was because she was thinking too much, but she wasn't even thinking. She just couldn't sleep. So she got out of bed and made it up, and went for a shower. She changed into her uniform, and brushed her teeth and combed her hair. She looked very smart!

Shutting the bathroom door, she looked at Fluttershy, then walked towards the door and looked at Pinkie snoring. She giggled, and walked out of the dorm. She saw Sorain outside, and for once he was walking. He saw Twilight, and looked confused. Sorain waited for her, and asked her something.

"Are you on the runners team?" He asked.

"No." Twilight replied, and then she giggled at the thought. "Just imagine me running!"

"Yeah, I couldn't see you running." Sorain replied seriously, without a single chuckle.

"Are you?" Asked Twilight.

"Am I what?" Asked Sorain.

"Running." Twilight replied.

"Well duh!" Sorain replied. "I'm on Equestria's most famous track team!"

Twilight was silent. He musn't of been that famous, because she'd never heard of a Sorain on the Wonderbolt track team.

"Are you new?" Asked Twilight.

"To the Wonderbolts? Yes. I joined yesterday. But I'm still on it." Sorain replied.

"Okay." Twilight cut off the whole conversation, and Sorain took the note that she didn't want to speak anymore, and he turned the other way and started walking to the Food Court.

Twilight looked at her watch and it was half 6. She wanted to check on Rarity, but wasn't sure if she'd be awake. So she went to the library instead, and decided she would check on Rarity later.

"I'm so glad they let me on the team!" Rainbow Dash grinned, then she added "Or else you would of failed. Rainbow Dash is No. 1 racer!"

"Yeah right." Scoffed some ugly girl. She was a bright light blue, and had light orange and yellow hair, and her eyes were yellow too. "I'm the fastest." She grinned evily, and took her hand out of her purple hoodie. "Name's Lightning Dust."

Rainbow Dash looked at the girl. She had blinding yellow shorts on, and bright purple trainers. Cheap trainers. Rainbow Dash looked at her and scoffed, because Rainbow Dash knew she was fastest! Applejack, however, shook the girls hand right away.

"Applejack." Applejack introduced herself.

"Rainbow Dash." Muttered Rainbow.

A very pale light brown boy with dark brown spikey hair came to them. He smiled and shook his head. "If you guys think you're the fastest, you're utterly wrong."

Rainbow Dash scoffed. "You think you're the fastest?"

"No, not me." The boy replied, and he pointed over to a yellow girl, with fire coloured hair, and Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust both stared at her, their mouths in the shape of an 'o'.

"That's Spitfire!" Gasped Lightning Dust.

"Ohmygosh!" Rainbow Dash whispered, like it would be her last speech ever.

"Yup. She's gonna win the race. And my school will win!" The boy grinned.

"Humph, doubt it. Me and AJ here, we're gonna win the race, and Starswirl Academy will get the prize!" Rainbow Dash smiled doubtfully, putting her arm around Applejack's shoulders in a sporty way, however she managed to do that.

"Nope. We'll win, with Spitfire on our team, Cloudy Hall will win for sure!" The boy grinned.

"You're from Cloudsdale?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"Well yeah." The boy laughed.

"How could I have not noticed Spitfire in my own school!?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"She only joined this semester. Like me." The boy grinned. "I'm Crescent Moon."

"Rainbow Dash." Rainbow Dash replied. She didn't like this guy.

"Lightning Dust." Lightning Dust smiled.

"Applejack." Applejack smiled too.

"What's going on then?" Asked Sorain.

"Oh... hey, Sorain." Grinned Rainbow Dash.

"Hey... Rainbow... um... Rainbow Flash?" Sorain stuttered.

"Rainbow Dash." She corrected him.

"Crescent Moon! My bro!" Sorain fist bumped him, and spotted Spitfire. "I need to talk to Spitfire about Wonderbolt practice."

"You're in the Wonderbolts?" Gasped Rainbow Dash.

"You bet ya! Joined yesterday!" Grinned Sorain, and he walked over to Spitfire, Crescent Moon followed him.

"Damn! A wonderbolt!" Rainbow Dash smiled.

"Take it you want to be a wonderbolt?" Asked Lightning Dust.

"I sure do!" Rainbow Dash grinned.

"We share the same dream." Spitfire told her. "Now, I'm gonna get some grub." And with that, she flounced off.

"Good morning, Rarity!" Doctor Red Heart smiled, opening the curtians.

Rarity mumbled something and opened her eyes.

"What did you say?" Asked the doctor.

"Good morning." Rarity mumbled again, but the doctor heard her this time.

"How are you feeling today?" Asked Doctor Red Heart.

"Alright..." Muttered Rarity.

"That's good." Smiled the doctor.

"Can I brush my hair?" Asked Rarity.

"I don't think you can sit up just yet, Rarity. I'll brush it for you." The doctor grabbed the brush and started brushing Rarity's hair. Rarity noticed she was only brushing up to her mid neck area.

"Can you brush the bottom too?" Asked Rarity bluntly.

"I did." The doctor replied.

"What?!" Rarity gasped, and she tried to sit up.

"No, no! Don't you will hurt yourself!" The doctor cried, and she softly lay Rarity down again.

"Let me see my hair!" Rarity demanded. Doctor Red Heart got out a mirror and showed Rarity her face. Rarity wanted to scream, but she was unable. She was too shocked. Her hair was only halfway down her neck, and as if that wasn't scary enough, her face was covered in scars. Rarity shook her head and a tear fell down her cheek.

"It isn't that bad Rarity." The doctor smiled, wiping the tear away.

"That's because you're pretty. Your light pink hair and bright white skin." Rarity sighed and rolled over. "I'm going back to sleep."

Doctor Red Heart sighed and left Rarity to sleep. Until two visitors came 2 seconds after.

"May we see Rarity?" Asked a fimiliar voice.

"Twilight?" Mumbled Rarity, speaking to herself yet again. She rolled over and perked her head up, and sure enough, it was Twilight... along with Sweetie Belle!

"Rarity!" Squealed Sweetie Belle, and she hugged her sister close.

Everyone was amused and busy, apart from Pinkie and Fluttershy, who were sleeping, and then classes started. Twilight's day was pretty good, she had all her best subjects. The best thing about it, was that due to the English room's leak on the top floor (it was still being worked on, but everywhere else was fine now), she had a lesson in the library!

Today was a good day.

"And we have a winner!" Yelled a funny looking man.

"Damn it!" Yelled Lightning Dust, throwing her water bottle on the ground.

"Well done!" Applejack smiled.

"That was pretty good.... Rainbow Dash." Sorain grinned.

"It was indeed." Spitfire smiled. Rainbow Dash spun round, and spotted her role model, right there. Right infront of her face.

Today was a good day.

Applejack smiled at Rainbow Dash and Spitfire. She was glad that the school had left Rainbow Dash on the team. Spitfire almost won, and Lightning Dust nearly did too. If she hadn't of been on the team, they would of lost.

But they won!

Today was a good day.

Fluttershy had been assigned to animal duty in her science class, and she couldn't of been more happy. She had been smiling all day, taking care of this fluffy bunny would be so much fun! She had called him angel, because he had acted so wonderfully when he was having his tail fluffed.

Today was a good day.

Pinkie Pie had been promoted to chief party planner! She got to plan all the parties! And with the Autumn Stem coming up, she would be able to plan it all! This was going to be the best school dance ever!

Today was a good day.

Rarity was ugly. It was official. She would be mocked forever, and would never get a date for the Autumn Stem. She wasn't a very nice person, so nobody would go for personality. This is why she depended on her looks. And she was ugly. Horrible. A monster girl.

And to make it worse, he visited again. Starswirl. He had only looked at her and grinned, he actually called her lucky. But then he left.

Today was a bad day.

Chapter Seven

"I saw Rarity this morning." Twilight told the girls as they changed into their PJ's.

"Oh yeah? How's she doing?" Asked Applejack.

"She's getting better. She has really short hair now, and scars on her face." Twilight replied.

"Oh dear." Fluttershy whispered.

"At least she's getting better." Applejack smiled.

"We should plan a get well soon party!" Pinkie Pie grinned.

"I'm not sure Doctor Red Heart would let us in the ward." Twilight shook her head at Pinkie's suggestion.

"How about a glad you got better party?" Pinkie Pie tried again, and all the girls agreed.

"I'm glad it will just be us... I don't like mixing with others..." Fluttershy smiled, thankfully.

"Oh no! It won't just be us! We'll have it in the academy's hall! I got promoted chief party planner!" Pinkie told the girls her news, and they all smiled.

"Well congrats Pinkie Pie!" Applejack grinned. "I have good news too! The academy won the race!"

"And I won it!" Rainbow Dash squealed, then she coughed. "Obviously."

"That's great!" Twilight smiled.

"Rainbow Dash also got to meet her idol too." Applejack added, and looked at Rainbow Dash.

"Spitfire! I finally met her!" Rainbow Dash announced, and she jumped onto her bed, surprisingly.

"I have news too..." Whispered Fluttershy.

"You do?" Pinkie Pie asked, with a huge smile.

"Yes... I get to look after Angel... the rabbit..." Fluttershy told them, with a small smile spreading out across her face.

"That's great!" Applejack smiled.

"We all had good days then!" Twilight smiled and got out a book.

"Studying? Again?" Rainbow Dash sighed.

"I have a test coming up..." Twilight replied, and Rainbow Dash groaned.

"We all have that test!" Rainbow Dash complained.

"And you should study. Don't you want a good grade?" Asked Twilight, and she sat on her bed and began to read.

"She's right, you know... I might study a bit." Applejack agreed to Twilight's idea, and went to grab a book herself.

"Me too..." Fluttershy grabbed a book too, and began to read.

"I'm not." Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes.

"Me either! Let's go out onto the dorm garden, Dashie! It's pretty at night, they have lanterns and music and sweets!" Pinkie Pie squealed excitedly.

"Cool! That sounds fun!" Rainbow Dash climbed off her bed and opened the door. "See ya later, eggheads."

In the morning, Pinkie woke up to Twilight shaking her, and she groaned.

"No." Pinkie Pie mumbled.

"Come on. It's Friday." Twilight told her.

"She's gonna have to report in sick." Rainbow told the girls.

"Why?" Asked Fluttershy.

"She kinda had a few drinks..." Rainbow admitted.

"Pinkie Pie!" Scolded Twilight.

"Mhmmm...." Pinkie groaned, but Twilight left her. Pinkie opened one eye, and the girls were already dressed and ready.

"Get better soon Pinkie Pie..." Fluttershy whispered.

Pinkie smiled and rolled over to sleep some more.

The girls left to go to their lessons, and then got stopped by a teacher.

"Hi Miss Cheerilee!" Smiled Applejack. Miss Cheerilee was Applebloom's teacher.

"Hello big Applebloom. Girls, there is an important assembly in the main hall. Go there, then lessons will remain as normal." Cheerilee smiled.

The girls headed to the hall, and sat down. They noticed Nurse Red Heart with Rarity in a wheelchair.

"She must be getting better if she can sit up." Twilight whispered to the girls.

"She does look different..." Applejack nodded.

The assembly started as normal, Principal talking about some improvements and about the upcoming tests, then, he said something that shocked everyone.

"As some of you spread rumours about, Starswirl's ghost is infact haunting the school." Principle said. Everyone exchanged glances.

Pinkie was awoken again by a voice. She rolled over, and was face to face with Starswirl.

"Rarity has been injured majorly by him, Fluttershy has seen him as she reported, and the girls in the dorm agreed, and Nurse Red Heart caught him trying to communicate with Rarity." Principle carried on.

"Hello, Pinkie." Grinned Starswirl evily.

"I advise you all to stay in groups, and don't go into the basements." He shot a look at the girls.

Pinkie screamed.

"That concludes our assembly." He finished, and people flooded out of the hall, people apologising to Rarity for calling her crazy.

Pinkie was gone.

Fluttershy headed off to her English lesson, going the opposite way to her friends, on her own. She was worried incase Starswirl got her, but then someone pushed her over and ran. Fluttershy whimpered as she fell, and cried as she hit the ground. She sat up and sobbed, and the person that pushed her over looked sorry.

"Um..." He mumbled and Fluttershy looked at him.

"I'm sorry..." The culprit apologised.

"I-It's okay..." Fluttershy mumbled, and he helped her up.

"My name is Discord." He introduced himself with a smile and did jazz hands and his name appeared above his head like magic.

"You're the naughty one, aren't you?" Fluttershy asked.

"Chaotic, that's me!" Grinned Discord. "Are you in 235 for English?"

"Yes..." Fluttershy replied.

Discord took her arm and grinned as she looked scared. "Allow me to be a gentleman." He smiled and they walked to English.

"Yo, Rainbow!" Called Sorain.

Rainbow Dash spun round and saw Sorain.

"Congrats on yesterday!" Sorain grinned.

"Thanks. Told you I would win." Rainbow grinned.

"Yeah..." Sorain itched his neck. "Um, hey, Rainbow, would you like to come to the local cinema tomorrow? You don't have to..."

"Of course!!!!!!" Rainbow squealed, then she stopped herself. "Why not."

Sorain grinned and laughed. "You're a strange one." He hesitated but grabbed Rainbow's hand. She blushed for the first time in forever, but didn't shake it off. She was beaming.

Chapter Eight

Rainbow was the first one to return from lessons, and she was still beaming.

"Hey, Pinkie, guess what?" Rainbow Dash giggled.

"What?" Pinkie asked bluntly. Dashie ignored this, she probably still had a headache.

"I held hands with Sorain! He asked me to go on a date!" Dashie squealed.

"Good for you." Pinkie sat up, slowly and wobbly, as if she'd never controlled her body before. Her head hit her leg, and she swerved to the ladder. She climbed down, her head hung, and she walked out if the room.

Dashie looked confused but shrugged it off.

Pinkie made her way over to the doctor ward, and Doctor Red Heart smiled.

"Hello Pinkie! Here to see Rarity?" She asked.

"Yes." Pinkie replied. The Doctor let her in, and Pinkie looked at Rarity.

"Hello Pinkie Pie." Smiled Rarity.

"Heart pure gold, skin soft snow, eyes pure sparkle...." Pinkie mumered, and Rarity was confused. Pinkie's eyes turned white, and she grabbed Rarity. Rarity screamed as loud as possible, making the nurse race in. The nurse watched Pinkie try to eat Rarity's arm, so she whacked Pinkie with the brush, knocking her to the floor. Pinkie lay there, limp and almost lifeless. A white spirit floated out of the body, and shaped into a figure. Starswirl.

Pinkie groaned and sat up, rubbing her head.

Starswirl looked at Rarity and grinned.

"Why me?" Exclaimed Rarity.

"You have the purest heart, softest skin and sparkiliest eyes." Starswirl begun. "A spirit like yours, could replace mine. I would be alive once more!" He laughed evily.

"No! I won't let you kill me!" Rarity yelled.

"I won't let him." The Doctor stood her ground, and Starswirl lept at her, as he had done to Rarity. He took a bite, and Pinkie and Rarity watched as he devoured Doctor Red Heart.

Nothing was left of her after that. Only a dribble of her blood, dripping from his mouth.

"You monster!" Rarity yelled. Twilight opened the door, letting herself in. She saw Starswirl, and pulled out her ghost machine, almost capturing him. But he lept away, disappearing.

"Rarity! Pinkie! Are you okay?!" Asked Twilight frantically.

"He possessed Pinkie and tried to eat me, he said he wanted to eat my soul, so he'd be alive!" Rarity's eyes grew wide in fear.

"I still have a hangover." Pinkie complained.

"Where's Doctor Red Heart?" Asked Twilight.

"He ate her!" Rarity squealed.

Twilight and Pinkie helped Rarity into her wheelchair, and they took her back to their dorm.

When they got there, everyone was in the dorm.

"Hey, Rarity is back!" Rainbow smiled.

Twilight explained what had happened, and the girls listened.

"Let's put that all behind us." Applejack smiled.

"Applejack, sweetie, a ghost is after my soul, and you're telling me to calm down?!" Rarity growled.

"For now. Rainbow got herself a date!" Applejack announced.

"Woohoo..." Cheered Fluttershy in a quiet voice.

"Wonderful darling. Who with?" Asked Rarity.

"Sorain." Rainbow smiled.

"How... Wonderful." Rarity raised an eyebrow.

Rainbow ignored this. "Fluttershy has a crush too!" Rainbow announced.

Fluttershy blushed. "Wha- No I don't!"

"I saw you with him!" Rainbow grinned.

"So?" Fluttershy was a deep red.

"Don't tease, Dashie." Applejack scolded.

"Who was she with?" Asked Rarity.

"Discord!" Laughed Dashie.

"Discord?!" Snorted Rarity.

Fluttershy blushed scarlet.

"It's okay, Fluttershy! I think you'd make a lovely couple." Pinkie smiled, making Fluttershy smile too.

"I'm hungry." Applejack complained.

Applejack dressed in a red plaid top and jeans with cowboy boots. Rainbow dressed in a red T-shirt and denim jeans with red sneakers. Rarity got into her white dress and white pumps. Pinkie got into her pink dress and blue pumps. Fluttershy dressed into her yellow top and pink pumps and skirt. Twilight dressed into her purple dress and pumps. And so, the girls set off to tea.

"Hello Fluttershy." Said a voice. Fluttershy spun round to see Discord. Fluttershy blushed and Discord took Fluttershy's hand, making her blush more. Rarity and Rainbow snorted, and Applejack shot a nasty look at the two girls. Discord and Fluttershy walked off.

"Twit twooo!" Giggled Rarity.

"Yo, Rainbow." Sorain walked up to the girls.

"Yo. Sup?" Rainbow smiled.

"Wanna play soccer with us?" Asked Sorain.

"I need to eat." Rainbow replied.

Sorain grabbed a box of chicjen from his bag and shoved it under Dashie's nose.

"Thought you might say that." Sorain grinned. Rainbow Dash took the box and ran off with Sorain.

"You didn't laugh at Dashie." Applejack looked at Rarity.

"They're cute together." Rarity replied.

The girls got tea and hung around in the relax room after. Rarity was sewing, and Applejack and Twilight were reading. Pinkie just did something. Nobody knew what she was doing. She was singing whilst speaking to everyone. However that worked.

The girls met up again and went to the form garden party, which was full due to it being Friday.

"I won the match! Me and Sorain against Caramel and Braeburn." Rainbow smiled.

"Great!" Rarity smiled.

Pinkie bounced over from the dance floor and smiled at the girls.

"They're playing a slow song next." Pinkie told them. She took a sip from her lemonade (staying away from alcohol) and grinned as Discord approached behind Fluttershy. He grabbed her waist and pulled her into a hug when she squealed. The slow song came on, and he took her hand, pulling her to the dance floor.

"Uh... Dashie?" Sorain also came to the girls.

"Yeah?" Rainbow stopped drinking her coke and looked up.

"You... you wanna dance?" Sorain asked. Rainbow shrugged and stood up, and they walked to the dance floor hand in hand.

"They are so cute!" Rarity squealed.

"So, Fluttershy..." Discord looked at Fluttershy straight in the eye.

"Yes?" Fluttershy looked up.

"I kinda... um... Pff." Discord rolled his eyes. "Wanna be my girlfriend?"

Fluttershy blushed and stuttered.

"I guess that's a yes." Discord pulled her in and kissed her. Just as Sorain did to Dashie.

When the girls went to bed, they told the others what happened, and they were beaming. They slept with a smile.

Chapter Nine

The girls were awoken in the middle of the night by a loud knock at the door.

"TWILIGHT!!!!" Came a cry, "Hurry up! Please!"

The girls got out of bed and Twilight opened the door, and Vinyl pulled Twilight into their room. It was messy, with clothes everywhere and Coke and Sprite cans everywhere. But that isn't what Twilight was looking at, she was looking at Starswirl, once again.

"You sure are enjoying visiting us." Twilight said with confidence, looking straight at Starswirl.

"I sure am. You folks are pure entertainment. But... there's one thing..." Starswirl closed his eyes and chuckled, and when he opened them, he was showing off his sharp teeth and his eyes glew a dark red, "I like the food better!"

He went straight for Octavia, who was hiding under a bunk bed, comforting Derpy. Bon Bon, Lyra and Vinyl screamed as Octavia was grabbed by the monster.

"Don't you dare!" Vinyl screamed, and tried to knock Octavia from his grasp.

"Applejack! Get my ghost thing!" Twilight demanded, and Applejack threw it at Twilight, who missed the catch and it knocked Vinyl to the floor.

"Sorry!" Yelled Applejack from the corridor. By this time, many people had awoken and there was a crowd outside the dorm room.

Vinyl got up and threw the ghost hunter machine at Twilight, who luckily caught it this time, and aimed it at Starswirl. She tried to catch him, but the machine would not work. Octavia screamed desperatly when she noticed the machine was not working, and Starswirl began to laugh.

"Get off!" Derpy demanded, getting out rom under the bed, and she leaped up and grabbed Octavia, and they both fell to the floor.

Twilight was baffled and was checking the machine. It had no chips, it was beeping because a ghost was near... so why didn't it catch Starswirl?

Berry Punch was in the corridor, and Starswirl grabbed her and ripped off her head with his teeth. Everyone screamed and ran off in hope of escape, and Twilight invited Bon Bon, Lyra, Vinyl, Octavia and Derpy into their dorm. It was crowded, but they were safe.

"Guys, get some sleep. It's like, 2am." Dashie sighed, and she climbed into bed.

The girls all went to sleep, the guests sleeping at the other end of the bed as others, but Twilight stayed up and sat in the bathroom, as she needed light and didn't want to disturb the others.

"Dear Celestia,

I greatly appreciate the ghost machine, but you see, I think it has broken. It did not catch Starswirl!"

Twilight read her letter out as she wrote it, and filled it with the events that had happened. She didn't know how to send it as nobody had shown her where the post office was.

"Twilight?" Asked a soft, tired voice. Twilight turned around.

"What are you doing awake?" Asked Twilight.

"I could ask you the same thing." Fluttershy rubbed her eyes and sat on the bathroom floor, next to Twilight.

"I am trying to work out what is wrong with this machine." Twilight replied. She examined the machine closely.

"Maybe it isn't supposed to catch the ghost. Maybe it just finds them." Fluttershy suggested.

"That could be correct." Twilight mumbled, deep in thought. Then she looked up. "You seem too calm about this situation."

"I'm trying not to lose my head." Fluttershy replied with a giggle.

"I see." Twilight got back to examining the machine.

Fluttershy looked at Twilight with sad eyes. "But I can't help. I just can't. I'm terrified."

"You know, I'm surprised that Starswirl didn't chose you." Twilight didn't look up, but carried on turning the machine this way and that.

"I am glad he did not... though I wish he hadn't chose Rarity. I'd rather it be me then Rarity..." Fluttershy mumbled, and she stood up. "I shall go back to bed now."

"Goodnight." Twilight still didn't look up.

*****

"Happy Saturday everybody~!" Sung Pinkie at 10am.

"For crying out loud, Pinkie Pie! Do you have any clue what the time is?!" Dashie roared.

"Of course I do! It's time to get up, sleepy heads! I have a brilliant day planned for us!" Pinkie grinned.

"Like what?" Vinyl asked, rubbing her eyes and sitting up.

Pinkie Pie got out her pink notebook and opened it at a certian page.

"1. We are going to get breakfast!
Duh! Becase we have a brilliant day planned!

We are going to play tennis!
Doesn't that sound fun? Because if you look outside, it's so sunny!
We are going for a swim!
You know, to cool off because of the heat and tennis and stuff!
Do whatever and relax because...
Party starts at 8pm!
Fun, right!!!???" Pinkie exclaimed.

"Yeah. I guess." Dashie sighed, getting up and making her bed.

"May I ask if we are joining?" Octavia asked.

"Yesyesyes! You are!" Pinkie grinned.

They took showers and got dressed.

Everybody got dressed into sporty clothes. Twilight wore purple tennis shorts and purple tank top and purple trainers and white socks, and Dash wore the same outfit in blue, except she had white socks too. Rarity wore a light purple tennis skirt and white polo and white socks and purple trainers, and Pinkie had the same outfit but her skirt was pink and her top and trainers were yellow. Fluttershy wore a white tank top and yellow tennis skirt and yellow sandals.

"You can't wear sandals, Fluttershy! They'll fall off!" Dashie told her.

"Well, I'm not wearing trainers, it's too hot." Fluttershy replied.

"Here, darling. Have my special shoes. They are like trainers, but made of thin material! Best of all, they match your outfit!" Rarity smiled.

"Thank you, Rarity!" Fluttershy smiled, taking the shoes and putting them on.

Applejack wore orange shorts and an orange short sleeved jacket with a white polo under it. She wore orange trainers and white socks. Derpy wore a yellow skirt and grey polo with grey trainers and yellow trainer socks, chosen by Octavia. Octavia wore a grey skirt and purple polo, with purple socks and grey trainers. Vinyl wore white shorts and a blue tank top, with blue trainers and white socks. Bon Bon wore a yellow skort and blue polo and yellow trainers and white trainers. Her polo had a sweet pattern on it, and Rarity didn't like her outfit too much, but gave it a compliment anyway. Lyra wore a mint coloured skirt and golden tank top and wore them with mint coloured crocs, which Rarity had a nice laugh at.

They all wore swimsuits or bikinis under their outfits, the colour of their so it wouldn't look too embarassing if somepony saw a strap by accident. They brushed their hair and teeth and washed their faces, and went off to the Food Hall.

Everyone had cereal this morning. It was either cornflakes or coco pops. There wasn't much conversation, and even Pinkie seemed quiet. They all went outside when they had finished eating, and sat on the empty tennis courts, letting their breakfast settle before they did sports.

They were sat in a circle, and then Pinkie had an idea.

"Let's play a game..." Pinkie got her water bottle and spun it.

"I am not playing this." Sighed Bon Bon.

"Oh, please." Octavia rolled her eyes. "It's the truth or dare version."

"It is?" Asked Pinkie, and the girls all stared at her, and Pinkie collapsed in laughter. "Gotcha!"

The girls played for a good half hour, mostly taking truths and most of the dares being passed or called stupid. Then they played tennis.

The weather was boiling hot, and Twilight and Vinyl and Lyra were already sweating. They got in pairs. Applejack and Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Vinyl, Octavia and Twilight, Bon Bon and Lyra, Pinkie and Derpy, and Rarity refused to play sports, and sat under a tree.

"If you didn't want to play, why did you get all dressed up in sports stuff?" Asked Applejack.

"Because this skirt is wonderfully cute." Rarity smiled, and sipped at her water bottle.

Octavia and Twilight were against Applejack and Rainbow Dash whilst Bon Bon and Lyra were against Pinkie and Derpy, and Fluttershy and Vinyl sat with Rarity.

"Seriously? You couldn't of made the teams more fair?" Asked Twilight.

"We're invinsible!" Laughed Rainbow Dash, high fiving Applejack.

"I don't think so." Octavia flicked her fringe to the side and got ready to play.

"She's right, you know. She's won so many championships." Vinyl told everyone.

The game started, and for a while tennis balls flew from side to side.

By the end of the game, Lyra and Bon Bon had lost as they had given Derpy and Pinkie a fair chance, and Octavia and Twilight won to Rainbow Dash and Applejack.

"Applejack! This is your fault!" Rainbow yelled.

"No it ain't, sugarcube. They are just good players." Applejack shok hands with the two girls, and said 'Good Game'.

"I didn't know you could play that well!" Twilight smiled.

"I have many talents." Octavia winked at Twilight and laughed.

Rarity played songs on her phone whilst the girls played. At the end of the matches, Octavia and Twilight ended up winning, Rainbow and AJ were second.

The girls all went for a drink of lemonade as the heat had got them sweating like mad. Or as Applejack put it - 'Sweatier then a pig on butcher's day'. Whatever that meant.

By this time everyone was laughing and joking, except Dashie who was in a serious strop.

The girls all went to the school pool, which once again, had nobody in it.

"Where is everyone today?" Asked Pinkie.

The girls took their clothes off and dived right into the pool in their costumes. They had fun splashing around and jumping into the pool.

"Boo!" Roared Pinkie, jumping infront of Dash. Pinkie had swum benith her and was now nose to nose with Dashie.

"Pinkie!" Yelled Dash, her face scarlet.

"Yeeeeessss?" Asked Pinkie.

"Don't do that!" Dashie yelled.

"Bet you were scared, huh Dash?" Asked Pinkie, swimming away.

"No!" Replied Dashie, who folded her arms.

"Aw, come on Dashie! Lighten up!" Pinkie grinned.

"I will not!" Dashie sulked.

"Mardy bum!" Laughed Vinyl, splashing her. Dashie splashed back, and there was a huge splash fight between the girls, and Dashie cheered up.

The girls all went back to their dorms and took showers again.

Twilight went off to find a letter box or something, and was wondering where everyone was. The Food Hall was not so busy this morning, but at least people were there. Maybe Saturday's were always lazy days in this school. Maybe everyone stayed in bed all day, or at least stay in their dorms. Twilight walked to the Library and opened the door. Miss Cheerilee was there, organising books and what not.

"Excuse me, Miss?" Asked Twilight. Twilight looked around and still saw no-one.

"Yes?" Asked Miss Cheerilee, looking at Twilight.

"Do you have some kind of letter box?" Asked Twilight.

"Over there." Miss Cheerilee pointed at a letter box in the corner of the Library.

"Thank you." Twilight posted her letter and sat down in one of the chairs, and got out a book.

"Sorry to disturb your reading, but can I ask why you are on your own?" Asked Miss Cheerilee.

"Oh, I forgot that the headteacher told us to stay in pairs or groups..." Twilight muttered, deep into the book.

"But, aren't you scared?" Asked Miss Cheerilee.

"Of what?" Asked Twilight.

"Starswirl, of course. He ate Nurse Redheart and ripped off Berry Punch's head, you know." Miss Cheerilee told Twilight.

"Yes, I do know. I was there. And I am not scared, I know I can beat him somehow." Twilight told Cheerilee.

"Yes, it's your friend he's after, isn't it?" Miss Cheerilee asked.

"My room-mate, yes, he is after her." Twilight replied. "Are you scared?"

"I am indeed." Miss Cheerilee nodded.

"Why are you on your own, then?" Asked Twilight.

"I am not." Miss Cheerilee replied.

Three kids tumbled in front of Twilight. Twilight recognised them. Scootaloo, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle.

"Heya!" Sweetie Belle smiled.

"I thought you girls were putting books away?" Asked Miss Cheerilee.

"We will, we'll get round to it." Applebloom smiled.

"Aren't you room-mates with Rainbow Dash?" Asked Scootaloo to Twilight.

"Yes..." Twilight replied.

"And Applejack!" Applebloom grinned.

"And Rarity!" Squeaked Sweetie Belle.

"Yes... Hey, speaking of Rarity, she's gotten better, you know. She hasn't used her wheelchair all day." Twilight told Sweetie Belle.

"She's out of the doctors?" Asked Sweetie Belle. Twilight glanced at Cheerilee.

"She doesn't know about Redheart!" Mouthed Cheerilee.

"Yep..." Twilight replied to Sweetie Belle.

"Can I see her?" Asked Sweetie Belle.

"And me see Applejack?" Asked Applebloom.

"And me see Rainbow?" Asked Scootaloo.

"Sure, sure..." Twilight replied. She put the book back and took the girls to see their sisters (and idol).

The girls all caught up with their sisters, and Twilight went back to her book.

*****

The girls were dressed their best, and set off outside. There were many people here, which was a relif to Pinkie.

Everyone danced the night away, some getting drunk, some not even drinking alcohol. Pinkie did get drunk, and stained her dress as she threw up everywhere. Dashie took her back to the dorms.

"I love you, Dahie." Pinkie slurred.

"I'm Dashie, not Dahie, Pinkie." Dashie corrected the drunk teen.

"Yeah, yeah. I love you." Pinkie tapped Dashie's nose.

"Yeah, yeah." Dashie tucked Pinkie into bed and Fluttershy came into the room.

"Sorain wants you." Fluttershy told Dash.

"Alright." Dashie went outside to Sorain, and Fluttershy opened the dorm window so some cool air got into the stuffy room.

"More beer! I demand!" Pinkie yelled.

"No, Pinkie... sorry... You are just a bit drunk..." Fluttershy whispered.

"Drunk?! No! I am not!" Pinkie roared.

Fluttershy squeaked sorry and ran to get someone else to look after her. Applejack came in and got Pinkie some water, and was surprisingly sweet.

"No more drink for you." Applejack said, and Pinkie went to sleep.

As the night went on, everyone came back to the dorm to go to sleep. Except Dashie.
