Ivy came to ponyville because it was a peaceful town, with little to distract from her work, to her dismay, that all changes when she goes out to a quiet spot in the nearby forest, here, she stumbles by a surprisingly polite changeling, unfortunately, she cannot say the same about his pursuers.
From here, Ivy's time in ponyville descends into madness, exactly the kind she came here to avoid.
