Bubbles and numerous glass tubes lined Twilight's basement, smoking and bubbling towards the very top of the tubes. ''Thanks again for letting me work in your basement Twilight!'' Holly dash said excitedly. '' No problem Holly Dash, anything for a friend!'' Twilight replied, ''Now again, why did you want to work in here?'' Holly smiled and told her, ''Because I need to become better at magic! Then maybe people will start noticing me again!'' Twilight just laughed and trotted out the basement door, taking one last look at her pink friend. ''Just make sure you don't mess the place up okay?'' Holly Dash nodded as Twilight finally left, giving the unicorn some space to work.
A pink glow covered Holly's horn, lifting a substance of some sort, and poured it into a large caldron. Green smoke puffed out, making Holly cough for a moment before continuing on with her project. Holly needed to perfect this transformation spell, it would give her more attention, and hopefully become an honorary background pony. Holly picked up another substance, Dragon claws. It would be the key substance in the spell. Holly planned to pour the substance onto something small, something that could not cause much damage to ponyville. After she finished pouring in the dragon claws, Holly Dash picked up the final ingredient.
Toothpaste.
Holly's friend, Colgate had helped with that. She was, after all, a dentist. Holly Dash pondered for a moment why she would need toothpaste, she didn't need the dragon's teeth to be pearly white. Holly shrugged it off and came back to her work. Soon after she squeezed in the toothpaste, a plume of pink and gray smoke rose from the caldron. The ground shook, causing Holly to slip, and unfortunately, right into the caldron. Aside from the smell and constant shaking of the earth, all in all it wasn't that bad. It didn't hurt Holly Dash in any way, so Holly thought it was unnecessary to panic, this probably happened all the time.
Holly Dash felt a tingling sensation envelop her body, only stopping moments later when the ground stopped shaking also. Holly pulled herself out of the caldron, and blearily looked around, wondering why the basement had become so small. When she lifted her head she felt the roof of the basement bump into it, sending rumbles all across the room. Holly Dash heard a small gasp and as she turned around, she saw Twilight staring up at her. Wait, up? Holly thought, last Holly remembered, she and Twilight were the same size. ''DRAGON!'' Twilight yelled. Holly Dash swerved her head in search of the beast, but to no avail.
What are you talking about Twiliy? Holly tried to ask. But all that came out was a roar that sent the basement into shaking again. Holly Dash covered her mouth, wishing she had not heard what she thought she heard. Holly felt something scaly reach her lips and took her hooves away from her mouth. Only they weren't hooves, Holly Dash looked down to see razor-sharp claws that looked like they could cut through metal.
Holly looked at herself head to tail, gasping at the different things that had changed. She now had large pink scaled body with yellow, blue, and purple fur along her spine and head. Holly Dash was now a DRAGON.
