The Problem With Serial Killersby TgTfProductionsChaptersFluttershyThe Start of it AllAn Impromptu MeetingTwilight Sparkle (Alternate)Twilight SparkleFluttershyBarry woke up in a warm soft feather bed, his head was propped up against a plushy pillow that seemed to have been made for his head it was so comfortable. Barry lifted up his arms and noticed that there were faded bruises up his entire forearm. He wondered about how he ended up here, wherever here was but his memory came up blank. After Barry thought it through he decided it would be good if he tried to find out where he was and how he got here. Barry pushed off the bed with a pained grunt and as he slowly got to his feet, his legs buckled out from under him to weak to support his body's weight. He fell to the floor with a crash and lay there too weak to get up, about a minute passed when he heard what sounded like hoof beats pounding down the hall, after the sound ended he heard a voice. "Oh my goodness, are you alright? Hovering above him was what appeared to be a yellow pegasus, Barry scrambled against the wall opposite the pegasus scared out of his mind. The yellow pegasus attempted to comfort him, she spoke to him as one would a scared animal. "It's alright big guy, I won't hurt you, I'm here to take care of you.. Hearing the yellow pegasus speak, startled him out of his state of fear and he hesitantly said. "Did you just speak?" The yellow pegasus appeared taken aback as well, she opened her mouth as if to speak but instead emitted what he thought sounded like a squeal of glee. The yellow pegasus yelled out "Oh my gosh you can talk, I have never met an animal that could talk." This troubled Barry very much, here he was face to face with a creature from Greek mythology, who was acting like an excited school girl who was about to meet Justin Bieber. But what troubled him the most was that she had implied that he was animal, usually Barry would have taught them a lesson, but decided to let it go. However Barry was not going to let her off the hook just yet he said to her. "My dear girl, I am not an animal. I am an intelligent creature just like yourself and I would be grateful if you treat me as you would treat your own kind instead of treating me like your pet. I have no desire to start something with you, but you'd best watch what you say. Do I make myself clear?" Fluttershy seemed taken aback with his little speech, but she nodded and softly said. "I'm sorry." Barry replied "All is forgiven, you did not know." The pegasus's mood seemed to perk up when he said this. She trotted over to him and looked him in the eye's which were a deep navy blue like the depths of the ocean, and she asked him. "What's your name?" Barry replied "My name is Barry, and what might your name be?" "My name is Fluttershy" the yellow pegasus replied. Barry remembering his manners said. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Ms. Fluttershy." Fluttershy giggled at this and said, "I didn't realize that you were so charismatic." Barry gave her a small grin in reply, which she returned in kind. But a thought crossed her mind and the smile dissolved from her face. She wondered how he could be so happy if he was away from his family like this. His family must be worried sick about him. Being the kind and caring pony that she is, Fluttershy asked Barry. "Do you miss your friend's and family right now?" As soon as Barry heard the question that Fluttershy asked his jaw clenched and his eyes narrowed. Seeing Barry's reaction to the question that she just asked, she felt even worse she was about to apologize when Barry cut her off. "There is no reason to feel bad Fluttershy, your question just caught me off guard that's all. But to answer what you asked me, yes I do, everyday for the past six years I wonder what I could have done differently to save them." Fluttershy gasped, tears welling up in her eyes. She tried to comfort Barry, but she could not stop crying. Barry walked over to Fluttershy slid down beside her and draped his arm over her shoulder and embrace her and softly spoke. "Its okay Fluttershy, It's okay it's okay." Over and over until she calmed down. After her crying had been reduced to a soft whimper, Barry asked her, "would you like me to tell you about what happened?" "But how can you bear to think about it let alone talking about it if you saw your family die in front of you? Fluttershy asked bewildered. Barry replied "My father before he died, told me to be strong, to be a man and make him proud, he also told me to avenge him and my family and that is exactly what I did." "What do you mean, you avenged them?" Fluttershy inquired. Barry thought of how to phrase what he was about to say so Fluttershy would be able to understand. After thinking for about a minute he said. "When I say I avenged my family I mean that I found the people that were responsible for my families death, and I slaughtered them all. I chopped them to pieces and I showed them no mercy, anyone that was directly involved died, there blood was like a sea that stained the floor where they fell." Fluttershy looked at Barry in horror and demanded. "Even if they did something as horrible as killing your family. How could you do something so horrible?" Barry smiled an evil grin. "Allow me to show you my dear." he said as he pulled a skinning knife out of his pocket. The Start of it AllBarry walked towards Fluttershy, knife raised and a wide smile plastered on his face. Fluttershy looked at Barry with horror realizing what he was about to do, she screamed and cowered against the wall. "Why are you doing this Barry?" she cried. Barry replied with monotony "You asked me how I could do something so horrible, so I am showing you." Barry raised the knife above his head, the cold metal gleaming in the candle light as it screamed hungrily for the yellow pegasus's blood. Barry plunged the knife into Fluttershy's abdomen, and Fluttershy screamed as the knives icy steel slithered past her ribs. Barry pulled the knife out and Fluttershy clenched the wound as she screamed her pain to the world. Barry towered above Fluttershy his knife dripping with the pegasus's blood. Fluttershy just lay where she was, to shocked to do anything except for cry and bleed. She somehow managed to get one question past the bile in her throat before she passed out. "Why Barry?" She woke up again and she was still siting in the same place but her wound had been bandaged up. Looking around she saw Barry sitting across the room with eyes closed, his chest rising and falling with steady breaths so she assumed he was asleep. Gathering every bit of courage she had she slowly got up, and walked out of the den, into the hallway, she had to quickly get Angel Bunny from his room and get out of here before Barry woke up. She trotted into Angels room, and almost screamed at the sight. Angel had been chopped into pieces and his head mounted on a pike in the middle of the room. She wanted to just flop down on the floor, and cry but she had to be strong for him, she would mourn him later. As she made a fast gallop for the door something big blocked her path. She looked up into his face, Barry had a huge grin and a mad glint in his eye. "Going somewhere?" he asked. Fluttershy squeaked and tried to run, but was picked up by the throat in a massive choke hold and was thrown back into the corner she woke up in, she landed with a loud crunch and screamed again as she felt her two of her ribs break. Barry laughed at her pain and said "Shut up or I will kill you right now." Upon hearing this Fluttershy stopped, but continued to quietly whimper in pain, Barry looked at her and said. "There is a key detail that I left out when I told you about when I avenged my family. After I killed the man that were directly responsible for my family, and finished killing a few of his underlings for good measure. I felt as if I couldn't stop there, the adrenaline that coursed through my veins as I chopped them up, felt amazing. I loved every little bit of it, the feel of their blood running through my fingers, the sound of their screams piercing the air. After I had chopped up everyone their into chunks of meat, I couldn't stop I was just having to much fun. Fluttershy was complete and utterly, horrified that she had trusted Barry. Barry seeming to sense Fluttershy's thoughts said "It's not your fault Fluttershy, many of my victims fell for the same mistake. But I must be off Fluttershy, I'm on a murdering spree. You wouldn't happen to be able to point me in the direction of any ponies I can kill?" Fluttershy gasped her eyes darting to a picture of her friends that sat on the mantle opposite her, worried about the safety of her friend's. Barry followed Fluttershy's eyes to where she was looking and smiled as he said "do not worry my dear they will join you shortly." Fluttershy cried out in panic and trying to reason with him she said "please don't hurt them, they don't deserve this Barry, take me but please just leave them alone." Barry laughed at her desperate attempts to reason with him, he thought that maybe he could have even more fun before she died. Thinking quickly to himself he thought of something to say. "Very well Fluttershy, I will leave your friend's be, you have my word that I will not hurt them." Fluttershy's face seemed to relax a little as if the knowledge of knowing her friend's would not be hurt brought her peace. Upon seeing her facial expression change from panic and horror to just horror told him that it worked. Barry lifted the knife above his head causing Fluttershy to cower down in fear, Barry brought the knife down into her chest and relished in her scream. He did this again and again laughing like a maniac as he stabbed Fluttershy, watching the life being slowly dredged from her body. She seemed to be at peace with her death and Barry knew how he could change that. He grabbed Fluttershy's head and tilted it towards his and said. "So sorry dear, but I fear there has been a change of plans, your friend's will die after all." Barry laughed as he saw her facial expression and brought the knife down into her chest one last time, Fluttershy slumped back against the wall stab wounds littering her body. Barry laughed to himself, as he saw Fluttershy's lifeless corpse lying on the floor of her cottage. Her blood pooling at his feet, he walked over to the picture of her friends that rested on the mantle and as he gazed at it he said "This is going to be fun." An Impromptu MeetingThe Problem With Serial Killers Chapter 3 An Impromptu Meeting BEEP BEEP BEEP. Rarity’s alarm clock blared. Rarity poked her head out of her covers, and huffed a sigh of defeat. Using her unicorn magic, she engulfed the sheets in her blue aura and slid them off of her. Getting up she made sure to leave the bed mostly intact so that she could make it much more easily. I must remember to stop by Fluttershy’s today, she seemed like there was something she wanted some help with. Rarity's thought to herself. After neatly making the bed several times until she got it perfect, Rarity trotted slowly to her large bathroom the confines of sleep still lingering in her mind. Rarity’s bathroom was much like a beauty salon, any and all things that had to with beauty products or personal hygiene she had. Rarity walked over to her large full length mirror, and looked herself over. Rarity liked what she saw, she had a shapely hourglass figure, her body had just the right amount of body fat she wasn’t skinny and she wasn’t fat she was the happy medium. Her mane’s lustrous sheen sparkled in the mid day sun. Rarity was the effigy of beauty, from her head to her hooves she radiated with it. After Rarity finished getting ready she walked down the stairs into her kitchen and made herself breakfast and then walked into her boutique ready for the day. After a long day of sewing and dressmaking Rarity clamored back to her room and passed out on the bed. Then she remembered that she was going to go see Fluttershy, glancing over at the clock on her wall which said 7:00 p.m. I still have enough time, she thought to herself. Rarity gathered her things, neatly shoved them into her saddlebag and made off in the direction of Fluttershy’s cottage. Rarity always wondered, being as skittish as she was why Fluttershy had her house on the edge of the Everfree Forest, Fluttershy said it was because she was closer to her animal friends but Rarity knew that wasn’t the whole truth. As she was walking down the dirt road that lead to Fluttershy’s cottage she heard a voice. “I wouldn’t go in that direction, I heard some god awful screams coming from that direction, sounded as if someone was being murdered.” Rarity spun around trying to find the source of the mysterious voice and standing right in front of her was a creature unlike any she had ever seen. The creature was tall, taller than the princesses standing about 2 metres tall and it was heavily muscled. It stood on two legs, and had things at the end of its forearms that appeared to be similar to Spike’s claws. She looked it in the face, it had a black mane that had been cropped short, and sea green eyes that seemed to sparkle. It opened it’s mouth and smiled at her, she backed away scared out of her mind. The creature spoke again it’s voice was filled with charisma, as if each word he spoke was the word of god. “I’m sorry miss, I didn’t mean to frighten you. My name is Barry, May I ask your name miss? Rarity was stunned, here in front of her was a tall muscular creature that somewhat resembled an ape, and it had just talked to her in a very civilized manner, even going so far as to call her miss. Rarity stuttered for a bit much to Barry’s amusement and finally gathered her bearings enough to say “My name is Rarity.” Barry seemed amused and gave her a small smirk that vanished as quickly as it appeared. Barry replied to the white unicorn by saying. “Well, it’s nice to meet you Miss Rarity. What pray tell is a gorgeous young mare such as yourself doing by herself in a dangerous place such as this? There are many wild creatures that live here, and I would hate to see you get injured.” Rarity blushed, this creature, Barry he said his name was, was very polite, treating a lady as a gentleman should. Rarity thought to herself that she might be able to get him to spend a little more time with her. “You’re right, I don’t know what I was thinking, but my dear friend Fluttershy seemed as if she needed help with something when I saw her the other day and I was on my way to her cottage. I was wondering if you could be so kind as to escort me there so I don’t get scared.” Rarity said as she bashed her eyelashes at him. Barry thought to himself This is great, one of Fluttershy’s friends has just fallen straight into my lap and I didn’t have to go looking for her. If I play my cards right I may actually be able to lure them all in without to much difficulty. After thinking to himself for a couple seconds Barry said. “Why yes Miss Rarity I would be honoured to escort your friend’s cottage.” Upon hearing this Rarity almost squealed with glee, she thought to herself. If I play my cards right I actually may be able to get this creature to stay with me permanently. None can withstand my seductive charms, even Twilight Sparkle the princesses prize pupil couldn’t. Rarity took the lead walking back down the path with Barry in tow. Barry walked closely beside the mare, as they neared Fluttershy’s cottage, Barry started thinking about how he could taunt and play with Rarity before he killed her. Barry decided that it would be best if he played it by ear. As he debated on how to kill her he didn’t notice that they had arrived at the door. Rarity tapped Barry on the elbow drawing him out of his brainstorming and said. “We’re here, but I was wondering if you might be able to come in with me, it looks awful dark in the house and I’m frightened.” Barry nodded as he opened the door and motioned her in with huge grin on his face. As Rarity walked in she stepped in something, something warm and squishy. Fumbling for the light switch on the wall, Rarity flicked it on and beheld the most horrible sight her virgin eyes had ever set eyes on. Lying there in the middle of a puddle of her own blood was Fluttershy, Rarity screamed in horror and rushed over to her friend not caring if the gore ruined her coat. Tears were streaming down her face as she screamed “Fluttershy!!! Oh my god, Fluttershy!!!, who could have done something so horrible. Barry you’ve got to help me, please get some help. What happened to you Fluttershy?! The emotional strain was too much and she collapsed on Fluttershy’s lifeless corpse and bawled her eyes out. “Why how did this happen, who would do something like this?” Barry stood there grinning on the side, unnoticed by Rarity who was still cradling the yellow pegasus and he said with a sadistic smile that rivaled the devil himself. “She made the mistake of trusting me,” he paused for emphasis and continued “the same mistake you just made.” All the colour drained out of Rarity’s face as she realized what Barry had said. “Y-You did this? H-How could you do something so horrible?! Rarity stuttered her muscles locking up from fear. Barry slowly circled her, a god-awful grin plastered across his face. “Why yes my dear of course I did, this is clearly my handiwork. Do you like it? This is like an art, look at the way the blood has splattered the walls, the look that is still frozen on her now lifeless corpse as I stabbed her to death. The last thing she said was please don’t hurt my friend’s. Barry laughed at Rarity as she stood there frozen with an expression of pure horror on her face. Barry pulled out a knife, the same knife that he had used to kill Fluttershy, her blood had sinced dried and now caked the knife. Barry pulled out a cloth and started to wipe it off, and as he did he spoke. “Where I come from, I was a wanted criminal. I killed my first person to avenge the death of my family, but after I was finished I loved it too much. I went on killing spree’s using my raw charisma to draw people in where I would then chop them up into itty bitty pieces. But the thing I always found annoying about killing humans is that they always fight back. When I woke up in this world and saw how passive you ponies were, I knew that this would be the most fun I ever had.” As Barry finished cleaning the blood off the knife he said. “The name the public gave me for the way I killed was Barry the Chopper, and now my dear Rarity I will bestow my gift upon you and I won’t stop until you're in a thousand pieces. With that Barry stepped forward knife raised high, it’s cold steel once again screaming for the blood of the innocent. Seeing Barry raise the knife was the kick Rarity needed to unfreeze her muscles and run. She side-stepped Barry’s first stab and ran for the door but Barry was already there blocking her path. She ran in the opposite direction aiming for the window, Barry was once again there blocking her path, but he managed to time his stab with the knife and nick Rarity’s back leg, Rarity yelped in pain but kept running trying to find an opening where she could escape. Barry kept at this for 20 minutes chasing her around occasionally scoring a hit with his knife. Eventually Rarity was too exhausted to even move and she sunk down to the ground in defeat, and as she fell to the ground Barry was there towering over her knife raised ready to strike. Barry said “Since I had such a fun time chasing you, I’ll make your death quick and relatively painless.” Barry raised the knife above his head and brought it down into Rarity’s neck. Rarity recoiled in pain and shock but was to tired to scream and knowing that her time was nigh she whispered in a faint voice. “I’m sorry everypony..I’m so sor…” Those were the last words that Rarity ever spoke. Barry looked at Rarity’s once beautiful body now tainted with the blood that was pouring out of the hole in her neck. Barry laughed to himself as he mentally crossed another pony off his tally. He wondered where he would start to look for the other people. He pulled out the picture that he got from Fluttershy’s mantle and looked it over. He had killed Fluttershy and Rarity, he still had a purple unicorn, a blue pegasus, an orange pony that was wearing a cowboy hat and a pink pony. He smiled at the thought of all six of them lying on the ground as lifeless corpses. But Barry realized that it didn’t need to stop with Fluttershy and her friend’s, there were many other ponies that were just perfect targets nonetheless. He set out towards the direction that Rarity had come from assuming that it was the direction of the town that Fluttershy had called Ponyville. He couldn’t wait for the day, that he looked over the town of Ponyville and saw it’s resident’s slaughtered in the streets, but he wouldn’t stop there he would go to many towns and cities and slaughter them all. Twilight Sparkle (Alternate)“Hey Twilight, have you seen Rarity recently?” Spike asked. Twilight Sparkle sighed and shook her head, that dragon never does anything other than eat jewels and think about Rarity. What am I going to do with him? Twilight thought to herself. But Spike did have a point, she hadn’t seen Rarity since their last pony pet play date a week ago. Her worry getting the best of her she called out. “Hey Spike, did Rarity say anything about going anywhere or doing anything?” “Now that you mention it, she did mention wanting to go to Fluttershy’s because she thought something was bothering her.” Spike’s replied. Twilight thought to herself that may be, but I can’t help but think that something’s not right, it might be nothing but I should go after the library closes tonight just to be sure. After Twilight closed the library for the night and she put Spike to bed she decided that now would be a good time for her to check. Pulling on her cloak for protection from the cold, she set out the front door in the direction of Fluttershy’s cottage. After about fifteen minutes of walking she came into view of Fluttershy’s cottage, and the sight she saw concerned her greatly. Leaning against the front of Fluttershy’s cottage was a tall bipedal creature. This creature was huge easily taller than Princess Celestia, it was just standing there whistling a tune. Twilight not knowing if this creature was dangerous or not, approached it cautiously. When she got within speaking distance she apprehensively asked. “Excuse me, but what are you?” The creature stopped whistling and turned in Twilight’s direction and sized her up with it’s cold piercing gaze. After staring at Twilight for about 30 seconds the creature spoke. “My name is Barry, I am a human and who might you be?” Twilight was momentarily taken aback, she didn’t expect this creature to understand her let alone speak. After getting over her initial shock, she spoke again, but this time with a frenzied excitement. “Oh my gosh, what’s a human? Can they all speak? Where are you from? Equestria? Or somewhere else? Oh I wish I would’ve packed a notepad and quill.” The creature who had introduced himself to Twilight as Barry chuckled to himself and spoke in a voice that was calmer than Twilight thought possible and said. “My you’re a curious one, before I answer your questions I must do something first.” Twilight gazed at him curiously and asked “What is that?” The creature spoke with a mad grin on it’s face. “This!!!” as he said that he pulled out a large knife, that appeared to be caked with dried blood. “I’m so sorry dear, I would love to stay and chat but I am on a tight schedule.” As he finished his sentence he raised the knife ready to strike, but that’s as far as he got. Twilight’s horn flared as she ripped the knife out of Barry’s hands, and threw it to the side. Barry was stunned having never seen magic before. Twilight used his distraction to her advantage as she engulfed him in her Byzantium aura and used her magic to force him to his knees. With no other options Barry started to scream and curse. “You stupid pony bitch, just you wait, I’ll get out of here and I’ll kill all of you. You ain’t shit you assholes.” After Twilight had heard enough out of him, she decided the best bet would be to put him to sleep with her magic and wait for the Royal Guard to arrive and take him to Canterlot. Charging up the necessary spell she slowly walked towards Barry who was still struggling against his magical bonds. When he saw Twilight approaching him again, but this time her horn glowing even brighter he expected the worst and tried to plead with her. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, please let me go I’ll be good I promise.” Barry’s voice growing in desperation the closer Twilight got. “NO NO STAY AWAY, GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!!!” Twilight was right up against Barry, spell fully charged, she looked in Barry’s eyes and saw the sheer panic that seemed to be seeping out of them, she sighed knowing this would bother her later and touched her horn to his brow. Suddenly Barry’s body went slack as the spell took effect and he fell into a deep slumber. 4 Hours Later Barry woke up in a white room, he looked around and the first thing he noticed was the cleanliness of it. Ughhh, this room is way too clean, too white could use some dried blood to darken it up a bit. Barry thought to himself. He tried to lean up but he was stopped by some kind of restriction. He looked down at his arms and they were held in place by what seemed to be a similar aura to what that pony had captured him with, but this one was a darker purple. Barry’s heard a noise coming from outside the door and his head turned in the direction of the door, the door swung open revealing a number of ponies, the first one that walked through was a white unicorn who appeared to be male, with a large shield tattooed on his rump. The second one that came in seemed to be a cross between a pegasus and a unicorn, she had a huge sun tattooed on her rump. The third one that came in was none other than the pony who had captured him, and the one who he assumed brought him here. Barry struggled against his magical restraints again, but the white unicorn interrupted him by saying. “You will not get past those restraints beast, I cast that spell myself.” The white pegasus-unicorn-thing hushed the unicorn and said “Shining Armor, even if this”...she paused as she searched for the right word and paused again before she resumed speaking “creature, did horrible, unspeakable evil we can still tried to be civilized, Twilight said he called himself Barry.” She directed her attention to Barry and asked “Is that correct?” Barry laughed to himself before retorting “You know it bitch.” The white unicorn that accompanied the white pegasus-unicorn-thing growled out a warning to Barry. “Watch your tongue ingrate, lest I cut it out. You are speaking to Princess Celestia and you will retain an attitude of respect to her. Do I make myself clear?” Barry laughed even harder at this and between his loud guffaws he managed to get a few words out. “I don’t give a rat’s ass, if this is the high and mighty Princess Sun-Ass, I’ll say what I want, and there’s nothing you can do about it.” The male unicorn horn flared, but was interrupted when Princess Celestia put a hoof up. and said her voice laced with authority “That’s enough Shining, Barry why did you decide to kill two of my little ponies? Barry’s face took on a mad grin he smiled as he spoke “I did it because it’s fun, I love the sound of their screams as I stab them, the smell of their blood as it spills on the ground. I loved every bit of killing them. Shining made a low growl of rage in his throat, but stopped when the princess gave him a sideways glance. Princess Celestia looked at the now smiling Barry, her face a mix of anger, disgust, and contempt. How can one creature be this evil? Even Discord didn’t do things this horrible. She thought to herself. Twilight Sparkle spoke up after being quiet the whole time and she said. “Princess I don’t think he is mentally stable, this is probably why he did this. I’ve read of ponies in the past who committed acts like this because they were mentally unstable. I can’t forgive him for what he has done, but I can’t help but pity him. I think that we should put him into a coma until we can figure out what to do with him.” The princess digested this for a few moments before she said “I agree with you Twilight one hundred percent.” Celestia’s horn flared up, blinding the other’s in the room. Barry realizing what she was going to do screamed and struggled against his bonds to no avail. Celestia’s spell was fully charged and Barry heard one more thing before the void took him, “I’m sorry.” Twilight Sparkle"Hey Twilight, have you seen Rarity? I haven't seen her in a while." Twilight sighed and shook her head, and thought to herself I swear, that dragon never does anything but eating gems and thinking about Rarity. But what Spike had said peaked her interest. She hadn't seen Rarity in over a week. The last time she had seen Rarity was at their last pony pet play date. Twilight tried to push the thought of something happening to Rarity out of her mind, but it kept coming back to the forefront of her thoughts. Feeling more and more nervous, she called out. "Hey Spike, did Rarity say anything about doing something?" Spike looked up in thought and Twilight could almost see the gears in his head spinning. After a couple minutes of hard thinking Spikes face lit up and he said "Yes I remember now, she said that she was going to be going to Fluttershy's cottage because she looked like something was bothering her." Twilight sighed in relief that she at least knew that Rarity was someplace safe, but she still had a bit of lingering doubt that was gnawing at her from the inside. She managed to push the doubt out of her mind, after closing the library for the night she decided to go out for some dinner. As she crossed the threshold of her front door, the thought of Rarity crossed her mind again. Not being able to push it back out of her mind, she decided that she would make a small detour towards Fluttershy's cottage before she went out for dinner. Twilight yelled out "Hey Spike, I'm going out. I want you in bed when I get home in a couple hours." She waited and listened and after a couple seconds she heard a faint "okay" from upstairs. After closing and locking the door, she set off in the direction of Fluttershy's cottage. The trip to Fluttershy's domicile was a long arduous trek along a path that ran directly beside the Everfree Forest, and Twilight was not particularly happy about having to walk along it in the dead of night. After walking for about 15 minutes she heard a roar, she had heard this same roar before on the same day she had met her friends, it was the roar of a manticore. After hearing the roar Twilight's pace quickened from a brisk trot to a full out gallop, she was eager to escape the confines of the forest. When Fluttershy's cottage came into view Twilight's body was flooded with relief. As Twilight got closer to the cottage she noticed something, leaning against the wall of Fluttershy's house was a strange looking creature. Normally she would have given it a wide berth but it was standing right between her and her destination. Twilight approached cautiously not knowing if this creature was dangerous or not, as she got closer she noticed more of it's features. It was tall, very tall easily taller than Celestia. It was bipedal like a minotaur but it didn't have the backwards facing joint like they did. It's arms were muscular as well, they weren't as prominent as a minotaurs muscles but they were still quite well defined. It's arms ended with a weird sort of appendage, it wasn't a hoof like ponies or minotaurs nor was it completely like the claws Spike had. Puzzling over in her head what this thing could be she didn't notice that it had changed locations and was no longer leaning against the cottage but was now standing in front of her towering over the lavender mare. Twilight gulped as her eyes moved up the creature's body dreading what she would see in the creature's face. When Twilight's eyes met with the creature's she noticed that they seemed like they were appraising her for something. After a couple moments the creature broke eye contact and walked back to the cottage and resumed its position against the wall. Twilight was momentarily stunned from the creature being so close to her. After a couple moments, she mustered up the courage to approach it again. But this time Twilight asked the creature "Ummm, excuse me? Would you mind moving, my friend lives there." Twilight was not ready for what was about to happen, the creature eyed her for a few seconds and then opened it's mouth as if it meant to speak. Much to Twilight's surprise the creature did just that. With a voice that was filled with charisma the creature said. "Oh my, I'm so very sorry miss. I did not realize I was blocking your path. Allow me to move myself out of your way." Twilight was stunned, she hadn't expected the creature to understand her let alone apologize for being in her way. After getting over her initial shock, Twilight squealed with excitement and yelled. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!! What are you? Are you a new species? Are you from Equestria or somewhere else?" The byzantium unicorn relentlessly bombarded the creature with question after question, barely pausing to take a breath every once in a while. After a couple minutes, Twilight's questions started to slow. She slumped to the ground, exhausted from all the energy she had expended asking the questions. The creature was staring at the unicorn in shock, then burst out in a loud guffaw, his sides violently shaking from the ragged chuckles that passed his lips. Twilight looked at the laughing creature in confusion, not sure what she had said to make the creature laugh. "Why are you laughing?" Twilight interjected. The creatures laughter ceased except for the occasional giggle that racked it's body and said. "I find your exuberance amusing, not many beings are so eager to learn new things." Twilight beamed at the compliment, and spoke again but this time with tact. "I apologize for my earlier behaviour, I was just so intrigued I couldn't contain myself." The creature smiled, and said. "There is nothing to apologize for, curiosity is something that should be embraced not shied away from. To answer a couple of your previous questions, I'm not from around here, I am what my species call a human. You may call me Barry." Twilight's mouth was agape, standing in front of her was a new species that she had discovered. It was also capable of speech no less, she could study him and maybe have a paper on him published for the scientific community. After running through multiple scenarios in her head, each one becoming more exciting she decided she should start her investigation. "So Barry, do you mind if I ask you a couple more questions?" Twilight asked. Barry looked at a small metallic device on his wrist and then up at Twilight and then back down again, and said "yeah, I guess I can fit in a couple minutes." "Okay then, first question. How did an species of animal like yourself learn to talk?" All the colour drained from Barry's face, as he realized what the unicorn had implied. She made the same mistake just like her friend Fluttershy had. She had implied that he was nothing more than a animal, some kind of circus beast that had been trained to talk, and he would not stand for that. Reaching behind him he gripped the hilt of his knife ready to strike. He would strike when Twilight finished speaking. Twilight continued to drone on, each question becoming more invasive than the last until Barry couldn't take it any longer. "Enough!!!" He shouted. "I've had enough of your pointless questions you fucking bitch, you're more annoying than both of your friends especially that purple-maned unicorn." Twilight's eyes widened in surprise at his sudden outburst and then narrowed in suspicion at his mention of another unicorn, he had said purple maned meaning he might have seen Rarity. Swallowing a growing lump in her throat she asked. "Did you see a unicorn mare with a white coat, purple mane and a cutie mark of some gems on her flank?" Barry smiled at Twilight's question and said, "why yes, now that you mention it I did see a unicorn who looked just like that." Twilight sighed in relief and said "oh thank goodness, where did you see her?" Barry gave her another smile, but this one seemed to have a dark atmosphere to it. Almost as if it was trying to warn Twilight about things to come. Twilight shuddered and push the thought out of her mind. She spoke again this time with determination and pride. "I'm sorry Barry, but I'm in a bit of a hurry would you mind telling me where you saw her so I can go and find her." Barry's smile got even wider and he said. "Last time I saw her she was inside Fluttershy's cottage." Twilight looked over at Fluttershy's door, apprehensively she walked over towards the door and stopped. She thought to herself what happens if this is a trick of some sort, then what will I do? I have got to have faith in myself, if this is a trap then I'm sure I can take anything he throws at me. Gathering up her courage she knocked on the door and shouted. "Fluttershy, Rarity, is somepony in there?" After waiting a couple seconds and hearing nothing she knocked again, after she knocked on the door a couple more times and had no response she decided that she would go in. Twilight grabbed the doors handle in her magic aura and pushed. What Twilight saw next would haunt her for the rest of her life. Lying there on the ground were to of her best-friends Fluttershy and Rarity. They were both sprawled over on the floor in a bloody heap. Twilight screamed in horror and rushed over to them, not caring about the blood they were both soaked with. "Noooooo!!! Fluttershy!!! Rarity!!! Oh my god, who did this?! I should have been there for you both or this wouldn't have happened." Twilight broke down into a sobbing mess, she just lay there embracing the lifeless corpses of her two friends. Barry walked into the room and leaned against the wall grinning down at Twilight's reaction to her friends deaths. After she had lay there sobbing for about 10 minutes he spoke up and said. "You shouldn't blame yourself, there is nothing you could have done. No one is able to stand up to me not even the Elements of Harmony." Twilight digested what Barry had just said and it then dawned on her, that he was the one that did this to her friend's. Twilight's horror and grief were replaced with pure unadulterated rage. "You did this! I will kill you and grind your body down to nothing with my magic!" Twilight screamed. Barry smiled at the sight of her anger, so cute, it's a shame I am going to kill her. But maybe I can just maim her and finish the job at a later date. It would be quite fun to toy with her. Barry thought to himself. Twilight was still standing there fuming, getting ready to attack. She wouldn't hold anything back she was going to destroy this monster, so that he would never be able to harm anypony ever again. She snorted hot air out of her nostrils and pawed the ground with her hoof and she ran forwards, everything else was a searing pain on her left shoulder and then the comforting embrace of unconsciousness. When Twilight came to, she was lying on the ground her hooves shackled onto the ground with steel chains. Her horn flared about to user her magic to escape but was interrupted by a voice. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, you had a concussion from where I hit you and I don't think you want to be attempting to use magic when your concentration will be off." He was right, unicorn magic took focus and trying to use magic with a concussion could be bad. Twilight sighed in defeat and slumped back against the cold hard ground. Curiosity getting the best of her she asked. "So, how long will you keep me for? What are you going to do with me?" Barry smiled at what she asked and said. "I won't be keeping you for very long, and about what I'm going to do to you is going to be a surprise. But here is where we part ways for now, I have a master plan that I'm cooking up and this is only the beginning." Twilight was stunned, he was going to just let her go, just like that? Barry seeming to sense Twilight's shock said. "In a way, but I'm going to be leaving you with a little parting gift. In the sense that it will part you, don't worry, you won't die it will just be very painful." As he finished his sentence he pulled out a skinning knife, it's silver gleam shimmering in the moonlight. Twilight screamed, struggling against her bonds. Barry reveled in her panic, and as he drew closer he raised the knife above his head ready to strike. The last thing she remembered before her vision faded to black was the feeling of her left leg being parted from her body.
FluttershyBarry woke up in a warm soft feather bed, his head was propped up against a plushy pillow that seemed to have been made for his head it was so comfortable.
Her blood pooling at his feet, he walked over to the picture of her friends that rested on the mantle and as he gazed at it he said "This is going to be fun."
An Impromptu MeetingThe Problem With Serial Killers Chapter 3 An Impromptu Meeting BEEP BEEP BEEP.
Celestia’s spell was fully charged and Barry heard one more thing before the void took him, “I’m sorry.”
Twilight Sparkle"Hey Twilight, have you seen Rarity?
