My little Metro: Radiation is magic

Pain.  Four letters.  Noun.  Pain is the feeling of physical suffering or distress, as due to injury, illness, and etcetera.  Many people around here are aware of what pain feels like, some more familiar with it than others.  I, personally, know it well enough.

Pain, is what I felt in my shoulders.  They hurt, all so much.  My wings were driving me crazy!  But that was only a sign of worse things to come that day.

As a colt, I was pretty well off, considering.  I had a good family, real family.  Having your real family was something short of a miracle in the tunnels.  My mother and father were working daily… and made reasonable profits to raise their only child.  Me.  Pa was an armyman, Ma was a cook.  We lived in railcar seven on the far right corner.  It was a good place.  The bed was comfy, the fire was warm, and it was the farthest from the station airlock.  That’s why I, Ivan evdokiya, am lucky enough to still breathe.
